The Legion Of Thugs Return – Part 1
I can see that you probably thought that New Years would end in the last chapter right? Well obviously not ladies and gentlemen! In this chapter, RDJ will talk to Lila about what he's just seen, Aiden and Devine will talk once more…and another life will be claimed by Fred…who you ask? You'll just have to find out…Won't you! Let's get right to it! P.S The story will always be dark at points in this story.
Let's Start With Aiden And Devine…
The scarlet macaw male was pacing up and down at the top of the large tourist attraction that is the pyramid of the moon. And he was still furious about the fact that Devine didn't tell him about taking over someone else. Especially since he felt like she didn't value him as an individual.
"This is incredibly insulting! Our whole friendship was built up after months and months of work! But now that I have a girlfriend she thinks that taking over random strangers is better?! Typical that is isn't it? I give and give and give! Yet it is never enough for her." Aiden grumbled as he kicked a feather that fell from his tail feathers off of the roof in a huff.
"Aiden? Please can we talk?" Devine still had control of Gabriel's body, and came around the corner to talk to her friend. But he was in no mood to talk to her.
"I am still so annoyed with you Devine! Do you know how humiliating that was for me in there?" Aiden asked as he shook his head in annoyance. "Clearly you want to go off with her! Why? Because I'm a guy?"
"No, that's not the reason…"
"Or is it because you don't want to have sex with a girl? Well it's not my fault that I'm a guy who is in love with a girl!"
"No Aiden…"
"Then what?! What?! Spit it out!"
"YOU ARE BREAKING MY HEART!" Devine screamed at him in frustration as she finally got her point across to him.
This did take him a little by surprise as he wasn't expecting such things to emerge from her. But he did calm down and calmly ask her what she meant. "Breaking your heart? What do you mean?"
"Haaaa…You…Were my best friend Aiden! You and I were very very close…and I miss how close we used to be…" Devine too calmed herself down when finally letting her emotions out. She sadly turned away from him. "I know that it was me who pushed things for you guys to be together. But now that you are in love with her, I feel like I needed a new beginning! So…that is why…I…I…" She didn't quite know how to finish her sentence…but luckily for her…Aiden knew how to do it for her.
"It's okay Devine…You don't need to say anything else. You can move to her if you wish. It's okay with me." The scarlet macaw male smiled as he patted her on the back.
"R-Really? You…You sure that you don't mind me doing this?"
"Of course not Devine! We all have to move on at some point in life, and now is the time for me to move on too!"
Both of them stood and smiled at each other knowing madly in silence, as they both had so much respect and love for their friendship. Without any other awkward words being spoken, Devine gave Aiden a warm hug. "Thank you for everything Aiden! I'm sure gonna miss you!"
"And I'll miss you too Devine…I'll miss you too…"
Now…Let Us Check In On The Destroyer…Sorry…My Bad…I mean Fred…Damn…I've Been Narrating Since The Beginning And I'm Now Getting Name's Wrong? Let's Just Go To Fred…
Moments after the encounter between the head of the assassins and The Destroyer. Fred, who of course was unmasked as the Destroyer, arrived back at the base of operations with a couple of his men flying either side of him. He didn't look too worried about what just happened. Especially since he made another escape attempt using smoke grenades.
The first one to greet him was of course his new second in command…but for some reason…they were wearing a hood.
Fred arrived on the scene and marched right up to the hooded bird…feeling incredibly disappointed in how they did things without him.
"You had…one…fucking thing to do! And now…you are back here with me! Gosh…I bet you were still too busy drooling over your ex boyfriend, weren't you?!" Fred angrily growled at the bird, who revealed to be a female harpy eagle. "So…have you decided to stop your thieving and criminal ways, Olga?"
The harpy eagle female pulled her hood down to reveal her face. She had light green eyes, a black beak, and white facial markings. She looked incredibly pissed off with the way he was speaking to her.
