"Salutations my fellow Team Leaders! I hereby call this ninth meeting of the Beacon Leadership Council to order! I'll start with a simple roll-call! Izuku Midoriya, Leader of Team MNVW?"
I'm here Tenya."
"Very good! Ruby Rose, Leader of Team RSBR?"
"Yo, let's go!"
"Excellent! Coco Adel, Leader of Team CFVY?"
"Hello!"
"Magnificent! Mirio Togata, Leader of Team MHA?"
"I'm here and I'm ready to Council in Leadership!"
"Wonderful! Obviously, I, Tenya Iida, Leader of Team TABY, am present and accounted for! This meeting may therefore come to order!"
The five leaders sat among themselves, lightly chatting as they all prepared to dig into both their food and the business of today's club meeting. As the week after the break had passed and they all settled back into their routines, the excited rush of conversation had dipped into some lighter fair as they all discussed this and that before getting to work.
"Yeah, the time in between the major break of a semester and the big vacation at the end of it is when things tend to get quiet; you newbies have spent enough time around the school to get well and truly acclimated and most everyone who has some bullshit point to prove has either cooled their heels or they've gotten stomped into the dirt enough to know their place," Coco commented idly as she spoke around a bite of food, Mirio nodding in agreement as he smiled over at Coco, giving the rest of them all a grin.
"Indeed, and Coco would-"
"Uh, anyway! Speaking off, how 'are' you guys doing? I've heard that you guys have been having trouble with a team or two making a bunch of noise in that year, like those douches that tried to bully Velvet. Things finally settling down because, after the bathroom incident, it seems like your year has finally settled down." The three younger leaders blinked as Coco spoke up before nearly slapped herself on the forehead.
"My goodness! I've been so wrapped up in... things, that I've barely thought about Winchester and his band in these past couple weeks!" The rest of them nodded, Ruby munching on a cookie as she did so.
"Well, I'm not surprised. Kacchan beat them up good and after what Deku pulled with that whole investigation thing, I'm sure they're feelin' pretty bad about themselves. Who knows, maybe they've grown up and they're looking to turn over a new leaf?"
"Eh, it wouldn't be the weirdest thing I've ever heard. There are a lot of kids who mess up once and then don't really make trouble again. Most of them were the top dogs at their old Combat Schools so it takes a while for them to learn the new pecking order, especially if it's among their year. You can be the best in some humdrum Combat School out there somewhere and then come to Beacon only to find yourself completely outclassed by people in your year. It happens... didn't happen to me, but I've heard it happens." Mirio chuckled at that as he nodded.
"I had a somewhat rough going of it even coming into Beacon so I can't say that I share Coco's perspective, but she's not lying; she was pretty much at the top of the ladder in the First Year. Really stood out in a lot of ways." At that Coco laughed, looking off to the side as she grinned.
"Well... they haven't said or done anything since then so I guess that's the case. They must've learned their lesson." Izuku smiled at that, nodding his head. Honestly, he'd never really wanted trouble at Beacon at the first place. If it was up to Izuku, he'd get along with just about everyone possible. Izuku didn't want conflict with Cardin's team but, well, their choices made that a little bit difficult, seeing as how it involved his friends or his sort of but in a weird place friends like Bakugou. To have that be over and to maybe be able to start somewhere fresh with them would be a great thing as far as Izuku was concerned.
"Well, in any case, it's good news one way or the other. For now, let's just get to club business for today! I imagine we all have a little bit of what we want to do lined up so let's get to it." Tenya gestured wildly as he spoke, everyone nodding along with the blue-haired young man as they all quickly put forward suggestions for what to get up to at the day's meeting.
xXxXxXxXxXx
"Alright so... uh... hmmm... so you're in the movie theater and suddenly a couple talking on their Scrolls ends up sitting in front of you. When the lights go dark and the movie starts they still don't turn off their Scrolls and they keep talking. What do you say to get them to stop?"
"Uh... uh... please put your phones down, we're trying to watch a movie?" Ruby spoke somewhat softly, causing Izuku to chuckle a little.
"Ruby, there aren't any actual strangers here, you can try to be more confident in how you say it!"
