Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Reaper and the Warrior. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Overlord, Kugane and a few others do.

Gaidar tapped his swords on the ground and continued onwards.

He was eager to meet this warrior who could challenge him. The excitement of a challenge drove him as if he were nothing more than a wild animal.

He wanted blood… And it would become something he desired more than anything. He was greeted by a piece of metal flying towards him. Gaidar blinked and looked up to grasp it from the air.

"Hmm… Seems I'm in the right place." Gaidar stated as he continued to walk forward.

He passed by fallen creatures several of which seemed to be human. His armor clanked as he walked through the makeshift graveyard.

"Oh… Another…" He heard as he pointed his swords forwards. Gaidar planted his helmet on his blades a moment later.

"Tell me…." Gaidar asked with a raised eyebrow. "Have you created this graveyard?" Gaidar questioned as he cocked his head to the side.

A girl rushed at him with a scythe as he grinned and donned his helmet. Gaidar managed to grab one of his swords and parry the blow. The wind blew him backwards, shattering stone and metal. He looked at the woman who glared at him with a silver and black eye. The same was said for her hair, her clothing looked half between gothic and half normal.

Gaidar hummed and rushed forward as the woman charged at him. Gaidar blocked the next blow and deflected the next to the side. Gaidar felt sparks fly from his weapon as he paused it only seconds from his head.

'This… This strength is MAGNIFICENT!' Gaidar mentally screeched to himself and looked at the girl.

He threw himself backwards, planting a sword into the soil which threw rock and gravel every which way. He grinned under his helmet.

"So, he didn't lie about there being a superior warrior here…" Gaidar stated to himself and chuckled as he grinned under his helmet.

The woman looked up at the sword wielding monster of strength who had managed to match her thus far. She was interested… Most people wouldn't have lasted even 30 seconds to be fair… But she was indeed fascinated by someone who managed to put up such a struggle to begin with.

Gaidar hummed and panted under his helmet. Whoever this being was? They didn't have the honor of introducing themselves.

Although? This being surprised that. He didn't care to know her name… Not yet at least. He didn't give his, so he didn't feel like he had earned that honor to begin with.

"Who… Are you?" The woman questioned before using the split second to rush Gaidar again. He brought up his blades in an x which blocked the strike that would have ripped his head off.

The air pressure blew him backwards. Gaidar dug his weapons into the ground, stopping himself from being thrown backwards. He was amused, this was his best battle

"Gaidar…" Gaidar said while he looked at her through his helmet. "Tell me… Who is the one who's given me my favorite battle yet? I've not met someone who actually managed to equal me before…." Gaidar said with a grin under his armor.

He lunged forward in a swing that almost took her head from her shoulders in return. Gaidar grinned as it was deflected as he hummed with amusement. He chuckled to himself as the woman continued to battle him.

This fight gave him far more amusement then he had ever found. If that warrior who had informed him of this still lived? Then he would be awarded everything he possibly wanted. This fight was surpassing his expectations by a mile and a half… And that in his mind?

Were worth far more then meaningless amounts of money in his mind… This fight was more than anything he wanted.

The woman grinned as well. She was enjoying herself as well as he looked to be… That was good, that meant he'd be fighting like she was.

"Then you can call me Zesshi…" Zesshi stated as she planted her scythe into the ground.

She grinned as Gaidar hummed and looked to the side and continued to keep fighting. He twirled the swords that sliced through stone like granite. He was far more amused when it came down to the battle.

Gaidar started to circle the woman as she did the same. Their weapons slowly dragged through the gravel around them. Gaidar wondered what happened next. This duel between them was taking a lot out of him… But he didn't want to do something to end it anytime soon.

"Anyone who ruins this duel is going to pay…" Gaidar said while continuing to twist his blades through his fingers.

He was curious how the duel would turn out… Perhaps he'd lose, but at this point? He didn't care, Gaidar was far gladder when it came down to it.
