End of the Term

May 31st, 1993
Harry's POV
"And what a wonderful year it has been. Another has come and gone, and yet I find myself always surprised by how much you all have grown. I must congratulate our seventh years, who's last days in these halls are upon them. I hope they have the best options available, and that they welcome the next steps in life. As for the rest of you, you have all done fabulously, and I couldn't be more pleased." Dumbledore spoke out, making his year end speech.
As always, the odd man was being dramatic, but we all accepted it as if it was normal.
"As for the house cup, the standing is this. For fourth place, Hufflepuff, at 341 points, for third place, Slytherin, at 359 points, for second place, Ravenclaw, at 371 points. As for the winner, congratulations to Gryffindor, at 411 points. As well as winning the house cup, two members were awarded Special Service Awards by Hogwarts, due to their assistance in stopping the attacks caused by a cursed artifact. Congratulations Mr. Potter and Mr. Weasley. And lastly is the Quidditch Cup, which will remain with Slytherin, as the last winners who were currently leading the score for the season, congratulations. Now, dig in." He clapped his hands, the food appearing on the table for everyone to eat.
Naturally, everyone avoided looking at what Ron ate, as the person in question was actively trying to eat from both hands at the same time. However, the food itself was amazing. Madam Pomfrey cleared me to eat whatever I wanted at the feast, so I was splurging, eating copious amounts of beef and potatoes. I saved some room too, as I was never going to skip the opportunity for some Treacle Tart. I spent the time chatting with Hermione, Neville, Ron, and the Weasley twins, both of whom were trying to deceive everyone into thinking they hadn't jinxed the Banana pudding. Most of the conversation was going on about exams, well, for any non-fifth or seventh year.
"How did you do on the exams, ickle Harrikins?" George, possibly George?, asked.
"I did well. I ranked seventh in our year overall. I would have ranked higher but my written tests are what held me back. My practical's were top three for Charms, Transfiguration, and Defense." I replied. Hermione huffed.
"Yes, he managed to beat me on the Charms written exam as well." she was faking annoyance, but I noticed she seemed more concerned though, I noted to talk to her about it soon.
"And how about you, Ron?" Fred? Asked.
"MHP p'ssed" came the muffled reply, having just stuffed his mouth with potatoes.
"Ron, I hope you did better than just passed. Mrs. Weasley will be furious if she found out you were doing as bad as Goyle." Neville joked. I laughed, while Ron scowled at both of us, and then the twins when they broke out laughing. Well, I wasn't going to not defend Ron.
"So twins ugly and uglier, what's this I hear about you two and some chasers?" I whispered, leaning closer so only they and Neville heard. It was something Katie mentioned to me at lunch, before embarrassing me again. Both immediately stopped laughing, fixing me with a stare that both scared and amused me.
"You have heard nothing of the sort." they both chorused out.
"Oh but I did! Maybe I should tell them?" Their eyes went wide. "Or maybe tell Oliver?"
"NO!" they both seemed deathly afraid. "What do you want?"
"Oh nothing now, but it does make for some good blackmail, you know?" As I finished speaking, I immediately turned to Hermione, not giving the two time to respond. "So you said you are going on vacation this summer?"
"Yes, to France. It is going to be 11 days, and mostly time on the beach and sightseeing locally. I wonder where I could find the magical districts there? It would be fascinating to read some books of theirs." She responded, getting a gleam in her eye.
"You could always ask Professor Flitwick, he traveled for dueling and would know." I responded.
"I think I will." Hermione replied, only seconds later falling back into normal conversation about different things, talking with Neville a lot, who was helping her understand the magical world better. It had been amusing when he introduced her to house elves. She was adamant that they were slaves, until I asked why they willingly subjected themselves as servants. After being told wizard magic was how they lived, and that having the bond of servitude was important, it made me worry about Dobby.
Dobby might be a mad house elf, but he still deserved to live. I would need to find him soon and make sure he has someone to bond with.
"May I have your attention please!" Dumbledore called out. "I had only one more announcement for you. As always, the train will be leaving at ten in the morning. Breakfast will be served from six am to nine am. Do not worry about taking your trunks down, but do have them packed by 9:45 so the elves. Again, I wish the best for you all, and have a good summer." Dumbledore called out.
