I want to remind readers that I'm using my idea for the Pig miraculous in the chapter. Also, an original akuma because Mr. Damocles's hands were injured in the last chapter.

It was a beautiful day in Paris. Marinette was on a walk looking for inspiration for a commission she had received. A customer had asked for a new sun hat.

Of course, the hat had to have unique features to make it stand out. Marinette paused at a street corner and looked around. None of the buildings or streets brought inspiration to her.

"This is going to be a lot harder than I thought," Marinette told Tikki and Holly. "I wish the client had been more specific than something unique and eye-popping."

"Remember Marinette, not everyone has your creative mind. What they see in their minds can be too hard to put into words," Tikki stated.

"I know whoever is your customer believes in you. To specifically ask you for a commission is a sign of devotion," Holly added.

Marinette flushed at the praise. Then she heard some commotion. Looking across the street, she saw that her principal had fallen onto the sidewalk. With his damaged hands, he couldn't push himself up.

She was about to go over to help him up when a fake Ladybug appeared. "Don't worry, Mr. Damocles! I've got you!"

The man reached for her and the fake Ladybug grabbed his hand. Without magical strength, she struggled to get him to his feet due to his weight.

Finally, Mr. Damocles was back on his feet. "Thank you for your assistance, Ladybug."

The fake smiled and replied, "Just doing my job! Have a nice day!" The fake spun on her heels. She was dusting herself off when she caught sight of Marinette.

The fake's expression changed to one of panic. She took off running in the direction of the thirteenth arrondissement. Mr. Damocles also disappeared quickly after realizing a student at his school saw the embarrassing rescue.

Marinette blinked several times. "Okay, that was peculiar."

"It sure was. Whoever the fake Ladybug was we need to convince her to stop what she's doing. Otherwise, Monarch may come after her thinking she's the real Ladybug," Tikki insisted.

"How are we supposed to find her? There must be hundreds of girls who cosplay as Ladybug," Holly pointed out.

"I have a real good idea who that was. At least I have an excuse to see her now. I better get my scooter."

About fifteen minutes later, Marinette was driving her scooter towards the thirteenth arrondissement. The two Kwamiis were wondering who Marinette was planning on seeing.

A short time later, Marinette entered a cozy arts and crafts store. There was a girl at the counter who looked remarkably similar to Marinette. Tikki, who was peeking out of the purse was astonished by the resemblance.

This girl was also French/Chinese with dark hair and blue eyes. The difference was this girl's hair had bangs and fringe in the front and two ponytails in the back

She also wore black rectangular glasses and she appeared to be half an inch taller than Marinette. She was wearing pink pants, a black shirt with a red and black collar, along with tennis shoes.

"Welcome to…oh Marinette! It's been a while, hasn't it?" the girl queried nervously.

"I know, Socqueline. I should have made more of an effort to see you after you graduated from my school. You know how difficult the final year of college is."

Socqueline pretended to shiver as she dramatically talked about how tough her final year was. "How are things at Francois-Dupont? Is Chloe still bullying you?"

Marinette shook her head and mentioned that Chloe had turned over a new leaf. The older girl raised an eyebrow at that asking for proof. Marinette showed Socqueline a photo on her phone of Chloe and her sister Zoe.

"What do you know? Miracles do happen. Next, you're going to tell me that Ms. Bustier isn't being an enabler anymore," Socqueline chirped.

"She's become stricter and is trying hard not to fall into her bad habits. I would say she's halfway through changing her class management skills."

Socqueline joked she should have graduated earlier if her leaving the school was the reason for the change. The two girls giggled before the older girl showed Marinette her new accessory.

"It's called an Alliance ring. It's beyond super and has a lot of different features. Watch this," Socqueline said. She pressed the ring to her shirt and requested the ring change the color of her shirt.

Marinette was astonished when the black shirt became red. "How in the world does it do that?"

"Neat, huh? The ring changes the color wavelength so it becomes another color. It also can help remove stains by isolating the area of the fabric before issuing instructions on how to pretreat."