"I know, I know, but that's how I'd want to say it. I wouldn't want them to get angry and I'm doing my best to be polite! I've seen Yang start a lot of fights with people like this at the movies and it always ends with soda getting in my hair somehow and then Yang gets even madder and then the whole evening just spirals out of control!" Ruby wined slightly as Tenya nodded understandingly, taking a moment to readjust his spectacles.
"Still Ruby, you can afford to be a little more assertive. Like so: excuse me, fellow movie-goers! On behalf of everyone else attending this film, I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to put your Scrolls away and cease your chatter. We have all paid good money to watch this movie and I'm afraid your distracting conversation will take away from the viewing pleasure of everyone else in the theater! Please be considerate of other people!"
"... You know it's funny, aside from Tenya's gestures that's exactly what's on the card." As part of their efforts to train up their people skills with the rest of their friends Izuku'd taken to reading off some situation cards that provided an appropriate response to a given situation. Tenya usually had a good grasp on the mechanics, but his delivery was usually pretty wooden or a little too forceful, while Ruby seemed more concerned with being rude herself rather than being diplomatic. Izuku was doing alright by his judgment, but it was still definitely helpful...
More helpful for some in particular, it seemed.
"Someone has pulled their car up behind you and honked their horn while you're waiting for some pedestrians to pass at a crosswalk. What do you say, Coco?" Coco hummed for a moment, before a grin formed on her face.
"I roll down my window and I tell the jack off behind me to calm his tits so that these people can get by!" Mirio's expression folded slightly into an even, thin line as he reached his finger up to his mouth, humming ever so slightly as he looked down at the card in his hand. "... Not even close, right?"
"It isn't... but you know what, I appreciate your gusto in maintaining the right of pedestrians to pass before you or others Coco, so you're doing your best!" Mirio's expression immediately turned back into that grin of his, Coco just sighing as she palmed her face, looking down to the side.
"Thanks, Mirio but I'm pretty sure that's not the point of this exercise we're doing..." Coco muttered slightly as Mirio just continued to encourage Coco to try again, the enthusiasm shown just seeming to make Coco chuckle nervously. The three younger leaders watch the display with some amusement, Ruby shrugging her shoulders as she placed her hands on her hips.
"Wow, what do you know; I guess seniors can have seniors too."
"So it seems Ruby, so it seems." With that Tenya took a look at his Scroll, blinking in surprise as he did so. "Goodness, would you look at the time? Seems as though we're done for the evening." Everyone did seem genuinely surprised at that, though Coco addressed it with some of her dry wit.
"Wow, it wasn't even that late when we started this... I guess time really does fly when you're mindlessly giving answers to a card." Mirio chuckled slightly as he scratched the back of his head.
"Yeah, this was a little bit dull, but it was probably the best way to go about practicing this!" His enthusiasm proved infectious, perhaps that had been the source of time flying by so fast, as they all chated on their way out of the club room.
"I hereby call this meeting of the Beacon Leadership Council to a close! Goodnight everyone!"
xXxXxXxXxXx
"Very good then, the next round has been decided! Izuku Midoriya and Pyrrha Nikos shall be your challengers-"
"Woooo!" Everyone flinched a little bit as a loud, boisterous cheer rang out in the row of seats that surrounded the little combat arena that had been used for student spars. In a small crowd of four students, three of whom were palming their faces, one girl was standing up and pumping her fists, the loud boisterous cheers coming from her as she gave a loud, crowing laugh. The girl's shoulder-length, hot pink hair done up in a ponytail swung about as she continued to pump her fists. "Fantastic! You mean we get to beat up on Nikos of all people, the Invincible Girl? Count me the fuck in!"
"Honestly, one would think you were raised in a barn..." One of the other girls on the team muttered, her legs crossed in a rather brusque manner. The last member, a rather handsome, square-jawed young man just chuckled while the girl's partner, presumably, finally stood up as well.
"Would you please stop jumping around and get moving?" The young woman spoke in a calm, even tone as she walked out towards the exit of the room, a rather large, almost comically so, hat almost covering the entirety of her deep, dark blue hair. Afterward, the other girl just grinned as she shrugged, following her partner very quickly.
