Sorry for the long delay of this chapter! It has been too long since I last posted a new chapter but since I'm working on FOUR different stories (I can't believe I couldn't finish one) and rewriting TWO stories, it has been hectic. Anyway, here's the new chapter of 'Reincarnated Hero' and giving you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2021!
-o-
Me: For today's guest we have the parents of my OC! Genkei Takahashi and Yui Suzuki!
Genkei: (flex muscles) Good day!
Yui: (polite bow) Hello.
Me: So as I said about my OC, Junpei, you two are also part of the story. How you two feel about it?
Genkei: I feel great having to represent as the father of your OC, author! It's not much as I think about it but I feel that I appear less and less further.
Yui: Yes. Please let my husband appear more in the story. That includes the rest of us.
Me: Alright, alright. I'll think about it, any last words to our readers before starting the chapter?
Genkei: Yes. Enjoy! Review! And follow the story!
Yui: The story will continue further with new ideas and scenes!
Me: Enjoy!
CHAPTER 17
Sports Festival Part II
(U.A. – Entrance Gate – Moments Ago)
Before the event could start, Inko Midoriya, Mitsuki, and Masaru Bakugo were gathered together at the entrance of the high school as they received an invitation from their common friends.
"It's really big." Inko said in awe as she gazed at the high school her son was going.
"You tell me." Mitsuki agreed. "It seems even bigger than the modeling building we go for some photo-shoot."
"Well, there is a reason why U.A. is the biggest school of heroes in Japan." Masaru added.
The three adults continued walking while watching various stands with many foods or gifts to be bought on. There were many people that came to see the future heroes that would be part of their society once three years pass, but for now, they are to see the hatchlings. There were some heroes among the people that were stationed as guards or partaking the moment to see their future sidekicks or so.
Just then, a blond heroine came to their vision. "Aunt Mitsuki, Uncle Masaru, you came!" The heroine, Mount Lady, came to greet them.
"Oh, Yu! It's been a while! We hadn't seen you much for the last five months!" Mitsuki greeted, giving her a 'happy' slap on her back which got her squirm in pain.
"I definitely didn't miss that..." Yu Takeyama grumbled in pain, rubbing her back before straightening it. "Anyway, sorry Auntie, I've been a little busy with work."
"If lazing around means anything to you apart from work I don't know what to think about you, Mount Lady." Shinji Nishiya, AKA Kamui Woods, said flatly just behind her with his arms crossed.
"Shut it, Kamui! You had no tact in front of my Auntie!" Yu snapped at the wood-hero.
A mischievous grin spread on Mitsuki as she nudged her niece. "Oh-hoh? Who's he, Yu-chan?"
"Nobody you should know!"
Shinji sighed while shaking his head before walking toward Masaru. "It's nice to meet you. I don't think I should tell who I am."
Masaru shook his head. "Oh no, no need Kamui Woods, we know enough that we don't need introductions. I'm Masaru Bakugo, as you see, Yu's Uncle."
"For some reason, I can see the resemblance." Shinji deadpanned looking at the aunt-niece relationship.
"Hahaha, we get a lot." Masaru laughed good-naturally.
"Well, we shouldn't barge with the civilians much since the U.A. had us volunteer to become guards for the event. It was nice meeting you two." Shinji said before turning back to his duties. "Anyway, Mount Lady, we resume our duties." And with that, he began walking away.
"Oi, wait for me!" Yu screeched before following the woodman.
The three adults watched the Bakugo's family's niece ran away from their sights. As much they shared a laugh in amusement of their encounter.
"It is nice to see Yu-chan all enthusiasm about this, ain't it Mitsuki?" Inko asked, slightly giggling in amusement.
"Haha, maybe." Mitsuki added.
"Well, as much as it is good to see our niece, I wonder, where are the Takahashi's?" Masaru wondered. "They gave us the invitation despite our refusal, and we don't seem to know where they are."
"I talked to Yui-chan about it, and she said that they were preparing for something." Inko supplied. "I wonder what it's making them take too long."
Just as they were about to look for the seat their good friends and heroes gave to them, a voice shouted at them. "Inko! Mitsuki! Masaru! We're over here!"
The three adults turned to see the family that invited them to watch their sons at the school they were assisting. Although they expected their arrival, they didn't expect them with their hero costumes, all except little Himari as she was wearing a yellow dress and black shoes.
Genkei Takahashi wore his heroic costume as the Beast Hero: Savage. He wore an open tan-colored skinsuit with a leopard decal in dark orange color, showing his chest, with a fur cape over his shoulder, a black belt hanging with two small pouches, black combat boots, black fingerless leather gloves, and a lion-like hoodie obscuring his eyes and blue hair while leaving his nose and mouth open.
Yui Takahashi wore her heroic costume as the Magnet Hero: Attraction. She wore a red skintight suit with silver shoulder pads, armguards, a belt, and combat boots. As for the costume itself, she had a massive 'A' written on her chest but with a mixture of red and white as the color of a magnet.
Keiji Takahashi, the eldest son of the family, wore his hero costume as the Power Beast Hero: Beast Booster. His costume was an orange skintight suit that reached to his elbows and knees, wore grey gloves and boots with an orange 'BB' on his hands and chest, and wore a white domino mask that covered the upper side of his face.
Fumiko Takahashi, the eldest daughter of the family, wore her heroine costume as the Fox Hero: Kitsu. She wore her costume as a shrine maiden. Her dress shone in color white with red lines on her sleeves, her red knee-length skirt, underneath a black full-body suit that was the short length on her sleeves and knees, white socks, and sandals. She had red pigmentation make-up over her eyes and two others under her eyes, and she also had a ribbon with two bells attached to it.
"What are you all with the hero costume?" Mitsuki asked incredulously.
Genkei grinned. "Well, we're a family of heroes and since our youngest son is going to attend the Sports Festival. As such, we observe our family in our hero costumes. We did it since Keiji's time and even my parents did the same."
"Although my family wasn't, I still loved them having their time on visiting my Sports Festival." Yui added with a small smile.
"We shall give our support to Junpei!" Keiji roared, flexing his muscles in the air... before getting smacked down by Fumiko. "OUCH! What the hell are you doing?!"
"No need to be like that, oh dearest brother." She droned flatly. "We'll give him much support from us but don't expect to act like an idiot, dumbass."
"What you say?!" He growled as his Quirk started to emit from his body.
"Children, stop." Yui stated firmly, getting them to flinch and having placed her hands over the youngest daughter's ears. "No cursing in front of your sister, you won't like it if my dearest Himari starts to curse because of you two, you understand?"
"Yes, mom." They groaned in unison.
"Hahaha, it never gets boring without you, Yui!" Mitsuki chortled amusedly.
"Well, then..." Genkei droned out, trying to change the topic. "Let's get to our seats before the event starts."
With all in agreement, the three families entered the building and watch how their sons are going to put their names in history.
(U.A. – Inside the Stadium – Present Time)
"THE U.A. SPORTS FESTIVAL!" Hizashi Yamada AKA Present Mic bellowed at his microphone inside the MC Booth. "THE HUGE BATTLE WHERE FLEDGING HEROES SHARPEN THEIR SWORDS ONCE A YEAR! ANYWAY, THESE ARE THE GUYS, RIGHT? THE MIRACULOUS NEW STARS WHO OVERCAME ENEMY ATTACKS WITH THEIR HEARTS OF STEEL! HERO COURSE, CLASS 1-A, RIGHT?!"
