Regina couldnt sleep. She hasnt slept for the last two days. After the birthday party she kept thinking about what her mother said. She needs to talk to Em and he seemed to be more distant than usual.'What if he is angry about the gift' she thought. She needs to talk to him and let him know what she feels.

Regina decided to take things into her hands. She got Ruby's help on that. That night Regina waited for Em's arrival. As usual when the door bell rang that night, Regina smiled and opened the door.

"Can we talk for some time?" Regina asked Em as he was removing his boots.

"Uhh..yeah sure" He replied and followed Regina to the living room.

He saw Regina getting a chilled beer from the fridge. "I asked Ruby about your favourite beer and got some for you" she said and placed the beer on the coffee table.

Em just looked at the beer confused. "Just though we could talk casually. I know you havent drunk in a while, so this is for you " she continued pointing at the beer.

Em didnt think twice, he took the beer and was about to sip when he remembered Henry's words. 'If my daughter wants something, she will bribe me with a beer' the words echoed in his head. 'What does she want from me?Is it a divorce ?' His head was giving all the wrong ideas.

"You want a divorce from me. isnt it ? You dont have to bribe for that. Just give me the papers and I will sign it for you " Em spoke out of the blue .

Regina felt like she was hit by something hard. Her eyes welled up on its own. She just stopped breathing. All she heard was divorce. 'He wants a divorce from me' the words kept ringing in her ear. Finally she found the courage to speak.

"Actually, I was going to say that I am going to New York. I will leave tomorrow thought I will inform you before I leave." She said and rushed upstairs leaving a very confused Em. His mind raced back to what he said.

Regina sat on the bed tears running down her face as she cried uncontrollably. Her whole body shook while she cried. Few minutes passed , Regina stood up wiping the tears and went to the closet. She started packing her luggage. She bent down to pickup the dress that fell down and she noticed under the bed was the gift she gave Em, unopened. Regina cried even harder. He didnt even open it, she threw it inside her bag and finished packing.

Em stood at the door watching Regina pack.

"Did I say something wrong ? " He asked Regina in a small voice.

"No, you said right. This relationship isnt working out. I will send you the papers from New York. You can sign it and send it back. Will you drop me at the airport tomorrow?" Regina asked at the end.

"Ofcourse. I will " Em replied.

The next morning, Regina woke up early to get ready. Em too woke up early. He watched her get ready and a guilt washed over him. He felt like he was doing something wrong but he couldnt get the courage to address it. The trip to the airport was quiet. Even at the parking, Regina denies Em's help with the luggages. He stood by the car watching Regina leave. Before he knew he called out for her. "Regina " She turned around rather quickly as if she was waiting for the call. Regina has hope in her eyes."Did you take the medicines?" Em asked. Regina could only nod. She expected more. She wanted him to stop her and tell her to comeback. But he was the same heartless man who cant get a clue. She walked alone to the airport. While standing in line her eyes watered but she held on.

Em was just leaving the airport and he was frustrated than ever. He honked at the cars in front of him. Suddenly his phone rang. It was Regina.

"Hello, Regina"

"Can you please comeback to the airport?There's something I want to tell you" He could tell she was crying.

Em didnt bother to turn around the car, he quickly locked the door and ran inside. He saw Regina standing there with her luggage.

"What happened? Are you okay?" He asked clearly concerned.

"Daniel...I...saw...Daniel...there inside" Regina couldnt make up sentences. She just blurted out words.

Em ran towards the direction Regina pointed out. He found out that Daniel was indeed working for the airlines Regina booked tickets for and he was infact there among other ground staffs. Em waited outside their office trying to talk to him.

Daniel came out of the office in his uniform. " ?" He asked as he saw Em.

"Yes, I dont want to beat around the bush, but you remember Regina right ?" Em asked straight away. "You know the girl you loved when you were in New York"

Daniel sighed clearly annoyed."I know Regina. So what ?"

"Why did you leave her? She still loves you. You left her the day you said you will marry her and you just saw her here. Why didnt you talk to her ?" Em had so many questions.

"Look , I dont have time for this. I am already married and what do you want me to do?Just say 'Hi, Regina we used to love each other'. See I cant do this right now. It was true that we loved each other. But my situation was different back then. Not all love stories are successful" He replied.

"Your friends told her that you were dead. What was that about? " Em was furious.

"Yes, I told my friends to say that to her. I moved on okay and I dont care about these things anymore. "

"What do you mean you dont care. She is spending her life in your memories and you are still alive living your life while she suffer. What explanation do you have for that?"

"Who are you to ask me these questions? And who are you to Regina?" Daniel demanded.

"I am her husband" Em replied like it made sense.

Daniel looked at him like he is crazy" Just fuck off man" he dismissed Em and walked inside.

Regina was waiting for Em. As soon as he walked up to her, she stood up curious.

"I kept talking to him and that guy just left without answering. I even told him about things you have been through and he still didnt care." Em said to Regina who looked at him like she could murder.

"Did I ask you to go after him? Did I tell you to convince him to get back with me? He is dead isnt he? Then why did you go after him?" Regina had tears running down her eyes.

"I thought, you wanted to be with him " Em responded in a small voice.

"Thats the thing, you always think the opposite. Here , if you have opened this gift, we wouldnt have reached this far. Go enjoy your life. May be you will find other girls who will make you happy. You and I , we were never a match." Regina threw the gift box at Em and walked inside.

Em took the gift and opened it was a red pillow in a heart shape inside. It said " Let's begin a new chapter Together- Love Regina" Em felt tears burning his eyes and he ran. He ran towards Regina.

"Regina" He caught up with her just in time. She turned around. The whole world felt silent. They just looked at each other. Em felt like his mouth went dry but he picked up the courage and walked forward. He pulled Regina to his chest hugged her tight. Regina cried, she cried uncontrollably as they embraced each other.

"I am not letting you go. Not in a million years. I want this,us for as long as we live. Please say yes" Em said still holding a very crying Regina.

"Yes...yes" Regina shook her head into his chest. Finally happy that she is in her rightful place with her husband.