"That would be pretty handy," Marinette remarked. Her friend beamed and then showed her the ring's user AI. When she saw who it was, she finally understood what her boyfriend meant by him being everywhere at once.

"So that's what Adrien was talking about. Is he the AI on all of them?"

"No, you can choose between him and a girl called Kagami. It's still amazing to have Adrien show up whenever I want. Though I'm admittedly jealous you get the real deal."

Marinette flushed profusely. "It is nice to be his girlfriend, but believe me it comes with a host of problems. Namely, trying to make a name for myself. I don't want to be known as Adrien Agreste's girlfriend forever."

The high school girl admitted that would be a challenge. She then asked why Marinette had stopped by.

"I was looking for inspiration for a commission I have to do. They want a sunhat but it has to be unique and eye-popping. I thought I come by and pick up different supplies to help me figure out what to do."

"I'll be glad to help you. While you're here, do you want to pick up some paint for your mom's art class?"

Marinette did and remarked what a coincidence it was that her mother's paint colors could be used to make a spotted mask similar to Ladybug's. Socqueline flinched slightly.

"By the way, I saw Ladybug earlier. She was helping Mr. Damocles up after he fell. Funny, I've never seen her struggle with helping a person up."

She tapped her chin before adding, "I'm also curious why she ran off instead of swinging away."

Again, Socqueline flinched. She was obviously uncomfortable with the situation. "Maybe she lost her yo-yo. I'm sure even heroes misplace things."

Marinette held up her hand before telling her friend that she knew it had been her. "I can understand cosplaying as Ladybug can be fun, but you shouldn't be doing it out in the open like that. You don't want Monarch to target you if he thinks you're the real Ladybug."

"By your logic then you should be worried about Monarch targeting you! I mean you look similar to Ladybug as well!" Socqueline snapped. "I'm not doing any harm by helping a few people out!"

Marinette held up her hands defensively. "As all of Paris is aware, he knows I'm not Ladybug because he almost killed me. Socqueline, you can still help people out. You don't need a costume for that."

Her friend protested that it was necessary. "Ladybug needs all the help she can get. After the recent assaults, people need all the hope they can get. So, if pretending to be Ladybug makes people believe in her, then there isn't any harm in it."

"What about your family, Socqueline? Have you thought about their well-being? I'm guessing not because your parents would be giving you the same lecture, I'm giving you now."

Socqueline glared and told Marinette she was overstepping her boundaries. "I think you should leave. You can buy your supplies at another store from now on."

Knowing it was futile to keep talking, Marinette left. She would have to come back as Ladybug later to persuade her friend to stop. "I can't believe she's being stubborn about this."

Tikki said it was common that civilians didn't like being told they couldn't help heroes.

Holly added that she felt that Socqueline was innocent-minded when it came to comprehending the risks of the situation.

Inside the store, Socqueline was forcefully stocking shelves. "Who does Marinette think she is? I'm not hurting anyone! What's wrong about wearing a costume anyway?"

"Joan of Arc was only seventeen when she led the French Army to victory over the English. She wore men's clothes during that time and no one said anything about it!"

In his lair, Monarch's window opened. "The sweet taste of anger towards someone trying to boss you around. I can work with that."

He released his akuma and it flew swiftly toward the store. Socqueline was still angrily stacking shelves. The hand without the ring was touching a package of card stock.

The akuma infected it and Socqueline felt something connect to her brain. "Heroine of Arc, I am Monarch. I can sense your anger and I want to help."

"No, get out of my head! I don't want your help!" the high school girl called out. "I want to help Ladybug defeat you, not join you."

"How are you going to help her if you're forbidden to do so? Ms. Dupain-Cheng could tell your parents or contact Ladybug to have her come to stop you herself."

Socqueline scrunched her eyes closed and tried to move her hand. It felt like it was stuck to the package. "You're twisting things around. I won't help you."

"What about proving to Ladybug you are a true heroine? Then Ladybug wouldn't try to stop you. Why not show Ms. Dupain-Cheng she's wrong about you?"