"... Oh this is going to be fun..." Pyrrha muttered, almost tiredly, as she heaved a sigh. "I'm not quite sure what I tend to find more annoying; people who want to get to know me just because I'm famous, or people who know I'm famous and want to take a swing at me." All their other friends nodded as Pyrrha stood up, her eyes betraying a certain something that Izuku quite couldn't place…
"Well, let's not leave them waiting Izuku... Izuku?" Pyrrha turned her head down toward Izuku, a slightly vacant expression on his face as he heaved a sigh.
"They didn't even mention me..." Pyrrha seemed to blank for a second before a small grin emerged on her face and she offered a slight chuckle and a reassuring pat on his shoulder before hefting him up, the pair of them immediately making their way towards the locker room themselves to get changed into their fighting gear. By the time they arrived the two young women they were set to face had already left, their enthusiasm, or in the other's case her rush to get that enthusiasm over and done with, having hastened their steps. By the time Pyrrha was all armed and ready to go and Izuku had Emerald Gust on his hands and feet, they both departed for the arena. Toward the center of it, Pinky was already started hopping around in place, some light exercise to get her blood pumping. On the ground in front of her were two... well, Izuku could only think to call them giant, metal 'bricks', with bits and bobs of various colors along with several valves mechanical equipment disturbing the brick-like shape. On the girl's shoulders and running up her arms seemed to be some big old metal shoulder guards which were extending from them some mechanical bits, all connected to a large...
'Uh...back generator? I guess? It looks like it will be running on some amount of Dust at least.'
The other one was a ways away from her, a... oh Gods, a sniper rifle in hand as she has a few metal beartraps hanging from her hip. Jeez, if it weren't for the fact that one of Izuku's good friends used a Sniper Rifle for a weapon, Izuku'd swear that he was sick of seeing them at that point. The fact that this sniper also had on her bear traps of all things was even more cause for concern, as was an odd pistol she kept to her side.
"Alright, bought time you two got here! Give me a second, wouldja?" Izuku and Pyrrha blinked, surprised that she hadn't already gotten ready by that point. They watched as the girl pulled her scroll out from her pocket with one hand and, to their surprise, shoved her other hand into the corresponding brick. The mechanisms that had trailed along the girl's arm sunk into corresponding ports on the brick, sinking into them and creating a sort of 'locking' sound. Immediately the various electronic and mechanical bits of the brick whirred to life and they watched as it mechashifted; unfolding form its purely square configuration into something that...
'Oh Gods, it's a giant fist.'
The girl just grinned as she finally finished fiddling with her Scroll, slipping it into the underside of her activated gauntlet before slipping her remaining hand into the other. Once both were active the girl brought them up, flexed the fingers a bit, and then laughed as she slammed one fist into the other's open palm.
"That's it! Gonna be giving 100% today!"
"... So why did you need to fiddle with your Scroll?" Izuku curse, wondering why 'that', of all things, was the question he thought to ask.
"Oh? Well, I didn't need to. I was just setting up my tunes!" The other girl just sighed as she shook her head, all the while the pink-haired girl just tapped away before a loud song started to blare from her Scroll. Glynda just rubbed the bridge of her nose, a quiet muttering of 'I don't get paid enough to deal with this' heard just before the song started in force.
Immediately, as Glynda raised her hand all four of them tensed as they all got ready for the call.
'Am I ready for this?' he thought, looking at the two general unknowns in front of him, a small panic building in his gut, 'Think, we need a plan.'
"Pyrrha, listen." Pyrrha looked over at him, blinking somewhat as he kept himself focused. "I need you to cover me for a second. just keep both of their attention on you while I focus, alright? When I'm ready to go... I think the fist girl's going to try and rush us so she'll be in a good position for us to use Autumn Bell on her. I need some time to get ready though..." Pyrrha blinked slightly, before giving a slight 'oh'.
"Does this involve this new move Nora's been talking about? 'Full Cowl'?" Izuku nodded at that, clenching his fists as he began to draw up 5% of One For All into his being.
"It does. I just need you to cover me while I activate it. After that, we can start taking her apart and then move on to her partner. Sound good?" Izuku asked, not waiting for her answer as he prepared the might of Full Cowl. Pyrrha, on the other hand, just nodded with a smile.
