Chapter 5: First Hero Class
It was the first real day of school. The first half of the day was normal school classes like math and literature. But the classes that everyone was looking forward to.
Though for Izuku and Ochaco lunch was rather instructing as they ate with Iida.
Izuku was fanboying over meeting Lunch Rush, a hero famous for his cooking as well as working as the cook for UA.
Though it was after that it was interesting.
"Oh Tenya! You made some friends!" called out a voice.
Izuku and Ochaco noticed two people walking towards them.
One of them it was hard to determine the gender of but she had light green hair but they were wearing the boy's unform, the other was a girl and her hair was iridescent.
"Tenshi!" said Iida.
"Looks like my baby cousin found some friends." Said the green haired person patting Iida on the head.
Table they were at had two free seats.
The two looked at Ochaco and Izuku, glaring at them for a brief second.
"Oh yes! This is my cousin Tenshi Iida and her girlfriend Akari Niji!" said Iida.
"We're both in class 1-B." said Akari (who was the girl with iridescent hair)
"Congrats for passing Aizawa… though it would surprise me if he just got tired of expelling students." Said Tenshi who was indeed the one with green hair.
"What?" asked Iida.
"It's true… he's known for expelling students." Said Tenshi.
"But he's known for quickly reenrolling them." Said Akari.
The three first years were shocked by this.
Thankfully Ochaco got an idea to change the subject.
"So you two are dating?" asked Ochaco.
"We are." Said Tenshi.
"For quite a while now…" said Akari.
That was when Akari grabbed her girlfriend's tie and planted a very passionate kiss on her girlfriend.
Iida was incensed by this.
"You shouldn't be doing that!" said Iida.
"Now tell me why li' cousin." Said Tenshi.
"Because we are in school! And this is UA!" said Iida.
Both girls were smirking, as it was clear to Ochaco and Izuku that they wanted Iida to get upset by them making out.
"But yeah… we are dating…" said Tenshi.
The conversations changed throughout lunch.
Of course afterwards was the thing they were really looking forward to: Hero class.
Everyone was wondering who the teacher was…
That was when All Might stepped through the door calling out "I am coming through the door like a normal person!"
Most of the class went wild at this, after all he was the top hero of Japan.
""All right! It's time for our first class! Which is a battle training! But first in order to be a hero you have to look like heroes!" said All Might.
He took out a remote and suddenly one of the walls opened up revealed metal suit cases and the class cheered .
"Costumes!" they all said.
Just about everyone was excited for it.
And so they were told to go to Training Ground Beta.
Soon enough everyone was getting dressed in their costumes.
Izuku's costume was a gift from his mother to be honest.
It wasn't the best but it fit what he was going for.
It was a teal suit with white markings and mask that resembled All Might's hair style and a mouth guard that resembled a smile.
He joined his classmates.
"Izu-Kun!" called out Ochaco.
"Hey!" said Izuku.
He looked at her costume with a suit that was black and light pink, with puffy pink boots and a clear pink helmet over her face.
"IT really fits you…" said Ochaco, "Plus I really like the bunny look! It's really cute and they are all my favorite animals."
"Yeah… that's what I'm going for!" laughed Izuku nervously.
Those who were over hearing the conversation sweat dropped as they realized it wasn't what he was going fort…
"Your costume is cute too!" said Izuku.
"Thanks but I wanted something puffier, it's way too tight." Said Ochaco.
"Hero class is great!" said Mineta giving the thumbs up.
Izuku glared at Mineta harshly who began to slink away.
"All right newbies!" called out All Might, "Time for your class."
He explained the assignment which was a two on two fight. One team would playing as heroes while the other as villains.
"Now do you have any questions?" asked All Might.
"How are teams chosen?" asked Iida.
"What determines the win?" asked Yaoyorozu
"Can I beat up the opponents?" asked Bakugo.
"Do we have to be worried about expulsion?" asked Ochaco.
"Is my cape tres chic?" asked Aoyama.
"Hold on! Hold on! My quirk isn't super hearing." Said All Might.
He took outs some notes.