The class members of Class A walked out of the hole, admiring the vast people they were being watched on as they cheered for them.
Izuku trembled in excitement while looking around the stadium. "There are so many people..." He breathed in awe.
"And there are more in their houses watching us." Junpei added with a grin.
"That's a way to burden with pressure, Jukkun." Izuku deadpanned.
"But it's true!" Junpei defended, shrugging. "Either get used to it or be a nerve-wracking bomb when they see you."
"Well, either way, it's awesome to have it now!" Akari grinned, enjoying the cheering.
'I did have these kinds of attention back in my previous life but it was much different.' Junpei thought while looking around. The usual group he was with were either nervous or neutral, as for the others, Katsuki was grinning madly at the thought that he would get this kind of attention if he ever got to be Number One. Shoto was indifferent as always. And the other classmates depended on their personalities and mood.
"It is amazing to be cheered by everyone." Ochako said in awe.
"Yes, I agree." Tenya agreed. "Will we be able to give our best performance being watched by so many people? This is also part of the training required to become a hero."
"Don't be a spoilsport, Iida, and enjoy it!" Akari smirked.
"Man, he's going overboard with that praise! I'm getting nervous!" Eijiro shivered nervously. "Aren't you, Bakugo?"
"No, I'm just getting more into it." Katsuki grinned.
"THEY HAVEN'T BEEN GETTING AS MUCH AIRTIME, BUT THIS CLASS IS ALSO FULL OF TALENT!" Hizashi continued his voice to the maximum. "HERO COURSE, CLASS 1-B!"
In another hole, the members of Class B emerged from it and showed their faces to the world. Junpei remembered the time when Itsuka told him that Class A and B would add two more seats, which he was part of it, and tried to look out for the two other students.
Before he could find them, Itsuka noticed him and waved at him which he returned back. Behind him, he didn't notice that Tsuyu had looked at Itsuka for a moment, and a tingling feeling coursed in her chest.
"NEXT UP, GENERAL STUDIES CLASS C, D, AND E!"
The General Studies Course students emerged from their respective holes as the usual group noticed Hitoshi among them.
"SUPPORT COURSE, CLASSES F, G, AND H ARE HERE, TOO!"
Junpei noticed Mei among the other students of the Course which she noticed him and waved at him brightly as he returned back. Junpei then noticed Mei talking to someone else next to her. It was a female classmate of hers. Junpei didn't recognize her from anywhere, maybe it's just a side character that was never mentioned.
Junpei noted that the girl next to her had long lavender-colored hair, pale skin, teal-colored eyes, wearing round glasses. She, obviously, was wearing the U.A. Physical Education outfit with her sleeves rolled up to her elbows.
'Well, Mei did make a friend from the looks of it.' Junpei thought with a smile. And yeah, she needed a friend apart from him so it's something you don't see every day.
"AND BUSINESS COURSE, CLASS I, J, AND K!"
There wasn't anybody he recognized or knew from those courses.
"ALL OF U.A.'S FIRST YEARS ARE HERE NOW!" Hizashi bellowed.
The students were gathered at the center of the stadium, and in front of them, a specific woman stood up wearing a dominatrix outfit. The dark purple-haired woman herself was Nemuri Kayama AKA Midnight with her Quirk: [Somnambulist].
"Time for the player's pledge!" Nemuri called up.
"What is Midnight-sensei wearing?" Eijiro wondered as a little blush formed on his face.
"That's an R-Rated Hero for you." Denki stated.
'That's a woman with many curves...' Junpei thought before sighing. 'I understand that she wears those clothes because of her Quirk, but eventually, she tears it off for her to use them. Anyway, those clothes are the only thing that stops her from expulsing her sleeping fumes. I can't even believe that she teaches us Modern Hero Art History. She looks like the ones who teach Sex Education.'
"Is it okay for her to be at a high school even though she's R-Rated?" Fumikage wondered with a sweatdrop.
"Beats me." Junpei shrugged, secretly enjoying the attire. Hey, he's an adult in a child's body. He has tastes for women too. "But her Quirk is useful for students such as, uh, with difficult to maintain order." He glanced at the side of his eyes said person.
CR-RAACK!
Nemuri cracked her whip on the ground getting all the students' attention. "Representing the students is... Junpei Takahashi from Class 1-A!"
'Oh yeah, it was supposed to be Katsuki to go up.' Junpei glanced at his blond childhood friend who was glaring at him for taking his spot. 'Sucks to be him.'
Junpei walked up to the platform standing in front of every student. Standing now in front of every student of U.A. and including the viewers present and on their houses, even villains; he gazed unsurprisingly calm for someone like him.
'I hope... that my speech reaches to the masses...'
-o-
"Man, I didn't think that I'll have to give a speech. Well, no matter..." Junpei sighed.
Himiko giggled seeing that her crush was cracking a joke despite the event. The grandma she was staying with was taking a nap in her room so she wasn't going to watch U.A.'s Sports Festival.
"Jukkun didn't change much." She giggled softly.
Himiko noticed that the students were snickering or chattering among themselves by reading their lips.
"To all fellow students and aspiring heroes... as I understand, I know that most of you hate us by now." He stated matter-of-factly, earning some sighs and groans from his classmates, and jeer or snarls from other classes. Himiko wondered why they hated them but then recalled about the USJ in the news. "And I do understand that most you people are jealous of us."
Himiko watched in amusement that Junpei didn't seem fazed about the shouting and yelling of the other students. He looked like he was staring blankly in the skies while ignoring the students. If they wished to be part of the Hero Course, they would have worked better. Just like her Junpei-kun did during the weeks she had seen him work out.
'Oh man, those abs were hard...' Himiko drooled mentally recalling those memories before shaking those dirty thoughts and refocusing on the TV.
Junpei then sharpened his eyes which surprised most people, even her. She hadn't seen those eyes ever so it was a first.
"But it doesn't mean that we are stepping ahead of you, each one of you has their strengths and weaknesses; it's just how you use them. Think of being creative, achieve those limits, and break them! But also, try to think why we're part of this event and this school. If not, why are you all here?"
Himiko recalled his words: There is no 'Evil' Quirks if the users aren't using them for evil. It's how they use them.
She got another warm feeling on her chest recalling those memories. Despite that she won't be able to see him daily; she knows that he has her back if needed.
"If you want to take our places in the Hero Course..." Junpei continued as Himiko noticed him raising a finger challengingly with a smirk. "Try and take it from us!"
Himiko giggled again seeing how the students got riled up and noticed a few of Class A groaning in distress. She'll do her best, but it wasn't the time yet to act.
-o-
In an unknown location, there was a man sitting alone in a dark room. Darkroom would be relatable as the only light would be the light of a TV in front of him. He as many others knew that U.A. would open the event despite its previous attention of USJ. Either way, it was good to see that the heroes were doing their jobs as needed.
He for one only decided to watch the event as it was useful to see the young heroes' Quirks. But the one who got his attention was the kid that stood in front of the others challengingly.
He loved how he riled up the others with mere words. He had the charisma, he had the voice, he looked like he was capable of fighting and if his disciple had told him about the kid then he knew he was capable of more.
"I think it is going to be interesting this year..." The man mused deeply as he rested his chin on his fist.
"But..." The student representative, Junpei Takahashi, continued in a solemn tone. "May everyone try their best and be more than simply heroes. We are students of the U.A. to become heroes so any defenseless or the weak feel safe from the evils! Being heroes is more than a job, it's to show the people that we can be there!"
