"What the fuck Koz?! Why are you guys saying we're married? What's going on with Hap? How long until I'm able--"

"Damn girl, do you even breathe?" Kozik asked her. "He's still in county. Lee's pissed Lowen isn't helping. Add in that Hap is sitting in a cell where the cops are supposed to be on SAMCRO's payroll. That's why he brought a posse. He knew there would be a fight trying to take you. You're married because with the club's bylaws, it passes you to SAMTAC. You don't have Hap's ink, so we made up a bogus marriage certificate before coming down to get you out of here. Gem can try fighting it but there's no way they'll be quick enough to figure it out til were out of town. So get your shit."

"I want to see Hap before I leave Cali," she told him.

"Absolutely not. We have way too close of a timeline and he doesn't want you anywhere near the jail."

"Koz--"

"No Lexi," he cut her off. "Happy doesn't want to risk your safety by someone seeing you come visit him and this is not a negotiation. Now please grab your bag so I can get you in the car to go. We won't have much time before they have Juice run the marriage credentials and see it's a fake. I need to have you back hidden at the house before they show."

"I can't leave him behind..." she whispered.

"I know it hurts baby girl, but right now, we have to do right by him and his wishes. He wants you and the little bean safe back in Tacoma."

"Okay. My bag is in the closet, I'll need to give Bec back her ring."

"No need just yet. She's going back with us. You can give it to her once we leave. She knows she doesn't have a place here now that she just defied Gemma."

"Shit," Lexi said handing him her bag and following out the door.

When they made it back into the bar room you could cut the tension with a dull knife. Gemma was in the chapel fuming, Tig standing in the now open doorway trying to get insight on the situation. Lee had left the room and was talking to the other members of SAMTAC waiting on Lexi and Kozik to make their reappearance. She tried getting out the doors before she was noticed but didn't have that good of luck.

"Alexis Rose I swear to fucking God!" Gemma shrieked across the room.

"Fuck," Lexi muttered turning back to her mother as she stormed at her, Tig hot on her heels. Gemma rarely called her by her full name but when she did, something was going to go badly. "Ma, I'm a grown adult. I'm going where my husband wants me."

"You really think we believe that shit? If that was truly the case, why didn't you say something when you guys came out about your relationship?"

"We weren't ready. Let's go Koz."

The two turned to try walking out the door only now to have Tig blocking the doorway.

"You take her from this club house, you won't be able to transfer back. I'll never allow it. Do you even see how much pain you're causing Gem?" Tig practically growled in Kozik's face.

"I'm supporting my brother's wishes. nothing more or less," Kozik replied trying to keep a calm facade.

SAMTAC had now joined them and Lexi felt Lee's hand on her lower back guiding her out the door. She could see the anger in her mother's eyes but it was nothing compared to the pain she now saw in Tig's.

"I love you Tiggy," she told him as they passed. The only response being a scoff as he moved towards the bar for a drink.

Once the group made it into the parking lot, the boys guided Lexi to a silver Honda with dark tinted windows that was already running. When they approached, the trunk popped open instantly for Lexi to see it was almost stuffed but they made room for her bag before slamming the lid. Kozik approached the passenger door opening it for Lexi and leaning down to talk to the driver who Lexi now saw as Bec.

"Donut and Lee are going to see Hap. You'll follow me home, Lorca and Kenny will be following. We're going to space out so it doesn't look like we're following you, but once we get out of Cali, we will close ranks and ride tighter. You packing?" Kozik asked the girls as he gave Bec the run down.

"Yup, I know the routine," she said reaching into the open compartment of her door to pull out a pistol and Lexi pulled Happy's Beretta from her waist band.

"Let me guess, Happy told you to carry when he called?" Kozik asked.

"Would you expect anything else from that man?" Lexi chuckled with tears in her eyes while she climbed into the car and Kozik closed the door.

"Low profiles. Let's go." he told the women before hitting the roof of the car and walking towards the other men who were loading up on their bikes.

As Bec backed out and started to leave the lot, Lexi looked out the window and saw mixtures of hated, sadness, and pain written across her parents and Tig's faces. She knew she was hurting them but she also knew they'd had no remorse for their past actions against her. Lexi needed to do right by the twins and Happy. That meant getting out of Charming to fix her head like she and Happy had decided yesterday before everything got crazy. Lexi pulled the hood of Happy's jacket over her head and snuggled into the scent that was uniquely him.

