Anakin and Yoda were sat in meditation in Yoda's quarters they searched the force for the answers they needed to undo Anakin's wish and return Obi wan life again and set things right. When Anakin felt the force start to swirl around him and then everything suddenly turned black as he lost consciousness.
A Little While Later
Anakin awoke to find that he was no longer in grand master Yoda's quarters at the temple, but in a very familiar looking hangar. What the kriff happened and Why am in a air craft hangar Anakin thought to himself groggily as he scrambled to his feet and hid behind some as the sound of voices entered the hangar.
A few minutes later Anakin stared in shock as the owners of the voices came to stop infront the stack of crates he was hiding behind and Anakin saw that it was the 14 year year old Padme, the 9 year old him , Qui gon and ...Anakin gasped he saw the fourth person of the group a very much alive 25 year old Obi wan Kenobi.
The force sent me back in time Anakin whispered to himself as the group continued on past his hiding place, I could undo my wish and save him Anakin thought his eyes lingering on Obi wan.
After all he had asked the force for a way to undo his wish and bring Obi wan back, and forces replie had been to send him back in time to the day that Obi wan had paid the price for Anakins wish.
But Anakin could now make things the way they were supposed be and save Obi wan so that Obi wan would become his master as the force had intended him to be, but then Anakin remembered that to save Obi wan and undo his foolish mistake he would have to let Qui gon die at maul hands.
Anakin looked over to where Qui gon was telling the 9 year Anakin to hide and stay put and sent his younger self a silent apology for what he was about to do and then proceeded to use the distraction of Mauls appearance in the hangar, to use his force speed to get past both the Jedi and down the hallway to the main reactor core to do what he must to ensure that his reality would happen and that his brother would survive and train him.
And that would mean rigging the security system to stop Obi wan from reaching Qui gon in time to save him, Anakin maybe ten minutes to make the adjustments to the security system that would trap Obi wan and prevent him from being killed in Qui gon's place.
Before Qui gon and Maul reached the hallway. So Anakin set to work the sounds of the battle echoing on the floor above.
Ten Minutes Later
The deed was done and Anakin hurriedly headed back to the hangar as the battle drew nearer , as he hurried down a service corridor back to his hiding place in the hangar before Qui gon and Maul arrived as he did he winced as a wave pain from the Force bond that he share with Obi wan flared though.
Anakin picked up his pace and he couldn't help but feel sorry for the younger Obi wan as the pain he felt at moment from being tossed off the catwalk, would be nothing compared with the pain he was about suffer in about ten minutes when Maul dealt Qui gon the fatal blow and the master / Padawan training bond between Obi wan and Qui gon snapped when Qui gon died.
I am sorry master it was the only way to fix things and make things right , Anakin thought sadly as he reached the hangar and returned to his hiding place and waited for the crippling pain and grief that he no doubt feel from the younger version of Obi wan though their force bond.
When Maul killed Qui gon , Anakin sat down on the floor and leant against the crates and tried to brace himself for it , but nothing he did could prepare him for the inevitable wave of crippling pain when it came ten minutes later .
Anakin almost cried out as he tried to fight his way through it and stay conscious, but he couldn't and he lapsed into unconsciousness again.
Meanwhile Back In Yoda's Quarters In Anakins Reality And Time
Grand Master Yoda felt the shift in force the that told him that Anakin had achieved what the force had sent him 13 years into past to do and would be returning soon. Moments later the spot where Anakin had been a few hours earlier started to ripple and the unconscious form shimmered into being again.Yoda slowly got to his feet and hobbled over to where the unconscious young Jedi Knight now lay on his side.
