Me: Another day for this new chapter! And today's guest is none other than Natsumi Hatsume!
Natsumi: Good day and another day to create new equipment! Thanks for making me today's chapter's guest.
Me: Well, I already put your daughter here so, here we are, her mother standing in front of the readers to put up this new chapter.
Natsumi: Maybe we should be quick about it, I have orders to create and try them.
Me: Sure, so let's start with how do you think of the MC of this story?
Natsumi: You mean the future hero? Well, he is a great kid and hopefully is close enough with my daughter so I'm guessing I can let them be alone one of these days.
Me: Well, bad news on that, she's going to get quite a fight if she is going to win his heart so let's say you should start with the mother/daughter conversation.
Natsumi: (nod x2) Maybe I should do that.
Me: One last thing you want to say to the readers?
Natsumi: (shrug) Sure, why not. (Look at the readers) Press 'Favorite' and 'Follow' to keep up posted on oncoming chapters! And try to understand that the author is not great with his English grammar so please, have mercy on him. (Mock tone)
Me: (irritated) Alright, enough. (Look over his shoulder) Enjoy it…
CHAPTER 7
Friend among Enemies
(Dagobah Municipal Beach Park – Afternoon)
"UUUUUGH!" Izuku grunted pulling hard the rope that was tied around the fridge, which over it there were three boxes of scraps and Toshinori sitting over it in his hero form.
"You can do it Young Midoriya! We still have more to take on!" All Might cheered.
"Yagi-san, if you are sitting lazily over the fridge with three other boxes. How do you think that I would do it easily when I just unlocked [One for All] four days ago? Don't you weigh 274 kilos?" He asked sweat trailing down from his head.
"Don't you worry, Young Midoriya, I lost some pounds so I'm only 255, like my figure?" He flexed his muscles proudly. "In any other case, this will continue to improve your metabolism and to hold much better [One for All] so, basically, is a win-win solution."
"You think?" He asked as he took one last step to reach over the streets.
Toshinori deflated his hero form. "Yes, this is one of the principles that [One for All] takes on which gradually makes you stronger. You wouldn't want to say that all this effort is for nothing, right?"
"No, no, no!" He shook his head nervously. "I am used to taking this type of challenge before; it just that thinking back, if I didn't have this strength I wouldn't be at what I am today."
"Well, things could happen differently. Maybe you still would be my successor even though you weren't trained." Toshinori said with a smile. Which speaking of the devil, the devil came just in time.
"Oi, Izu!" An unfamiliar voice of Toshinori made him flinch as Izuku looked at the source of the voice with a bright smile.
"Oh, Jukkun!"
Junpei walked down the beach to reunite with his friend.
"Hey, dude, what are you doing here?" He then looked at Toshinori with a raised eyebrow. "And who is he?"
"A-Ah… h-he's… um…" Izuku stuttered which Junpei put a serious expression but internally was chuckling at the same Izuku he grew up with.
"I'm Toshinori Yagi, and I'm training him for the Entrance Exam of U.A." He stated raising his hand for a handshake. "You must be what he tells me about 'Jukkun'."
Junpei blew the air from his nose with a smirk returning the handshake. "Yeah, the one and only; I am Junpei Takahashi if that's what you're asking."
"So Young Takahashi, what brings you here?" Toshinori asked which Izuku calmed down and listened carefully.
"Yeah, the person who makes me support items didn't have enough materials for something I requested. So I came here and there to look for something that could replace them, and here I am looking at the treasure of an engineer."
"Did they ask you what do they need?"
"Hm, not really but if you see something that looks usable for something mechanical and that thing, I would be appreciated."
Toshinori nodded. "I'll keep in mind in that, Young Takahashi."
"Great, I'll come back here to retrieve them when you gather them at the end of the week or a day, so just keep in mind to not destroying them once gathered." Junpei turned back and started to walk away. "I'll tell Grandmaster Arata that you're training for your Entrance Exam."