The man smirked as the students began cheering changing their previous tone. "Yes... it is going to be very interesting."
-o-
Junpei could feel the different air the students of the other courses were emitting. Good, he knew that some of them would try their best on the next events.
He walked down the podium as Midnight practically loved the reaction and returned to the others.
"Nice speech, Takahashi! That was so manly!" Eijiro roared, fired up.
"'Nice speech'?! Takahashi just literally riled up the other courses! How can we do our best?!" Minoru shrieked incredulously.
"I must say, it was a splendid speech, Deputy Class Representative! I wouldn't have said it better!" Tenya said, adjusting his glasses.
"It was." Tsuyu agreed with a nod. She felt like she needed to do better at this Sports Festival.
"Great, now the extras better be a challenge!" Katsuki grinned in enthusiasm.
"I would hardly call that..." Denki deadpanned.
"Now, let's get started right away!" Nemuri called loudly getting the students' attention. "The first game is what you'd call a qualifier! Every year, many drink their tears here! Now, here is the fateful first game!"
Just behind her, a hologram began scrolling down. The students waited patiently as the hologram showed them 'OBSTACLE RACE'.
"This year, it's... THIS!"
"An obstacle course race." Izuku read aloud.
"All 11 classes will participate in this race. The course will be the outer circumference of this stadium, about four kilometers!" Nemuri announced. "Our school's selling point is freedom!"
"Too much freedom I guess..." Junpei deadpanned as they watched the dominatrix licking her lips sadistically. She was literally enjoying this.
"As long as you stay on the course, it doesn't matter what you do!" She bellowed, pointing at the starting point. "Now, take your places everyone!"
All courses began walking toward the starting point.
"YOU CAN DO IT, JUNPEI MY BOY!" A deep but loud voice bellowed out, earning the students' attention.
"Isn't that...?" Izuku said recognizing the voice.
"Yeah..." Junpei groaned; mentally embarrassed feeling for the first time this emotion.
The students looked at the source of the voice to see a wild hero using a lion rug over his head like a mask. There were also other familiar members of the hero family with a little girl with a yellow dress hopping around and cheering. They weren't seated among the bystanders but in a special booth.
"Isn't that the Beast Hero: Savage?!" One student of Class C said incredulously.
"Isn't he ranked in one of the 40 heroes in Japan?" Another from Class D added much incredulity.
"And he's that guy's father?!"
"Wait! There is also the Magnetic Hero: Attraction, the Power Beast Hero: Beast Booster, and the Fox Hero: Kitsu!" A student of Class 1-E bellowed incredulously. "Are you saying that they are his entire family?!"
"I'm surprised that your entire family is here, Takahashi." Akari mused. "Mine has worked to do and couldn't come but they promised to watch it on TV."
Junpei pinched the bridge of his nose. "Knowing my family, Dad had something to do with my brother and sister here... Mom is beginning to recover but seeing her with her costume is a first and she wouldn't let Himari anywhere alone."
"Wait a minute..." Izuku squinted his eyes noticing three people next to them before his eyes widened in realization. "Mom?! Even Aunt and Uncle?!"
"What?!" Katsuki bellowed incredulously noticing that that three friendly families were here and not at their respective homes. "What's my old hag's doing here?!"
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING OLD HAG, BRAT?!" The female version of Katsuki roared in anger. Her lugs' power wasn't something to scoff at.
"I can see where he comes from..." Hanta muttered to the other classmates. Eijiro, Denki, and Mina nodded in agreement.
CRAAACK!
Everyone's attention returned to the dominatrix. "Everyone to the starting point!" She ordered which everyone hasted to the place.
"Well, we're just getting started." Junpei grinned as everyone was positioned. He then turned to his two childhood friends. "Oi, you two!" Izuku and Katsuki turned to him as Junpei tapped his eyes with a cocky grin. "I'll try to let you show off and keep these away for the time being." He said cryptically for the others but to them, they knew specifically what he was talking about.
"I won't go down easily, Jukkun!" Izuku declared firmly.
"Don't get your pansies up, Shitty-Eyes! I'll beat with or without those, asshole!" Katsuki spat.
Everyone remained quiet as the countdown began...
"Three..."
"I'm ready..." Izuku breathed in and out.
"Two..."
Katsuki's hands began popping small explosions as a vicious smirk formed on his face.
"One..."
"START!" Nemuri roared as every student began running ahead.
-o-
"OKAY, HERE'S THE PLAY-BY-PLAY!" Hizashi roared in his commentary booth with the mummified Shota next to him. "ARE YOU READY TO DO THE COMMENTARY, MUMMY MAN?"
"You're the one who forced me to come." Said mummy-man grumbled.
Ignoring the grumbling, Hizashi continued. "LET'S GET STARTED RIGHT AWAY, MUMMY MAN. WHAT SHOULD WE PAY ATTENTION TO IN THE EARLY STAGES?"
Shota sighed at the forgotten grumbled and eyed at the students struggling to pass the hole. "This part right now."
-o-
As soon as Nemuri shouting the start, every student began running toward the hole. Except that, they got stuck in the middle, pushing around and trying to pass through.
Junpei had known what would happen so he remained on the back with his arms crossed and while many would wonder why he stayed back, some others understood the reason.
"Hey, hey!" "This is too narrow!" "Ouch!" "Hey, move!"
The shouting and screaming from the students was really expected as they couldn't move an inch from the place they were.
"Aren't you going in?"
Junpei turned to see the red-haired woman of his class standing and staring next to him. He stared blankly at back her.
"Aren't you?" He asked blankly. "With those wings of yours, I suppose it is going to be easy to pass through the blockage."
She shrugged indifferently. "Yeah, but I wanted to see what you'll do, Deputy Class Representative."
Junpei hummed quietly. He could summon one of the Zodiac Guardians but then again, he would show it to all people of the world, heroes and villains alike, and he wouldn't be able to use them as trump cards. No, he had the other choice.
Junpei smirked at Akari's way and his eyes shone in familiar purple colors. "Then, you'll be surprised."
His body began emitting a purple light as his feet let off the ground and flew over the students.
Akari looked dumbfounded for a moment before grinning. "That's more like it!" She sprung out her wings and chased from behind.
The students below began shouting at them but them being competitive, ignored them completely. Just as they were about to reach the exit, Junpei and Akari noticed that the ground began freezing.
'That must be Shoto/Todoroki, huh?' Junpei and Akari assumed as they got out of the path unharmed from the frozen ground.
Nevertheless, that didn't mean that the others were safe.
"Owww! What the-?" "It's freezing over! I can't move!" "So cold!" Outta the way! I can't get it off!"
While some were incapacitated by the ice, few others were smart enough to dodge the incoming ice. Those people were Yuga, Eijiro, Momo, Katsuki, Junpei, Akari, Fumikage, Mina, and Mashirao. Few of the Class B, Hitoshi, and Hatsume managed to dodge it too. Hitoshi began using his Quirk on a few other class members and use them as stepping stones. Hatsume decided to use her hover boots to leap off the ground and avoid the glacial ground.
"Hm, some people decided to play smart!" Junpei said as he exited the tunnel.
"Just about right!" Akari chortled following behind. "We need to keep going!"
Junpei noted that few of the class 1-A had difficulties with moving on the ice. Mina was skating around with her [Acid] on her shoes as surprisingly, Ochako was hopping around like walking on the moon.
'Nice way of using her Quirk.' Junpei grinned.
"More people outside of Class A were able to dodge that than I expected..." Shoto said blandly over his shoulder as he kept running ahead.