The way it would work was that the villain would be protecting a fake bomb and it was the heroes job to stop it from blowing up.
The heroes would win by touching the bomb or captioning the villains.
While the villains would win when the bomb "exploded" or they defeated the heroes.
"As for teams! We'll be drawing lots!" said All Might.
"Is that a wise idea?" asked Iida who's costume was a full suit of armor.
"In missions like this heroes often team up with heroes from other agencies." Pointed out Izuku.
"Oh you're quite right." Said Iida, "Never mind I take back my question."
And so the teams were picked and Ochaco ended up on the same team as Izuku which was Team A.
And then the first match was announced, which was Team A VS Team D.
Team D was Iida and Bakugo.
All Might gave advice to the villains about embracing "true villainy".
Still both teams had five minutes to plan.
"So Bakugo… he knows about…" said Ochaco.
"Yeah… we grew up together." Said Izuku, "He was always so amazing at everything and well… he would always do stuff since I was you know…"
That was when the air turned black around her and she made a very scary face.
"What…" said Izuku.
"He hurt you just because you were…" said Ochaco.
"It wasn't that bad! I mean everyone else was doing it too and well…" said Izuku.
She looked even more scary when saying that.
"Anyways I think he's going to go after me first thing… so…" said Izuku.
"Then I'll stick right by you." Said Ochaco.
Izuku was sweating at her face.
That was when there was chime which was the signal for the two of them to enter the building.
They entered the building… they looked around where the bomb was being kept.
That was when Bakugo yelled out "DEKU!" and made and explosive entrance.
"Izu-Kun!" yelled Ochaco.
Izuku stood, half of his mask was gone but he looked fine.
"It's just my mask." Said Izuku.
Ochaco glared at Bakugo.
"You got some nerve!" yelled Ochaco.
"Why are you defending that pathetic nerd!" yelled Bakugo, "You don't know what he's like!"
"Well at least I don't bully people weaker than me!" said Ochaco.
"What the fuck that does mean!" yelled Bakugo.
"Ochaco… please…" said Izuku.
"What…" said Ochaco.
"I should be the one to fight him…" said Izuku.
Ochaco looked at him.
"Fine… but if we're in a situation like this again I get to fight him!" said Ochaco.
"Okay." Said Izuku.
Ochaco ran off to find the bomb.
Bakugo's eye twitched.
"What the fuck is her problem!" yelled Bakugo.
"She my best friend." Said Izuku.
Bakugo groaned.
"At least you know not to let your girlfriend fight your battles for you." Muttered Bakugo.
"She's not my girlfriend." Said Izuku blushing.
Bakugo rolled his eyes.
Then made a move to attack.
Izuku dodged the attack and tried to use the capture tape on his arm.
However… Bakugo noticed it and managed to escape before he was fully captured.
Izuku sighed.
He knew he had to get more serious and he began to spark with his quirk.
He kicked Bakugo in the face.
"So you have a quirk Deku!" muttered Bakugo.
"I do…" said Izuku.
"So you were having a laugh then." Said Bakugo, "Hiding your quirk from me just to mock me behind my back."
"What?" asked Izuku.
"Don't lie Deku!" yelled Bakugo.
"I'm not lying! Why would I laugh at you behind your back!" yelled Izuku genuinely confused.
Bakugo let loose another explosion.
Which Izuku quickly dodged.
Izuku looked at his former friend and bully and knew there was something he had to say.
"Kacchan! I might have a quirk now but that doesn't mean I'm going to still be your punching bag! I'm here to be a hero! And no matter what I will show you that I'm no longer weak!" said Izuku.
Upstairs Ochaco found the hiding spot.
She was a right next to door and to what Iida was saying…
He put on a fake evil voice and declaring himself the ultimate evil.
IT was too much for Ochaco who couldn't help but to laugh at him.
"Uraraka! I heard you!" called out Iida.
"Oh man…" said Ochaco embarrassed.
"Found you Uraraka"! said Iida.
Ochaco knew she had to fight Iida.
"Now Uraraka… I cleaned the room! So you don't have any ammo!" said Iida.
Indeed the room was spotless.