"Okay, thanks a lot Jukkun!" Izuku waved his arm as Junpei did the same without looking at them.
Once Junpei disappeared from their sight, Toshinori spoke. "Your friend is somehow interesting if I'm being honest. But why does he require support equipment, Young Midoriya?"
"Well… let's just say that Jukkun is too strong and somehow breaks things if he isn't careful." Izuku recalled the time Junpei first got it his second Quirk; he accidentally sent students of their dojo to the hospital. "So he uses those support equipment to suppress most of his strength."
"Hmm, that's a dangerous Quirk but I'm happy for him if he knows his own danger," Toshinori recalled back in the alley what occurred with the sludge villain. But still, he shivered at the thought if he were to be his opponent. He'll have to work harder to make his successor much stronger than his friend is if anything happens.
"But, Yagi-san…" Izuku called which Toshinori looked at him in wonder. "If there is one thing that I can describe him is… um…"
"What is it Young Midoriya?" He tilted his head in confusion.
"You could say that he's a battle junkie…" He laughed nervously.
Taken back what his successor stated, he had to ask. "And why is your friend like a battle junkie if I may ask?"
"You wouldn't know but when Jukkun spar against a veteran student, he gets… excited to fight them." Izuku trailed trying to find the word he could describe his friend.
"Guess… I'll see him in ten months…" Toshinori sweatdropped at his successor's statement.
(With Junpei)
Junpei continued walking away from the beach back to Hatsume's warehouse thinking about telling her about the place.
He didn't know much about which scraps would be useful for her. Sure, he knew from his past life how to wield weapons; especially swords, firearms, knives, brass knuckles, even explosives, and poison if he ever needed to be stealthy which he didn't think he would be using them much since he is going to be a hero. Though, he did specialize in them before coming to this world so he could at least prepare antidotes in case he or others would receive a poisoned attack.
Walking alone through the streets, he suddenly hears a sob with his well-trained ears. Looking for the source of the cry, he couldn't get the feeling that somehow this is going to be something big which he tended to think about it in his past life and present.
He reached one of the alleys in the Musufasu market street and widened his eyes when he saw the person he least expected it…
Himiko Toga
Her pale hair, dirty ash-blonde without her two messy buns, numerous wild strands sticking out at all angles from their centers and where they're fastened, a straight fringe and two chin-length side bangs to frame her face was hardly the give away from her perspective.
She was wearing the same outfit she wore during her backstory and later changes it to what she would wear in the future so most of it still is in use. Though, Junpei wondered if she at least has enough clothes to wear instead of her seifuku (Japanese School Uniform).
She was hugging her legs into a fetal position, sobbing quietly on her arms as if she was crying her heart out.
"Are you okay?" Junpei asked which got her to flinch and raise her head looking at him with her teary eyes.
"Ah, sorry… I didn't know you were there." Himiko muttered in a saddened tone, trying to wipe her tears.
"Nah, it's alright but I'm asking you if you're okay," Junpei repeated which got nothing on her answer.
Junpei sighed internally, walked straight to her and sat next to her on the ground.
"What are you…?"
"Are you okay?" Junpei asked for the third time now that he got her attention.
"I… I'm… fine… kind of…" Himiko muttered avoiding eye contact.
"I don't see a 'fine' in you. What's wrong? I'm not kind of guy you would expect but I'm a good listener." Junpei commented which Himiko looked at him in wonder.
"I… I got in a fight with my family…" She answered. "It's just that I liked a guy in my school named Saito and somehow… things went underground."
Junpei recalled that from Himiko's past, her parents would always tell her to be 'normal' because of her love for blood when she brought a dead, bloodied bird and tell them if it was 'pretty'. Then her parents did manage to 'normalize' her at some point but didn't go well when she fell in love with a guy and used a box cutter and sucked his blood if he recalled the guy managed to survive but with a horrible case of PTSD with sharp utilities.