I watched as he entered the teacher's chamber, leaving us all to finish eating, which wasn't very long. Heading back to the tower, I made sure I had everything packed even though I wasn't going back to Privet drive. Dumbledore had given me permission to ride back on the train, and was meeting with my relatives in the evening, they had been given notice of him meeting with them. I had my old trunk, empty, for anything I had left in my room. There probably wasn't much, but I was sure there were a few things. It was then that they were going to get told I wasn't coming back. It'd be an interesting day tomorrow.
Monday…
"Ready to head down to the train?" Hermione asked. Neville and I both glanced at Ron.
"Yes." He glared at us, "Those two kept harassing me this morning because I wasn't packed.
"They were right to, maybe you should be getting ready sooner instead of procrastinating so much." Hermione replied, Ron sulked even more, but didn't say anything more on the topic. He had already eaten, so at least he wasn't hangry too. It was a matter of time till he got that way though with how often the boy wanted his food.
We made our way down to the train, still having some time to spare thankfully. The twins stopped by, making a bit of ruckus before I brought up who they fancy, making them decide that we were unworthy to be targets. Ron huffed when I wouldn't tell him who. Hermione just smiled though, she knew. It wasn't long though before the train started moving, and there was a knock on the door.
"Hi, can we sit here? Hannah, Tracy, and Su Li are off with a few of their other friends freaking out over some drama and it isn't something the two of us felt like listening to for the next hour." It was Susan Bones, with a girl that looked familiar, but that I didn't know the name of. She also looked the epitome of wealthy, so I guessed she was another heiress.
"Yea, of course, none of us bite." I replied, getting an odd look from Hermione. Ron was busy eating a chocolate frog, and Neville seemed afraid of answering. "In case you don't know everyone, Ron Weasley over there in the corner with the frog, Hermione Granger across from him, Neville Longbottom, who is the Heir of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Longbottom on my right here, and I am Harry Potter, Heir of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter." I held my hand out.
She hesitated, before offering hers, allowing me to 'kiss' the back of her hand, though not actually doing it.
"Huh Potter, you are ever the enigma. Daphne Greengrass, Heiress of the Most Ancient and Most Noble house of Greengrass." She responded. Her face gave nothing away. Interesting, Occlumency maybe? What also piqued my interest was the number of Heirs or Heiresses in here, which counting all three of mine individually, made six out of seven Most Ancient and Most Noble houses. Considering the seventh has none, as the last remaining member is in Azkaban and unable to have kids now, made things pretty interesting.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Greengrass. Call me Harry though, otherwise I might think you are trying to kill me." I joked, getting smacked by Hermione.
"Not funny Harry, even if it is somewhat true." She scolded. Daphne seemed to think for a moment, before speaking.
"Call me Daphne." Ron stared at her before suddenly half yelling.
"You're the Ice Queen of Slytherin!" Ron glared slightly. Daphne just raised her eyebrow. "Harry, she is a snake, she can't sit here!"
I just looked at him for a moment. "Ron, if it wasn't for Malfoy, I would be in Slytherin. As it was, I had to argue with the hat to not put me there. So play nice. Maybe not all snakes are evil."
"But, she could be spying for Malfoy!" He replied frustrated.
"Why would Malfoy need a spy? The git stops by every train ride to harass me anyways. I swear the hat got him far too confused. He screams Gryffindor by acting a fool all of the time, and the level of loyalty he shows his father, especially when he gets in trouble, makes him a quintessential Hufflepuff." I replied.
"Hey! Don't you dare try and make him a Puff problem! We don't want him!" Susan replied indignantly. Daphne smirked slightly.
"Please take him, I get tired of hearing "My father…" or "Harry bloody Potter…". His recent favorite is "Harry bloody potter, Dumbledore Junior in the making!" something I find hilarious." Daphne let out.
"Shocker. Malfoy acts a git even in his own house" Ron replied, a bit of attitude behind it.
"If he wasn't the heir to the House of Black, he would be nothing. I still want to see the ring on his finger first, before I go accepting that he is. I would think if he was, he would be throwing it in everyone's face." I had to suppress a snort. I could utterly destroy Draco's power in Slytherin if I revealed it. Dumbledore asked me not to though, so I was going to listen.
Thankfully, Hermione brought up exams, and we sat and talked about those and our summer plans. It turned out that Susan was also going to the Dueling finals for England, but not the world finals after. She apparently lived with her aunt and her aunt took time off work to go. Apparently, before Riddle fell, most of her family was killed in order to attempt to stop the influence of the House of Bones, leaving only the two of them alive. I felt a connection towards her, even if I was still working on forgiving most of the students for ostracizing me last term.
