The ride back home was awkward. Even though they both decided to start things over, they had no idea where to begin. Em had his mind completely filled with so many questions. His concern was more of Daniel. The sudden appearance of Regina's past. He felt like he was competing with Daniel for a place in Regina's heart. Regina on the other hand was confused. She wanted answers from Daniel, but somehow all she felt was numbness. The moment she saw Daniel at the airport she was shocked, but being with her husband made difference. Even when Em went after Daniel, Regina felt nothing for her past lover. All her feelings were channeled to Em. But still she cant ignore the elephant in the room. 'Daniel is alive, what if he comes back for her?What if she has to choose between them' Em's mind was racing ahead.

Upon reaching the mansion, Em helped Regina with the luggage. She went upstairs to freshen up for the day and Em sat on the living room couch. He called Ruby to let her know that he wants to meet her soon. He knew he has to be there for Regina today. It was hard to decide what to do when you know little about your wife. Em wanted Regina to feel better after what happened, but he doesnt know anything about her not even her favorite food. He was lost in thoughts when Regina walked in.

"I am making some tea, would you like some?" Regina asked as she stood before Em.

"Yeah, sure" Em replied giving her a small smile. He watched Regina walk to the kitchen. She was wearing a simple t shirt and leggings. Her hair was up in a ponytail. He has never seen Regina so simple, it made his heart calm. He decided to follow her to the kitchen.

Regina was preparing the tea when she felt someone's eyes on her. She knew it was Em, her heart raced as she felt his body heat closer to hers. Em didnt know what he was doing. Before he could realize, he was standing behind Regina too close that he is sure she can smell his sweat. Regina mixed the tea, trying her best to act natural. It was difficult as her hands slightly trembled while pouring the hot liquid. Em was quick to take the pot from Regina, before she spill it all over her body and get burn.

"Careful, I dont want you burning yourself" Em said softly as he placed the pot on the counter. Regina still had her eyes fixed on the pot. She couldnt look at him.

"Are you okay?" Em asked in a whispher. Regina nodded her head. Still eyes cast down.

"Do you want me to step aside? You know may be give you some space" Em asked again. He was concerned, what if the sudden closeness made Regina uneasy.

Regina shook her head as no. All of sudden she felt speechless. All she could look was her kitchen floor and Em's socks, which she didnt like. May be she can buy a nice pair for him. She snapped out of her thoughts when she felt a warm hand wrap around her cold hands. She felt bolt of electricity surge through her body. She looked up to see Em looking down at her. His eyes filled with so much adoration. Her heart melted as he held her hands, gently rubbing circles with his thumb over the tense nerves.

"Just relax, Regina. I am here if you need me. I meant everything I said. I want to be here with you, today, tomorrow and as long as life takes us" Em said softly.

Regina didnt even realize she was crying until soft fingers wipes her tears and cupped her cheek.

"I hope this is okay. You can stop me if its too much" Em said as he placed a small kiss on her forehead. Regina couldnt stand it. She crashed onto him. Hugging Em and cried to his chest. She let out years of agony in tears. She was sure her husband's white shirt was drenched in her tears and mascara. But Em didnt care. He stood there, holding her. Trying to soothe her, whispering softly that its okay.

At some point Regina fell asleep crying and Em had to carry her to the bed. He stayed on the bed until Regina relaxed and covered her with a blanket. He left Regina to sleep. He needs to see Ruby.

Ruby was working when Em came to the auto repair store.

"From what you said about this Daniel guy, I dont think he is a threat. He clearly ditched Regina and didnt even give an explanation." Ruby pointed out.

"Well what if he still have feelings for her ?" Em questioned.

"Dude you are overreacting. What did Regina say ? She was angry right? She didnt even liked that you went after him."

"May be you are right."

"Dude, I am always right." Ruby smirked from under the hood.

"Okay, I have to go back. Regina hadnt had anything yet, she might be hungry" Em remembered.

"Bro, get her the apply pie Granny makes. They are awesome. Belle gave me a slice this morning"

"Look at you tasting apple pies from the diner already. Hows Belle?" Em teased his friend.

"Come on man, stop it. She is nice. We still havent talked about what happened that day, but we are good friends for now. May be I will ask her out one day" Ruby sighed.

"You should Red, she is a keeper" Em waved at his best friend and left the shop.

When Em got back, Regina was in the kitchen making dinner. Em placed the apple pie on the counter.

"Did you get my note?" Em asked Regina.

"Yes I did, hows Ruby?" Regina asked.

"She is great, said hi " Em replied and walked over to Regina. She was making pasta.

"Smells good. What's cooking?"

"Just some pasta. I made some for you as well, if you would like to eat something I made" Regina wasnt sure if Em was willing to eat something she made.

Em felt guilty that he was ignoring genuine efforts from Regina. "I would love that" He smiled and replied, determined to make it up to Regina for all his mistakes.

"Oh, and I bought some apple pie" Em picked up the apple pie from the counter and showed it to Regina.

"Is it from Granny's? " Regina asked clearly excited.

"Yea, why?" Em asked confused.

"I love them. I havent had it in a while. " Regina took it from Em and unboxed it.

"Good to know. May be I should get that more often then." Em chuckled as he watched Regina open the lid and smell the pie.

For the first time, they sat together and ate dinner. Small conversations were shared between them. For the first time, it felt like home for both of them. May be its a new beginning of friendship or may be its a new love story. Only time will tell.