"Excuse me master! But I do not think about…Dominic anymore! And besides, he is happy in Rio with his new family! Not that I care anyway!" Olga replied in annoyance as she turned away from him. "Besides, why do you care anyway? I don't see you succeeding against the assassin!" The female finally revealed herself to be the ex girlfriend of Dominic, who currently lives in Rio. "Also…now I know where they are located…the pyramid of the moon…"
"Hmmm…Very clever of them to hide out there…very clever indeed…Oh don't worry…I am already well aware of the assassin! Not only that…his friends are here…in the city…" He replied with a sadistic grin, lowering his head and raising it back up to face her. "Now…do you remember what I told you I needed you to do?"
"Yes…but master…what are five keys to us? Why are they so important to us?"
"Because…my eagle friend…" Fred grasped her by her wing and pulled her towards him, taking her completely by surprise. "If you help me do this…I can make you rich! Rich enough to retire!" He spoke with an evil tone, running a wingtip down her chest.
"What are you talking about Fred?"
"Listen…" He began to circle around her…talking in a very persuasive voice. "You do this for me…I leave you…All of Jair's treasure! All I want is his hidden secret…"
"What secret? What are you talking…"
"I said no further questions! Now…move it! We are running…out…of time…Kill anyone who gets in your way…"
"Yes master…" Olga responded before nodding her head, and turning away to look at the men Fred supplied her with. "Listen up! Start killing the innocent within the city to draw the assassin in! I will steal the keys from the pyramid…let's move out!"
Now Let's Head To RDJ And Lila…
Hours had passed since the events that took place in the cemetery, and since then Lila was sat on top of the pyramid in complete silence. Enjoying the view of the entire city, as she felt so moved by the beauty of the amazing city.
The orange glow of the sunset shined in her eyes as she gazed out into the distance. She was in awe of how beautiful it was. That she was almost reduced to tears.
"Wow…so gorgeous up here…" The blue macaw female whispered to nobody in particular, her heart feeling slow and relaxed at a steady pace. Feeling lighter than air while enjoying this view. "It truly is a magnificent sight!"
"I couldn't agree more…"
Lila smiled sweetly at the new voice that came from behind her, then peered over her shoulder. Only to see her beloved husband posing there, with his hood down so that she could see his handsome face.
"You pulled your hood down?" She seemed surprised that the head of the assassins had his hood pulled down. "I kinda prefer it without you wearing it like that, hehe." She giggled and blushed. Admiring the fact that now she can see the true colour of his crystal blue eyes.
"Well…" He smoothly wrapped his wings around her waist, then held her close as he gazed deeply into her bright purple eyes. "I thought that maybe, it was about time I show you what you'll be seeing every day! Especially now since I have…this!"
He pulled out of his holster the fifth and final key, that he lifted in front of her eyes. As they immediately lit up in excitement. "Huaaaa! The final key! Does that…Does that mean…" She flicked a wingtip on the edge of it, and realised exactly what it meant.
"Yes, my love! We can finally go back to Belarus and finish what my father had started! And if we leave now, I can find out the secrets of keys four and five on the plane journey there! That way we can kill more time!" RDJ spoke in a smooth manner m, brushing a wing up against her cheek. "Then it's just me…you…the kids…and our friends and family forever!"
"Oh honey! I'm so glad that we are going home soon! So what's the plan?" Lila lit up with more excitement, as he planted a kiss on her cheek.
"We need to tell the others to pack up and move! We are leaving Mexico right now…"
"WHAT?! BUT WE HAD A DEAL?!"
Suddenly, both RDJ and Lila turned around to face the new voice that appeared from behind them. Quickly pulling his hood down over his head to hide his face as he noticed Reece standing there angrily scowling at him.
"Reece? What are you…"
"Save it mentor! Why are you leaving Mexico?! When you promised me we were going to kill the leader of the thugs?!" Reece shouted at him as he pointed his wingtip at him. "Are you running away?! Only after you get your wife back?!"
"You listen to me! My husband is not running away!" Lila stood in front of her husband to defend him. But Reece still wasn't having any of it.
"Stand back princess! The men are talking here!"