"I've outwitted you, Todoroki!" Shoto looked up to see that Minoru had somehow jumped highly with a victorious grin as he held two of his purple balls in both hands. "How pathetic! Take this! My special attack! GRA- KUGH!"
He didn't get to roar his attack as he got swatted aside by a metallic arm.
Izuku, being the caring one, stopped running. "Mineta-kun!"
Junpei and Akari shared a look before looking flatly at the grape-haired student. "That was lame..." They chorused flatly.
As for the reason, everyone else stopped and gasped, was because the next blockage had to be the faux villains that the students took in the Entrance Exam.
"These guys again, huh?" Akari said, totally unimpressed.
'I guess she had it easy but I can't recall her being one of the top 10. Maybe she couldn't find them. But then again, she has much mobility.' Junpei thought.
"Obstacles have shown up suddenly!" Hizashi bellowed out. "Starting with... the FIRST BARRIER! ROBO INFERNO!"
Four of the zero-point giant villains stood menacingly in front of the students.
"Aren't those the zero-point villains from the Entrance Exam?!" Denki exclaimed in aghast.
"Seriously?! The Hero Course had to fight those?!" One student that was from below class C shouted in shock.
"This is what they meant by obstacles?!"
"There are too many! I can't get through!"
Shoto looked annoyed at the giant faux villain in front of him. What Junpei assumed with the frown he was showing at and muttered. "So this is what they used in the General Entrance Exam?"
(A/N: Since recommended students were looked out from the pro-heroes from the school, they didn't have to assist with the Entrance Exam at all. Maybe that's why Shoto looked surprised at the faux villains. Maybe.)
"I wonder where they got the money for it." Momo said as she began thinking of something to deal with the faux villains.
The giant faux villain began moving to strike the students. Shoto remained calmly as he stepped his right foot on the ground.
"If they went through all this trouble, I wish they would've prepared something better. Since my stupid old man is watching." He said coldly as the ice began spreading to the giant faux villain.
The giant robot momentarily stopped on his track letting Shoto pass under its legs.
"HE STOPPED IT!" Everyone bellowed out in shock.
"Between their legs! We can get through!"
The students got out of their shock and began running under their legs. Unfortunately, Shoto looked over his shoulder.
"I wouldn't if I were you." He warned his tone without concern. The giant began trembling as the ice began defrosting, about to fall down.
"I should see that coming..." Junpei sighed as he quickly got off the air and leaped over the frozen robot. "40% Limit! You should be concerned that anyone could get HURT!" He kicked the frozen robot on its torso, creating a crate on it and falling down away from the students.
"ALRIGHT!" Eijiro roared in awe just as others looked in shock and awe, including Katsuki and Izuku.
Akari flew down just to Junpei's height as he continued running.
"So you did back in the Entrance Exam, huh?"
Junpei shrugged indifferently. "Eh, a little different from what I did but with the same idea of how to destroy them."
"Huh, that was amazing."
"TODOROKI FROM CLASS 1-A! INCLUDING TAKAHASHI ALSO FROM CLASS 1-A! HOW ELEGANT! AMAZING! THEY BOTH SYNCHRONIZED THEIR ATTACK ONTO ONE! IT'S, YOU KNOW, PRACTICALLY UNFAIR!" Hizashi gave a thumb-up to Shota.
"They both did as logical and strategically, though one just destroyed with his monstrous strength-like." Shota commented.
"AS EXPECTED OF SOMEONE WHO GOT IN THROUGH RECOMMENDATIONS AND PLACED 1ST PLACE!"
Shoto ran forward, having the lead, while Junpei and Akari followed him from behind. The others were having a hard time dealing with the faux villains.
"The first one through the first barrier is Shoto Todoroki from Class 1-A! Following by Junpei Takahashi and Akari Tatsuma also from Class 1-A! Your class is leading the race, Aizawa!" Hizashi exclaimed ignoring completely the commentaries Shota was making.
The top three students of class A ran forward, leaving the others behind dealing with the other giant faux villains. Either way, that didn't mean that someone was happy for the three runners ahead.
"Like I'd let you get ahead of me!" Katsuki roared as he flew over the robot with his ability to fly with his explosions.
Hanta followed behind using his tapes. "You seem like you'd be the type to plow straight through, but you can go around when you need to, huh?"
Fumikage followed next to the tape-student thanks to his Dark Shadow. "I'm going to hitch a ride! Land!" He ordered as Dark Shadow obliged.
Much luck of the class A members, few managed to overcome Shoto's ice but some others weren't luckier. Izuku was managing on staying afoot on the ice yet trying to skate over it.
'I should have listened to Jukkun when he said that one of these days we had to deal with an Ice-Quirk user.' Izuku regretted inwardly as he tried not to fall on his ass. He grumbled for a moment before noticing a three-point faux villain coming to him. "Alright, you'll do."
He somehow leaped on the ice and punched through the armor, destroying the robot immediately.
"Nice." He grinned as he then noticed a shield-like object on the ground, next to the giant's 'corpse' laid. "Oh, it's the armor of the one Todoroki-kun and Jukkun defeated!" He paused then brought an idea. "I think it'll do nicely."
Izuku picked the piece of armor and continued running forward.
BOOM!
Izuku looked up to see that one of the zero-point giant villains got blown up and he looked back to see Momo using a recently created cannon on it.
"Momo!" He called in surprise awe as she immediately disposed of the giant quickly.
"A piece of cake." She declared proudly before leaving the cannon back and running forward.
"Momo-chan!" Momo stopped and turned around to see Ochako, Tsuyu, and Itsuka running toward her.
"Hey, Yaoyorozu!" Itsuka grinned. "Wanna team up?"
Momo realized that they talked together during the two weeks of preparation.
~Flashback~
(Two Weeks Ago)
Momo, Ochako, and Itsuka were returning to their temporal residence, Momo's mansion, just before Tsuyu waited for them.
"Tsu-chan? What's wrong?" Ochako asked.
"May I go with you girls? I have something to ask you about." Tsuyu answered.
The girls looked at each other before agreeing with her to join them.
After returning to the manor as Tsuyu got the permission of her parents to stay for a few days at Momo's house, the girls were in the room that the three girls shared.
"What do you want to talk about, Tsu-chan?" Itsuka asked, now wearing a blue pajama.
"Well, as you know, I have a confession to make." Tsuyu said wearing a green pajama Momo offered before looking at Ochako and Momo. "I have seen how you two look at Midoriya when I first introduced to you."
If the way how the girls suddenly blushed at the sudden bluntness, Tsuyu nailed quite nicely at the question she got answered. Itsuka looked intrigued that her meekly childhood friend has two girls having a crush on him.
"And it's no surprise that I know that you two are in love with him." Tsuyu said before pausing. "Just like I have a crush on Takahashi."
If Itsuka had her curiosity, now she has her full attention.
"Wh-What?!" Itsuka choked on her saliva.
"You see, ever since I first met him, he was different from others. He didn't point wrongly about my frog appearance or anything, and he was the first person apart from my family and one friend that didn't bother about it." Tsuyu stated. "He was caring and understanding, and I do feel something for him."
While Momo and Ochako were listening with a caring expression, Itsuka felt she had now a competition. And while Itsuka can see that Tsuyu is a good girl, she needed to step up her game to gain Junpei's attention.
"What about you, Itsuka-chan?" Ochako asked as she wore a pink pajama.
Itsuka flinched at the sudden question. She had been so centered on her thoughts that she was surprised on hearing Ochako's question.
