As expecting, the Dark Matter had to endure rough training. For Lord Zero, he would always attack using his own blood. There would be moments where the blood almost burned the Dark Matter, but thankfully it wouldn't take long for Lord Zero to tire himself out. training with him was like playing with fire.

Meanwhile, Lord Miracle took on a different approach. He would always start off as a rock that would roll into the Dark Matter. After that, the ability he'd use would be random. He would either turn into a block of ice, a ball of fire, or a ball of electricity.

Of course, despite their attempts to help, nothing seemed to be working. The Dark Matter laid down in his nest, he'd wished that Brother would come back soon. He was probably having the time of his life out there, exploring all kinds of worlds and seeing all kinds of treasures.

...The Dark Matter shook his head, he shouldn't get too excited. Besides, he didn't want Lord Zero to yell at him before training started. He flew out of his nest and began to fly. He flew by his siblings' nests, he could hear them whisper behind the Dark Matter's back. It was just a normal day, or at least that's what the Dark Matter hoped would be the case.

He continued to fly until he felt someone tackle him. It was a sibling. It was older than the Dark Matter, yet they still didn't have a Blade form yet.

"Oh dear, looks like your big brother still isn't here to protect you, is he?" another sibling said bitterly. The Dark Matter shuddered at their harsh tone, it was the Dark Matter with the boomerang.

"What's this? Are you scared?" another sibling teased. "But the other defect was alone all the time, did you think he had someone to protect HIM when he was your age?"

"Anyway, we've seen that you've been training with Lord Zero these past few days," said another sibling. He shifted into Blade form and summoned a hammer. "So let''s see for ourselves how much you've gotten better."

The Dark Matter was struck by the hammer before he had time to react, it didn't take long for his other siblings to start attacking him as well. He could feel every cut, every strike, and every shock that his siblings would give him. The ones that DIDN'T attack him simply watched as if they were all putting on some kind of twisted show.

"What's this? Are we crying, now?" asked the sibling wielding his hammer. The Dark Matter hadn't noticed, but tears were coming out of his eyes. There was so much pain coursing through his body that he couldn't stop crying.

"Well, we can't have that!" another sibling said eerily. "You knows what happens to those who cry, don't you?"

The Dark Matter braced himself as his siblings prepared to attack again. They weren't going to let him go anytime soon. Once his siblings had their fun, the Dark Matter laid across the ground covered in cuts and bruises.

...The Siblings stopped what they were doing and quickly flew back to their nests, it was as if someone had yelled at them for what they did. The Dark Matter tried to leave as well, but he was in so much pain that crawling seemed impossible. He needed help, he needed to get out of here!

"Pathetic, you can't even defend yourself from your own kind!" Lord Zero said bitterly as he loomed over the Dark Matter. He looked as if he was ready to hurt someone, whether it be the Dark Matter himself or any of his siblings.

"Though I understand that you are new to training, you must understand that we cannot have someone like you lag behind us all the time. Had they been like the Fairies I've told you about, then you would've been dead!"

The Dark Matter let out a pained sigh, the last thing he needed right now was to be scolded by his creator of all people. And for what? Getting attacked?

"...You can't move very far, can you? I suppose the least I could do is bring you back to your nest!"

With that said, Lord Zero brought the Dark Matter onto his back and took him back. The Dark Matter tried to wipe off the dried tears on his face, he hoped that Lord Zero wasn't too angry with him, though the anger he felt from his creator suggested otherwise.

"Little one, are you there?"

The Dark Matter peaked out of the nest, he could see some of Lord Miracle's eyes stare back at him. Whatever it was, the Dark Matter wasn't interested in getting scolded right now.

"Hey, it's all right, Little One. We're not angry with you!" Lord Miracle told him. "And though we can't say the same for Brother, he at least understands what happened."

Did he really? Or was Lord Miracle only saying that? Either way, it seemed like he was thinking of something. He was silent for what seemed like an eternity. He looked as if he had stars in his eyes once an idea popped up in his head.

"All right, so Brother and I agree that it may be best to hold off on training until you recover. Mystery Matter's mission should be finished by now, meaning that you'll finally be able to see your brother soon."

That was a relief to hear, but what about the other siblings that attacked the Dark Matter? Since he wasn't connected to them, he might not even know what had happened. The Dark Matter attempted to crawl towards Lord Miracle, but he winced as the pain emerged from his body yet again.

"Easy, Little One." Lord Miracle said reassuringly. "Just rest until your brother gets back, OK?"

The Dark Matter let out a sigh as he reluctantly nodded. As much as he hated to admit it, there wasn't much that he could do. With that in mind, he laid flat against the nest and began to doze off. He wished the pain would go away once he woke up, though he knew that wasn't going to be the case.

"Brother, I'm back!"

The Dark Matter opened his eyes upon hearing his brother's quiet voice. Brother was quiet in general, but this was a different kind of quiet. It was the kind where one would hold their own emotions back like Brother tended to do, and the Dark Matter couldn't tell what emotions his brother was feeling right now.

"I...I see that you haven't had the best experience without me here this time, are you all right?"

The Dark Matter sat up slowly, there was a tired look in his eyes. The pain still lingered, but he was fine now that his brother was actually here.

"I apologize for not bringing any treasures with me, Mystery wouldn't allow it this time." Brother said as he sat beside the Dark Matter. "We'll just...keep going as if I'd never left, does that sound good to you?"

The Dark Matter nodded as he lied back down. He wouldn't be able to do much training anyway, but hopefully this meant that his siblings wouldn't do this again.

Right before the Dark Matter dozed off, Brother lied down next to him and brought him close to his chest. It was as if Brother was worried about losing the Dark Matter.

Right now, the Dark Matter was uncertain on how things would go, whether he would be able to succeed in his training or be able to please Lord Zero in any way possible. But for now, even if he couldn't do much about it, the Dark Matter just wanted his brother to be happy.
