Back in Time
Chapter 4
"Did you have to fight him?" Conner asked Kira as they walked towards a bench in the park.
"He volunteered." She replied with a shrug.
"And you took advantage of him assuming you didn't know much to knock him on his ass." Ethan said with a smirk, making Kira glare at him.
"It's not my fault he underestimated me." She snapped. "And you took advantage and placed a bet against him."
"What happened to not drawing attention to yourselves?" A voice asked, making them jump.
"Dr O?" Trent questioned, smirking when the ranger in question suddenly appeared next to them. "You were in there?"
"I came looking for you." He replied, giving Kira a pointed look. "You know they're suspicious now, right?"
"So?" She asked, anger still evident in her eyes. "Is it really that shocking for Jason to lose a fight?"
"Actually, yes." He replied, making her shake her head. "Although I think they are probably under the impression that he wasn't expecting you to be as good as you were, and the shock is what allowed you to floor him."
"Anyway, did you find somewhere for us to stay?" Conner asked, trying to change the subject.
"No." He replied with a frown. "We don't have enough money with us for a hotel."
"So what do we do?" Trent asked.
"I think our best bet might be to go to Zordon." Dr O replied, making them look at him with a frown. "He may be able to help us get back to our time, or even give us a place to stay. I'm sure there are room at the command centre." They all sighed, only to jump when they heard screaming from not far away. They ran towards the sound and saw people running from Putties and a strange looking creature.
"What is going on?" Kira asked, looking at the creature with a frown. It looked like a monkey with wings wearing gold armour. "Since when did we end up in Oz?"
"Really? Flying monkey and the first thing you think of is Wizard of Oz?" Conner asked, making her look at him with a smirk.
"Well what do you think of when you see a flying Monkey?" She asked.
"Guys, we need to do something." Ethan snapped, making them nod and ignore their banter.
"No we don't." Dr O said, making them frown. "We told the Rangers we wouldn't interfere with Zedd. That is Goldar down there. He's one of Zedd's generals. This is a problem for the Rangers of this time."
"But where are they?" Trent asked, only to have his question answered when 6 streaks of light appeared in the park, indicating the arrival of the Rangers. They ducked behind trees so that they could watch the fight and not be seen.
"They look like they're struggling." Ethan said, watching as they managed to take down the putties, but they were all taking hits from Goldar.
"They'll be fine." Dr O replied as he started to walk away. "Now lets get out of here before we're seen." The teens shared looks before running after their teacher.

Later that day, they were all sat around a picnic bench in the park, a map of Angel Grove in front of them. Dr O was invisible again in case anyone walked past that might recognise them.
"Alright, so we're going to go to Zordon when we know that the other Rangers aren't there, but where do we go?" Conner asked, looking at the map.
"The Command Centre is here." Dr O's voice said as a pen suddenly rose up and circled an area on the map.
"Ok, so we need to head here first." Ethan said, grabbing the pen and drawing a circle around the edge of the desert. "But then what?"
"We may need to search the areas we arrived in." Trent said, picking up the pen. "In case something landed there that might help us. We landed around here." He drew a circle around a clearing in the forest.
"And I think we landed around here." Kira replied, drawing another circle not too far from the clearing Trent marked.
"We still need to figure out what we're going to do about sleeping if we don't get to Zordon today." Ethan said as he studied the map. "It's too late to make the journey on foot today, and I don't fancy spending the night in the desert."
"We could always sleep in the trees." Dr O said, making them all frown. "I'm told by Cole, one of the Wild Force Rangers, that it is actually quite comfortable."
"I'll take his word for it." Kira commented, glancing around. "Although I did see an outdoor store around here. Think you and Trent could 'borrow' a couple of tents after they close?"
"You want us to steal some tents?" Trent asked with wide eyes, making Conner smirk.
"We'll call that plan B." He said with a slight laugh.
"Hey, good to see you guys again." They looked up and saw Jason walking toward them. "I thought you had to meet your teacher?"
"We did. He's set us our next task." Ethan said, thinking on his feet as he tried to explain why the map was there. "He's making sure the equipment is all alright and we're looking for a good spot to try and find some fossils." Jason looked at the map and froze when he spotted a circle around the area where the command centre was.
"I wouldn't look here." He said, pointing to the circle in question. "We dug around there a couple of years ago. There's nothing there."
"I guess we can rule that one out then." Trent said, trying not to show his anxiety.
"And I thought you said before that your teacher had already taken you to a dig site?" Jason questioned, making them all share glances. Dr O tried not to laugh from where he watched, glad that he wasn't the one having to think on his feet.
"He did. But now he wants us to see if we actually listen to him and are able to find fossils on our own." Kira said, making the others smile in relief.
