"Where's Lexi?" Gemma practically shouted when Happy reentered the main room.

"Sleeping," he replied simply.

"I wanted to spend time with her and we need to get all this stuff back to your house and org--"

"Gemma stop," Happy cut her off. "She's exhausted and needs sleep. Her and I will work on getting the gifts taken care of tomorrow."

"Well I want to be involved. These are my first grandchildren."

"That's something to take up with your daughter at a later time. Right now she's sleeping and I won't have her disturbed," he told her walking away towards the bar and taking a bar stool next to Kozik. "Fuck man that woman never stops."

"Just think, you're with a mini version. Don't forget there's Clay added in," Kozik replied with a chuckle.

"Nah, Lex ain't like that."

"Yet."

"Best not let her hear you say that shit, she'll kick your ass."

"She can try. How's she doing by the way? For real?"

"Fine I guess. She isn't saying much. Transition will be rougher than I thought but she should be okay," He said taking a drink from the beer that had been sat in front of him.

"Worried?"

"Only if the sweet butt's fuck with her. I'm not always going to be around to break up the fights."

"She'll be fine. I'm sure Jessie already warned 'em. And Bec still has a good standing to my knowledge."

"Yeah and we both know them bitches don't listen for shit," Happy said rubbing the stubble on his head. "I just want her happy. It's hard with the fucked history she's had with the club."

"I get it. Just don't stress. Gem feeds on that shit. Plus if Lex catches on she'll be harder to tie down."

"That's the fucking truth. I feel like she's already looking for any reason to run."

"Welp suck it up. Daddy's here," Koz whispered just as Clay joined them.

"Hey boys," Clay greeted wrapping his arms over Happy's shoulder. "Where's my daughter?"

"Sleeping," Happy answered.

"She agreed to sleep here willingly?"

"Yup."

"Wow. Maybe you've been better for her than we thought," Clay told him. "Let's find somewhere private to talk."

"Sure prez."

The two men walked towards the SAMTAC chapel. Happy took his normal seat about halfway down the trailer and Clay sat at the head.

"You sure you're ready for this? A family is a big thing. Life long commitment. I won't have you run out on my daughter when you're done playing house," Clay started.

"I'm not going to run out on her or the kids. I love the three of them more than I thought possible and will push to give them the best life I can until the day I die."

"That's all that matters then."

"That's it?" Happy questioned. He knew Clay didn't give up that easily.

"I just need to know she and the kids are going to be properly taken care of," Clay explained standing to leave the room. "The fact you were able to get her to accept the club and the life is a bonus. It means a relationship with my daughter I haven't had in a long time. I know how your loyalty works. I trust she's in good hands with you."

"Thank you Clay. I appreciate it."

"I just can't promise the same with Gem. She'll come around though. You were one of her favorites after all. Just give it time."

"Yes sir."

Leaving the room, Happy went outside to smoke and was shortly joined by Jax. After lighting the cigarette Happy offered him, Jax took a deep drag.

"What was that all about?" Jax questioned.

"I guess he just wanted to give his blessing."

"Hmm," Jax replied. "Now it's just getting ma off your back."

"She keeps going and Lex will set her straight. She's getting pretty fed up."

"They used to have the worst blowouts when we were younger," Jax said with a laugh. "I think they both hate to admit they're identical."

"Most definitely." Taking the last drag and flicking his cigarette butt into the lot Happy continued, "I'm gonna go crash. I'm pretty beat."

"Sounds good. See ya tomorrow brotha. Congrats again by the way."

"Thanks."

Happy walked to Lexi's car and grabbed her bag from the trunk before heading back inside. Once there he was quick to avoid everyone and make his way back to his room. When there were visiting charters parties tended to last well into the morning but Happy was ready to crawl into bed with Lexi and pass out. Tomorrow he could continue the tug of war with his soon to be mother in law. After putting away Lexi's clothes in their respective places in the dresser or closet as to not bother his OCD, he crawled into bed with her and was out within minutes.

Lexi awoke freezing. As she looked around she noticed Happy who was usually her main source of heat had rolled over to the far side of the bed taking most of the blankets with him.

"Jerk," she muttered to herself before getting an evil grin. Lexi slowly scooted herself closer to Happy, careful not to touch him until she was ready when all of a sudden he grumbled.

"If you touch me with what I'm sure is freezing ass feet, there will be hell to pay," He told her without rolling over.