"A-Ah, well..." She rubbed her head sheepishly.
"Didn't you say that you grew up with Izuku and Takahashi during your time in a dojo?" Momo inquired as she wore a red pajama.
"Y-Yes, I did say that..." Itsuka smiled nervously, starting to sweat.
Ochako and Momo immediately noticed her reaction and smile mischievously; well, one showed more than the other.
"Saaay, Itsuka-chan! How do you see about Junpei-kun?" Ochako asked innocently.
"I-I... well..."
"I do believe that Takahashi-san is a great help with our reports as Class Representatives." Momo stated. "He even prepared the same tea that I love to drink."
The two girls stared mischievously at Itsuka who was starting to blush embarrassedly while Tsuyu remained quiet, watching in amusement yet understanding why Itsuka felt that way.
In any case, Itsuka couldn't hold it down.
"Alright! Geez, yeah, I have a crush on him! Happy?!" Itsuka screeched outrageously.
"Very!"
Itsuka sighed before looking at Tsuyu. "Look, Tsu-chan, I won't hold it to you since we have the same crush on him but it doesn't mean that I want to end this friendship we're sharing."
Tsuyu nodded in agreement. "We won't have a grudge whenever Junpei chooses and we'll continue with this friendship to the end."
"Yeah..." Itsuka sighed wearily. "I just hope that nobody else comes to him..."
Elsewhere, Mei Hatsume and Himiko Toga had the urge to sneeze. Whenever they continued wondering who could have spoken about them, both of them weren't interested to wonder such thoughts and continued doing what activities they've been doing.
"But that means for you two, too." Tsuyu said to Momo and Ochako.
The mentioned girls looked at each other and sighed.
"Well, they did it so why not us too?" Momo offered.
Ochako nodded. "Yeah, I can live with that. Though it'll be hard..." She chuckled nervously.
Finished with this conversation, the girls continued training as Ochako had decided to ask Junpei to train her.
~Flashback End~
"Sure, it is best to group up on this race with people that you know!" Momo agreed. She immediately created a motorbike with a side seat. "Here."
Momo offered three different helmets as she wore a red one.
"With this, we'll get to the next phase easily!" Ochako cheered, putting on the pink helmet and sitting behind Momo.
"Not on my watch!" The girls looked back to see that Minoru had jumped again holding two of his hair-balls on hand.
Itsuka watched flatly at the midget before turning to the girls. "Do you want me to...?" She left it like that.
The three girls nodded without hesitation. "Do your worst." They chorused flatly.
Sighing, Itsuka enlarged her hands and swatted him away like a fly.
"DAAAMN YOOOUUU!"
Dusting her hands, Itsuka sat on the side seat with Tsuyu. "Done! Let's get to it!"
The motorbike roared on start and began going forward, leaving the other runners behind.
"That's cheating!"
"It's strategy!" Ochako retorted back. With that, three girls of Class A and one of Class B made a temporal team until the race is finished.
-o-
"HEY, HEY! THE FIRST BARRIER'S A PIECE OF CAKE? THEN WHAT ABOUT THE SECOND?" Hizashi bellowed watching the few students that reached the pitfall looked at it in shock. "IF YOU FALL, YOU'RE OUT! IF YOU DON'T WANNA FALL, THEN CRAWL! IT'S "THE FALL"!"
Junpei stood next to Akari as they gazed at the deep place they were getting at, the only thing that could have been possible to pass are fortified ropes that were tied to multiple pits.
"Pheeew, that a long way down." Junpei whistled in amazement.
"I wonder how they made this..." Akari pointed out.
As they were talking, Shoto had already been moved out by skating over the ropes with his ices while the two of the runners were behind.
Junpei wasn't really concerned or worried that Shoto had overtaken him. He can simply float with his powers and fly past him if he wanted to. But that would be boring... everyone would be concerned that he was to be too overpowered for the others and they would distance themselves. It's one of the things he had planned to be. His support equipment did wonders of his strength and even trained him how to control them later, if any villains would tank them with ease like one giant villain, then it was needed for the weaker ones.
"Anyway, I think we should continue." Akari said as she looked back. "There seems that the others are getting closer."
Junpei turned back and saw that the first group which were Ochako, Momo, Tsuyu, and Itsuka were riding on a motorbike, Katsuki came next with his explosion boost, and Izuku was running with a piece of armor strapped on his back.
'Huh, he's going to use it for that...' Junpei thought already knowing what he was going to use it for. Or in case, is going to. "Welp, let's continue before they arrive."
Junpei levitated and Akari sprung her wings and flew forward chasing Shoto.
The next to arrive were the girls as they got off the motorbike, Ochako and Itsuka looked at the pitfall in disbelief.
"When did they build this stage?" Ochako gasped in disbelief.
"Beats me, but that's U.A. for you." Itsuka conceded in agreement.
"How do you think we'll have to cross?" Tsuyu asked. "I can simply crawl as my hands can stick to the ropes. Ochako-chan could use her Quirk to be weightless and I can use my tongue to wrap her waist."
"Hmm, maybe I should create something for us to pass." Momo mused before starting to do her work. "Wait for a moment; I have to create a cableway or something like that."
"Do it for you and Itsuka-chan, Momo-chan!" Ochako said. "I'll try to cross it on my own. If I don't do it myself, I can't bear to be dependent on everyone so I'll do it alone!"
"I don't think I'm possible to pass it without falling." Itsuka said before looking at Ochako and Tsuyu. "Think you two can pass?"
Ochako and Tsuyu nodded. "We can."
"Then go. I'll have to remain back to create something." Momo said.
With that, Tsuyu began crawling to the next pit while Ochako used her Quirk to levitate slightly and have Tsuyu use her tongue to hold her like a balloon.
After them, arrived Katsuki-
"YOU'RE NOT GOING TO WIN, DAMMIT!"
-nothing else was needed to be spoken.
Izuku came next but looking from afar he had to think of a way to pass the pits. Crawling would work but it would leave him exhausted for the next one, not that he'll ever get if he knows how to hold the ropes, but he can't even stop midway. So... what to do...
...an idea!
He walked a few steps back, prepared the armor that was strapped on his back, and began running.
The students were wondering what he was thinking and before anybody could have asked... Izuku jumped off the pit.
"WHAT?!" Everyone on the scene shouted in shock.
-o-
"WHAT IS MY BABY DOING?!" Inko shrieked in disbelief.
"Relax, Inko, I think Izuku has an idea." Mitsuki assured her, trying to calm her greenette friend. "Although, I don't know what he's thinking."
"We'll see what he came up." Masaru stated.
-o-
Izuku grabbed tightly his piece of armor and swung it over the firm rope. Using the rope as a path, he managed to hold the piece of armor tightly and glide to the other side.
"What the hell is Midoriya thinking?!" Mina said in shock.
"That's so manly!" Eijiro bellowed in amazement.
"Well, he and the others are capable of doing their way..." Hanta said before grinning. "But that doesn't mean that we have to stay on the sidelines!"
Hanta's tape shot out of his elbows and began making his way to the next pit.
"I'll go first!" Hanta sing-sang.
"HEY!"
-o-
Shoto was the first one to reach the third and final barrier.
"AND NOW, WE'VE QUICKLY ARRIVED AT THE FINAL BARRIER!" Hizashi announced hotly. "HERE WE ARE WITH THE MINEFIELD!"
It was easy to notice that some parts of the ground were bulging so Shoto easily assumed that there were the placed mines close to each other.