"HEY! DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO MY WIFE LIKE THAT?!" RDJ screeched as he pointed his machete at the grey macaw male. Only for Reece to pull out a pistol and take the safety off. "Go ahead! Shoot me! Then my family will just kill you, then nobody wins!"
"Fuck you RDJ! We had a deal to kill The Destroyer! Why are you suddenly looking to leave Mexico?!" The grey macaw pondered as he felt so much anger inside of him.
The blue and gold macaw male stayed silent for a moment or two to calm down after the tense discussion. Then he lowered his weapon slowly, sighing in defeat as he did so.
Reece too lowered his weapon and took the safety off his pistol.
As RDJ was about to tell Reece about who The Destroyer really was…
"Reece…The Destroyer…He's my…"
KABOOOOM!
"WHAT THE FUCK?!" All three of them simultaneously spoke at the same time, and shot their heads around towards the sound of a huge explosion that appeared within the city.
"What's going on?!" Jewel shouted in concern as everybody appeared on the same platform at the top of the pyramid.
"An explosion went off on the city! But we don't know why?" Reece explained and checked his ammunition and weapons.
"This is not good! Okay…Lila, I need you, Jacqueline and…" RDJ was about to give orders to his wife and friends, but she instantly shushed him with her wingtip.
"Ohhh no no no! We are doing this together mister! Wether you like it or not!" Lila giggled as he just wanted her to be safe.
"But honey, I just want you to be safe!" He cutely smiled at her, kissing her soothingly on the neck.
"Hehehe!" She giggled playfully in delight as she thought the kiss on the neck was very ticklish for her.
"Oooh, you like that huh?" He smiled seductively at her, as he played with her head feathers.
"Yeahhh…I love!" Lila beamed whilst narrowing her eyes at him too in a seductive manner. Until they eventually did a back and forth of cute responses, despite the circumstances.
"Well…I love you!"
"I love you!"
"I love you more!"
"No I love you more!"
"No I love you mo…"
"WE GET IT! YOU BOTH LOVE EACH OTHER MORE! NOW LET'S GET DOWN THERE AND KICK SOME ASS!" Jaime blurted out at the top of his lungs and pulled out his machete to attack.
"Sorry! You are absolutely right, we should be focusing more on the task at wing!" RDJ chuckled as his beloved blushed in embarrassment. "Birds of the world?!"
"ALWAYS STICK TOGETHER!" Everyone but Reece and Gabriel shouted simultaneously. With all of them leaping off of the top of the pyramid together to head towards the commotion that was within the city.
But…just as all of them decided to leave together…
"Hehehehehe! Well…that was easy?" A dark and sadistic voice came from the shadows as they revealed to be of course from nobody other than Olga.
The harpy eagle female rolled into the depths of the pyramid to have a look around for the keys that RDJ had left behind.
"Now…where are those keys?" She spoke out loud whilst searching through all of the possessions in the base.
Although…as she was searching through all of the items in the base for the item…a certain someone spoke up to break the silence. "You want them? You're gonna have to defeat me first!"
Olga instantly shot up from the floor when this newcomer arrived in her presence. And she quickly spun around and threw what appeared to be a knife at the figure. Who immediately blocked it with a shield.
"Who…the fuck…are you?!" She angrily growled at her opponent, before getting back into a defensive position.
As the male figure stepped out of the shadows…they revealed to be none other…than a familiar snowy owl male. "The name's Alex! Now…prepare to be defeated by…" He quickly pulls out his nunchucks and twirls them around his head. "The nunchuck master!"
She smirked at the way he was acting and leaned up against the wall in a sly manner. "Alex? I thought you'd be Apollo? My ex boyfriend's stupid little pet!"
"Wait wait wait…you're Olga?!"
"Very good little snowball…"
"Okay, that is clearly not going to work with me sweetheart! But seriously, how the fuck are you working for The Destroyer? He only wants to enslave the world?" Alex put his nunchucks away, because he is trying to reason with her.