They left around an hour after they got there, and not long after, we got another visitor, one far less pleasant, but a visitor nonetheless. The only notice of his arrival being the door slamming open.
"Well look at this, Longbottom really is disgracing his family name by hanging out with the mudbloods and blood traitors." He sneered, still oddly like his father. His two bookends trying to make themselves look imposing while smiling like the idiots they are.
"Well, being in a compartment with you certainly doesn't help. Your family barely counts as noble." I replied. "Besides, I hear Lucius was once a Death Eater. Surely that isn't good for his reputation."
"Don't talk about my father like that Potter. Your mother was a mudblood. It wasn't surprising that she died." He snarled out. Everyone held their breath, waiting for me to react. I calmly stood up, containing my anger with all of my ability.
"You say such things, and I think I finally know why. You aren't a loved child. Acting out in hopes that you get your father's approval. Dreaming of the day when your mother and father love you like mine did. You're pathetic, a spoiled child. Flaunting arrogance because people fear your father. You expect to be treated like your father does, yet you are nothing compared to him, compared to even your classmates. You are nothing, nothing but a bully with a bit of money. You could be better, a person worth being around, but you choose to be shallow, choose to be the petty and arrogant person you are. And I am sick of you, sick of your brashness, and sick of seeing you. Get out."
My first words were said in a quiet voice, but at the end, when I knew I had ruined his day, I was over being peaceful, and near the end, there was a venom in my tone, and a confidence he had never seen. And at my final words, my control slipped and my magic shoving him from the compartment, knocking him and his two bookends over and into the other side of the car. I simply closed the door, and took a few deep breaths before sitting back down.
Silence reigned in the compartment as Malfoy got up, staring at the door, before walking away. Clearly he wasn't sure what to make of his visit. Hopefully, at the least, he would leave me alone. But given his track record, I was doubtful.
"Bloody hell Harry, that was terrifying, inspiring, and hilarious." Ron exclaimed. Hermione eyed me for a moment.
"Was that the best thing you could have done? Saying those things?" She asked.
"Harry could have done far worse, Hermione. If he had wanted to, he could have gone to the Daily Prophet, ruined the Malfoy's reputation, then he could have taken it to the Wizengamot, and ruined them financially or labeled them Blood Traitors. Harry probably did the least worse thing, outside of not reacting at all. If they had been adults, Harry could have taken Draco's life, and no one could have stopped him.." Neville responded.
Some of this was news to me, but some of it had been explained before. "Draco's words were exactly how to start a Blood Feud, which could have allowed me to wipe the family out, at least, once or if I was the Lord of my houses. Only Lords could start such things. However, as last of my line, I could have ruined the Malfoy name, though it would have been too much effort."
Hermione digested this, before dragging Neville into a conversation about everything and how the Ancient families worked. Of course, her thirst for knowledge lasted until the trip was over, which was nearly six in the evening.
After quick goodbyes, promises to write, and at least two hugs from Hermione, both of which had quit being so rough, I finally walked over to see my relatives looking less than happy.
"About time boy. If you hurry I might decide against more punishment." Vernon ground out, turning and storming to the front of the station where his Mercedes was parked. I followed at a more sedate pace, and arriving at the car, carefully sat my trunk in the boot, before getting in, avoiding Dudley.
He started driving, clearly angry, though whether it was me, traffic, work, or Dumbledore, I couldn't tell. "What does that freaky professor of yours want?" He almost shouted, cussing right after as someone cut him off.
"He wishes to speak to you. I don't know the details." I lied. I knew better than to say much on my own.
"Worthless. Fine. But he better not stand out. I won't tolerate his freakishness defiling our good standing." Vernon replied.
I could tell Petunia was more concerned about why he might visit, compared to Vernon being afraid of another magical being at the house. I said nothing though. Remaining quiet as Vernon's temper continued to rise. I knew I should be afraid, but I wasn't. Soon enough though, we were finally back to Privet Drive.
"Hurry up boy!" Vernon hissed out, as I grabbed my trunk. We went into the house, and I carried my trunk up the stairs, leaving it sitting in the middle of the room. Vernon hadn't asked for my wand or broom, or everything else, but that was probably due to Dumbledore's planned visit. I heard a scream, followed by yelling. So I made my way back downstairs.
"I did tell you I would be waiting for your arrival back home? Why you are surprised I do not know." I heard Dumbledore say.
