Lord Mewtwo, along with the ministers and advisors were already in the meeting hall. Guild master Caesar and Daisuke Yamazaki, the father of Ryo and Akira were also invited to the meeting indicating that the meeting had something to do with the war against the dragons. Professor Magnus and Mew, the former king of Arcadius, were present in the meeting as well. From lord Mewtwo's facial expression, it was implied that something grave had happened. Lord Mewtwo had never looked so concerned before.
"I have summoned you all this afternoon due to a very serious matter. I'll get straight to the point. This morning, I received a message that a civil war has broken out in Avangard." Said Lord Mewtwo.
"What?! For real this time?" said minister Abraham the Sceptile.
"Well, it's about time. Jarl Articuno of Winterhold has been leading a separatist movement against lord Alexandrovich for years. It is no surprise that a war finally erupts." Said minister Darkrai.
"Well, this civil war is Avangard's business. I think Arcadius should stay out of it…" said minister Jiang the Infernape.
"I beg to differ." Said Mew.
"This civil war will severely weaken Avangard. I'm afraid that if Avangard is weakened, the dragons will have the stomach to eventually invade Avangard!" said Mew.
"Yes, Mew is right. Being an ice type kingdom, Avangard has remained a neutral state for centuries simply because the dragons are too afraid to attack it. When the dragons know about the civil war, they will use this opportunity to destroy Avangard, once and for all!" said Professor Magnus.
"Then what should we do? Help Avangard crush the separatist movement? Avangard never cared to help Arcadius fight the dragons, why should we help Avangard now? Avangard was not even involved in the treaty of Sindarin" said minister Jiang.
"Ah…good point" said minister Darkrai.
"Because Avangard has been a safe heaven for fairy type pokemon. If Avangard falls, the fairies hiding in Avangard will be exterminated! Think of the fairies!" said Mew emotionally. No one cared about the suffering that the fairy type endured as much as mew did.
"Wait, I have an idea…" said Professor Magnus.
"How about we help Avangard subdue the separatist movement, and, in exchange for the help, Avangard must become Arcadius' ally. That way, there is a high possibility that we can finally defeat Drachenberg and end the fairy genocide." Suggested professor Magnus.
"Magnus! Are you suggesting that we break the treaty of Sindarin?" asked Lord Mewtwo.
"Why not? You know that the treaty of Sindarin heavily favours the dragons because it literally allows the dragons to hunt down and exterminate fairies. The only way to save the fairies is to break the treaty!" said professor Magnus.
"Having ice type pokemon as allies will be a great advantage! We can win this war!" said minister Theo the Alakazam.
"I don't know…Even with the help of ice type pokemon, I doubt that we can win the war…. The chances are slim…"said lord Mewtwo.
"You are just saying that because you don't care about the suffering of the fairies!" said Mew.
"As a matter of fact, I do care about the fairies, Mew. I'm just tired of fighting war…The dragons are too tough. We can't defeat them permanently…" Said Lord Mewtwo.
"But we have Daisuke Yamazaki, the legendary dragon slayer! Don't be so pessimistic Lord Mewtwo" said minister Cresselia.
"Well, I can only slay so much. It is obvious that the only one who can stop the dragons permanently is Lord Arceus the most high." said Daisuke Yamazaki.
"But Arceus has lost His power and He currently lies dormant in the hall of origin. Unless he gets his plates back there is no way He can stop the dragons. And furthermore, nobody knows the locations of the plates!" said minister Abraham.
"Ah, Arceus, the so called 'God' of pokemon. Tell me Daisuke… What kind of God almost died after being hit by a meteor?!" said Professor Magnus.
"Be careful not to insult our God Arceus or you will end up being reduced to ashes like the kingdom of Dahara, the land of heretics." said Daisuke.
"Heretics?! Dahara was a beacon of knowledge! The land of thinkers and science! Even the brightest scholars of Arcadius are dim compared to the polymaths of Dahara!" said professor Magnus angrily.
"There is no point of being smart when you have no faith in Arceus. Dahara deserved being destroyed because the Daharan people followed a false 'desert religion'." Said Daisuke.
"Enough of this! This bickering is pointless." said Lord Mewtwo.
"May I provide a suggestion my lord?" said Guild master Caesar.
"Yes please…" said Lord Mewtwo.
"Instead of giving military aid, Arcadius can be a mediator of negotiation between Avangard and the separatists. We can pressure jarl Articuno to agree to an armistice. If we can't stop the fairy genocide by defeating Drachenberg, at least we can still protect the fairies who are hiding in Avangard by stopping the civil war…" said guild master Caesar. The ministers and advisors agreed.
