After locking the door behind him, Happy walked down the hall and out into the bar room. Seeing Kozik sitting at the bar nursing a beer he made his way over to him. "Long night?"

"A bit. Someone decided to piss Clay off then stay in his room all night so I got stuck with his babysitting shift. Tig just took over and started working on ways to make him talk," Kozik explained.

"Shit sorry brotha, I had no clue. Ya should have come to get me," Happy apologized.

"I'm not bitchin, just giving you shit. What you had going on was more important anyways," Kozik told him. "I can honestly say I never thought I'd see the day Lex flipped like that. She's always been well mannered. Gemma made sure of that. She did some fucking damage on Bec's face though," he finished with a chuckle.

"Something finally flipped but I don't know why all of a sudden. She's clingy but getting her attitude back quick," he told him shaking his head.

"Trust me, anyone who went down the hall last night heard how clingy she was with that screaming," Kozik said. "On the real though, the girl's always struggled with this life. never felt close to her family. The way she is with you is different. You're her safety zone and she knows it."

"Least they all know she's properly cared for in all ways," Happy replied with a shoulder shrug and a smirk. "I know you're right. As long as she's good, I'm good. She's my priority. I do know I need to get her home before shit blows up though. She squared up with Jax last night then tried going rounds with Gemma this morning. They won't stand down for long and Clay hasn't made his point yet."

"Welcome to the first family brotha," said Kozik. Standing from his barstool and giving Happy a pat on the shoulder, he started walking away. "Gonna get some shut eye."

"Koz?"

"Hmm?" He mumbled turning back towards Happy.

"Keep an ear out with Lexi for me? I'm gonna run out to the warehouse. She's supposed to be resting but I dont want anyone fucking with her."

"Always," Kozik replied with a nod of his head continuing down the hall to his dorm.

Happy polished off his beer and headed out to his bike. After last night, he needed to get some aggressions out and he could think of no better way than to start prying some information out of their hostages. Plus the quicker he could get the information, the quicker he could get his girl back home and away from all the drama of Charming. Starting his bike, Happy pulled out of the lot and headed to the warehouse.

Lexi ate her breakfast slowly completely avoiding the oatmeal. She never had cared for the stuff and her mother should have known that. But after being bitchy like she had, Lexi tried giving her the benefit of the doubt because she figured Gemma made it thinking of the baby. That was always the upside to Happy. His OCD made him so detail oriented it didn't take him long to figure out her favorite foods and what she wouldn't eat. Rubbing her stomach absentmindedly, Lexi thought about their current situation.

Never did she think she'd end up with a club member let alone the club's enforcer. Gemma had raised her to become the perfect Old Lady but that wasn't the life she wanted for herself. Lexi had always had the plan to get away from it all. She loved her family but she could easily do without the crime and bullshit that went along with the club. She didn't fit in anyway.

Growing up the club princess, there were always so many rules surrounding Lexi she could barely keep her head straight most of the time. The thing that had always angered her though was those rules were never pushed on the boys the way they were her. She wasn't allowed out after 8 unless it was in the company of a patch or she was at the clubhouse. No drinking or partying. Reaper forbid she show any sort of attraction to the opposite sex. It wasn't the life she wanted for herself or to raise her own future children in. Life was a different story now and she knew there would be no running away like she had tried when she first left for Seattle.

Her biggest problem had been that her feelings for had Happy blindsided her. It was the last thing she ever expected when she saw him in the bar that night but she wouldn't change the outcome for anything. She knew she'd signed away her club free life when she made the choice to continue sleeping with him. That little plus sign showing up on the pregnancy test just secured her in the outlaw life even further. To her surprise though, he'd been all in. After what she'd heard about him, she had expected him to offer to pay for an abortion and never see her again. But the stories she had heard were a complete different person than who she knew and fell in love with.