Socqueline opened her eyes and smiled. Yes, that sounded like an excellent idea. "Make me a heroine, Monarch!"

"Certainly, and I'll bestow upon you the power of Etiquette. No one will be able to ignore your orders." He pressed the ring containing Daizzi's magic and sent it to the girl's Alliance ring.

At the store, Socqueline was engulfed in purplish-black smoke. When it faded away, there was a new Akuma in her place. Her black hair was now short and blond. Her eyes were brown and she didn't need her glasses. Lastly, her skin had tanned.

The Akuma wore a suit of armor that was silver with gold inlay. A short white skirt with a red hem stuck out from the chest plate armor snugly fitting on her hips. She had a sword and stuck the banner of Joan of Arc into the sword's scabbard.

(Basically, she looks like Joan of Arc from Disney+ Night at the Museum 4 movie.).

Heroine of Arc swung her sword as she got a feel for it. "This is a glorious weapon! Ladybug won't be able to say no to me." She felt a surge of power as Daizzi's magic entered her body.

She headed out, prepared to show the world how amazing she was. In his lair, Monarch chuckled. The Ladybug Miraculous would be his by the end of the day.

Marinette was riding back home when a streetlamp came crashing down on the road. Her emergency braking caused her to skid on the road coming to a stop near the base of the downed lamp.

The wires in the base were exposed and sparking widely. Marinette tried to back away only to realize her left foot was stuck under her overturned scooter. A series of sparks started to erupt from the base.

That's when Marinette, found herself being roughly freed from her scooter. The pole of a banner was driven into the base forcing the wires downwards. Marinette was alarmed when she looked up at her "rescuer."

"Socqueline?"

The Akuma raised her sword high. "I no longer answer to that name! I am Heroine of Arc, here to assist Ladybug in protecting the good folk of Paris!"

The civilian Ladybug looked past the Akuma at the downed streetlamp. It had been sliced clean through. The width of the cut was the same as Heroine of Arc's sword. "You sliced the streetlamp purposely so you could "save" me from danger!"

The Akuma glared at her. "How dare you accuse me of such treachery! I am a noble soul on a mission of great importance."

"Creating dangerous situations is not what a noble soul would do."

Heroine of Arc thrust her sword forward until it was under Marinette's chin. "You have no right to judge me! I am a great heroine!"

The sword blade was knocked away from Marinette by Chat Noir's baton. The Akuma looked across the street where the hero was brandishing his weapon at her. "I'm not Ladybug, but threatening civilians doesn't sound very heroic."

Heroine of Arc strolled over until she was about a foot away from Chat Noir. "My Lord, I was merely informing this civilian that she shouldn't accuse me of being deceitful. I am a hero just as you are."

Chat Noir took a step closer. "You are not the same as me. Your powers come from Monarch, who is using you to further his agenda."

The Akuma protested that he was helping her achieve her dream. "Monarch isn't the enemy you think he is."

"I'm afraid I have to disagree. Hand over your item, now!"

Hearing Monarch's voice in her mind telling her that Chat Noir was standing in her way fueled her anger. Raising her sword, she charged. Chat Noir did the same as the two started to duel.

Meanwhile, Marinette had slipped away and transformed. She observed the fight from above, wanting to figure out what the item was before she intervened.

Holly hovered near her. The dove-like kwami felt something was off about this situation. She watched as Chat Noir's extended baton clashed against Heroine of Arc's sword. She focused her attention on the Akuma's hands.

She felt a large concentration of magic emitting from them. Holly opened her mouth to speak only for the Akuma to shove Chat Noir away. "Mannerism! I order you Chat Noir to bring Ladybug to me right now!"

The cat hero struggled against the order, even as his feet started walking in the direction of the bakery. Ladybug jumped into the fray, using her yo-yo to pull her partner back to her.

"Chat Noir brought you to me! Your magic has no hold over him!" she stated confidently. Only a second later having to maneuver out of Chat's reach as he tried to grab her arm.

Heroine of Arc laughed before sneering. "My order was for him to bring you to me, Ladybug. You brought him to yourself. No, he won't stop until he's dragged you right in front of me."