She gets most of her attitude of blood because of her Quirk: [Transform] and without it, she can't use it properly. And just because she was 'caged' into becoming 'normal' she was freed from all those people and went into hiding.
From the stories, he thought that Himiko was a kind of crazy, bloodthirsty girl that loved killing. But in front of her, he saw a fragile and caged girl that didn't have much of her opinions because of her lust in blood.
"Do you want to explain to me what's wrong?" Junpei asked.
Himiko pondered a few seconds, looking aimlessly at the concrete wall of the opposite side before she answered.
"I have a… love for blood, but only in cute things." She confessed. "It's just that I know that my tendency of loving blood is unhealthy but what I can do? I can't return to my parents and pretend that everything I have done is okay. It's just stupid! I just wanted my parents to understand how I feel."
"You know, I can't understand what is wrong with that. Although you hurt somebody and it was unintentional? Dunno; the thing is you can't view your world as normal but at least put a limiter of what you are doing. Others people can't view your world as what you see, so try to minimize your desire and be happy."
Himiko looked down with teary eyes pondering at her new visitor's words.
"I… It may be difficult but… I'll try." Himiko said wiping her tears.
"Good." Junpei smiled viewing at new Himiko which he didn't know existed. "You know that sometimes people view some Quirks villainous just because they look evil?"
Himiko nodded. "Yeah, mine is like one of them if you think about it."
"You know," He tapped one of his horns with his finger. "These horns weren't here when I first got my Quirk, I got it much later."
Himiko noticed the tiny horn popping on his head.
"My parents named my Quirk [Demon] yet I feel stupid that they came up with it, they could at least put more effort in it." Junpei chuckled. "But hey, I ain't bothered by it even if others look at me strangely."
"You think?" Himiko tilted her head in confusion.
"Yeah, because nobody can tell me that I'm bad if I don't do anything bad." He reasoned, later his expression changing to a saddening one. "But at the same time, I'm afraid… afraid that one day somebody will die if I'm not doing my best to protect."
'I'll have to keep trying even if I die, just as I did before. For them.' He thought, clenching hard his fists recalling those miserable memories.
(A/N: For those impatient readers, there is going to happen something in the future.)
Himiko widened her eyes listening carefully at her new visitor's words. She may have given up the idea of working hard to become a hero. She did want to be but because of her unhealthy habits, she couldn't do anything right to make herself right.
But in front of him, she feels calm, protected as if everything is going to be okay. Something that she didn't feel in a long time and paying attention to that tingling feeling, she got the feeling it was like when she felt it with Saito.
Love
But it was kind of different love she felt, it was like that she loves him as it is but at the same time, she can trust him at all.
"So… what's your name?" Himiko asked.
"My name? I'm Junpei Takahashi, nice to meet you, and you are?"
"Himiko. Himiko Toga."
Junpei smiled brightly at her. "So, you wanna hang out?" He thought of the idea of befriending her for something he had now planned. If it worked, he could at least somebody trustworthy of his plan.
Her eyes widened for a second. "Y-You mean like…" She fidgeted her fingers.
"Like what?" He raised his eyebrow.
"Like…" She wanted to say 'date' but she couldn't bring herself to say it because of her lack of confidence. "Like friends…?"
"Sure!" He smiled at her.
So for the remaining hours of the day, they went out eating as Junpei ended up paying most of it since was a gentleman from before and now. And as for dessert, Himiko asked for a strawberry crepe as Junpei simply got two smoothies; one being Kiwi-Strawberry flavor and Black Raspberry-Vanilla flavor.
"You sure eat a lot, Takahashi." Himiko pointed out munching on her crepe.
"Well, I ain't surprised anymore that I got a big appetite. It's just that using most of my strengths makes me hungry so I eat to get my fill of the day." He chuckled. "I know it's stupid but one day I'll try to stop that habit and get better."
Himiko let a smile spread her lips. "Then I'll cheer for you, Takahashi."