"No! He is giving me treasure! Now…tell me where the keys are!" Olga didn't want to listen to him, and threatened him again with her knife.
"Olga…Dominic still loves you…" The snowy owl male tried to persuade her, and approached her very gently.
"No he doesn't! That's a lie! DON'T LIE TO ME!" She screamed in rage, and bashed him in the face with what appeared to be a retractable metal fist. Making him stumble back a few paces.
"I'm not lying! Now listen…I don't want to fight you…But I will have to kill you if you try to steal those keys." Alex warned her back and removed the nunchucks from his waist again. "This is your last warning Olga…"
"No…THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING!" Olga screeched as she prepared for battle against the snowy owl. Who sighed heavily and prepared his nunchucks for a fight.
"So be it…But I must warn you…I never lose…"
Let's Head Back To The City…
A horror show was in play in the streets of Mexico City…as hundreds of not thousands of Remainders that were clearly sent by Fred, were killing the innocent birds of the city.
They did not hesitate to kill men…women…even the children. It was an absolutely horrific scene for anyone to watch.
RDJ lead the charge with his friends who all flew into battle to try and stop the Remainders from taking control of the city again.
"So mentor…what is the plan?" Monifa asked curiously, as she flew alongside her new boyfriend Keith.
"The city seems to be overrun by the enemy! I think we need to put the innocent first, and ask them to fight with us!" RDJ remarked as he saw so many innocent bodies keying in the streets as they fire by. "Fuck me…How could they be so ruthless?!"
"I'll fuck you if you want darling! But I may need my husband to join us…" Martin chuckled in a sassy manner, but this wasn't really the time or the place to be naming such jokes.
"Martin! Now is not the time for sassy jokes! We need to save as many of the locals as we can, and give them the weapons the Remainders drop to help us fight back! Now, I want everyone to spread out and help them!"
"Yes mentor!" All of them replied in an instant as they separated in separate directions to help out the innocent birds who may have been injured in the explosion.
As for others, they were already injured from the Remainders attacking them unprovoked.
Aiden noticed two males were closing in on a mother with two children. The three of them were cowering in the corner, whilst they were showing them no mercy.
"Please mister! Don't kill us!" A little girl cried as they hugged their mother closer in comfort.
"Sorry kid…business is business!" One of the military macaws replied in a sad tone, as he slashed the mother by the throat. Causing her to gag to death on her own blood in front of the children. Who were now even more petrified in fear.
"Fucking bastards! Devine! Let's get th…Oh yeah…I forgot she's not with me anymore!" The scarlet male rolled his eyes as fe shot himself towards the group of males.
He used his shotgun to blast two in the head at the same time, then smacked the back of his gun on the neck of the skull on the other attacker, before blasting him in the stomach.
"Boom! That's the way to do it!" He cheered triumphantly, before turning to face the kids. "Come on you guys…I'm getting you out of here!"
"B-B-But what about our m-m-mommy?!" Both of them stuttered sadly as they hid behind him in fear.
"Haaaa…I'm sorry kids…but your mommy is in a deep sleep now. There's nothing we can do for her now…" He sadly mumbled, escorting them away to safety.
Now Let's Head To RDJ And Jaime…
"Hiyaaa! So…you and Lila back together again? That's really good news!" The blue jay beamed as he cut a thug in the throat with his machete. While RDJ fired an arrow into another macaw who was trying to attack Jewel.
"Phew! Thanks RDJ!" The female winked at her friend playfully, before flipping over a military macaw and snapping his neck.
"Yeah, I'm so happy that we are! Honestly, I don't think I could ever live without her! She is my everything!" RDJ smiled lovingly at his wife, as she fired an arrow straight through two birds at once. Before turning around and spanking herself on the butt in front of her beloved to tease him. And it clearly worked like a charm. "Hahaha…yeah, I'm pretty…ahhhhh…lucky…"
"Master? Are you okay?" Monifa asked in concern as she fired a rope dart at a sparrow and shot the other end at an electric fence. Pulling him straight in so he would electrocute himself in an instant.
