"What is he talking about?" Kiba asked as he looked at Hinata.
"I don't know." Hinata said in disbelief. As Naruto and Zabuza had their warm up, Hinata was able to heal Kurenai, and assisted with rescuing Anko. Now, the four ninja witg Tazuna watched the blond reveal whatever he was hiding.
"Sensei, shouldn't we be helping him? Yeah he's strong, but he's like us, isn't he?" Hinata asked.
Kurenai sighed and gave her students a sad smile. "No, he's nothing like you two or any other genin in the village." Anko said sharply while watching the two before her.
"What do you mean?" Kiba asked.
"Ever since Naruto was a mere child, he's trained harder than anyone and pushed himself harder than anyone ever has. While I don't know his exact skill set, he could probably go head to head with most chunin and some jonin." Anko said.
"Incredible. Then why is he a genin? If he's that skilled, shouldn't he be a chunin?" Kiba asked.
"No Kiba. Naruto's situation is different. While he may be this powerful, veteran shinobi attitude man, he's a fragile boy underneath that mask." Kurenai said.
"I don't understand." Hinata added in.
"Just watch. You'll see." Kurenai said and the squad watched.
Naruto's arms and legs were bright glowing red. Not long after, his entire body glowed red before it vanished. Zabuza looked with a confused expression. "Don't worry, I just had to remove the resistant seals on my body." Naruto said.
"Huh? Resistant seals?" Zabuza asked.
"That's right. I apologize for underestimating you. However, from here on out, we'll battle to the death, no holding back." Naruto said as he got into the serpent Taijutsu style.
"Interesting stance. You and that woman are similar." Zabuza commented as he drew his sword and prepared to strike.
"Of course, she's my original sensei. Now, enough talking." Naruto said as he charged in a mere blur. The speed has Zabuza's eyes opened wide. While expecting a punch to his front, he wasn't expecting a punch to the back of his head.
"How? No way you could have moved with such speed!" Zabuza roared.
"I don't know, I'm pretty fast." Naruto said.
"Water Release - Bloody Piercing Rain!" Zabuza shouted as the water from the lake formed into the sky. As each drop came down, Naruto's body received multiple stab wounds from the rain.
"Damn, that really hurt." Naruto said as he dropped to a knee. "Wind Release - Great Breakthrough!" Naruto roared as he released a gust of wind that send Zabuza flying back.
Naruto stood with his arms crossed and smirk. However, he was soon attacked by multiple water dragons that struck him in the chest. Following up with the attack, Zabuza sent multiple water slashes from his chakra enhanced blade.
The slashes connected against Naruto's body. Quickly, he created nine shadow clones and they were sent towards the mist ninja. As they jumped on top, they were all dispelled instantly.
"Haha! That wasn't enough! You're dead!" Zabuza roared. However, Naruto smirked and vanished in a flash. He pierced his sword through Zabuza's stomach, causing the Jonin to go wide-eye.
"Impossible, you didn't even throw a kunai. How could you use the jutsu?" Zabuza asked.
"Look at your arm." Naruto pointed out.
Zabuza looked over and couldn't believe that Naruto had a Hiraishin seal on his arm. "Remember when my clones charged at you? It wasn't for the hell of it. No, I needed to mark you. Now, I can strike you at any place in any location." Naruto said.
Instantly, the form of Zabuza exploded, sending Naruto into the trees, causing a massive explosion. "Brat, you're nothing more than a genin, maybe low to mid chunin. But you're no match for a real jonin." Zabuza said.
However, Naruto appeared in the sky with a blue orb of chakra. As he charged at Zabuza with his Rasengan, the hidden mist ninja wasn't able to move fast enough from the damage received from Naruto.
The blond connected his Rasengan to Zabuza's stomach, causing him to yell in pain. After the connection was complete, Zabuza was sent spinning away into the trees, greatly damaging his body.
Naruto stood with his arms crossed, Sharingan eyes activated. "It's over, Zabuza. You can't defeat me." Naruto said in a cold tone.
Zabuza moaned and used all his might to stand up. "You, how do you know those jutsu?" Zabuza asked.
"My father was a genius. It shouldn't be a surprise that I mastered his two jutsu." Naruto said.
"It's time, it's time I bring this battle to an end." Zabuza said as he went through multiple hand seals. "Water Release - Hydro Blast Exploding Death!" Zabuza roared as the water formed around Naruto's body.
"I must say, it isn't often that I'm pushed to use this jutsu." Zabuza said as he clapped his hands together, creating a massive explosion.
Team eight couldn't believe the size of the explosion. Even Anko's eyes went wide with her fist clenched at the thought of how damaged Naruto was.