"My Lady, you need to flee. I can't control myself!" Chat Noir wailed as he lunged at her. His lady did a few flips to get out of the way.

"Fight back, Chat Noir!" The heroine looked at the Akuma. "How is this proving you are a good heroine to me?"

The Akuma replied by stating she was showing how far she would go to help people. If it meant telling them what to do for her, so what?

Holly was watching the fight progress. By now, she was confident her "cousin's" magic was being channeled through the Akuma's hands. However, that didn't mean the akumatized object was in her hands.

"Think, she was in her family's craft store. What could she have been touching that could be infected?" Taking another glance at the fight below, she saw Ladybug running up a building with Chat Noir pursuing her.

She quickly twisted her head and saw Heroine of Arc, casually pick up the banner and place it in her scabbard. So that's where the Akuma was. Holly zipped down until she was hovering just behind the Akuma.

"Stop playing around and catch Ladybug! I want to meet her face to face!" the Akuma snapped.

Holding out her paw/hands, Holly whispered, "Angel Wings!" Like Scorppio, her offensive power's name was a bit misnomer. The target didn't get the wings of an angel.

Instead, a little guardian angel would appear on the target's shoulder. As soon as it appeared, the angel would then show the target their personal version of heaven.

The world faded away as the Akuma stood in place as her version of heaven materialized. Heroine of Arc saw herself as a warrior angel, protecting the souls under her watch.

With her memorized, Ladybug was able to call for her Lucky Charm. "What do I need an alarm clock for?" Her special vision highlighted the Akuma, the banner, and Chat Noir, along with the clock.

"Of course! It's so easy! Chat, I need you to bring me to the Akuma!"

Chat thought that's what they were trying to avoid. He did trust his girlfriend to know what she was doing. He seized her and brought her over to Heroine of Arc.

The Akuma came out of her trance and looked pleased. "Thank you for bringing me to Ladybug. Now let's see if your civilian persona has the right to judge me."

"Manner…."

"BBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGG!"

The alarm clock startled Heroine of Arc. She brought her hands to her ears leaning away from the hero. As she did, the banner clattered to the ground.

Having followed his orders, Chat was free to dash headlong to pick up the item. He quickly used his power to turn it to dust. Ladybug snagged the akuma, purified it, then cast her cure.

Everything was restored to normal. Socqueline was slightly dazed by her akumanzation. When she saw the heroes right before her, she realized what had happened.

"I was akumatized wasn't I? I can't believe it! I wanted to help you two, not attack you."

Ladybug assured her that she and her partner didn't blame her for being akumatized. Just that it was a result of a bad idea.

"I'm pleased that I have inspired you to help others, Socqueline. But this is why your friend Marinette told you it wasn't a good idea. Pretending to be a hero when you're not, leads only to trouble."

The high school student bowed her head. "I see that now. I won't pretend to be you or any other hero again. I still want to help you both somehow."

Chat Noir chimed in with an idea. "Your family runs an arts and craft store, correct?" The girl nodded and Chat continued, "Craft projects can be very calming. You could film a few videos on different crafts to do if a person needs to calm down."

"Chat is right! If people can find ways to channel their fears and anger into a project, they won't be targeted by Monarch."

Socqueline agreed that would be a great idea. She would get started right away. The heroes then left to find a place to hide. They were pleased to find a solution to the problem.

Later that night at the Agreste mansion, Gabriel had made dinner for everyone. It was mashed potatoes, meatloaf, and mixed veggies. Once everyone had taken a bite, Gabriel asked how everyone liked it.

"It's very delicious Father. Thank you for making dinner," Adrien said. Next to him, Gorilla did a thumbs-up while Nathalie smiled pleasantly. Truthfully the meatloaf was a bit dry but still tasty.

"I'm glad you like it," the designer said. He glanced down and noticed something. "Adrien, where is your Alliance ring? I thought I said to wear it as often as possible."

Adrien told him politely it was in his room. "I wear it at school, Father. I would like to stop though. I find it creepy looking at the AI whether it is me or Kagami."