"I'm fine…I…I just…oh fuck…Fuck! Where's Alex?!" For a moment there, he had a little look around the battlefield and saw that Blu and Jewel were taking care of some families who were badly injured.
Allie and Aiden had a group of at least twenty kids all hiding behind them, as they escorted them to safety.
Keith, Andy, Jacqueline and Tomada were helping Martin gather as many injured and sick children as possible. Because most of The Remainders were now fleeing from the battlefield quite abruptly for some weird reason. This made RDJ even more confused.
"Monifa. Where the fuck is he?!" Jaime called out as he too was getting annoyed.
"What do you mean?"
"Monifa, where is Alex?! I just noticed that he isn't here on the battlefield with us!" RDJ asked a second time, feeling a wave of impatience hit him.
"I'm not sure? I think he stayed back at the pyramid to guard the keys…but he did tell Tomada that he thinks someone was lurking there…" The grey African female replied, before noticing that the battlefield was looking fairly empty all of a sudden. "That's weird? Why are there no more Remainders?"
"What? What do you mean?" Martin arrived on the scene with a hacksaw in one wing, and surprisingly…a macaw's head with blood dripping from the bottom in the other wing.
"What the fuck?!" Jameson cursed in shock when seeing the green winged male with a severed head.
"What?"
"You're holding a macaw head?! What the hell?!"
"Excuuuuse me! He tried to kill me, so I sliced his head clean off!" Martin smiled as he looked at the head proudly.
(Ahem…Ummm…Are you going to eat that?)
Devil Darkness asked as he was feeling pretty hungry, but RDJ remembered what they were talking about earlier and once again intervened. "SHUT UP! WHERE IS ALEX?!"
"I already told you master! He's back at the pyramid! But don't worry, I'm sure he has everything under control…"
Now We Head Back To Olga And Alex…
Olga clashed with the snowy owl multiple times as she tried to beat him senseless to get the location of the five keys.
She already pushed him into the wall, bashed him in the head, and sliced him on his chest. But no matter what, he still wasn't going to back down. "Listen to me owl…tell me where the keys of Jair are, or you will suffer the eternal consequences!" The harpy eagle fenskd growled as she circled around him.
"Haaaa…you really think I'm going to tell you anything? You're as dumb as Fred for that matter!" Alex responded as he wiped his beak of blood and saliva.
"Come on Alex? You know that I don't want to kill you! I just want to do my job so Fred doesn't kill me! I have a family to support!"
"And you think I don't?! I have a wife, kids, the whims thing! I'm sorry…but you can't have the keys!" Alex narrowed his eyes as he got back into a fighting stance. "If you want them…you'll have to kill me…"
The harpy eagle female lowered her head in defeat and took a bow for no reason whatsoever. Making the snowy owl male very confused. "Well then…you leave us with no choice Alex…Do us a favour? And say hello to Leandro for me?"
"What are you talking ab-ACCCKKKK-AAAA-aaaaa…what…haaaaa…" Suddenly, a machete went straight through his back and out of his chest. As he began to shake in weakness.
"Surprise…Snowball!" As soon as Alex was kicked in the back by a figure that was standing behind him. It of course revealed to be none other than Fred. Who sadistically grinned whilst wiping the blood from his weapon. "Oh dear oh dear oh dear…This is such a predicament isn't it? Well…I guess now we can get the keys after all…"
"F-F-Fuck you! F-F-Fred! Even if I…Ahhhhh…Die today…you won't get me to talk about the keys! You will never get them! Never!" Alex stuttered, as he felt the blood from his insides trickling down the sides of his now weakened body.
"Haaaa…Look…We don't want to have to kill anyone else Alex…I wonder if we should send a letter to that burrowing owl…Siax? Is it?" Fred snarled evilly, as he pointed his machete at him again.
"You…Wouldn't…Dare! Ahhhh…" Alex winced as he felt very lightheaded from all the blood that he had lost.
"Try me!" Fred replied with an evil grin.
"MASTER!"