"Headmaster, I hope you aren't already scaring them? After all, it would mean that I missed it." I quipped. He just gave me a small smile.
"Only a small scare, they were unprepared for me to already be here." He replied, sitting down on the couch. I followed and sat next to him.
"Sorry headmaster, they might not have understood that you meant your letter literally." I eyed Vernon, who was turning purple with rage.
"Sit!" Dumbledore commanded, seeing my uncle take steps towards us. I could feel a bit of magic radiating from him. And looking over, his wand was laying leisurely in his hand. Vernon stilled at the command, eying Dumbledore warily.
"I will not be threatened in my own home!" He yelled.
"You will sit and listen." Dumbledore said, flicking his wand. All three Dursleys were forced to sit, Vernon on his recliner, and Petunia and Dudley on the love seat.
"It has come to my attention that Harry here has been treated quite poorly. We found, after two medical ex-" Dumbledore spoke, getting interrupted.
"I don't know what that freak has told you, but he is lying!" Vernon roared, standing back up shakily. Dumbledore flicked his wand, sending Vernon back into the chair.
"I have already verified that what I know is true, and I know you are lying Mr. Dursley." Dumbledore responded. "Harry has been through two medical exams, both confirming that there have been dozens of broken bones, some of which will still need treatment, along with moderate malnourishment. As it is, you should be arrested, both of you, and your son sent away."
Petunia whimpered. She might have been harsh to me, but she still loved her son, though too much to enforce any good habits into him.
"Harry has instead only requested he be taken away. So as of today, he is no longer a resident here. When you took him in, you agreed to nurture him, care for him like he was your own. You did not, instead leaving him in a cupboard to starve, giving him only enough to live while treating him as a slave. The best thing that can be said is that you didn't do the same to your own son." Dumbledore spoke.
"We would never treat our Dudders like that." Petunia spoke in fear. "He isn't a freak" Vernon asked.
"And you are not? What family does that to another of their own, just for there being something different between you?" Dumbledore snarled, finally losing his calm façade. "I have seen the darkest wizards still treat their children better than you treated Harry. Magicals around the world would have fought and killed one another for the chance to raise him properly, and they would happily have killed you for how you have treated him!" Dumbledore yelled, losing a bit more of his composure as magic cackled across his hands, escaping his control. He stopped, taking a breath.
"My poor choices allowed that, I never should have brought him here. Your only saving grace was the blood wards stopping anyone with ill intent from finding him. The wards will be gone when we leave, and you should hope to be gone before word gets out about how Harry was treated, as some may seek retribution. This isn't a warning, this is Harry making sure he has all of his stuff before he leaves for good. It will only be at his discretion to talk to you again. Harry, go grab your things." he said, calming down some.
I walked back upstairs, hoping that there wasn't much. I had always heard the rumors that the slightly mad grandfatherly persona was just that, a face to cover the teacher and the battle hardened warrior, but I hadn't believed it. Not until Lucius came around, and again it proved true when Vernon provoked him. It made me realize that despite him being older, he was no worse for wear, and that Riddle had a reason to fear him.
I was lucky I only had a few books and some old essays laying around, along with a few inkwells. The Dursleys hadn't allowed me more than my books, and most of that had been taken away after Dobby had made a mess of things. Having everything put in my trunk, I dragged my trunk back downstairs. Walking back in the living room, it was clear the environment was still tense.
"I've got everything." Dumbledore nodded.
"Let us leave then, we do not wish to hang around such Freaks like them." He replied as the Dursleys flinched from being called such a thing. Flicking his wand at my trunk, I watched as it faded and disappeared, and with a gesture, I followed him outside into the back yard.
"This will be quite loud, so cover your ears. Do not worry, only those who live here, or are within the property will hear the wards break. It is a special technique of mine." Dumbledore spoke, and once I had my ears covered, he started working.
His wand tip glowed, and with a few waves, red and pale blue lit up in a dome, revealing what I guessed to be were the wards. I could feel the hum of the magic in them, barely, but I could. It was obvious that they were sufficiently drained. I watched as Dumbledore's mouth moved, and after half a minute, a spell launched from his wand, impacting the dome. The boom from the wards breaking was intense, shaking me and setting off the car alarm in front of the house.
If I hadn't covered my ears, it probably would have been a repeat of the lightning bolt incident.