"Of course, sounds good to me Izuku." With that the fight began in earnest; going with his request Pyrrha immediately moved in front of him, shield raised and sword at the ready as she took up a defensive stance. As she did so, the bombastic girl just gave a few chuckles as she brought those massive fists together.
"Aw, coverin' for the little guy huh? That's a real team-ly thing to do there, Nikos. Yo stiff, hang back and take your shots, I'm gonna go teach the Invincible Girl what it really means to be 'invincible'." The sniper, eyes rolling from beneath her quite large hat, just took a few steps back as she prepared her bear traps.
"Don't get too confident now... she earned that reputation for a reason." The calm and collected nature of tone seemed to fail to pierce the punk's demeanor, the brawler wanting a good fight as she pounded those giant fists together.
"Yeah, yeah, sure, sure. Now, if you'll excuse me." At that, the various mechanisms on the brawler's gauntlets seemed to whir to full life, the energy pack on her back began to glow and hum. Just as Izuku thought, the pink-haired girl 'immediately' charged in with her fist reared back, seemingly ready to try to strike out at Pyrrha. Pyrrha made ready to defend herself, her shield raising slightly... only for their opponent to throw the punch way early... no, it wasn't a thrown punch.
It was a feint!
"Here comes the punchline, red!" Immediately, the punk started throwing a wild series of blows at Pyrrha, wild seemed to be a very apt description as most of them seemed easy as could be for Pyrrha to avoid just by stepping out of the way. What one blow seemed to be on track to strike Pyrrha, and it was just one punch, Pyrrha moved her shield to intercept, letting it bang against the face of her shield as she grunted from the effort of resisting the force of the blow.
That grunt grew even louder when, instead of just backing off altogether, the brawler reared back fists back while Pyrrha's footing was locked into her blocking position. With a loud shout she drove both fists into the face of Pyrrha's shield, Izuku's partner crying out in surprise as her arm was thrown off to the side, exposing her neatly. If things had been left to their own devices, Izuku had no doubt that the punk and the sniper would start shooting and going for blows in the next few seconds...
It was a good thing that he was ready.
"5% Full Cowl!" With a shout Izuku flexed his entire body at once, feeling the energy of One For All pour into every muscle, into every fiber of his being. His skin went gold with its glow and his eyes shone, the sparks of green electricity skittering about as he looked at his partner who seemed just as surprised by the sudden show as both of their opponents and most of the audience. "Pyrrha, Autumn Bell!"
"Autumn wha-" The brawler was cut off as, immediately, Izuku and Pyrrha got into position, hours upon hours of practicing the maneuver paying off their dividends as the both of them flank her from both sides. The brawler ground her teeth together as she saw the sudden maneuver and as Izuku and Pyrrha swung for her, Izuku with a Smash empowered fist and Pyrrha with her shield. The pink-haired punk tried her best to duck out of the way but, sadly for her, Pyrrha's shield hit the back of her head first, forcing her toward his fist.
"Beacon... SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!"
*GONG*
Pyrrha's shield rang out like a loud gong as the force of his smash impacted the girl's face and then drove her head against Akoúo̱. The force of his punch, by far, benefited the most from being able to smash the gauntlet-wearing brawler's head against the shield... especially as it seemed the rest of his Smash managed to inconvenienced Pyrrha even more than Vi. As his Smash passed into a shockwave-
"AH!" He watched in surprise as Pyrrha was blown away by the force of it, the brawler teetering on her feet as one of her massive fists reached up in a facsimile of grabbing her head. Pyrrha did manage a quick flip through the air to stop her momentum, however, only being blown a few yards away from Izuku and their opponent as Izuku grimaced.
"I'm sorry!" He cried out Pyrrha's usual catchphrase, the young woman shaking off the sudden hit as she looked at him understandingly.
"It's-AH!"
A loud crack erupted in the air as Pyrrha immediately ducked in response, a bullet flying through the air in the spot where she had been as both looked nervously over at the sniper's frowning visage as she quickly loaded in another round.