"You agreed to promote the Alliance ring as part of your new contract as a part-time model," Gabriel reminded him.

Adrien said he had been promoting it. Several of his classmates and the whole fencing team had purchased one. It was popular with kids in other classes or grades.

"My teacher just bought one. I think I've done enough promoting the Alliance at school."

"I agree with Adrien. There has been an incredible surge in his age group, purchasing the Alliance. Perhaps he can wear it the next time he goes on a date with Ms. Dupain-Cheng," Nathalie suggested.

The man nodded and asked his son if Marinette had an Alliance ring yet. Adrien told him no and that she didn't want one. She called it too distracting when she designed or tried to do her homework.

"Also, her best friend Alya is very fixated on the Alliance ring right now. When Alya becomes obsessed with something new, Marinette tends to stay far away from it."

Gabriel was flabbergasted by this revelation. He didn't realize Ms. Dupain-Cheng would avoid anything new from his brand. Still, it didn't matter because he couldn't akumatize her or his son.

"Very well then. I won't push the issue. Just remember to wear yours when you're out in public, understood?"

Adrien nodded and dinner resumed. The teenager was glad his father hadn't overreacted to Adrien's request.

Nathalie shot a look at Gabriel with her lips downturned slightly. Ah, she thought he could have done better. Maybe he should take Nooroo's advice on changing his tone when he spoke more often.

In the early morning hours before school started, Ladybug and Chat Noir were testing the security plaques. Both of them held what appeared to be mini glow sticks in their hands.

The sticks were meters that were able to measure the amount of magic inside an object. The brighter the glow the stronger the magic was. At the moment, they were checking the one on the Eiffel Tower.

"What color is the meter?" Ladybug asked. The plaque had been hidden in the small viewing platform on the top. Chat Noir held up his stick next to it.

The neon green color got much brighter. "As you can see, it's nearly at maximum. Another few days and the plaque will be fully charged."

His girlfriend pumped her fist before typing the information into her yo-yo. "Okay, we've made it halfway through our check. The ones closer to the school are at maximum levels, and the ones we've been checking out now are near that level."

"I'm betting the ones farther out are barely halfway charged. That makes sense because Monarch's hunting grounds are closer to our neighborhood."

Ladybug nodded saying with the added kwami magic, Monarch's hunting range had expanded. She showed her partner her yo-yo screen. It was a map of the city with three different colored markers.

Monarch's main hunting ground was purple. Slightly further out were the blue ones, areas that were halfway through his ground. The indigo markers indicated the limit of his range."

"We have to assume with the extra magic at his disposal, that his range has changed. I don't ever recall him sending an akuma to Socqueline neighborhood before."

"Then we need to move the markers about a mile further back from where they are now," Chat said while tapping the screen. He let out a low whistle. "His new territory range covers half the city."

"We need to get this security grid up as soon as possible. Without it, I'm not sure we can keep civilians safe as we try to get to the Akuma."

The two bounced off and continued their checks. Chat was right the plaques further out were weaker. It was nearly six thirty when they reached the last one.

Ladybug used her meter and was not pleased with the results. "This one's magic level hasn't increased at all. I'm still getting base readings."

This worried the two heroes. The plaque's magic level should have grown a little by now. That it was still reading base was troubling. They would have to visit Master Fu soon to find out why.

"We should get home. Try to get a power nap before heading to school. We're going to need it, especially you, My Lady."

Ladybug stuck her tongue out and then jumped away. Chat dashed away as well, hoping that Nathalie didn't get up early to check on him. There would be no way to explain his absence.

Marianne was also up early. She was going to make a special breakfast for her husband. Fu had spent half the night researching ways to improve his mental shields.

They had all been lucky so far that Monarch hadn't been able to fully probe the heroes' memories. They couldn't count on Nooroo or Duusu to keep the terrorist out of their minds forever.

She brought up a video on her tablet before placing it on a stand. She pressed play and started making jiang-bing, a traditional Chinese breakfast food. First, she had to deep fry the dough before making it into a wrap.