The headmaster tapped my arm, and I lowered my hands from my head. He swished his wand towards the garden, and then nodded.
"The wards are gone and the stone was vanished. We have no more reason to be here. Let us return to the castle, and I will show you your room once we have eaten." He spoke quietly.
I took his offered arm, and after being squeezed through a tube, we were at the front gates of the castle once more. He turned, and started walking up.
"Are you alright? I know that could not have been easy for you."
"Yes professor, I am ok. Truth be told, that was a large weight off of my shoulders." I replied.
"I told you Harry, you may call me Albus. We are not going to stand on ceremony all of the time. Only when we must. If you continue to call me such respectful titles, I will be forced to call you Hadrian, or Heir Potter-Black-Evans-Slytherin-Peverell. That is quite the mouthful." He replied, much to my horror.
"I will NOT be called that!" I exclaimed.
"No, mostly you will end up going by Heir Potter-Black, or just the one for the family a person wishes to speak. For instance, calling you Heir Potter to speak with you on matters between them and House of Potter." He explained.
We made the rest of the walk in silence. At first, I had wanted to question why we entered the grounds through the gate, but I understood quickly. The sun was setting over the Western Tower, leaving rays to cross the castle, and it looked beautiful. Almost as good as the first night seeing the castle from the pond in first year. Though it lacked that 'first time seeing it' and the awe of the structure, there was something different seeing it like this. The serenity of it, the part that makes you want to stay in the moment forever, was just captivating.
Maybe it was just everything piled together. Not having the dark magic in my scar, having good relationships with my friends, the knowledge of not going back to my relatives again, and the pure beauty of the night, but truthfully, this moment right here, is one I would love to live in for the rest of my life. No fears, no concerns, just the view and the lack of stress, maybe it is why they always say 'to run off into the sunset'.
Soon enough though, we were in the Great Hall. Walking in was confusing to me, because all of the tables were up against the wall, the benches set up on top, with just a large oval table with roughly twelve individual seats sitting in the middle of the room. Only seven teachers were there, namely McGonagall, Flitwick, Snape, Sinestra, Hagrid, and two I didn't recognize.
"Ah you are back Harry. How was the train ride?" McGonagall asked.
"Fine professor, I met a new friend, Daphne Greengrass, and got to become better friends with Susan Bones. Neville also went into lecture mode about politics and rules for respect. It was a productive trip." I replied, sitting down across from her.
Snape eyed me for a minute, before going back to his food. Outside of lessons, he hadn't spoken to me. I had the feeling he was avoiding me, but I wasn't pressing it. Hagrid, of course, immediately started talking to me, happy to have me around more.
"'Hats good Harry! It's al'ays good to have a few frien's from other houses." He said cheerfully.
"Indeed, it is actually the reason we use the train. It gives the new students time to make friends before they are sorted, and allows other students time to talk with one another before being sent to their common rooms." Dumbledore spoke.
"Why not make some of the empty classrooms into rooms for students to relax and study in. We could transfigure old desks into other furniture, and have the elves keep out water and pumpkin juice for everyone? Make it into a space for all students to be able to gather and relax, outside of the library." I asked.
"Hm, it isn't a bad idea. Perhaps change a dozen rooms over in the east wing of the second floor?" McGonagall said, looking at Dumbledore.
"I can't see why not. Those rooms are seldom used, and generally by students to study or practice magic in. If you would like to take the time, feel free, and take Harry too, as he came up with the idea." He said, smiling in my direction. Of course, I get to help.
Most of the talking then revolved around the seventh years and how the classes went, what preparations were needed for next year, and who they could try and find for the Defense post, as the Auror had already said he did not wish to leave the Ministry. I kept quiet for most of it, but I did get to talk to Professor Flitwick about the U-18 Dueling Finals, which was supposed to be in London. It meant we would simply Floo to the Leaky Cauldron, and then walk the few blocks to the arena they had set up in an abandoned building.
Once I was done eating, and Dumbledore was ready, we made our way up to the third floor where the Headmaster's office was. "Before we go see your room, I ask that you select a password to access it. Nothing that has to do with sweets, just so no one can accidentally find your room." Dumbledore spoke.
I sat in thought for a moment, before coming up with my answer. "Royal Thunderbird"
He smiled, and the stone guardian, who apparently was called 'Tobain', accepted my request, before opening the stairs. We ascended with them, where a platform started halfway up for a doorway, before the stairs continued the rest of the way to the headmasters office.