"Thanks!" He smiled at her before firmly looking at her. "Tell me Toga-chan, when you said that you ran away from your parents who are you living with?"
"I… I'm living with a granny that knew me before." She admitted. "She knows me for a long time so she kind of let me stay with her."
"She must be a great-grandma to let you stay, right Toga-chan?"
"Yeah," She nodded with a smile.
"Well, let's end for today. I'll see you another day, Toga-chan." He took out his cellphone. "By the way, here's my contact number if you wish to chat with me."
"Y-Yeah, that would be okay." Himiko nodded before exchanging their contacts.
"So I'll see you next time Toga."
Himiko answered with an "hn" and went to her separate way grasping closely her new friend's or love interest's contact number.
On its way to Hatsume's warehouse, he suddenly felt his cellphone vibrate.
-"Did you find it?"- It was Mei who sent the message.
It hadn't been one day and she already sends him a message. Yet, he couldn't but let a laugh escape his lips and started writing.
-"Yeah, I did. It's in the Dagobah Municipal Beach Park. I was on my way to you."- He wrote back.
-"Ah, okay. See you later then!"-
Once Junpei arrived at the Hatsume's warehouse, Junpei explained that the place he found at piles of junks and electronics which Mei could use and that he told her that one of his friends was there training so he had somebody to gather them and he would get them at each end of the week.
Mei gave him a passionate hug and thanked him for helping her, given that she would continue working on her babies, which wasn't important if Natsumi was watching them from afar with a small smile.
(7 Months Later)
Seven months passed since Junpei's encounter with Himiko. He had met her sometimes between his time in training, gathering Mei's scraps for her babies, brainstorming some ideas of it which Junpei ended up sometimes helping her with carrying or building something with her in case Mei occurred with heavy equipment, and hanging out with Izuku; also including studying during his last year of senior in Aldera Junior High School.
He tried his best to normalize as much as possible to lessen her desire for blood.
But he had to think he has four months left before the Entrance Exam of U.A. and plan something he had come up since first meeting her.
'I hope this works or else either she or anybody else would be harmed.'
Junpei was at the moment the same café he offered her to eat with when he found Himiko in that alley. Himiko wasn't there at the moment but she would be since he had called her to meet with him.
He didn't like the idea but he needed to do it.
"Hey, Jun-kun!" Himiko called entering the café.
"Himiko-chan, sorry if I called you here since you were busy." He apologized.
"No worries, granny let me go to meet my friend so she didn't say much." She dismissed. "So, why did you call me?"
He knew the idea he was planning was dangerous yet it has to work or else which he had seen and read in his previous life could be more dangerous for the people and heroes alike. He had done this kind of thing before, such as planning for an attack, stealth or defending a position, but having the knowledge at hand and thinking of a way without resulting various mistakes isn't quite simple with someone as All for One and his subordinates.
But she is the only way it could work at the moment while he thinks more thoroughly during his stay in U.A. but it is also dangerous for her for whatever he was thinking.
"Jun-kun, is something wrong?" She asked, worried since the silence and lack of an answer was concerned.
Again, the silence had made her more worried. She had known him for the past months and she is glad that he is her friend and/or love interest, but seeing him in this state it doesn't make her stay at ease. She knows something is killing him inside but that is only if he wants to talk about it.
She didn't want to see him like that so she sat down in front of him and placed both hands onto him. "You can tell me what's wrong." She assured him.
Junpei looked at her reassuring eyes and sighed in trying to calm himself down.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm… okay… or maybe trying…" He muttered before nodding and looking at her. "It is difficult for me to say it Himiko-chan but I need your help on something I've planned. But I should tell you, that it is going to be dangerous so that's why I'm hesitating about telling you."
She squeezed his hands in reassurance and looked determined.
