Getting out of the shower, Lexi couldn't be less confident in her decision to keep their secret. There seemed to be no good outlook for them. Every possible scenario that flashed in her mind, she saw things ending badly. All she wanted was to be wrapped in her man's arms and be told everything would be okay but there was no chance of that with this stupid lockdown.

As she got dressed, Lexi attempted to mentally prepare herself for what was to come once she left her brother's dorm. She knew playing devoted daughter would keep everyone off her back. She just didn't know if she could play the part anymore. Gemma had primped and polished her to become a perfect Old Lady her whole life. Now it all seemed foreign. Still making the attempt to achieve the goal, she dressed in a pair of daisy dukes, and an off the shoulder t-shirt just loose enough to cover her bump, but flaunt her quickly growing breasts. She needed to look like eye candy but still hide the baby. Pulling just her bangs up and applying some makeup, she felt happy with her look and made her way down the hall into the main room.

The intensity of the situation was definitely weighing on the room but she couldn't let it get to her. Walking towards the kitchen where her mother was catering to everyone, she noticed all the eyes following her while she avoided making contact with the ones she wanted on her the most. Greeting club members and family as she weaved through the room, she collided with Kozik.

"Shit Koz, sorry! Should have watched where I was going."

"All good princess. Your body's fine enough I can't complain," he replied with a flirty wink. "When you get your grub, come outside. Need to chat."

Nodding her head, she left him to finish her misson. "Hey ma, need help?"

"About time! We've got it all handled here but make sure to get you a plate before its all gone," Gemma replied. Lexi quickly added a burger, potato salad, chips and some fruit to a plate and made her way outside. Stopping by the bar, Lexi grabbed a beer and bottle of water. Turning around, she noticed Happy staring at her with a raised brow. Mouthing 'Koz' back at him she left the room.

Finding Kozik tucked away at a picnic table in the back corner, she made her way over to him. "Got ya a beer," she said simply, setting the bottle down in front of him and taking the seat across from him.

"For me, or to cover your ass?" he said with a chuckle. "How's things?" He asked, eyes dropping to her hidden stomach before coming back to meet her eyes.

"Good. Heart's holding so far."

"Got his dad's fight in him," a voice grumbled low behind her causing her to jump.

"Fuck Hap, a little warning would have been nice," she shot at him as he sat sideways on the bench next to her so he could still monitor their surroundings.

"Be more alert, we've talked about this," he replied back with a shrug. Looking to Kozik he asked, "Why are you two sneaking around out here?"

"Not sneaking, just talking," Kozik said, raising his hands in defense. Lowering his voice he continued, "Jax is suspicious..."

"What?" Lexi whispered exasperatedly. Eyes shooting up from the plate she was pushing food around. "There's no reason! I've kept minimal contact! Did you tell him?" She looked to her boyfriend accusingly, remembering the ultimatum he gave her before her shower.

Looking around to make sure all was clear, Happy rested his hand on her thigh in an attempt to calm her. "I didn't say anything. But he did see us leave my dorm. Told him you were just thanking me for the ride, we're fine. Stop worrying."

"Umm not so much," interrupted Kozik. "He kept badgering about how well you knew each other, how often Lex was around SAMTAC. If she had been sleeping with any brothers there." At the last statement he lowered his eyes and Lexi felt her shoulders slump, hands coming to rest on her bump. The child wasn't even born yet and was off to an unlucky streak already. To her brother, she'd always be a club whore. All because one mistaken kiss.

"What'd you say," she whispered, barely audible.

"Doesn't matter. I'm going to take care of it. I told you I would protect you. This is part of it," Happy cut her off rising from the bench.

"Hap, chill man. When I found out, I swore I'd protect your secret and I did. Told him he was being paranoid. We hadn't seen her around and that you were just doing the job you were asked by bringing her," he explained to the couple trying to ease their stress.

Sitting back down, Happy reached for her hand, "Baby, we have to say something and it needs to come from me. That little bitch Ty got fucked up because he tried hiding things. Not that I'm afraid of a fight, but I need you safe. Right now, that means locked down with the club. "

"But we hid shit too. Over a year of hiding us and now a baby..."

"I'll take my punishment. It was my choice. I'll blame it on being Nomad. Clay will be more understanding knowing how loyal I am to the club. That I didn't say anything because club loyalty came first," he tried to reason with her.

"That's not a bad idea Lex, if he makes it seem like he kept it quiet for the club, it will have a better outcome. Plus, Happy is one of the most loyal soldiers this club's had and Clay won't want to lose his skill set," Kozik defended his friend's argument.

"Fine," she said raising up. "Clearly there's no other choice." Kissing Happy's cheek, she realized how suspicious that could look so she rounded the table and kissed Kozik's as well. Hearing Happy's growl, she defended her action as she walked away, "kissing both of you is less suspicious than kissing just you jackass."

"That woman is gonna be the death of you brotha," Kozik replied with a chuckle.

"Fuck man don't I know it," he replied shaking his head. "Don't kn-" Happy was cut off by the sounds of the gate crashing open gunfire suddenly echoing through the lot. Running towards the sound, Happy saw the head of all too familiar red hair go down. Nothing mattered but pushing himself to run faster, he needed to get to his girl.