I looked at said headmaster, and he gestured 'you first' towards the door, so I opened it, revealing a large room, roughly 15 feet by 15 feet. It had a much larger bed sitting to the right wall, probably a double bed, with light crème and dark green colors matching the rest of the room, and mixing surprisingly well. A dark oak desk sat on the left wall, easily large enough to have three books and stuff to write on it, with windows to both sides of it, and bookshelves lined both sides of the door we entered.
"This is incredible Albus" I said excitedly, remembering to not be formal at the last moment.
"That it is, Harry. I wonder what is behind the door." he replied, gesturing to a door next to the bookcase, which I had missed.
Walking over, I opened the door and found a nice bathroom, slate gray tiles covering most of it, with a large bath, and a shower with blue stained glass next to it. Honestly, probably the nicest bathroom I had ever seen. Looking over, there was an opening past the sink, showing a walk in closet.
Apparently, I was truly spoiled with how nice my room was.
"I must say, I am a little jealous of your color schemes. If only my bathroom was so bright, but alas, I have bright white tiles." Dumbledore commented, smiling the whole time.
"Hm, color changing charms?" I commented. He just looked at me with raised eyebrows, before sighing and looking down.
"All of these years, and a simple first year charm could've done it." he muttered. Leaving me laughing at his joke, as if he didn't know how to change it.
"Are you in need of anything Harry?" he asked, as we walked back into the main bedroom.
"I would like to make a trip to my family heirloom vaults, and to wander the alley for a bit soon. Otherwise, I just need to unpack and get some rest. Professor Flitwick has already warned me of Dueling practice every other day starting tomorrow, and Aunt Minnie wants to spend time with me. Though I cannot tell if it is to teach me more, or to just spend time with me." I responded.
"I will have Minerva take you to the alley on a day you don't have training with Filius. I also wish to ask for some time from you in the evenings, to teach you more about politics, along with your abilities. Both Occlumency and Legilimency need training properly, and I wish to oversee your ability with wandless magic. Having it is both a blessing and a curse, as it is a bit harder to control, and most often results in injuries to yourself." he spoke, noticing my look of concern. "Do not worry, nothing we do will be too strenuous for a while yet."
I nodded, and after he told me which elf to call if I needed anything, Dumbledore left me, giving me the time to unpack. As I did, I started thinking back, and marveled at the changes in my life. Before now, I was more timid, withdrawn, feared by most of the school, while being an average wizard for my age at best. Since I died and talked to my parents, I strived to be only the best, rapidly catching up on the learning I had skived from, while actively pushing my body and mind further. The clarity thinking was something I wasn't used to, nor was the ability to control my magic, something that made me feel a lot better, and trust myself a lot more.
And my body. Between working out, the potions treatments, and Dueling, my body had felt much better than it ever had, something I had never imagined. It made life completely different, waking up pain free, not feeling aches and creaking in my bones in the cold, being able to use my left hand better since it had been broken by Dudley when I was nine. Not only that, but I had begun to notice at the end of the year that girls were looking at me, which I certainly wasn't complaining about. Even more entertaining had been the discovery that looking at any girl with puppy eyes could easily get them to cave, something I used against Hermione often in the last few days when she kept trying to go to the library to study what she might have missed.
After finishing unpacking, I called an elf for some hot tea, before taking a shower. Getting out, I tossed on some pajamas, before heading to sit in my bed. I had improved on my Occlumency quite a bit, but I still was disappointed my mindscape shields weren't coming along as well as I hoped. I needed to speak to Dumbledore soon about that, or maybe see if I could find a different book with more explanation on protecting from Legilimency.
It wasn't much later when I gave up, and floated the book across the room, and laid down under the covers. And only a few minutes later, succumbing to my tiredness of the events of the day.
A/N: Below are the spells not from canon that I have used so far. Hopefully you guys enjoy it. I apologize if I butchered talking like Hagrid does. I don't believe I will be able to get that one right, so I might very well not do it, and hope you all imagine his voice for it instead. As for the Dursleys, I didn't believe they deserved much time, and truthfully, after this chapter, they may only be mentioned once or twice. Otherwise, here is another chapter for you all.
Fulmen Solpora- Lightning blast. Shoots a ball of lightning that explodes on impact
Fulmen Sol- Basic lightning bolt, loud and bright when fired, golden white in color
Fluitan Lux- Forms a small ball of light, floats where you direct it (Chapter 5 I believe)