"IT'S SET UP SO THAT YOU CAN TELL WHERE THE MINES ARE IF YOU LOOK CAREFULLY! SO YOU HAVE TO EXPLOIT YOUR EYES AND LEGS!"
-o-
Hizashi looked at the bystanders in assurance and shook his finger. "By the way, these landmines are for games, so they're not that powerful, but they're loud and flashy enough to make you wet your pants!"
"That depends on the person." Shota grumbled.
-o-
Shoto remained behind as the second barrier runners passed by him... enough to make the minefield explode and have the students fly like confetti.
'I see. This is an obstacle that put those in the lead at a disadvantage.' Shoto mused as he carefully walked through the minefield. 'Trying to make it entertaining, huh?'
"Thinking too much I suppose, o deary Todoroki-kun."
Shoto turned back and saw the Deputy Class Representative lying on the air leisurely with his head resting on his fist while the other remained on his hip. His body looked like he was emitting a purple light as he was levitating without any drawbacks... if the way how he suddenly scratched his head in boredom had something to do with it, he didn't know.
"I mean..." Shoto paid attention to the 'second' strongest of the class. "You could have frozen the ground easily and skated on it through, though that also made the others behind use it, so that's something."
"Wh-What?" Shoto couldn't process what he said and before he could say more, they suddenly hear something behind.
"I'M THE ONE WHO'S GOING TO WIN, SHITTY-EYES! HALF 'N' HALF BASTARD! SALAMANDER-GIRL!"
They looked back to see that Katsuki was going full power toward them.
"At least he remembered that I'm here." A female voice sounded like a deadpan and Shoto turned the other side seeing the strongest female of their class with her wings flapping while keeping her feet over the ground.
"Mah, mah, no need to be mad about it." Junpei waved his hand in dismissal. "We knew how Bakugo is; he wouldn't even accept defeat even if it cost his life."
"Then, if we're about it..." Akari grinned before shooting forward. "I'll win this race!"
Junpei grinned before chasing back. "Not if I can stop it!"
Shoto looked front and then back. He knew that he was going to be at a disadvantage if he doesn't move up hastily. So for the best of his abilities, he decided to fuck it.
'Damn the consequences!' Shoto shot out his ice forward and begun skating at top speed.
"YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!"
"AND NOW, WE'VE GOT SOME NEW IN THE LEAD! REJOICE, MASS MEDIA! IT'S THE KIND OF DEVELOPMENT YOU GUYS LOVE!" Hizashi bellowed as the audience started cheering loudly.
-o-
"You can do it, Junpei!" Fumiko cheered.
"You can do it, Onii-chan!" Himiko added.
"Come on, you can do it!" Keiji roared at top of his lungs.
"Don't you dare to lose, brat!" Mitsuki shouted.
"Oh, Izuku, where are you?" Inko wondered in distress.
"There!" Yui pointed out where Izuku began amassing mines with the piece of armor he grabbed before.
"What is he going to use it for?" Genkei asked curiously.
-o-
Izuku had been digging and gathering all available mines to a single point while the four lead runners continued with their skirmishes.
"HEY, HEY, HEY, THE REST OF THE PACK IS ALSO SPEEDING UP! HOWEVER! EVEN AS THEY PUSH AND PULL AT EACH OTHER, CAN THE FOUR AT THE TOP REMAIN IN THE LEAD?"
Izuku looked forward and saw that Katsuki had been trying to push them back with his explosion only for them to dodge. And even if the others countered back, Katsuki would also dodge or parry.
He finished gathering all mines before looking forward.
"Not my best plans, but this is going to help me push forward." Izuku grinned as he held tightly the piece of armor and... jumped over them. "I'm going to borrow your idea, Kacchan!"
KA-BOOOOOOM!
"THERE'S A HUGE EXPLOSION AT THE BACK?! WHAT'S WITH THAT FORCE?!"
The four leads looked over their shoulder to witness the grand explosion that took at the starting point in surprise and shock, sans one who was grinning madly.
While the smoke began spreading to the other runners, they managed to identify one that was flying over them with a robust armor.
"WAS IT AN ACCIDENT, OR DID HE DO IT ON PURPOSE?" Hizashi roared in amazement. "CLASS A'S MIDORIYA IS IN HOT PURSUIT WITH THAT BLAST!"
Izuku grinned as he was lying over the piece of armor while the booming explosion roared behind.
Somehow, he had managed to take the lead which put the three runners in a shocked expression while one made a proud smile.
"ACTUALLY, HE'S TAKEN THE LEAD!"
"I hadn't thought about the landing!" Izuku said as he was descending as the others began running or flying forward.
"DEKU! DON'T GO AHEAD OF ME!" Katsuki pumped more explosions on his hands and pushed forward.
"DON'T THINK THAT YOU TWO CAN LEAVE ME BEHIND!" Junpei bellowed with a grin, shooting forward.
"I'LL SHOW YOU BOYS HOW A GIRL PLAYS!" Akari roared flapping her wings more intensely.
Shoto kept quiet as he made more ice forward and skated forward.
"THE FOUR FORMERLY IN THE LEAD HAVE STOPPED TRYING TO SLOW EACH OTHER DOWN AND ARE CHASING MIDORIYA!" Hizashi bellowed, exciting the audience more. "NOW THAT THEY HAVE A COMMON ENEMY, THEY'VE STOPPED FIGHTING! THE FIGHT'S NOT OVER YET, THOUGHT!"
"What are you saying...?" Shota grunted.
Izuku had a few seconds before the runners overtaken him, leaving him behind. So he did what he had to do... he grabbed the rope he had been using as a strap, pulled it, and swung it over his shoulder toward the minefield.
Junpei quickly noticed his intention and moved aside from the others. Nobody had noticed that Izuku used the piece of armor and struck the ground... which had many minefields.
KA-BOOOM!
Another explosion boomed taking the three runners back while the other ignored completely the explosion and pushed forward.
"MIDORIYA SWIFTLY BLOCKS THOSE BEHIND HIM! WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT? HE CLEARED THE MINEFIELD IN AN INSTANT!"
Izuku used the explosion as a spring which got him now in the lead. Now that the piece of armor wasn't needed, he threw it aside and started running. Junpei, who wasn't struck by the explosion, started running behind. He had to summon Cancer for a brief moment before he got knocked out of the race, after the smoke disappeared, Cancer disappeared into his mindscape after doing his job.
After him, Katsuki, Shoto, and Akari chased them from behind mildly dazed.
"ERASER HEAD, YOUR CLASS IS AMAZING! WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING THEM?!" Hizashi shouted in disbelief.
"I didn't do anything." Shota commented. "They got each other fired up on their own."
The two commentators watched the students running inside the tunnel.
"U.A. SPORTS FESTIVAL, FIRST-YEAR STAGE! WHO COULD'VE PREDICTED THE DEVELOPMENTS AT THE BEGINNING OR THIS CONCLUSION?" Hizashi roared. "RIGHT NOW, THE FIRST PERSON BACK IN THE STADIUM IS THAT MAN OR WOMAN..."
Junpei decided to be more amusing than letting himself win so he stepped back a little and pushed forward with his [Magic Eyes] at Izuku.
Izuku's body emitted a soft light as he felt being pushed forward and letting himself gain a small push.
"IZUKU MIDORIYA'S MADE A HUGE SPLASH!"