Happy was known as a gruff, sadistic man with a very short temper. The gruff man she had seen, but she also saw the sweet side that no one else got except Kozik when he'd visit their place. After he caught them, it had become a regular thing that Kozik came over for dinner or even just a beer. It helped Lexi because she stayed sheltered in Tacoma and hadn't made any friends. But when Kozik admitted to her that he'd never seen the softer version of Happy unless Lexi was around, she knew things were different. Lexi never wanted had the intention of changing Happy but she figured it was just him feeling affection for another person the way he did for his mother.

The man he was when it came to his mother was what finally broke down the last of Lexi's walls. Seeing him care for her and making sure every little thing was taken care of, paying for all her treatments and meds, being sure to address every small detail of her care. Lexi had no doubts he would care for their family. That was Happy's thing. He protected what was his.

After deciding to brave the bar room, Lexi took her tray full dishes and slowly made her way down the hall towards the kitchen. She was sure to carefully observe who was around as she worked her way through the room. Something she'd picked up from Hap. Great full to not see any of her immediate family members but sure they were stalking around somewhere. As she arrived at the kitchen, she noticed the Crow Eater she had beaten the night before washing dishes. As Lexi sat the dishes on the counter, the other woman looked over her shoulder realizing she wasn't alone.

"Fuck me...Look I've left Happy alone like you said. I'm just doing my part around the clubhouse like expected. I'll be gone before the guys even get back," She said hurriedly, half expecting Lexi to start swinging again.

"Calm down. I'm not trying to make trouble. I was just bringing my plate back," Lexi said. Looking the woman over she could see the damage she had caused. The woman's face was swollen and though she had put a good effort in, you could still see the bruises under her makeup. "What's your name?"

"Rebecca but everyone calls me Bec."

"Glad I can put a name to the face. Anything broken?" Lexi asked.

"My nose but Chibs' reset it for me last night."

"Finish the dishes and get lost. The guys aren't going to want to see you black and blue. Tends to turn most of them off. I don't want to see you back here until your face is bruise free or can be properly covered." Lexi knew she seemed heartless but this was who she had to be in the club. Rebecca knew she fucked up but if Lexi showed too much kindness she would be taken as weak. Happy wouldn't stand for the disrespect of making him look weak by being with her and Gemma would blow a gasket if she knew Lexi wasn't following proper protocols with the Sweet Butts. She had a role to play and she would stick to it.

"Yes ma'am." Rebecca answered before quickly turning back to the dishes as Lexi left the room.

After leaving the kitchen Lexi glanced around the bar room again as she made her way outside. There were a few Sweet Butts who were keeping their distance and what Lexi assumed were a couple hang arounds playing a game of pool while the prospect stocked the bar.

She knew she'd have to deal with the wrath of Happy if he knew she was out there but she couldn't stay cooped up any longer. Happy was gone, she didn't know where Kozik was and she didn't have a female friend in the club she could talk to. Hell the only person she had been able to talk with growing up was Opie. But that went out the window when he became a prospect and was all about the club. Plus he was currently sitting in prison. She truly had alienated herself when she left.

Lexi sat at a picnic table just right outside the doors so she could make a quick run back inside if anything happened again. She was doubtful of that though with the guys grabbing who they needed to already. She hadn't been outside long when she saw a car start to pull into the lot. The mop of ratty blonde hair all too familiar for her liking. She knew if she went inside it would seem like she was running from Wendy and she refused to give her that satisfaction.

"Where's my husband?" Wendy snapped when she got closer to Lexi.

"Not my old man, not my problem," Lexi shot back rising from the table starting to walk away. "Maybe if you weren't shooting up you would know."

"Excuse you?" Wendy snarled snatching Lexi's injured arm and jerking her back.

"I suggest you let me go before you regret this decision," Lexi replied calmly stepping towards Wendy so they were now nose to nose.

"I think you forgot who you're talking to bitch," Wendy snapped. "You think just because you're with Happy you're safe? Doesn't work like that"

"Ohh I haven't forgotten, you no good dirty crank whore. But just because my brother falls for your bullshit sober stories doesn't mean I will. I see right through you."

"You little Bitch!" Wendy shrieked raising her hand to Lexi.
