Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Ghost and Angel. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Overwatch; Blizzard and a few others do.

Every soldier had a story to tell. They all comparatively pitched into the entire conflict if one was brewing which was partly what fueled the conflict on either side.

When Blackwatch and its sister organization: Overwatch, collapsed into nothing? The groups went their own ways. Many of them did things like kill, kidnap, smuggle, surveillance. Dozens of these soldiers had gone their own ways, many falling into Talon's ranks.

"Damn it…" He said as he slowly trudged forward.

One of these soldiers had fallen into the ranks of the Junkers, he didn't hate the Omnics, but he felt like the Junkers didn't deserve the exile into the wastelands. Their desire to destroy the rest of the continent which caused him to pause.

"Oy…" He said as he pulled his ragged cloak over his sun scorched head at the moment.

He knew for a fact that things were different. Most Blackwatch agents had far darker views on morality. He was… Different. He had known for a fact that some horrid deeds had to be done for the greater good.

Aadne was his name. He found it far more amusing that it translated to eagle, the bird of the country that stood for freedom… Something that had been mocked by his former teammates when he worked for the organization.

"What is the price of peace?" Aadne questioned as he sighed and took a breath from the mask he wore on his face.

The outlands were irritated. Somewhere where almost nobody survived unless you were good at surviving in the rubble and dust…. Something that a Blackwatch soldier was very good at.

"Where is everything?" Aadne asked as he blinked and looked up at the side. "Why are things so screwed up?" Aadne questioned for a second.

He knew that something was going to happen. He wore a Blackwatch helmet that filtered out the toxic air and radiation. Aadne knew more than anything that the Junkers were NOT a group he wanted to stay with. Aadne would admit to a LOT of nasty work in the past for the greater good, but this? Destroying the entire country was terrorism, there was never going to be an argument that made him ok with that when it came down to it.

"Ugh…." Aadne muttered as he brought a hand up to his helmet as he took a deep breath from the air intake.

There was a pause as an explosion occurred in the distance. He knew for a fact that it was the Junkers, there was nobody willing to hurt the ones here besides them… Even if the dust settled and the war was over for a LONG time when it came down to it.

Aadne cracked his fingers and then leapt off the stone wall towards the ground as he landed in a crouch. He drew his Blackwatch shotgun and checked the ammo, a handful of shells which had been standard issue… Long before they had been disbanded as an organization and such.

Aadne was quite curious as to what had brought them here. There was nothing here for them when it came down to it. Still? Aadne was going to investigate it even if he was a soldier that no longer had a war to fight or an army to behold himself to.

"Damn it, why am I feeling woozy?" Aadne asked as he slowly started to fall to the ground, clutching at his helmet as he collapsed to the ground.

He watched his suit flash dozens of warnings. He didn't see that the armor had been damaged. There was no external damage that he could see as he gasped for breath. Aadne was scared, he started to see darkness set in as the radiation started to break into his helmet.

Aadne didn't hear the sound of someone descending towards him. There was a voice that he had heard before that made him curious about where he had remembered from somewhere before. The wash of yellow light bathed his body at the moment.

Aadne turned to see someone was standing over him. It made him curious as to who would bother saving him at the moment. Who cared about him enough to actually risk their neck for him here?