"Hey, nice work earlier by the way." Jason said, making her frown. "You fight good. Although you wouldn't have been able to beat me if I knew you were good." The 3 Dino Teens and Dr O all winced, Dr O moving to stand behind Kira in case he needed to keep her sat down.
"Seriously?" She asked, making Jason frown. "You can't just say, well done? You have to find a way to make it seem like you let me win?"
"Well, you did surprise me with how well you did." Jason tried to argue, making the 3 Dino teens verbally groan.
"You shouldn't have said that." Conner muttered, seeing Kira's eyes narrow. Kira felt a hand on her shoulder and knew Dr O was trying to get her to calm down.
"Are you that full of yourself that you can't just admit that I won fairly?" She asked with an exasperated expression.
"Kira, Dr O said no more fighting." Trent said, giving her a pointed look.
"Fine. I'm going for a walk." She grumbled, standing up and making Dr O's hand fall from her shoulder.
"Stay in the park." Conner said. Although he wanted them all to stay together, he knew that it was best for Kira to walk it off. "Dr O doesn't want us going off alone."
"If he asks, I needed the toilet." She snapped as she walked off.
"What is her problem?" Jason asked as he watched her walk off.
"She's having a hard time." Ethan said, trying to make it sound like normal teenage problems, and not that they found themselves 10 years in the past. "She'll be fine after a walk."
"Yeah, and for the record, no woman likes it when you diminish their skill and achievements." Trent added with a pointed look.
"I'm going to talk to her." Jason said, beginning to walk in the same direction that Kira had left in.
"I wouldn't do that!" Conner said, making him stop. "Trust me, just leave her alone for a bit. She'll be in a better mood tomorrow."
"We hope." Trent muttered under his breath, making the invisible Dr O step on his foot. Trent winced, but knew not to make it obvious what had happened.
"I'm still going to talk to her." Jason said, walking away.
"Your funeral." Conner called after him.
"Should we go after him?" Ethan asked.
"Kira won't kill him." Dr O replied as Trent rubbed his foot. "You alright?"
"That hurt." Trent grumbled. "But Dr O's right. If we follow, we might make it worse."
"She'll have cooled off a bit by the time Jason finds her." Dr O confirmed before they looked back at the map. "So, now that Jason knows we were looking at the desert, we have to be more careful and make sure he doesn't see us."
"Does the Command centre have proximity alarms like the Lab?" Ethan asked, looking back at the map.
"Yes. But they won't alert the Rangers." Dr O replied. "Zordon and Alpha will use the viewing globe to see what caused the alarm. If I don't turn invisible, they will probably recognise me and let us in without warning the other Rangers."
"They might? What if they don't?" Trent asked, making Conner think before a moment before smirking.
"We go in morph." He said, making them look at him. "If Dr O stays unmorphed, then they may recognise him. If they don't and they call the rangers, he can turn invisible to avoid being seen and we'll be in morph so they won't know who we are."
"Did he actually say something smart?" Ethan asked.
"Why can't you be like this in my lessons?" Dr O asked with a laugh. "Oh, and speaking of lessons, you have a test to resit."
"What?" Conner asked in shock, making Dr O smirk.
"Well, cheating on a test is bad enough." He said, making Conner shrink back slightly and blush as he realised he had been caught. "Using your Dino Power to do it makes it even worse!"
"How much trouble am I in?" He asked, making Dr O's smile widen. Conner couldn't see his expression, which made the red ranger even more nervous.
"You're cleaning the Raptors when we get home." Ethan laughed at the look on Conner's face at Dr O's words.
"Hey, do you think our communicators work?" Trent asked suddenly, looking down at the bracelet on his wrist. "We can morph, so do you think we can communicate with each other?"
"I don't see why not." Dr O replied with a slight frown that none of them could see. "It'd be good if we could contact Hayley, but I think that's asking for too much." Conner was about to say something when they all froze as they communicators went off.
"Well, that answers that question." Ethan mumbled.
"Hey Guys! I could use some back up!" Kira's voice called through Conner's communicator. She sounded slightly out of breath and they could hear the sounds of fighting in the background.
"How many times are these guys going to attack in one day?" Conner asked as they got up and grabbed the map, Ethan folding it and putting it in his pocket.
"More than we'd like." Dr O replied as they looked around.
"Right, let's morph now. Ready?" Conner asked as Dr O turned visible again and they all stood together.
"Ready." They replied. "Dino Thunder! Power up! Ha!" "White Ranger! Dino Power!"

Sorry I didn't upload this on Sunday. I had a busy day and a very busy week at work, and just forgot until today.