"I trust you, Jun-kun. If not for you, I could have been another person. On which, I could regret it in my entire life. You saved me when others ignored me, you believed in my when others thought of me as a monster, you tried to cheer me when I was about to let my despair consume me and turn into what people told me that I was, and most of all, you are the reason that I'm different instead of a murderer. I'm putting all my faith and trust in you Jun-kun." She stated firmly and conviction in her voice.
He looked surprised at her. It was quite different than this Himiko Toga had changed much from then because of him but he shouldn't have been since Izuku had the same change as her. He let a smile form on his face and nodded.
"Yeah, thanks for the morale Himiko-chan." He breathed in and out once again before focusing. "So as I was saying, it is going to be hard and I won't have resentment if you don't want to be part of it." He looked again at her. "Though, for your determination, you'll put anything I'll ask."
His only answer was a nod.
"As you know, society is centered by heroes and villains in general, right?" Another nod for her indicated her answer. "So what do you think would happen if I say someone more powerful escalates the danger of the civilians?"
"I mean, yeah, there had been some strong villains that were rendered dangerous as various heroes had to join forces to defeat them." Then a realization occurred to her. "You mean to tell me that there are some villains that are in hiding and preparing!" She hissed/whispered.
"Yeah, that was what I thought too!" He nodded. "But what I'm suggesting is that if I have someone infiltrating among their ranks, that person could give us the information for that the people don't fall in danger."
"Then the person you're looking for…" She started.
"…Is you." He finished crossing his arms.
Himiko pondered his wonders in thoughtful as she leaned back on her seat thinking what elapsed these few minutes. For one part, she didn't want to become a spy most less a villain but her friend was telling the truth, there has to be someone dangerous to stay behind the scenes and do many evil deeds as his/her subordinates do his/her biddings.
With a sigh, she cupped her chin with both hands and her elbows resting on the table. "Alright, Jun-kun, I'll do what I can."
"Thank you Himiko-chan. If by the end of the danger, I'll take responsibility for your actions." He promised.
"So…" She sat straight and looked at him. "What's the plan?"
Junpei unfolded his arms and started telling her what was going to be needed for the plan could work.
(Dagobah Municipal Beach Park – With Izuku)
It has passed seven months since he first met Toshinori in the streets and became his successor. He had first given his training by cleaning the entire beach in his 'American Dream Plan' and also received All Might's mysterious Quirk, [One for All].
He felt the new surge of power during the first weeks of his training and given his past training with Grandmaster Arata, he had been doing various katas to concentrate on his new powers and rigorously cleaning the beach with All Might next to him.
By the way, he also put apart the scrap Jukkun had asked him to gather at the end of the week so he had to be careful in separating them from usable and garbage.
It took him six months but he finally cleaned the entire beach of the junk it inhabited, and after getting a good view of the sky he let a war cry of victory.
"Oh my... Oh my... GOODNESS!" Izuku turned around hearing his predecessor's voice after turning into his hero form.
Exhausted, he stumbled back almost falling before All Might caught him.
"Yagi-san… I finally… did it…" He said between panting.
"So it seems, Young Midoriya. You had finished cleaning this place for 7 months. Teenagers are amazing!" All Might helped him to stand up and patted his back proudly. "I'm proud that you could succeed in this training but don't let the remaining three months to get rusty. You are still a golden egg trying to hold on a new power so you should continue training and come up with something with [One for All], Young Midoriya."
"Yes, Yagi-san." He nodded.
All Might deflated into Toshinori Yagi and looked at his successor proudly. "I'm happy that you have succeeded me, Young Midoriya. I see brightly your future."
"Yagi-san…" Izuku wiped his eyes with his forearm before he could cry.
Toshinori smiled and looked at the sky. "This, Young Midoriya, is your blood, sweat, and determination that I think – no – I know that you are going to be far greater than I was. So you must always remember that your heart cannot be changed for anything at all."
"Yes, Yagi-san." He answered having tears on his eyes.
Toshinori knew that his successor will make the tomorrow even brighter, one that he finally knew what his previous teacher looked for.
