Walking into the chapel, Lexi was terrified. Yes just earlier in the day she had agreed to let Happy make his speech to Clay but she never expected to blow her top and their secret out of the water like she just had. She was running on pure anger and adrenaline and possibly ruined everything.

Now as the adrenaline was fading, she was terrified what it would mean for Happy. He was nothing without the club. Sure he worked in the garage and had his tattoo parlor but the extra income he made with the club was how he made sure his ma had everything she needed too. Lexi wouldn't be able to live with herself if he lost the ability to care for his mother.

As Clay sat at the head of the table, Gemma took the seat to his right and Jax to his left. Happy sat a few chairs down from Jax with Lexi in the middle of them. From the time they had entered the room, she hadn't brought her eyes up from the floor. The way she was picking at her thumb nail and chewing on her lip, Happy could tell she was nervous.

"How long?" Clay started in.

"Roughly 10 months," Happy answered prepared to take on the wrath so nothing would fall on Lexi.

"10 months?" Gemma screeched. "10 fucking months and you've kept this from us? From the club? This is why you've been avoiding home isn't it? Because you were shacking up with random club members?"

"I haven't been with anyone else. I didn't looking for this. It just happened," Lexi defended quickly.

"Then why'd you hide it?" Clay asked calmly. His cool behavior was starting to scare her. He was only ever calm like this before he'd blow.

"That was my decision Clay," Happy explained. "With my transfer from Nomad to SAMTAC I didn't want it to seem like I was only transferring for Lexi. I made the decision so I could go further in to the club. Lee needed me up there and it was the best decision for my future. We were going to give it a few weeks then make the announcement but after becoming Enforcer, I made her keep the secret longer because I didn't want it to seem like I only got it because I was with SAMCRO's princess. I wasn't about to have anyone look down on me thinking I'd gotten preferential treatment when I busted my ass for my position."

"Explain the Sweet butts then," Gemma interrupted.

"Simple. If I didn't keep up appearances, how quick would we have been figured out? I had a reputation I knew I had to keep an illusion of it to keep our cover. But I swear to you both, I never once had the thought even cross my mind to disrespect your daughter with any of them or even use the road clause. They may have been kissing all over me but I never returned any actions."

"It's true ma. I'm right across the hall I would have seen or heard something atleast when he's been here and it's been silent. I thought it was wierd but he didn't seem off his game so I didn't mention it," Jax said simply.

Hearing her boyfriend and brother's words, Lexi seemed to find her own strength. She reached over and intertwined her fingers with Happy's as she brought her eyes up to meet her parents. "Look I know we fucked up the way we went about this, but Hap has made my life worth living when all I wanted to do was give up. He's the only one that's been able to keep me centered when it felt like every thing in my life was unraveling. He got my head back on straight and showed me how to enjoy life again instead of just working myself to death. I know you didn't want me with a member daddy. I've always tried to respect that wish. But he makes me truly happy and I don't want to through life without him after knowing how good it can be with him."

"Hmmm," was the only response her father gave at her declaration.

"Look, I know it's not my place, were their methods protocol? No, but if you think about it Happy is one the best people possible to protect her and make sure she's okay. At least give them a chance to prove they can make this work. Ma's been training Lexi to be an old lady her whole life. She'll be obedient and if not, Happy is probably one of the only people with an attitude to rival hers and will keep her in line. Consider me how quickly he was able to get her in line tonight. No one has ever been able to do that," Jax tried reasoning for his sister.

"I'm not a fucking dog Jackson," Lexi shot back with a glare.

"I don't agree with this. Allowing them to be together is like rewarding their wronged behavior," Gemma countered back.

Clay was silent for a long time before looking to his daughter. "You really love him princess?"

"I mean we've never had said it but there are very strong feelings and actions that show the emotion is there."

"With all do respect Prez, I've laid my life on the line for this club more times than I can remember. But I know I'd also do the same for your daughter in a heartbeat. She deserves the best life and I plan on giving her that. If that choice and my being a member are going to conflict where you feel you can't trust my loyalty, then I'm going to ask for a removal vote. I don't want to, but I won't have my loyalty questioned," Happy explained.

"Hap no. You need the club, it's your life. Don't choose me over the club. I won't allow it." Lexi could feel her anxiety rising with his words. If Clay questioned his loyalties, this would never be allowed.

Lexi's reaction was just what Happy needed to further his case. He knew Clay knew how she felt about the club. But he was banking on the fact she knew he used the extra income to pay for his ma's cancer meds. It'd make it seem like she was finally back to being okay with club life and would make that his priority.

"Alright look, this is probably against my better judgement. But if this causes any issue to the club, there will be consequences. If you break my daughter's heart, there will be consequences. Same goes for you if you lose me my best enforcer. My daughter or not, there'll be no saving you. If this is the life you're choosing, it's forever not til a few years from now when you getting bored." Clay informed them both rising from the table.

"I understand Clay and can promise you there won't be any issues from either of us," Happy replied with a look at Lexi. "There is one more thing I need you to know before we finish this conversation though. Lexi and I are expecting a child." Gemma gasped as Clay shot across the table at Happy. Jax quickly pulled Lexi out of the way as to not be caught in crossfire while Clay wrapped his fingers around Happy's throat.