Deciding against his warning and her better judgement she wrapped her whole body around his. Happy instantly started to wiggle free from her grasp while Lexi took her chance and rolled back away from him, stealing the blankets in the process.

"Was that necessary woman?" He asked. Definitely not ready to be awake.

"Someone's grumpy this morning," she retorted with a giggle. "I got cold."

"You're always cold."

"Minor details. What's the plan for today?"

"What time is it?" He asked not willing to open his eyes to look at the clock.

"Little after 8."

"Get dressed and we can go home so you can start going through the baby shit you got last night while I sleep. If we're quick about it we may beat Gemma out since it's still pretty early."

"Oh? You think you're getting out of going through baby shit? Also, I need coffee to warm up," She told him getting out of bed. "Want some?"

"Yeah, I feel like I'll need it today."

As she rolled over him she gave him a quick peck on the lips after seeing her bag in the corner. Reaching for it she noticed it was empty so she moved on to the dresser knowing her clothes would be in the third drawer down just like at home. Sure enough, there perfectly placed in the drawer were her pajamas and clean undergarments. Pulling on a pair of sweats and grabbing one of Happy's t-shirts from the closet she walked towards the door.

"No bra?" He asked from the bed watching her dress.

"Eh not to worried. Everyone should realize who I belong to after last night. If they're still stupid enough to mess with me, I trust you'll defend my honor."

"Trying to start wars already."

"Gotta keep life interesting babe," She told him walking out the door.

Once arriving in the main room she saw a few crow eaters cleaning. Lexi asked the one closest to her where the kitchen was and made her way there for some coffee. Before entering though, she happened to catch the conversation going on inside.

"He's probably only going along with it because she's SAMCRO's little princess. Not like it matters, from the shit I've heard, it's probably not even his."

"Seriously?"

"Oh yeah! She's got quite the reputation. Hell it wouldn't surprise me if she's fucking Kozik too! Bec said they're all living there."

"I just don't understand. It's not like Happy to be tied down."

"My thoughts exactly! I am a little disappointed though, he was one of the best fucks we had here!"

"Fucking bitches," Lexi thought to herself. Deciding she wasn't going to just stay in the hall anymore she made herself known to the woman by loudly walking through the door.

"Speaking of the whore herself," a blonde whispered to her friend as they continued making breakfast.

"What was that?" Lexi asked. She wasn't looking for a fight this morning but clearly others were.

"Oh good morning! Didn't see you come in! I'm Kami and this is Andrea. Can I get you anything?" The blonde asked in a fake cheery voice.

"Sure, you can quit this petty fake nice bullshit and leave mine and Happy's names out of your nasty mouth."

"Excuse me?"

"Don't play dumb, I heard what you said before I came in. I may not know how SAMTAC is ran, but it'd do you some good to learn some respect for the member's old ladies," Lexi told her walking towards the coffee pot in the corner.

"You're way out of line. Don't think this is SAMCRO where the royal family just runs shit how ever they feel," Kami said stepping away from the counter and crossing her arms.

"Hey, you get that coffee yet?" Happy asked walking in the room.

"Just getting to it now," Lexi told him turning to pour it ignoring Kami's comment.

"Thanks babe," He told her kissing the top of her head before bringing his mouth near her ear where he whispered, "Everything okay?"

A simple nod of the head was his only answer before she passed him his coffee.

"Here's the creamer you like Happy," Kami spouted from the other side of the room.

"I prefer my coffee black. Lex, hoodie," he told her grabbing her coffee so she could put the hoodie on before going in the cold.

"Thanks. Ready?"

"Yeah let's go home," He told her wrapping his arms over her shoulder and leading her out. Once they got outside he asked, "What was that all about?"

"Little cunt thought she was cute talking shit until I caught her and confronted her."

"Jesus woman. First night I bring you here and you're already looking to start fights," he said opening the car door for her.

"I didn't come looking to start a fight. I just told her to keep our names out of her mouth. She's the one who popped off that the twins aren't yours."

"Fucking hell. I'll be back," He informed her turning back towards the club house.

"Hey where's Koz and Bec? Do we need to grab them before heading home?" She asked hoping to change the subject and distract him. She knew how protective he got and it could turn bad quickly.

"Koz went home with the prospect last night to grab his bike. They'll get home when they get there."

"Okay well let's go then. I'm getting hungry."

"Sure are needy this morning."

"You have no idea."