"Ouch, that really hurt." Naruto said as he was breathing heavily. His shirt and pants were torn up. Zabuza started trembling slightly.
"No, that's impossible... Nobody has ever survived that jutsu." Zabuza commented.
"Then I guess it's time. This has been fun, but my body is slowly giving out on me." Naruto said with a chuckle.
"What?" Zabuza asked but found himself being held on to by the multiple shadow clones. However, he didn't realize they were snakes that held him in place.
"Lightning Release - Twin Lightning Fox!" Naruto shouted as he released two figures of lightning that took the form of a fox. When the two foxes connected, thanks to all the water around, it further amplified the jutsu, causing Zabuza to yell from the pain.
"It's over!" Naruto shouted as he used to Hiraishin to flash in front of him with another Rasengan in his hand. The jutsu was slammed into the man's chest and he was sent crashing into the trees.
"You were a powerful shinobi Zabuza. Had it not been for the training I've done and learning what my sensei's taught me, I'd of been killed. I will give you an honorable death." Naruto said.
Suddenly, two senbon needles pierced through Zabuza's neck. This caught everyone by surprise. Standing before them, one of Kirigakure's tracker ninja appeared. "Thank you. I've been hunting Zabuza for awhile. I apologize for not stepping sooner. However, I need to wait until he was in a positioning of vulnerability." Explained the tracker.
Naruto narrowed his eyes and placed his fingers against Zabuza's neck to search for a pulse. The blond chuckled before turning away. "Hey, tracker ninja?" Naruto called out.
As the tracker through Zabuza over his shoulder, he looked at the blond. "Yes?" Asked the ninja.
Naruto smirked. "Make sure you heal Zabuza completely. I would like a rematch." Naruto said as the two vanished. The rest of team eight ran over to Naruto.
"Dude, that was incredible! I had no idea how strong you were." Kiba said.
"How did you get so strong? Even most of our villages prodigies couldn't do what you did." Hinata chimed in.
Naruto chuckled sheepishly. "Well, I had some good teachers. Anyway, let's head on out. I'm pretty hungry." Naruto said.
Everyone watched in disbelief that Naruto still had energy. "Naruto, are you alright?" Kurenai asked.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Naruto asked.
"Three, two, one." Anko muttered. Instantly, Naruto passed out. "Idiot." Anko muttered as she grabbed the blond and through him over her shoulders.
"Is Naruto alright?" Hinata asked.
"Yeah, yeah. He just used too much chakra. He'll be fine after some food and sleep." Anko said.
"Tazuna, how far away is your house?" Kurenai asked the bridge builder.
"Um, it's about an hour away." Tazuna said as he was tryi mg to wrap his brain around what happened.
After about an hour, they arrived at Tazuna's house. They were greeted by his daughter, Tsunami. "Dad, you're alright!" Tsunami called out.
"Yes, I'm perfectly fine. However, can we get a bed made for this boy?" Tazuna asked.
"Huh? Is he alright? It looks like he could use a doctor." The woman said.
"No, the Gaki is fine." Anko said.
"Alright, give me a few moments and I'll have him set up." Tsunami said. Anko threw the knocked out blond on the couch as she sat at the kitchen table.
"Alright, there is something we need to discuss." Anko said.
"It's about what Naruto said." Kurenai added in.
"What do you mean?" Kiba asked.
"Kiba, remember when that tracker ninja grabbed Zabuza? Naruto told him to heal Zabuza." Hinata explained.
"That's right. I don't know how much damage he received, so we'll have to ask Naruto. But this is what we'll do. Everyday we will train. Anko and I will alternate who trains you two and who guards Tazuna at the bridge." Kurenai explained.
"What about Naruto? If he's going to fight Zabuza again, shouldn't he trajn with us?" Kiba asked.
"Naruto will train on his own. His methods seem to work better than what others can provide. Anyway, we'll make today a rest day and start tomorrow. Kiba, you and Naruto will bunk in Naruto's room. Anko, myself, and Hinata will sleep in the second guest room." Kurenai said.
"Yes, Kurenai sensei." The two genin said. Tsunami walked into the kitchen and declared that the room was set up.
"Dog boy, take whiskers to his room." Anko said. Kiba nodded and followed the instructions.
For the rest of the day, the group rested and took it easy. Kiba and Akamaru played in the front yard, Hinata was reading one of her books, Kurenai was talking with Tazuna, and Anko was sitting on the couch, filing her nails with a kunai.
At the same time, one particular blond was sleeping. However, a peaceful sleep wasn't something he received. No, the young blond appeared to be in some kind of distress as his body continuously moved.