She filled the wrap with a fried egg, before adding mustard pickles, scallions, and coriander. She then top it off with a spicy sauce and closed the wrap.

The scent of the finished wraps made its way into the bedroom. Fu smelled it and got out of bed. He walked into the kitchen. "What is that delicious smell?"

"I made us some jiang-bing for breakfast. You need to take a break from your research. Take the day off to relax and recharge."

"The sun can rest no longer than the moon when it's awake," he reminded Marianne.

"It's too early for ancient proverbs right now, my love," she chided him. They munched on their breakfast for a little while before she spoke up again.

"Was your research successful?"

Master Fu closed his eyes and sighed. "It was not as successful as I wanted it to be. I have decoded several entries by previous Celestial Guardians. Several of their entries seem too fantastical to be true, perhaps legends instead of the truth."

Marianne reminded him that legends often have a grain of truth in them. Several of the past Celestial Guardians had lived in an era where magic was easy to access. What might seem impossible today could have happened in the past.

Fu conceded to her opinion. He did have the day off from his business. They could spend it together with the RMC reading the entries out loud. The Kwamiis would know what was truth or an exaggeration.

As expected, the RMC were excited to hear the entries. All nine of them were here right now. Master Fu had wanted to do a physical on the entire circle to check their health.

Marinette and Adrien would be stopping by tomorrow to pick up two new Kwamiis to care for the next week and a half. The remaining five were super excited to see which two would be picked.

Settling down in the workspace, Fu began to read out loud an entry by the first Celestial Guardian.

"Today has been exhausting and there is still much to do. The Order of the Guardians has been around for nearly a year now. Our recruits are young and bright yet very impatient."

"The Council is eager to finish writing the rules that will govern our society. Masters still need to be chosen for combat training. The kitchen staff is trying their best to maintain a garden when the weather is against them."

"We've asked a few Kwamiis for assistance and a few agreed to help with the garden. I'm grateful for this as I have no wish to starve. Neither do the recruits."

"I have concerns about tomorrow's mission. The Council is worried about the risk I'm taking. The denglong are terrifying creatures but they are the divine messengers to the Dragon King."

"If the Order is to thrive, we need the Dragon King's favor. I recognize that the Dragon King might deny my request for an audience. If he does accept it, I will need to ensure that our offering is sufficient enough to keep him happy."

The entry came to an end. Runner asked if there were other entries by the first Celestial Guardian. The current Celestial Guardian twitched.

"There is another entry but I can't read it. It's not because it is written in code. The characters used to write it is so old that I can't figure out what they mean."

Sniffer asked if could read them another entry instead

Fu nodded and slid the Miraculous Book over to his wife. He placed the translation over the entry. "My throat is parched from all this reading. I believe it's your turn."

Clearing her throat, Marianne started to read out loud. "This is my first time away from the temple since I ascended to the rank of Celestial Guardian. The outside world has changed a great deal."

"Fashions have changed greatly. These days, people where more vibrant colors. Travel has become easier now that roads have improved. I'm enjoying the new foods that have been imported from Europe."

"Magical energy has lessened over the last few years. Still, I can see it being used for mundane things such as blessings and good fortune. That means my search will be easier."

"Recent reports from the Great Guardian in the area indicate that the Nagas have gathered nearby. It is unusual for so many to be gathered here in Vientiane when there is no significant threat to the city."

"I fear that they are here for a nefarious purpose. They are noble beings and have protected the people of Laos for centuries. Still, even semi-divine creatures can be tempted by their deepest desires."

"I will do my best to prevent any harm coming to the city. If need be, I will use all my magic to put an end to the possible threat. I pray it does not come to that."

The Kwamiis were disappointed that there wasn't any more to the story. Once more, the following entries were written in the forgotten dialect. Marianne told them if they wanted a story, she could tell them a few tales her grandmother use to tell her.

The Kwamiis cheered as she told them a French fairy tale about a white cat. Off to the side, her husband was looking in the Miraculous Book again. She was certain he was going to figure out what the unreadable pages said.