-o-
"MY BABY WOOOOON!" Inko sobbed joyfully as tears sprout out of her eye sockets. The Takahashi family somehow had gotten prepared tissues for the poor woman crying happy tears out as they knew how her personality was.
"No matter how Aunt Inko remains like this, she's the same as always." Fumiko chided with both Kenji and Himari laughing in agreement.
-o-
Izuku panted slightly as he watched himself standing in front of the other students. Junpei and Akari seemed to have been talking about something, Shoto remained quiet as he panted softly but stared at him mutely, and as for Katsuki...
"DAAAMN IIIT!"
He was cursing like no tomorrow.
The fact that Junpei won taking second place had him mad... but on the other hand, where Izuku placed first place had him furious. Since he can't attack him at the moment since most people would witness his action, the only thing he could do is curse furiously as he took fifth place.
"Well, I took third place so that's something..." Akari sighed shaking her head.
"Don't take it personally; I think the blast had knocked some sense into you so you were kind of dazed." Junpei assured her. "Personally speaking, you did well and won by a small margin to Todoroki-san, over there."
The two turned to see Shoto remained quiet and continued staring at Izuku.
"Is it just me or he's being creepy at the moment?" Akari wondered softly.
"Dunno." Junpei shrugged, although what both Izuku and Shoto would talk about is already known for him, it was strange for him to ask that question; one of the reasons that that scene became a meme.
"AND NOW, THEY'RE FINISHING ONE AFTER ANOTHER! WE'LL MAKE A LIST OF THE RESULTS LATER, BUT FOR NOW, GOOD WORK!"
The next runner that passed through the goal was Ibara Shiozaka, a girl of Class B with her Quirk: [Vine], and she was the kind of a religious character if Junpei thought about it.
The next people were Momo Yaoyorozu, Itsuka Kendo, Ochako Uraraka, and Tsuyu Asui, respectively, seated together on a bike with a side seat. Junpei sighed in relief, he knows how to value women and respect them, and watching Minoru planted on Momo's back, back when it was a simple story, he was glad that it wasn't this case.
"Deku-kun! You were amazing!" Ochako cheered.
"It was a dangerous gamble you played there." Momo added worriedly.
"Ochako-chan! Momo-chan!" Izuku said. "Sorry, I was getting behind and I needed to form a plan."
"I didn't know you four would team up." Junpei brought up.
Itsuka shrugged indifferently. "There wasn't something that prohibited doing it. Also, you did the same with Tatsuma-san, so you don't have a place to complain!"
"Well, we did reach here on time so it isn't needed to scold him, Itsuka-chan." Tsuyu said placing a finger on her chin. "Momo managed to create another bike after Midoriya used most of it and got us a clean path."
The next of Class A was Tenya Iida and for the looks of it, he looked depressed after he came in twelfth place.
"I can't believe I fell behind with this Quirk... That's so frustrating, dang it!"
"You did your best..." Izuku and Ochako tried to cheer him while Junpei, Momo, Itsuka, and Tsuyu gave sympathetic expressions.
After them, it came many people of Class A and B. Hitoshi and Mei managed to reach the goal, and yet they managed to do it over their previously held position. Minoru, unsurprisingly, used the same method Junpei knew on another girl, who had long-hair with a mixture of black and dark blue with white dots like a galaxy as for Minoru, he had many bruises, black eyes, and nose-bleed.
"Get the fuck out of my back before I put you inside a small black hole!" She growled furiously as Minoru was on her back shamelessly.
"WOOHO! I killed two birds with one stone! I'm a genius!" Minoru cheered.
"I should have hit him harder." Itsuka growled, fisting her enlarged fists together.
"Oh, allow me." Momo said coldly as her body began emitting her usual lights trying to form up a weapon for Itsuka.
"GET THE FUCK OUT!"
"I wonder who that is." Junpei brought up. He never knew a character like her, in fact, she didn't even exist. Maybe by having twenty-two students instead of twenty had two new students for Class B too.
"Come right up, boys and girls." Nerumi called up. The students obliged and stood in front of the dominatrix. "All right students! The first game of the first-year stage is finally over. Now, take a look at the results!"

"The top 46 made it through to the next round. It's unfortunate, but don't worry even if you didn't make it!" Nerumi reassured the other students. "We've prepared another chance for you to shine."
Every student noted that Nerumi was enjoying this too much if the sadistic gleam shone on her eyes.
"But for now, we'll take an hour of rest before continuing with the next round!" She announced as a few of the recently arrived students sighed in relief. "Off you go!"
Junpei walked away with his group until someone tapped his shoulder. He looked back to see that it was Fumikage Tokoyami who gained his attention.
"Oh, Tokoyami, what's wrong?" He asked.
"May we speak in private?" Fumikage requested as Junpei cocked an eyebrow. He didn't know much about the bird-headed student as the only thing he knows about him is that he's an edgy character with some kind of a chuunibyou personality and his Quirk: [Dark Shadow] is a sentient being capable of thinking by itself, should he really call it 'it'? Meh, he'll ask later.
"Sure, let's go." Junpei turned back to his pals. "Go ahead and eat, I'll get to you later."
Izuku, Ochako, Tenya, Momo, and Tsuyu nodded as Junpei and Fumikage went the other way. They walked for a few seconds before noted that there was nobody else around.
"Alright, Tokoyami, what is what you want to know?"
Fumikage looked at me in the eyes before looking down. "Dark Shadow."
The darker and somber-looking shadow appeared in front of him. Dark Shadow looked at me briefly before turning to its master.
(Ah, yes, we're now in front of the Prince of Zodiacs, yes?)
Junpei blinked in confusion. "Prince of Zodiacs?"
"Dark Shadow meant about those summonses you brought during USJ." Fumikage explained. "I couldn't have known that I could meet someone like me."
Junpei cocked an eyebrow between him and Dark Shadow. Then, with a realization, he understood what he meant. "Ah, people with a sentient Quirk."
Fumikage nodded. "Yes, there aren't many like you and me apart from my family. May I?"
Junpei shrugged before snapping his fingers. "Sure, knock yourself out."
Out of thin air, appeared Cancer.
(You called, Young Master?) Cancer said gentlemanly before noticing their two guests. (And it seems that there are guests here, hmm? The Prince of Darkness and his knight.)
"He asked." Junpei simplified.
Fumikage was surprised for a moment before turning to his stoic expression. "We had met before, back in the USJ when Koji and I were at the Downpour Zone."
(Yeah, they rocked asses!) Dark Shadow cackled. (There was also a lad there.)
(You mean Virgo.) Cancer said.
(Yeah, she!)
Junpei snapped his fingers again and this time appeared Virgo.
(Virgo, reporting for duty!) Virgo said cheerfully before looking confused. (Uh, where is the action?)
"No action, for now, Virgo, just a colleague wondering about my powers."
Virgo sagged sadly. (Aww, okay, Young Master...)
"Something that I got to ask...?" Fumikage asked as Junpei's attention turned to him. "Why do they call you, Young Master? It doesn't look fitting from the looks of it."
Junpei shrugged indifferently. "Hell if I know, I told them once that it wasn't needed the 'Young Master' gig but they didn't care or want to continue saying it."
"Hm, and for how long have you been with them?"
"It was supposedly when I was four but they appeared when I was six." Junpei replied. Truthfully, he knew they were inside his head but couldn't come up until he managed to control better his [Magic Eyes] Quirk. "I thought I could use them immediately but it seemed that I had zero control during my infant years. Cancer was my first Guardian to be summoned."