(Two Weeks Later – With Junpei)
Two weeks passed since he had talked with Himiko, he continued chatting with her of course but through their cellphones so that they can't connect them if she ever is discovered.
But at the moment, he was at home playing with Himari since it was a weekend he had time to spare. Grandmaster Arata had ordered every student to take the weekend off since he had his family come for a weekend alone so for today, Junpei had nothing to do at all.
"So boring~" He groaned in boredom sitting on the sofa with Himari watching cartoons on the TV.
"Nii-chan, are you bored to play with Himari?" Himari asked in a hurt manner.
He bolted up from his seat and looked at his little sister. "Of course not, Himari-chan! But apart from staying at home, I don't think anything to do would bring some fun today."
"Maybe you should bake something to pass the time?" Fumiko asked getting out of her room with her cellphone.
"I don't know." He rubbed the back of his head before he felt a little tug on his leg. "It's been a while since I last baked something."
"Nii-chan, can you make what I love to eat?" Himari asked with her destructive puppy eyes.
"Umm…" He tried to resist her little sister's puppy eyes but in the end, he had to comply. "Fine…"
Junpei walked toward the kitchen and unknown to him, Fumiko and Himari gave each other a thumb up.
The reason they ask him to bake them something is that a year ago Junpei wanted something sweet to eat but the store they always go was closed because of a fight between heroes and villains occurred so the place was being reconstructed.
Himari made a fit because she wished to eat sweets so in the contrast that Junpei didn't want to look at her crying he made some quick snacks that resulted in the female members of the family asking him for more. In the end, every time they wished to eat something sweet they asked Junpei to bake or cook for something delicious.
Junpei had the regret that in his past life's experience with sweets had become a curse in his household.
After an hour of preparing the ingredients, making and baking them, Junpei had come out of the kitchen wearing oven-mitts and an apron with his creation.
"Alright ladies, I brought today's snack: chocolate chips cookies and to combine them, vanilla and lemon cream to dip." He also brought out two cups of milk that were levitating next to him.
"Yay!" Himari cheered before being seated in the dining room.
"You're the best Junpei," Fumiko added sitting next to Himari before they started eating.
Junpei sighed watching his two sisters gobble the snacks as if it was going to be their last meal; it is amusing thinking that two women are gaining his favor to make them some sweets… just as before.
"I made too much so I'll talk some to Aunt Inko and Aunt Mitsuki." He put the necessary amount in two Tupperware and grabbed his jacket before leaving the house. "Don't eat everything, at least leave some for mom and dad you two.
The only thing he received for an answer was two nods and they continued eating.
Sighing, he held the Tupperware and as soon as he left the house, he teleported first to Bakugo's household.
'Not much has changed…' He looked around if anyone noticed him appeared out of nowhere and since there wasn't anybody, he entered into the residence.
Pressing the doorbell, he waited patiently before someone opened the doors.
"Oh, Junpei-kun." Mitsuki smiled. "How have you been? What brings you here?"
"Hello Aunt Mitsuki, I just came here to bring you these sweets I prepared. Somehow my sisters have planned this to make me bake some snacks. And since I made too much, I brought some to you and for Uncle Masaru and Kacchan."
"That's nice of you Junpei-kun, you wanna come in?" She offered.
"No thanks, Aunt Mitsuki. I need to bring the other to Aunt Inko and Izuku." He raised the other Tupperware for her to notice.
"Ah, I see. Next time, you should bring your family so we can have dinner one of these days."
"Sure, I'll tell mom and dad if they have time on their schedules." He nodded.
Leaving the Bakugo's household, he teleported in front of the Midoriya's apartment door and knocked on the door.
"Aunt Inko? Izuku? Is anybody here?" He called out.
Junpei heard someone approach the door and once opened
"Ah, Jukkun!" Izuku said happily. "What brings you here?"
"Hey Izu, I made too many snacks for my sisters so I came here to bring you some." He handed the Tupperware.