The hybrid macaw spun around to face the voice, and it appeared to have come from Olga. Who was really excited to tell him what she had found.
"Why do you look so happy? Did you find the keys?"
"No master! I found three items that are so much better!" Olga beamed as she looked really proud of herself.
"Well then? Aren't you going to grab them for me?" Fred asked angrily, losing his temper was something he didn't intend on doing in front of his associate.
"I would master…but if I touch it…I could die. If you get what I mean?" She replied with a playful wink.
This only meant one thing in his eyes…
"The staff…Of Jair? The cubes of Devine and Devil Darkness?! You found them?!" The evil macaw laughed triumphantly and ran over to where she stood.
In a tight space that was hidden between two curtains…his smile had grown and his eyes lit up in bewilderment. Because there sitting in between them…was the staff of Jair. And besides it, were both of the cubes. He was incredibly overwhelmed with excitement.
"YES! THIS IS IT OLGA! THIS IS OUR SALVATION!" Fred screamed in a thunderous tone. Twirling the staff around in his wing, feeling the power of the staff course through his veins. As white streams of energy began to light up his feathers as he laid his wings upon it. "Yes…YES! I CAN FEEL THE POWER OF JAIR!"
Let's Briefly Cut To Team Samba Club…
The skies of the sunny country of Mexico began to change into a thick sea of darkness and thunderstorms. That filled the city with pain and misery…rain began to fall at a rapid pace. So heavy…that the locals felt like it was dragging them down to earth.
"Mentor?! What's happening?!" Jameson pondered in concern as he too noticed that the clouds were starting to turn a dark black colour. Making it incredibly difficult to see properly as the rain came pouring down.
"I'm…I'm not sure? I've never seen this before?" RDJ replied, looking up at the sky. Feeling slightly curious about the change in colour.
Now We Briefly Cut Back To Fred…
"Hahahahaha! Ahhhh…finally! Now…I wonder what will happen if I do…this?" Fred spoke in a sadistic way. As he picked up both cubes in his wings, and attached the two of them on either side of the staff. Causing something else horrific to occur.
Now Back To The Samba Birds…
(Ughhhh…Ooooh…Jameson…I…I don't feel so good…)
Devil Darkness suddenly felt really faint inside of the black owl male. So faint, that Jameson barely even felt his presence at this moment in time.
"DD?! What's wrong? Are you okay?!" Jaime asked him fearfully, as he saw Jameson drop to his knees briefly.
(I…I feel…Really weak…Someone…Attached my cube to the staff…)
"Really? What happens if it is?"
(I lose my powers! If I want to survive…I have to leave your body Jameson…)
"What?! No! I need you buddy! We still haven't defeated The Destroyer yet?!" Jameson spoke up. Definitely feeling like something wasn't quite right.
"That's weird? If you my are feeling this way, then how comes…" Jacqueline was just about to chime in herself, but someone else now decided to cut her off.
(Ooooh god…Owww…I…I feel it too…)
Devine now felt suddenly faint, and Gabriel dropped down to her knees. RDJ was trying to piece things together as to why this was happening. And he couldn't come up with an answer fast enough.
"Why is this happening?! I don't understand? If you are feeling faint…and DD is feeling faint…that could only mean that…Wait…" The head of the assassins paused only briefly. As he had an idea hit his brain. "No…FRED!"
RDJ quickly shot up from the ground and flew away in the opposite direction to find the pyramid.
"WAIT! MENTOR!" Monifa instantly followed him for extra backup, and tried to keep up with him as best she could. Which wasn't very difficult for her, due to his much older age.
Everyone else turned around to face each other in concern, then instead of following the duo back. They decided to stick to their current routine and get all the children and families to safety.
But unbeknownst to the lot of them…nothing could prepare them for what they were about to experience when heading back to the base of operations.
Now I know that you guys were expecting something a little less dark…but let's be honest, it only gets darker from here! I won't leave too many notes because I want all of you to enjoy the chapter and I'll see all of you soon for the next one! See you soon!