"Fine. Adler!" said Lord Mewtwo.
"Yes, my Lord?" Said Adler, the fastest Talonflame in Arcadius.
"I command you to give a message to Lord Alexandrovich and jarl Articuno. Tell them to agree on a ceasefire and tell them also that the message is from me personally." Said Lord Mewtwo.
"It will be done my Lord," said Adler.
"After the ceasefire I'll send delegations to be mediators of negotiation." Said Lord Mewtwo.
"So, it's settled then. Our emergency meeting is over." Said Lord Mewtwo.
After the meeting was done, Daisuke and Professor Magnus looked daggers at each other before leaving the meeting hall. They were in bad terms since Daisuke was a devout Arcean while Professor Magnus was a free thinker who opposed the church. Arceanity was a religion that worshipped Arceus as a God. This religion was founded during the sixth era, after Arceus lay dormant in the hall of origins. Daisuke was so devoted to this religion, that he always took his children to church every Sunday, even though Ryo did not like it.
Daisuke Yamazaki was born in the sixth era, prior to the signing of the treaty of Sindarin. He was native to Akamatsu, the kingdom of fighting type pokemon. Out of all types, only fighting type had two kingdoms, which were Huang Long and Akamatsu. Martial arts originated from these two kingdoms. The founder of Akamatsu, master Shirotabi, invented a form of martial art known as Karate, while the founder of Huang Long, master Zhuanxu, invented a different form of martial art known as Kung Fu. Master Shirotabi and master Zhuanxu were more than just rivals, they were sworn enemies, because the practitioners of Kung Fu and Karate each thought that their martial art style was superior to another. This resulted in and endless fighting between the two.
When Drachenberg finally decided to invade the fighting type kingdoms, Akamatsu offered itself to be Drachenberg ally. The two then teamed up to bring down Huang Long. However, after Huang Long was destroyed, the dragons betrayed Akamatsu. The warriors of Akamatsu fought bravely, but they eventually lost the war and Akamatsu was conquered. One of the fallen warriors of Akamatsu was Daisuke's father. At the time of his father's death, Daisuke was just a one-year-old Riolu. Two years later, Arcadius came to Akamatsu's aid. During the liberation of Akamatsu, Daisuke's mother died while trying to outrun the dragons in the forest. Before the dragons could kill the infant Riolu, a Gallade appeared and slayed the dragons. This Gallade was Guild master Caesar's father. The Gallade then decided to rescue Daisuke and told his men to bring Daisuke to Arcadius. Eventually, when the orphaned Riolu arrived at Arcadius, a kind priest named Antonio felt pity and decided to raise the Riolu. As a result, Daisuke grew up in a highly religious environment.
Antonio raised Daisuke with love and faith. As a child, Daisuke was brave and obedient, but harsh and hot headed. He often started a fight with other children because of trivial matters. Despite Daisuke's behaviour, Antonio still treated Daisuke with patience and compassion. When Daisuke reached the age of 10, Antonio told a bitter truth that Daisuke's parents were killed by dragons. This enraged the young Riolu and Daisuke swore to become a dragon slayer to avenge his parents. Seeing Daisuke's determination and iron will, Antonio allowed the young Daisuke to join the knight's guild to be trained.
From the start, it was clear that Daisuke was a prodigy. He learned very fast. At the age of fourteen, Daisuke befriended Caesar, who was already a Gallade, and evolved into a Lucario. Caesar and Daisuke did many missions together until they both graduate from the knight's guild at the age of seventeen. Soon after the graduation, Daisuke rose to fame by joining Arcadius' elite regiment and slaying many dragons in the war. Daisuke's achievements were outstanding. He was the only dragon slayer who managed to kill five dragon generals before the age of 30. Lord Mewtwo considered Daisuke to be a very valuable asset and even offered Daisuke to be promoted to the rank of aristocracy. However, Daisuke politely rejected the offer since he hated aristocrats for their snobbery. Daisuke kept slaying many dragons until he reached the age of 23. It was at this age that Daisuke married Catherine, a Gardevoir. Two years later, the treaty of Sindarin was signed and the war stopped. During this time of peace, Daisuke made money by doing missions such as escort missions, rescue missions, or killing criminals. A year later, Daisuke's first child was born. He named the new born baby Riolu 'Akira'. But this is not Akira's story, this is Ryo's story.