"Wah, thanks! You do great snacks!" He complimented.
"Izuku, honey, who's at the door?" Inko called from inside.
"Ah! It's just Jukkun! He brought some snacks for us!" Izuku answered.
"That's nice of him," Inko said. "Junpei-kun, would you wish to enter and have some tea with it?"
"No thanks, Aunt Inko! I have to get home to check if both of my sisters haven't finished all the snacks before mom and dad return!"
"Okay, maybe next time."
Looking now at his green-haired friend, he smirked. "I'll see you another day." With that, he teleported away.
"…I guess some things I have to get used to…" Izuku muttered before closing the doors of his residence.
(A/N: Just to know, Izuku and Katsuki already know of his teleportation skill since the beginning since both Inko and Mitsuki, since they were kids, had put Junpei to be responsible if they are needed earlier. Only they know of his teleportation skill.)
Being now in front of his house, he entered lazily since teleporting gives him mild headaches tried to get some refreshments only to see both of his sisters laying down with their bulging stomachs with glee and peaceful smiles.
"It was too delish~," Himari said having a drool hanging on her smiling mouth.
"You said it Imouto~ Junpei's cookies are the best!" Fumiko added also with drool hanging on her smiling mouth.
And as for the remaining cookies, it hadn't even reached half of what he prepared since maybe he had baked a little too much for them to eat it all.
'Guess now I'll have to take some for the Hatsume family too.' He sighed before wrapping the snacks into another bag and getting ready to go out again.
(Creating is for Craziness – Hatsume's Workplace)
"Hatsume-san! Mei! I brought some beverage for your work!" Junpei called knocking their doors.
"It's open!" Mei's voice came from inside.
Opening the door with his snacks on hand, he looked around if any of the mechanic/engineer mother-daughter duos were inside.
"Mei? Are you somewhere working on something as always?" He asked with a matter-of-fact tone. "And where is your mom?"
"Over here!" Mei shouted from her workplace waving her arm to be noticed. "Mom went to get something for her projects; she's not going to return until evening."
"Okay, so, what are you doing now?" Junpei asked putting the snacks next to her.
"Well, you know that there are three months left before the Entrance Exam, right?" Mei asked which Junpei nodded. "So what I'm doing now is make a project to show them that I'm capable to be part of U.A."
Smiling at his friend, he sat down bringing a chair next to Mei. "That's great! You're the greatest inventor that U.A. wouldn't want to miss it!"
"Aw shucks, you don't have to compliment me when I know how grand I am." She responded with a blush.
Being off-topic at the moment, Junpei asked. "So what are you going to do for the Entrance Exam? I know that each department differs from others." He mused.
"Well… I was going to upgrade my anti-gravity boots and show them that." She answered.
"Come on Mei-chan, you're smart enough to show some anti-gravitational boots and that." He said with a raised eyebrow. "You need more motivation to create much bigger, you know."
"So what does my little friend's brain can think of? Because of you, most of our inventions come from your creative ideas!" She opened up the cookies box and started eating. "Hm, yummy."
"Well…" He leaned back staring at the roof with his arms crossed. "There are many ways to create but the first thing I can come up is something to help heroes in their fight. Then when some disaster occurs and mostly I can think is fire."
"Hmm…" Mei hummed thoughtfully before an idea popped up. "I got it! I can make some projectile to put off fire instantly! Or maybe something that can boost up the heroes' strengths for a limited time! Or maybe, god, some many ideas and so little time!" She said taking another cookie.
"Slow down Mei, you'll figure something out."
"You're right, you're right, I should do it slowly…" She started making to wide her grin and a special glint forming on her eyes. "Or…"
"Or… what?" Junpei wondered slowly before suddenly recognized that glint on her eyes and grin. "No, Mei, I don't want to do what you're thinking."
"Come on, Junpei-kun! Pleeeeeeaaseee~" Mei used her yellowish round eyes on him, the destructive puppy eyes that could over anyone so Junpei looked the other way.