"We need to finish this now Pyrrha, Autumn Bell again!" Pyrrha just nodded as, again, they both went straight for the punk... only without his Smash. No sense in accidentally blowing Pyrrha away during the maneuver.
"Ah... jeez... anyone catch the license plate on that tru-"
*GONG*
His fist drove Vi's head into Pyrrha's incoming shield bash, both meeting nearly in the middle as the raucous, ringing sound again erupts from Pyrrha's shield. Izuku felt the punk's nose erupt as a small amount of blood flew from it, the brawler coughing slightly as it seemed they'd managed to very slightly break her nose. Nothing a quick turn and pop won't put back into place but still, ouch.
With the punk's Aura in the red, Glynda immediately declared her knocked out of the fight as she snapped her riding crop, the energy of her Semblance having surrounded the girl before bodily picking her up. The sniper, having seen all that, curiously tapped her fingers against her sniper rifle in thought, before she kneeled down close to the ground. She seemed to just be getting ready for the both of them to approach.
Izuku was all too eager to oblige. Immediately he broke into a sprint, making a mad dash for the blue-haired girl as he looked to close the distance between the two of them. As part of that, he bent his legs and launch himself off the ground in a tremendous leap, looking to avoid her bear traps altogether. That, however, wouldn't have been good enough on its own to cover all that ground...
"Patch... SMAAAAAAAASH!"
Everyone gasped as the energy of One For All pumps itself into his legs and, with a powerful kick mid-air, he blasted forth a shockwave that allowed him to carry even further. The force of the shockwave was almost enough to send him teetering head over feet, the surge of power putting Izuku into a near spin. However, he turned into that spin, breaking the energy with a few flips before Izuku managed to right himself in mid-air, heading right for the sniper...
Though that didn't immediately seem so great when she suddenly pulled off the gun at her side and-
'HOLY WOAH A BEAR NET?!'
Yes, from the gun that the sniper aimed at Izuku. a tremendous net made for a fully grown bear was launched, spreading out and open as it soared through the air to meet him. Izuku grit his teeth as he bent and adjusted his body, looking to avoid the attack as best he could... it was close, it was real close, but he barely managed to narrowly avoid the net as he quickly added to the force of his spin mid-air with a bit of Aura. Which caused the calm sniper no small amount of distress as he managed to land right in front of her, with Pyrrha quickly following behind Izuku. He immediately rushed in for a series of punches and, Izuku had to admit, the girl turned out to be pretty light on her feet; she ducked and dodged out of the way of a few but, importantly for him...
"BEACON SMAAAAAAAAASH!" Izuku drove a Smash empowered fist into her gut, the energy concentrating before erupting out into a shockwave which sent the sniper flying. As she skid across the ground and eventually came to a halt as Izuku watched as Pyrrha finished mechashifting Miló. With only a split second to aim Pyrrha took the shot, the bullet landing neatly in their opponent's side. Her Aura absorbed the hit entirely but it was quite clear that she was hurting.
"If either of you two were to land another such blow on her, she'd face the possibility of serious injury. I'm calling this: the winner of this partner bout is Izuku Midoriya and Pyrrha Nikos." Yeah, Izuku expected as much. Judging by how low her Aura was one more shot from Pyrrha or one punch from Izuku really just might pierce it. Better to be safe than sorry. Still, after the crowd took a moment to recover from the sight of his Patch Smash, something even Pyrrha seemed really surprised by, a quick round of applause, the loudest coming from their circle of friends, erupted. Izuku smiled as he deactivated Emerald Gust and Pyrrha put her own weapons away, the two of them standing side by side as he raised his arms in victory.
E/N: Short but the various Outtakes I would use to fill it up were either not yet usable, or tentatively reserved for other uses. I did consider simply skipping these two events, but keeping the partner battle with Pyrrha felt important for that relationship, So The BLC got a free pass.

a/n: To a lot of folks, the reference in the 2v2 fight is probably going to be pretty obvious. In the actual Quest Thread on Spacebattles the names of these characters actually tends to be thrown around due to the more game-y nature of a Play-By-Post making the line between fun reference and actual plot point easier to dissect. Here, I scrubbed all the direct references to their names in order to keep it just keep it a vague referenced used to fill out a neat fight.
