Author note: since the trainer is already experienced, instead of introducing his entire team at once, I decided to introduce them little by little, since showing so many characters so quickly is a huge error.

[ ] is for Pokémon language

April 2, 2020 AD, Kanto

They had already passed 2 years after Sutibun's birth and adoption, the Riolu was raised by Kutengo, treating and loving it, not like a father, but still loving it. It learned to speak Pokémon language (which naturally humans don't understand), understand what its owner was saying, and he began to interact with the other creatures of his owner's team. Memories, hunches, and déjà vus were present, but they weren't as severe as they would be in the future.

Kutengo was a bit strange, he seemed to be preparing something, as if he was going on a trip somewhere. At first, the Riolu didn't pay much attention to it, he thought it was going to be a quick trip, how naive... The day had come, the human was carrying a strange white and red sphere, he approached the creature and told it.

–Sutībun, I need you to get in here, it won't hurt, it will be quick and you won't be there for long, just press the button in the middle–the young man told him, trying to explain it to the little Riolu.

–[w-what!? How do you want me to get into that!? It's so small that only a keychain can fit in, but well, if you say]–the Pokemon answered in its language, but, with no other option, it pressed the button in the center of the sphere.

At that moment, he felt as if his body was being teleported, it didn't hurt, but it felt strange, and his vision was blinded for a few seconds. When he recovered his vision, he was in a house, tidy, with food ready and everything was of a suitable height for his short stature.

–[Where am i? Where is Kuti? Why is everything so small?]–Sutibun wondered, not only noticing that, also that that environment wasn't natural– [There is something here that doesn't quite fit me...]

The Riolu inspected that place in detail, until it he found three buttons on a table, one blue said "see outside", another green said "communicate with the rest of the team", and the last one red said "exit".

–[What will these buttons do?]–she asked herself, not knowing how to read, she didn't know, much less understood what each one did, so she randomly pressed the blue button. At that moment, it would look the exterior from the point of view of the sphere with everything and sound was projected.

It showed what seemed to be a city with access to the sea, the sound of the waters relaxed him a lot. The sphere was in the Kutengo belt, which was moving towards what appeared to be a port.

-outside the Pokeball-

Kuchiba City, 9:30 AM

Kutengo was heading to the Kuchiba port, he had several papers, his ticket and his passport, which implied that he would leave the country.

Your papers, passport and ticket, young man–the security guard interrupted him

–Of course, here you are–he gave the guard his papers.

The guard inspected the boy's documents, realizing that he was someone who had traveled by boat before.

–{Kutengo Yamaragesu. Birth date:3/22/1999. Nationality:Kantese. Previous boat trip:4/12/2016}. Wait a minute... aren't you that boy who went to Kalos to participate in the league and was 2nd?–asked the guard

–hehe, you caught me, yes, I'm the same one, now I'm going to travel to the Alasia region–confirmed the young man

–that stay in South America, the trip is going to be too long–the guard commented to him

–I already knew the trip was going to be long, I brought enough for me and my creatures to survive–the boy said nonchalantly.

The guard, seeing the Pokeballs he was carrying his belt and that he had an experienced trainer ticket understood that last thing and let him pass to his ship:the XS Alpha.

-inside the Pokeball-

The Riolu was left with many more questions than answers, as well as very surprised by what had just to occur.

–(What happened? Did I see the outside?)–he asked himself, he wasn't at all familiar with this technology since it was his first time with it.

Out of curiosity, he also pressed the green button, which, when pushed, brought up what appeared to be 5 more screens. Despite that number, 4 were inactive, and only one was active; Amakira's, a Blastoise and the most veteran of the team, had a very experienced and teacher attitude, but was quite neutral and patient.

The environment shown on his screen was a beach one, with coasts that, although they were artificial, their detail was amazing. Without expecting anything, she tried to communicate with him by calling him.

–[A-Amakira?]–called the Riolu, and, to his surprise, the blue turtle heard him.

–[S-Sutibun?]–the Blastoise reacted to the little boy's call.

–[can you hear me? Are you here?]–asked the little boy, surprised that Amakira had heard him.

–[Yes, the fact that the Pokémon can communicate with each other is a feature of the current Pokeballs]–the Blastoise confirmed.

–[the...what?]–Sutibun was confused, since he didn't know what it was.

–[You see, they are spherical devices that are used to capture or store Pokémons and to be able to transport them much more easily, in short. The first time I was in one years ago, I was just as confused as you, but with time you get used to it, child]–explained the blue turtle

–[ah...I got it, and yes, it's my first time in one. That means that this sphere will be my refuge? What happens if another Pokémon or another type of being enters? How do you know all that?] –Riolu confessed, not understanding the environment, but the important thing, but he still had doubts.

–[Well, once a Pokeball has a stored Pokémon, it can only enter that same one, besides it can't be stored in others unless it breaks or is destroyed. With "other types of beings" such as humans, they can't be stored as they don't have an aura, energy which only we have and is the most important thing for these devices to work. I know because Kutengo explained it to me a long time ago, I still didn't fully understand-...Suti? Well, they must have already taken it out]–the Blastoise answered and confessed, to realize that just as he finished answering that last question, the Riolu was taken out of the Pokeball.

Stepping out, Sutībum found himself in what appeared to be a cruise ship room, not very luxurious, but still so. When he turned to see, he found Kutengo, who had the Pokeball with which he had saved it, indicating that he himself had taken it out.

–[Kuti!]–Riolu approached with joy but confused at the same time, still not processing well what had just happened. –Suti! How are you? You seem somewhat surprised and confused, although well, I understand why–I had greeted him, knowing what his impression would be after taking it out

–(I don't finish processing what just happened, was I digitized? How was it that I could see outside the sphere and communicate with the others? Perhaps these are questions that I will never get an answer)–he thought, still quite confused, since that device was too complex and strange for him.

The day passed, they had fun together in that room, it had already gotten dark, and it was time to sleep. The sound of the ocean helped them both relax a lot, but although the young human slept the night without problems, the Pokémon had dreamed something strange, something ambiguous and that even today he hasn't been able to fully decipher.

He was in what seemed to be a park at sunset, there was no one around, beyond 2 silhouettes sitting on a bench, one was light pink and tall, while the other was white and small.

–(Where am I? What are those silhouettes? Why isn't there anyone around? These places should usually be quite full of people, especially at this hour)–he thought, surprised by the place where he was suddenly, he approached those figures, to see if he could even interact with them.

When he tried to touch them, his arm/paw simply went through them, as if they were ghosts, and he listened to what seemed to be a broken conversation, one that would stick in his mind practically forever.

–You have to get out of that timid place that can't be defended, the day will come when you have to defend your loved ones, when you will have to fight for them, including me–the light pink silhouette had said, with a voice of a hispanic person in his 20s, who, to some extent, was familiar to the Riolu.

–I know... I know that I must get out of that stereotype of sensitive and fragile and face my own problems, mom is no longer here to help me.

I'll fight for my loved ones, but especially, I'll fight for you, brotherthe white silhouette had answered him, with a serious voice of an 18-year-old boy, but this one seemed even more familiar to the Pokémon, as if that had been his voice.

He woke up from that strange dream, with a big question going through his head: "what was that?". That last sentence that the white figure had said, which was what would stay in his head, even if it had been a "dream"...it was midnight, Kuti was still sleeping and he was still sleepy, so he fell asleep again, traveling to the country that would become the most important of his life...