Ochaco sighed… this was going to be a tough fight.
So she decided to jump at the bomb.
However Iida decided to grab the fake bomb and run away with it.
"I am two steps ahead of you! And I know you can't bring out those powers!" said Iida.
"Can you please not talk about those…" said Ochaco, "It's supposed to be a secret…"
"Oh right!" said Iida then broke character, "Wait… doesn't All Might already know about them?"
He realized that as All Might was on the list of Heroes that were backing the Sailor Senshi.
"Yeah but I don't want Bakugo knowing about them…" muttered Ochaco.
"Oh right he can hear me…" said Iida somewhat embarrassed.
Ochaco gave Iida at deadpan look.
"Still!" said Iida getting back into character.
He began to monologue.
After a bit Ochaco knew he was distracted and way into character.
So she called up Izuku.
:"Izu-Kun? Can you hear me?" asked Ochaco.
"I'm busy… I'm sorry…" replied Izuku.
"Are you still fight him?" asked Ochaco.
"How are things going with Iida?" asked Izuku.
"He's monologuing.' Said Ochaco.
"Keep his distracted! I'll try to finish my fight with Kacchan!" said Izuku, "The best way tis keep him talking…"
"Okay!" said Ochaco.
Bakugo noticed the when Izuku was distracted.
"Are you seriously talking with your girlfriend." Said Bakugo.
"We're a team and we're supposed to working together." Said Izuku.
"Whatever…" muttered Bakugo.
Part of Bakugo's costume were gauntlets that looked like grenades.
He lifted his arm.
"You're such a nerd that you know how much quirk works." Said Bakugo.
Izuku didn't say anything.
"These gauntlets store up my sweat…" he said.
Izuku started to sweat, he knew that Bakugo's quirk worked by turning his sweat which was a nitro glycine like substance which he could detonate in his hands.
He saw he pulled on grenade hand and a pin popped out.
"Young Bakugo! Stop! That could kill him!" yelled All Might.
"He won't die if he dodges." Said Bakugo.
He shot out a large explosion from the gauntlet.
Izuku was able to dodge in time thankfully.
He did get some injuries, but he activated his healing abilities and quickly healed them.
In the control room All Might was shaking, he knew that Izuku had some sort of relationship between the two boys.
He considered stopping the fight but felt like Izuku needed it.
So he let it county.
Back with the fight Izuku had an idea and used as much strange his body could handle at the moment.
When the smoke cleared, Izuku decided to punch Bakugo in her upper arm.
Thanks to the strength he had inside of him Bakugo screamed in pain as he felt the bone break.
Izuku flinched as he didn't mean to break the bone.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" yelled Bakugo.
"I'm sorry Kacchan! I didn't mean to!" said Izuku.
Bakugo flinched at the pain.
"I can still fight!" he yelled.
He tried to track Izuku with his good arm, however Izuku dodged on the side of his broke arm.
He managed to get the capture tape around Bakugo's arm this time.
"Bakugo is out!" called out All Might.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" yelled Bakugo.
However Izuku couldn't help it, he used his healing ability and started to heal his arm.
"What are you doing!" yelled Bakugo.
"I didn't mean to break your arm Kacchan!" said Izuku.
Izuku could tell that he healed it enough and ran away.
"The fuck!" yelled Bakugo.
"I'm headed you way!" called out Izuku.
"Do you have an idea?" asked Ochaco.
"I do… just keep his attention!" said Izuku.
"Okay!" said Ochaco.
She didn't want to mentioned that she kept his attention the whole time.
Right now he was describing his tragic back story about his he was resentful about his brother getting all of the attention from him growing up.
Ochaco wondered if she needed to ask about that.
But still he was firmly and utterly distracted by his monologue that he didn't know that Izuku had climbed out of the window, jumped up the wall and entered the window as quietly as possible.
HE grabbed onto the bomb.
"Hero Team wins!" called out All Might.
"WHAT!" yelled Iida.
"Great job Izu-Kun!" said Ochaco.
Iida sighed finally getting out of character.
"Um… Iida.." said Ochaco.