"Any preference for music?" Bec asked her trying to lighten the mood. They were in for a long car ride after all.

"Nope. Just want to get back to my house and away from this toxic hell hole."

"I know it doesn't seem that way but it will get better hun. Lee's convinced he can get Happy out and home to you," She told Lexi.

"No he isn't. If they felt that was true, they wouldn't make me leave without him. This is all bullshit."

"They'll fix it. Just give them a little time."

Lexi didn't answer, just curled more into the hoodie. She didn't want more false promises or hopeful vibes. She wanted to be at home, with Happy, celebrating the twins. Instead she was headed home to an empty house and didn't know when she'd see him again.

They drove in silence for about 3 hours before the guys pulled off at a gas station. After starting the fuel for his bike, Kozik walked over to check in on the girls. When he made it to the car, he knocked on the window and gestured for Bec to roll her window down.

"Kenny is going to fill your car as soon as he's done with his bike. Need anything from inside?" He asked them.

"Just a water would be fine for me," answered Bec. Lexi continued to stare out the window.

"Lexi? You need anything? Have you ate today?" He asked again shifting his attention to the other woman.

"I don't need anything."

"Fine," he told her walking away.

Kozik knew she was upset and having a hard time but he was sick of being her beating post. Once inside, he grabbed a few waters and some food he knew Lexi had craved throughout her pregnancy. He quickly paid for the items and walked back to the car. Opening the passenger side door, he stood his ground while she glared.

"I know you're pissed, but Happy can make up for it once he gets home. Do not ignore your duty for growing that baby as healthy as it can be. There's a few different choices in there," he told her handing her the bag.

"Thanks," she whispered.

She knew he was right. He didn't deserve how she was treating him but she didn't know how to currently direct her anger. Before their conversation could go further, Kozik's phone started ringing.

"Hey Prez," he answered.

"How's the drive? Any issues?"

"We're about halfway into Oregon. Things are good, uneventful," Kozik answered.

"Any news with the charges?" Lexi asked suddenly alert to the call.

"Lexi's wondering if there's any news on Hap."

"Still working on it. We're in with him now. Our evidence should be enough to get him out from the murder charges though. Hap, phone?"

"Hey brotha," Kozik greeted Happy as the phone was given to him. He glanced back at Lexi to see if she wanted to talk. He should have known she'd start grabbing at the phone as soon as she knew Happy was there. Before handing Lexi the phone he told Happy, "Tell her to eat."

"Hap?"

"Hey babe. What's this shit Koz says you aren't eating?"

"I ate this morning than was more worried about getting away so I've been nauseous is all."

"Staying hydrated?"

"Yes. What's the update?" She asked trying to change the subject.

"The body of a Mayan popped up and they're trying to say they found my DNA on the body."

"What the fuck?"

"I don't know Lex. Lee brought security footage showing I was at the shop when the murder supposedly took place. Hopefully I'll be home by the end of the week at the latest. Just depends on how soon I can get in front of a judge."

"Just keep me updated."

"Koz will if I can't. Him and Bec are going to be staying with you at the house so you always have someone there. Be nice to her. She put alot on the line to help us get you out."

"It will be fine. We're better now."

"I gotta go before we get caught on Lee's phone. I love you and I'll see you soon."

"I love you too Hap." She told him before the phone disconnected. Handing the phone back to Kozik she said, "Fucking snitch."

"If it means I don't get my ass kicked by Killer, you're damn right. I'll snitch on your ass every single time," He told her while laughing. "Everyone's fueled up, let's get going."

Lexi rearranged herself into the car as Bec started it and got in line with the boys. After the call with Happy, though much shorter than she would have preferred, she was hopeful. She was seeing a different side to club life than she had been raised in. SAMTAC was standing in unity behind their brother and inturn, also her. She knew Happy had a high standing in the club but that didn't mean shit when it came to her. She hadn't even interacted with SAMTAC but yet they were protecting her like she'd been around for years. Maybe things wouldn't be as bad in Tacoma as she thought.
