Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Inky Hearts. Enjoy the 1500-word chapter. I don't own MHA Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi and a few others do.

Nejire had so many questions running through her head. How did Fat Gum's quirk work, did he have to eat a lot to stay in shape?

She turned to look at Aquatint who was busy sketching while allowing Ryuko to speak to Fat Gum. He stopped sketching around the SECOND that both turned to him.

"Ryuko spoke a lot about you." Fat Gum said to which Aquatint bowed respectfully. "You uh… Don't have to do that." Fat Gum said as Aquatint rubbed at the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Sorry, I'm just nervous, sir!" Aquatint said to which Fat Gum turned to Ryuko.

"Tell me more about his quirk at the moment before I talk to him?" Fat Gum said as he and Ryuko rounded the corner.

Aquatint sighed and turned back to continue sketching to which Nejire hummed and looked down at the notepad.

"You sketch a lot." Nejire said before she blinked. "Hey, isn't that…?" Nejire said as Aquatint rubbed at the back of his neck.

Aquatint held up the sketching he had been working on. Nejire blinked as she looked at the portrait of herself. Vibrant periwinkle blue hair framed her face. A giant smile pulling her lips apart as one of her hands was giving a peace sign to the viewer while the other hand fired a vortex under her using her quirk. The drawing looked life like enough for Nejire to almost think it was her.

"I hadn't properly thanked you for helping me get this interview." Aquatint said to which he could only hum. "I kept thinking of ways to thank you properly… Then I remembered you liked the sketches I made, so I wanted to make one for you. It wasn't easy since you keep moving… I'm sorry if it's creepy or something like that." Aquatint said before Nejire grabbed the drawing from him.

She looked it over with such interest. The sketch looked almost lifelike. It was clear that Aquatint had spent a good few hour trying to get it right.

"Did you spend all night on this?" Nejire questioned as she traced a finger over one of the spirals of her hair.

"Not all night…" Aquatint said before yawning. "Few… Maybe an hour past midnight. I couldn't sleep that well, I'm so nervous about working for a Pro Hero. Their the lifeline for the city, I don't understand how your not freaking out working for one." Aquatint said as Nejire hummed.

"So, what pencils did you use, how much time did you spend coloring my eyes, can you do more?" Nejire asked to which Aquatint sighed and shook his head with amusement.

(With Fat Gum and Ryuko)

"A quirk that's based around drawings?" Fat Gum questioned to which he got a nod. "I don't know, Ryuko. What makes you think I can help train him?" Fat Gum asked as the dragon hero raised an eyebrow once more.

"Because both of your quirks are based around versality." Ryuko said to which Fat Gum hummed. "I know you said you already made a decision yesterday…. I've not seen someone with a quirk that interesting, besides? He's going to get himself killed out on the battlefield sooner or later. He'll get into a fight that he cannot handle. I don't want another dead hero, not after…" Ryuko said as Fat Gum nodded and looked around.

Neither Pro Hero had to say anything. Every Pro Hero in the city had their own opinion on All Might's fate. Aquatint wouldn't be the one to take his place, but Ryuko could tell that the former number 1 hero had struck a chord with him.

"You know I have more then 1 trainee working under me at the moment…." Fat Gum said to which Ryuko nodded as she paused and started to look around.

"I'm not asking you to focus all your attention on only him at the moment." Ryuko stated and frowned. "But see how powerful his quirk is. That much raw talent can be dangerous." Ryuko stated as she hummed and then turned to look at the duo.

"I have another group coming at the moment." Fat Gum said and rubbed at his chin. "I'll talk with him tonight." Fat Gum said while Ryuko nodded as she looked to the duo with interest.

"Your apprentice and him are pretty close, aren't they?" Fat Gum questioned while Nejire continued speaking up at the moment.

"What kinda stencils did you use? Did you trace my eyes from scratch? How did you make my hair float like that?" Nejire questioned, driving Aquatint back as he hummed and rubbed at his neck the entire time.

"Uh… How many questions about this do you have, Nejire?" Aquatint asked, curious more about how many questions she had at the moment. "Seriously, I cant answer every question you give me." Aquatint said, casting a gaze towards where the heroes were.

"Aquatint's abilities interest her like her as much as they do me." Ryuko said while holding up her phone. "But with the rise of villains? It's only a matter of time before they hunt him down and kill him." Ryuko said while dusting off her arms and legs.

"He's a pro hero." Fat Gum put in to which Ryuko nodded and then turned to look to the side.

"So are we, we have training…. He doesn't." Ryuko pointed out as she crossed her arms and then hummed. "You think nobody is going to kill him sooner or later? A quirk which brings drawings to life? All it's limited by is the imagination." Ryuko stated and let out a sigh.

The future of Pro Heroes would be different without All Might, but there was nothing she or the others could do. Many thoughts there would be a contest to surpass him. Ryuko didn't care to, the safety of the people came before anyone else… Before anything else.

"I'll see if he has any potential." Fat Gum stated and slowly moved to the side. "But I'm not going to go easy on him…. If he wants to work? He's going to have to put in the effort to try and improve himself. There's no shortcuts in the road." Fat Gum pointed out as he and Ryuko looked at the duo with interest.

"Please stop asking so many questions!" Aquatint stated and cracked his fingers with interest. "I can only answer so many at once." Aquatint put in as he cracked his fingers, personally curious about what would come next.

Nejire dropped the questions at the moment, more interested in the photo that he had drawn. It was very interesting the more she looked at it. Despite how she usually was? Nejire could tell that Aquatint had put a lot of effort into it at the moment.

She hummed and smiled before looking to the side, which made Aquatint could only ponder what happened next.

He stood as professionally as possible. The future of Pro Heroes involved him, but he had to prove that he was worthy of being part of that future when it came down to it.

"Aquatint, is it?" Fat Gum asked which made the hero perk up.

"Yes, sir!" Aquatint said while he cracked his fingers. "Sorry, I'm trying to think about what to say…" Aquatint said and rubbed at his neck with interest.

"Don't try to show me how skilled you are at being a hero." Fat Gum put in which got him to nod as he turned to look to the side. "I've heard a lot about you, but you haven't shown me why you should be working under my wing." Fat gum stated as Aquatint hummed.

"I'll show dedication to anything that helps me serve the people." Aquatint hummed and then turned to look to the side. "I'll make sure that every hurdle you expect me to try and clear is clear." Aquatint said before facepalming at how stupid he sounded once more as he cracked his neck.

Fat Gum said nothing, more amused then mad at anything had been said at the time. There was room for improvement with Aquatint, but if he was a pro hero? Then surely, he had no problem clearing the hurdles put in his way.

The enthusiasm that he showed helped prove he was rather up to the task at the moment.

Nejire only smiled once more, curious about what would happen to her friend in the upcoming days to come once more.