In New York, Peace Keeper was busy preparing for a visit by her supervisors to her bunker. They wanted to know if she had any progress on her assignment on Monarch.

She would mention the magical security grid being constructed. She was also looking into ways to block the villain's access to the Kwamiis' minds. She debated if she should mention her weakened status or not to her supervisors.

She decided against it. They were on her side right now about the dangers of governments controlling magic. They could easily turn against her if they thought she was too weak to complete her mission.

About an hour later, her supervisors were all sitting in the living room space of her bunker. The five had serious expressions on their faces. Even without her empathy, Peace Keeper knew they were filled with fear.

The French Representative spoke first. "What if any progress have you made in Project Monarch?"

Turning on her smart TV, she began her presentation. The first image showed profile pictures of Hawkmoth, Shadowmoth, and Monarch. There was also a photo with a large question mark on it.

She used a laser pointer to circle the first picture. "As you know, the terrorist in this picture has slowly been amassing magical power. Originally, Hawkmoth could only akumatize people."

She pointed to the next picture. "He became Shadowmoth when he gained power from the partially fixed Miraculous. By partially fixed, I mean he has access to two powers, and it wouldn't make the wearer sick."

"Currently, he is Monarch after using me as a hostage to gain half of the sixteen known Miraculouses power."

The United Kingdom Representative asked for clarification. Specifically, why the terrorist had taken her hostage, and how Monarch was able to take half the power without taking the Miraculouses?

Peace Keeper explained curtly about the charm necklace, pulling it out of her pocket. It couldn't be seen when she wore it because of the magic. "These charms carry a tenth of the power found in a Miraculous."

"In the past, the charms were used for practice until an individual was assigned a Miraculous. I have to guard the necklace against falling into the hands of evil. By attacking me while I was wearing it, Monarch siphoned magic from Miraculouses via this connection."

"Can you use the same connection to recover the magic to weaken the terrorist?" The Russian Representative asked.

Peace Keeper informed him she was trying. Due to the distance and a blocking spell used by Monarch, she hadn't been able to break through yet. She needed to catch him off guard.

She pointed to the empty photo. "The easiest way to regain the magic would be to discover who Monarch is. In his civilian form, his magic is much weaker."

She moved on to the next slide. It was the profile report on Monarch. "We are continuing to build a profile on Monarch. We have started one for Mayura, as well."

"The police in Paris have copies of these profiles. With more information being added after each attack, the suspect pool is narrowing. At this time, the police are keeping an eye on some of these suspects."

The next slide was of the magical security grid. She explained the security grid was not finished yet. "Though it is not fully operational, the grid has been helpful with its secondary purpose."

"What purpose is that?" the Chinese Representative inquired.

"Mapping magical hotspots, sir." Peace Keeper showed them the next slide. It was a map of Paris with purple dots all over it. Some of the dots were small, and others huge.

Peace Keeper explained that the small dots represented areas where magic energy would normally gather. The huge areas represented places where magic had been used heavily.

She used the laser pointer to highlight the Eiffel Tower. "With these areas growing, new hot spots are forming. By working backward we can discover the first area where magic was overused."

"Which would eventually lead the police to where this terrorist is hiding. A very smart idea, Peace Keeper," the United States Representative remarked.

Peace Keeper preened at the praise. She continued her presentation by offering non-magical solutions to keep Parisians safe. There could be a curfew so there wouldn't be people outside causing problems.

Another suggestion was asking the schools to have a group therapy session at least twice a week. This suggestion had been implemented before but only for a single day for an hour.

Peace Keeper concluded her presentation shortly after that. "I will continue to look for solutions to the situation, sirs. I will keep you informed on my progress."

"See that you do, Peace Keeper. If you need any more resources let us know. Until then, keep up the good work," the French Representative informed her.

Once her supervisors had left, Peace Keeper collapsed on her couch and removed her mask. "Ah, what a day. I'm going to have to email Father about what was discussed today," she said to herself.

She would get to that in a bit. Right now, a soak in the hot tub would be a good reward for all her hard work.