"Don't you remember the last time I worked as your assistant?! Or what people would say guinea pigs?!" He said aloud trying to muster his blush to form.
"Please, Junpei-kun!" She leaned closer pressing her chest on him. "You wouldn't want to disappoint a girl would you now?"
"Don't you dare use sex appeal on me Mei-chan, I'm not doing it!" He stated starting to feel his blood rush to his head and between his legs.
"Aw, I am not doing what you're thinking Junpei-kun. I'm just asking as a friend for help, nothing more and nothing less." She erotically let her finger dance on his chest. "If you're thinking what you thought, then you're a little pervert ain'tcha?"
"Mei-chan, please…" He was losing the battle here; he realized that he couldn't win against women at all so he let a defeated sigh and complied. "Fine, I hope that I don't regret it later."
"Yay! You're the best!" Her normal personality returned, holding his hand and leading to where she would test her new babies on him.
"I'm starting to regret it…" He muttered before being succumbed to what Mei had prepared for him.

OMAKE – 'What If' – Himiko-chan can also be a Hero
In their mutual place, Junpei sat in front of Himiko with eight months before the Entrance Exam of U.A. took place.
"Himiko-chan." Junpei called.
"What is it?" She asked holding her burger before she opened her fanged mouth.
"What is your dream?" He asked out of nowhere surprising her.
"My dream?" She placed down her burger and started thinking. "Well, I first thought that I wanted to become a hero but everyone thought because of my Quirk that I was better off as a villain."
Again, he knew those kinds of people she talked about. Just because people with villainous-like Quirks or Quirkless were better to become a villain because they have more heroic-like or normal Quirks they think they are better than them.
"Riiight… Those are only idiots to think that they are better just because we look like monsters." He admitted thinking that his Quirk was also like villain-like.
"You think? But Jun-kun is nice and gentle so I think that you're going to be the greatest hero." She declared with a fanged smile.
"Thanks, Himiko-chan." He returned the smile. "But why forget your dream if you can also become one?"
"To tell the truth, I don't think that I'll be a good heroine."
"Nonsense!" He interrupted. "You know of the Blood Hero: Vlad King with his Quirk: [Blood Control]?"
Himiko nodded. "Of course I know him. He is the only hero I know that uses blood during combat and it's slightly like mine!"
"Wow… You talk to him like how my friend talks to All Might." He said recalling how Izuku mentions All Might with passion. "Yeah, I think that you can also be a hero. Don't let others speak your mind and be yourself in becoming what you wish for."
"You think so?"
"Yeah! So to begin your first path of heroism, I'm going to train you to become a hero Himiko-chan!"
"You'll do that, for me?" Himiko said being touched of his offer.
"We are friends Himiko-chan, and friends help each other from good and bad."
Himiko wiped her happy tears and looked at her friend with determined eyes. "Alright, let's do it!"
So for eight months, Junpei had trained her some combat skills. Himiko didn't whine or complain since her friend was the one who was helping to achieve her forgotten dream. She had given most of her time close combat training and mostly with short knives, Junpei had noticed she was good in agility and stealth which Junpei thought and made some training in those categories.
Now, after eight months of training, Junpei and Himiko were standing in front of U.A. front gate with Izuku next to them. Izuku had met them two months back when he was jogging and somehow encountered with them training.
Sure, Himiko was glad to meet another friend and encouraged her dream to become a hero so the three of them continued training until two months passed.
"Ready to show off?" Junpei asked both friends standing between them.
"Of course I am, Jun-kun!" Himiko smirked.
"Let's do it!" Izuku pumped up.
The three walked through the gates of the prestigious High School of U.A. to become the greatest heroes!
From onward is another story to tell about it.
I added a different Himiko here since you know, it's my fanfic, but I love Himiko as a maniacal character; but also because she needs a different path or second chance to the community.
