"OH, HEY CHIMON!" Chimon heard Nejire shriek which caused him to jump.

Chimon just barely managed to catch his notepad and pen before turning back to the jumpy girl. Chimon blinked and turned to the girl with interest.

"O-oh, hey, Nejire." Chimon said as he scratched at the back of his neck. "What are you doing here?" Chimon questioned as he hummed and looked to the side.

Chimon mentally cursed himself when he messed up his words. He knew for a fact that all the students lived on campus. It was a very stupid question to ask, one that he chastised himself for thinking made a good topic.

However? It seemed that Nejire either didn't mind or didn't seem to pay any attention to this. She walked up to the ink controlling superhero. Chimon hummed and twirled his pen through his fingers all the while.

"You most students at UA are headed to hero agencies!" Nejire said as she rocked on her heels.

"Yeah… Sounds pretty cool, getting to work with pro heroes who have seen things that we haven't…" Chimon responded as he hummed. "I still haven't picked one I want to mentor under." Chimon stated and hummed to himself.

That much Chimon knew was true. He was quite curious as to who he could apprentice under. There was a fair many amount of heroes that Chimon would have liked to serve under. He just couldn't pick any random hero.

"Oh, like Ryukyu! I'm serving in her agency! It's REALLY FUN!" Nejire put in as Chimon blinked.

'I forgot she showed up with Ryukyu the night of the robbery…. I forgot she's serving under the number 9th hero.' Chimon thought to himself while sheepishly rubbing at his head.

"Well, I don't have a hero agency I think I want to join with." Chimon stated as he looked to the side. "I'm still trying to get doodle to work." Chimon said while he rubbed his hands together.

Nejire started to ponder about this as Chimon hummed and then started to look at his notepad. A few students walked by with a few stopping to chat nearby.

"What about Fat Gum?!" Nejire questioned which caused him to blink. "He's smart, and he his quirk helps with defense! You'd be perfect helping him since he'd help you learn to attack and defend!" Nejire shrieked while hopping up and down.

'I don't think I've ever met someone so peppy to begin with…' Chimon thought to himself as he mentally thought through the idea.

Fat Gum was good. He could use a mentor who understood just how much his quirk needed to grow before it could properly be used in combat.

But his quirk was based on defensive stonewalling until he could strike back. Chimon knew that very well… Enough to ponder it.

'Though it is a good idea to keep in mind.' Chimon thought to himself.

"Yeah… Good idea." Chimon said before scratching his arms. "Hey, you never told me how your quirk works… You did kinda…. Throw me into a wall… Like hard enough to kinda give me a concussion." Chimon stated and hummed.

'Great job, Chimon. Why don't you ask her how she felt almost giving me a head injury worse than that?' Chimon said and tapped on his book.

Chimon almost wondered if he was just cursed with an inability to talk to someone without constantly saying something stupid. It wouldn't have surprised him as much as he thought it would. He knew he 'froze up' as much as he constantly twitched his fingers.

"Oh, that's really simple!" Nejire stated which caused Chimon to almost take a step back in shock at this. "I convert my stamina into shock waves. I fire them out my feet and hands. The more energy I put into it? The more powerful the shock wave." Nejire stated as Chimon raised an eyebrow.

Chimon crossed his arms with interest. That would explain a lot when it came down to it.

"Is that why your so…?" Chimon said before pausing as Nejire tilted his head to the side. "Peppy." Chimon stated with air quotes as he looked around.

Chimon didn't want to say something stupid. He didn't hate Nejire's constant energy. He much preferred it over Bakugo's constant rampages.

Funny in his mind how he was never around him yet the explosive superhero screeched… It was like living next to a nuclear bomb in his mind.

"Yep!" Nejire said as she tilted her head from side to side. "I can talk to Ms. Ryukyu. She'll talk to Fat Gum and get everything set up." Nejire said and watched Chimon nod.

"Thank you." Chimon said, trying not to trip over his words. "Why are you helping me, though? Not that I'm not grateful… Because I am grateful, I mean. I just didn't expect someone to go through all that trouble." Chimon said and fought the urge to smash his notebook into his face.

He really hated how stupid he sounded. Chimon really wanted to stop messing up his words. It REALLY wouldn't help when he started doing pro hero work daily.

"UA went through a lot when All for One attacked." Nejire said, her tone far more serious as she furrowed her brows. "My mentor said UA is more important than ever. We're going to be the next generation of heroes… Plus I just like helping people. I know plenty of people already decided on which hero they'd like to mentor them." Nejire stated and hummed for a moment.

Chimon nodded and then blinked. He needed to do something as a 'thank you.' He owed that much at least.

"Uh, Nejire?" Chimon asked and looked at his sketchbook. "You're going to be there I guess to talk with Fat Gum when I'm there. Right?" Chimon asked and got a nod.

"Yep, Ryukyu wants to talk with the other pros anyway, why?" Nejire questioned as Chimon slipped his pen through his fingers.

"Because I want to make something for you tomorrow…" Chimon said as he felt his face flush. "I mean draw something! As a thanks for helping me like that. I don't have the time to draw it today and I want to come up with something special. That's why I'm asking… I don't want to hunt you across town tomorrow." Chimon said and tapped his pen on his notepad.

Nejire nodded and Chimon smiled before waving and walking away.

"God, I'm such a nerd." Chimon muttered when he finally got far enough away.

Neither noticed the boy with dark ebon eyes watching them as the duo departed.

"Two pro heroes together… It will be fun to see them fall." The boy said and departed.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to apologize for the grammar. I also want to point out Chimon as a hero is supposed to be different from him outside it. Next chapter will be in a week and will set up Chimon signing up with Fat Gum… Along with his bond with Nejire increasing. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