"Don't worry … I made up that stuff about my parents and older brother." Said Iida,
"Okay." Said Ochaco.
"All right! Everyone return to the observation room for your grade!" called out All Might.
They all went to get the grade.
"All right for the MVP of the match is Young Midoriya!" said All Might.
"Really?" asked Izuku blushing.
"Can anyone guess why?" asked All Might.
Yaoyorozu stepped forward.
"Bakugo clearly held a grudge against Midoriya, Uraraka got distracted and gave herself away, Iida on the other hand got too deep into character and kept his focus on his monologue…" said Yaoyorozu.
"Which I will say is a common way to deal with villains…" said All Might.
It was clear from his tone of voice that he knew all too well how those fights went.
"Midoriya though he fought with Bakugo was able to keep his head in the game." Said Yaoyorozu, "And once he was done with the fight he was able to capture the weapon."
All Might blushed realizing that Yaoyorozu hit the nail on the head. Though he chuckled realizing something about her… but kept it to himself.
"I would have also added that Midoriya also provided first aid to his enemy, which is a common occurrence in fights of this nature where an injury is too grave… though it should have been saved after the match." Said All Might.
Izuku blushed at this in embarrassment.
"Now for the next match." Said All Might.
"Hey man is your arm okay?" asked a boy with spikey red hair and pointy teeth named Kirishima.
"I'm fine…" muttered Bakugo.
His broken bone was fixed by the still had. Very large bruise on his arm.
The next match was Todoroki (a boy with half red hair and half white hair) and Shoji (a boy with many tentacles on his arms he could turn in hands) vs. Hagakure and Ojiro (a boy with a tail) as the villain..
The match was very quick as Todoroki just flash froze the building.
The rest of the matches weren't that dramatic though…
And so at the end of class.
"All right! Young Bakugo… you should go to Rectory Girl to get that looked at. Even with Young Midoriya's healing, he wasn't able to heal it comply."
Bakugo merely grunted.
"But still all of you did a good job today! Now watch as a hero leaves!" said All Might.
He ran off very quickly.
Most of the students were impressed by it.
However Ochaco and Izuku flinched at this knowing why he ran away so fast.
All but Bakugo headed back to class.
Though after a while, Izuku was getting worried as Bakugo hadn't come back yet.
"I'm going to look for Kacchan." Said Izuku.
"Are you sure?" asked Ochaco.
"I'm sure." Said Izuku.
He went to leave.
Ochaco pouted as he left.
"Hey… what's wrong?" asked Mina.
"It's nothing…" said Ochaco.
"It's not nothing… you're clearly hiding something." Said Mina.
"I said it's nothing." Said Ochaco.
"It's not right to pry into your classmates' feelings." Said Iida.
The rest of the class just watched it.
That was when Jiro suddenly froze…
"Hey are you okay?" asked Yaoyorozu.
"I'm fine… there's something I have to do…" said Jiro.
She walked out of the room.
Once she was away from the classroom she started to run.
As she ran down the hallway she nearly crashed into Tenshi and Akari.
"Oh sorry about that." Said Jiro.
"It looks important." Said Akari.
"It is…" said Jiro.
"You better go run." Said Tenshi.
Jiro did so.
"So she's…" said Akari.
"I thought we agreed not get involved…" said Tenshi.
"You're right…" sighed Akari.
Outside, Izuku and Bakugo were talking.
Izuku ended up admitted that he had a borrowed quirk and that Ochaco knew about it. But didn't say who gave it to him.
However Bakugo. Just yelled at him and vented about certain things including that he knew he couldn't face Todoroki in a fight.
He was about to leave.
However as he was leave something Bakugo in the chest.
It was a purple crystal.
The same type of purple that hit Iida the day before.
He started to scream in pain a monster that looked like it was made grenades appeared as Bakugo collapsed.
Izuku stared at the monster… knowing it was another fight and wasn't sure what he could do at the moment…
Next Time: With the monster created from Bakugo's quirk on a rampage things don't look good, however one of the Sailor Senshi awakens her power, who is it? Find out next time!
A/N: Tenshi and Akari are probably who you think they are... I will get more into them in the future...
