Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Reaper and the Warrior. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own Overlord, Kugane and a few others do.
Gaidar was sent backwards by a kick from Zesshi, causing him to dig his blades into the ground. Dirt flew from every direction as he glared at her, interest tainting his entire body.
"MORE…." Zesshi hissed as she spun her scythe. Her eyes flashed with pure bliss at this.
This was the battle she had sought for years; this was the very thing she hungered for as she surged forward. Gaidar BELONGED to her, no matter what. She leapt forward, scythe raised to skewer Gaidar who promptly turned and leapt away, amused at this.
"Your good… But just how skilled are you?" Gaidar questioned as he turned to look at her with interest.
"Good enough to have you…" Zesshi hissed back, stalking after Gaidar. "I've never met someone who has ever managed to put me on the backfoot before… You belong with me." Zesshi added, making him chuckle.
"I've never encountered a warrior who could ever give me a good fight such as this." Gaidar said as the duo slowly started to circle each other. "I just might take you up on that offer… If you can offer such a good enough fight." Gaidar stated, knowing she was eyeing him with clear lust.
This woman interested him, she fought like a thing processed, something far stronger than simple killing intent. She lunged at him only to meet his blades. Sparks flew from the duo as he rallied, throwing her backwards with enough force to crack the ground under her.
It only paused her for a few seconds before she was upon him again, scythe swinging with reckless abandon as she attacked him again, almost trying to tackle him with wild abandon. He knocked her aside and parried her scythe as she cackled with glee, she clawed at him with fingers that seemed to be ever reaching towards him.
He said nothing, simply deflecting the woman's hit and throwing her into the ground by the arm, digging a trench as she slid around the battlefield. He hummed as she slowly picked herself up from the ground.
"MORE!" Zesshi roared as she threw herself at Gaidar.
The first swing shredded part of her frothy legging and tore up his helmet, leaving a long cut up the middle. The second dented his pauldron and cut up his chest plate while damaging one of Zesshi' s gloves.
The third and final strike threw her scythe and his swords to the side, both twirling as they smashed into the ground and impaled themselves into the dirt. Gaidar hummed, quite bemused by this.
Zesshi frothed from the mouth as she looked at her beloved weapon planted in the ground. She knew she had finally been fought to a standstill. Gaidar looked at the woman who seemed to dance on her toes at the very idea of finding someone who had finally managed to best her in combat.
"YOU…." Zesshi hissed, her lips curling into the most inhuman smile she could possibly conjure.
"Do you honestly love battle that much that you'd adore the man who outmatched you?" Gaidar questioned, his eyebrow raised in shock as he turned to look upon her.
"Do you want to know something?" Zesshi asked as she slowly approached Gaidar. "I've fought HUNDREDS of people, hundreds of warriors. I just wanted one simple thing. For one of them to defeat me. One of them to simply show me they surpassed my skill." Zesshi stated while Gaidar dusted off his damaged armored, impressed by the mars she had left upon the very metal itself.
"And yet you wanted someone who was close to you, correct?" Gaidar asked, not fearing this girl she was beyond him, yes, but she could still be beaten. He knew enough about her.
"I wanted someone who WON." Zesshi stated to which Gaidar raised an eyebrow and looked at her intently. "You won… And I won you." Zesshi purred, her emotions finally leaking through her emotionless body.
"I barely know you." Gaidar said, raising an eyebrow as Zesshi grinned.
"Who cares…?" Zesshi asked, reaching for Gaidar only for him to grab her arm. "You won, I'm yours." Zesshi added as the feral woman looked at her with a crazed lust.
Gaidar only rolled his eyes and looked at her with an amused chuckle despite himself. He knew her well enough, but he also knew she was going to be trouble. He enjoyed her company, but he would not simply bed someone who he barely had a connection to. There were lines to be crossed and she looked like she was crossing several of them the more he thought about it.
"No, Zesshi." Gaidar said, hauling the giggling woman up by the arm. "I do admit… I've never been around a woman who's managed to quite match me in combat before. It's quite interesting and enjoyable." Gaidar stated while humming as he looked at her through his damaged helmet.
"AND!?" Zesshi asked which made the warrior shake his head in amusement. This woman was hunger then a bear when it came down to it.
"Love is not simply determined by battle… But I will grant you I rather enjoy your company." Gaidar stated, turning to look at her once more. "Show me to your home town. We're discuss things further from there." Gaidar ordered as he released the girl.
He watched her giggle in delight. It made him hum with amusement at this. Her attraction was only fueled by blood lust, only given form through an inane desire to be bedded by someone who surpassed her.
Gaidar would not deny he held some carnal attraction to the woman, but it was tempered by a desire to understand her. She simply wanted to give into her primal desires the second she found a match to her.
"Then we will determine things. This contract isn't binding." Gaidar said, gaining a hum from this woman as he turned to look at her with quite enough caution.
She frowned but nodded, she wanted simply nothing more then to have a child with the man who defeated her… But Gaidar was different, he did not simply seem interested in the being with her because she was willing.
While she didn't understand it? She was willing to admit she would like to figure out more about him when it came down to it. She picked up her scythe and his blades. Gaidar was quite quick to gather his own blades next to her when it came down to it.
He followed after her, a quite small but growing curiosity from the warrior as he turned to look at her once more.
"This is going to be a longer day then I thought." Gaidar muttered.