"Hm, that's the same with Dark Shadow." Fumikage agreed. "Although I was small, controlling Dark Shadow was no easy feat. It takes time to be able to maintain its form intact."
(You won't believe how Big Bro had a hard time with me.) Dark Shadow groaned.
"Oh, now that I'm curious about, what gender is Dark Shadow?" Junpei inquired. There were many reasons to believe that it was male, as its voice, but since MHA Smash made the sentient a female, it was kind of confusing.
Fumikage's head looked down while his eyes were shut. "...it's a secret."
Junpei then looked at him owlishly. "...huh? A secret?"
Dark Shadow sighed while shaking his head. (It isn't much a secret, Big Bro Fumi. As much, I think the crustaceous skeleton is a male while the sheep is a female.)
Junpei blinked in surprise. "You can tell?"
The dark entity shrugged indifferently. (If you can notice how they act and speak, it's easy. As for me, well, it's preferable to remain a secret until you can tell.)
Junpei raised an eyebrow and looked at his two Guardians. "As for you two?"
(It's difficult to see what gender is this Dark Shadow, Young Master.) Cancer sighed.
(Yeah! We might know what gender we are, but this one is hard to see since its body is all dark and shadowy!) Virgo chirped in agreement.
Junpei sighed, for now leaving this mystery to another day. "Anyway, was that all you wanted to ask?"
Fumikage nodded. "Yeah, that's all."
The reincarnated adult turned around. "Okay, if you need anything else, ask me. Be seeing you, Tokoyami."
Junpei left the bird-headed student alone as both Cancer and Virgo faded from existence. He then thought about what these two were talking about. People with Emitter-type that has a sentient Quirk are few in the world and those that are Mutant-type with noticeable features are abundant.
The thing he said when he first met Tsuyu wouldn't be simple words. He'll try to change the view of the people much as an inspiration...
...
...
...
Inspiration...
...yeah, that's a plan to look up for.
For now, he needs to focus on the present event and later watch for anything dangerous. He'll have to come up with something that that'll change the timeline.
TO BE CONTINUED
OMAKE – 'What If' – Teleportation is a shortcut!
"As long as you stay on the course, it doesn't matter what you do!" Nemuri bellowed, pointing at the starting point. "Now, take your places everyone!"
Junpei sighed looking around with a bored expression. He understands that on this round, the race is a test of endurance and luck. But he already knows what happens and to tell the truth, he wasn't really happy to race.
"You okay Takahashi? You look tired." Akari said in mild concern.
"Eh, just not happy to race, that's all." Junpei shrugged tiredly, putting his hands in his pockets. "I might find a shortcut or something."
"Pff, like a shortcut would appear out of nowhere." She scoffed good-naturally.
Akari left him alone as she sprung her wings in preparation. Junpei sighed wearily scratching his head before he noticed his greenette friend coming to him.
"Are you alright, Jukkun? You kept forgetting the time to sleep again?" Izuku asked. He knew for the most part of his life that Junpei slept less while he worked out. He knew the state he leaves when he slouches in tiredness.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm always good. Just nervous about the competition, that's all." The horned-blunette friend lied. In truth, he had been working on something with Himiko three days ago. She was happy to talk to him but the time the two could speak would be limited after their internship.
"You should look up Recovery Girl after this. You wouldn't want to miss the Sports Festival." Izuku suggested.
"Yeah, I'll do that."
Izuku nodded, accepting the promise, and prepared for the race. Junpei remained silent while keeping his hands on his pockets blankly as everyone tensed in preparation.
Every spectator and runner quieted down as the countdown began...
"Three..."
"I'm ready..." Izuku breathed in and out.
"Two..."
Katsuki's hands began popping small explosions as a vicious smirk formed on his face.
"One..."
"START!" Nemuri roared as every student began running ahead.
As soon as the countdown went zero, every student immediately dashed forward as the spectators began roaring.
They could hear the students trying to pass through the hole while few others already passed through with their Quirks... all but Junpei remained behind.
"Huh... Takahashi-san?" Junpei looked up to see Nemuri looked at him oddly. "The race just started. Why don't go already?"
Junpei looked at her wearily and blinking slowly before looking at the hole that students were starting to lessen. "Oh..."
With that, he began walking slowly instead of running toward it. Few heroes were wondering what he was doing while others began booing for him to start competing.
His family? They remained quiet while they heard the spectator booing and hollering him hotly.
"Uh, Yui-chan." The mother of the Takahashi family turned to the mother of the Bakugo family. "Why is Junpei-kun not running as the others? Isn't he really concerned that he could lose?"
Yui simply gave her a friendly smile. "Oh, don't you worry; Mitsuki-chan. Junpei knows what he's doing."
Mitsuki blinked in confusion. "Huh? What do you mean?"
"I give 5000 Yen if he baffles the heroes." Keiji said, chuckling.
"I'll add another 5000 Yen if Principal Nezu limits him from using it during the Sports Festival." Fumiko added.
"Deal!"
The father of the Bakugo family them talking and looked at them. "Uh, Keiji-kun, Fumiko-chan, what are you two doing?"
"Oh, nothing Uncle Masaru, just wondering if Junpei is going to use that." Keiji smirked.
"He means his 'shortcuts'." Fumiko said, air-quoting.
Masaru blinked in confusion at what they were talking about. "I'm lost."
"Just watch, Masaru." Genkei chuckled. "You'll be surprised."
And so they did, they watched Junpei walked closer to the hole the students walked into... just before they looked up to the finishing point as the horned student simply scratching his chin.
"I'm done!" Junpei declared wearily.
...
One second.
...
Two seconds.
...
Three seconds.
Everyone wondered in confusion and blinked in unison at the student.
"WH-WHAT?! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! IT SEEMS THAT THE STUDENT JUNPEI TAKAHASHI OF CLASS A FINISHED THE COURSE!" Hizashi bellowed in total aghast. "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS HAPPENING?!"
"It's my first time seeing it so I cannot say anything to comment." Shota commented blankly, although internally he was totally confused. He only knew that he had Strength-type and Psychic-type Quirks as both parents.
"WHAAAAAAT?!" Everyone bellowed in total confusion.
"WHAAAAAT?! WHAT THE FUCK IS HE DOING?!" Katsuki, of all people, roared furiously. "YOU, SHITTY-EYES, YOU DON'T HAVE THE FUCKING POINT OF DOING THIS FREAKING RACE, AT ALL!"
Izuku sighed, facepalming in shame. "I should have known better..."
Junpei simply looked at the camera and gave it V-sign fingers shamelessly. "I did it."
Nezu looked over his seat with the other teachers of U.A. in bafflement although he was less noticeable from his ever-smiling face.
'It seems that Young Takahashi has much to show us teachers of U.A. and the world.' He thought before grinning. 'It's going to be interesting.'
Although he didn't know, his thoughts were shared as the other being of the other side of the law thought alike to the dog-mouse-bear being.

Okay, I know that it took a long time to write this chapter and all. But ever since I brought my new story "Gamer to Gangster" to life, it has been popular! I even have to rewrite "The Outsider" and "Trapped in the Game-Fantasy World" for it is better! I started as an amateur in writing (I keep reminding you that I'm from South America so my first language is Spanish and English is my second.) and I even got a One-shot of One Piece called "Devil's Justice".
Anyway, I'll try to work my stories in moderation but I can't promise that it'll take long. And for those who think otherwise, I'm NOT going to quit my stories unless something happens to me. Either way, I hope that everyone has a great day after reading this. Expect my stories in the future. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2021!
