Thursday, Oct 9, 2003, WWE SmackDown was lived from Hartford, Connecticut. Before the opening pyro, a recap is shown of the event building up to Stephanie McMahon vs. Sable in "I Quit" Match at No Mercy, Sable's insults, Stephanie's violence, and Sable retaliation last week with Brock Lesnar's F5 General Manager. Then, a brief video synopsis of Stephanie as General Manager of SmackDown, a live shot inside the arena, the pyro goes off, and Michael Cole, and Tazz are on commentary. Linda McMahon's music hits, and the fans were on their feet as the CEO of the WWE came out, and she was not alone with her husband, the Chairman of the Board, Vince McMahon.
Tony Chimel announced to them, "Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome CEO and Chairman of Board Vince, and Linda McMahon." Vince and Linda make their way to the ring together. Linda walks up the steps first, followed by Vince to the apron. Vince opened the ropes for her, and she stepped through them, and then Vince entered the ring. Tony Chimel hand Vince the mic.
The fans chant "Vince and Linda" now. Vince and Linda chuckled and Vince said, "Linda and I are happy to see you."
Vince said, "Last week, I wasn't here. What Linda and I saw was despicable when Brock Lesnar put his hands on our daughter Stephanie McMahon the General Manager of Smackdown."
The fans boo Vince go on a rant about male Superstars putting their hands on female wrestlers, and then issue an edict the next male superstar who touches a female wrestler will be fine and then suspended. The fans cheer.
"Now, onto Sable, who is trying everything she knows to get Brock Lesnar into the WWE Championship match at No Mercy." The fan boo
"Forget it, Sable, Brock Lesnar tap out at SummerSlam."
Sable's music hits, and out she comes, and the fans boo.
"There is Sable," Michael Cole said.
"Yep, and she doesn't look happy about Vince McMahon's announcement," Tazz said
Sable makes her way to the ring, and enters the ring with Vince and Linda McMahon. Sable gets a mic, and looks at them.
"Brock Lesnar is entitled to a rematch, and Stephanie is denied his rematch."
Linda and Vince looked at each other, and Vince said, "What part don't you understand, Sable? Brock Lesnar tapped out at SummerSlam, which means he went to the back of the line."
Sable throws a fit in the ring, and then kicks Linda where she had surgery, and Vince immediately checks on Linda. Stephanie flies out of the back, slides into the ring, tackles Sable, and unloads on Sable.
"It's Stephanie McMahon," Michael Cole shouts as the fans go wild.
"Stephanie is possessed right now," Tazz pointed out as Stephanie unloaded with left and right hands.
Sable manages to roll out of the ring, but Stephanie rolls out of the ring, too, and goes after Sable.
"Sable rolled out of the ring, but Stephanie is behind her," Michael Cole said
"Yes, she is my partner. Stephanie is determined to hurt Sable who kicks her mother, Linda," Tazz said.
Brock appears out of nowhere to protect Sable
"It's Brock Lesnar," Michael Cole said,
"Stephanie is not back down," Tazz said as Stephanie kicked him in the groin, and he left like a tree.
"Oh, Stephanie just kicked Brock Lesnar south of the border," Michael Cole pointed out.
"And boy did she," Tazz said.
Stephanie went after Sable when Vincent came out, and went after Brock, and Michael Cole said, "Stephanie's brother Vincent is going after Brock."
"Brother and sister are unloaded on Brock, and Sable, in the aisle way," Michael Cole said.
The fans went wild, seeing Stephanie and her young brother Vincent unloaded on Sable and Brock. Vincent and Stephanie nail Brock and Sable, which sends them into retreat. The fans boo.
"Brock and Sable are retreating," Tazz said.
Stephanie and Vincent head to the ring, slide under the bottom rope, and check on their mother, who is being attended to by the trainer. Vince helps Linda up to her feet, and the fans cheer, seeing Vince help his wife up. The McMahon family stood tall as Linda's music hits. They exit the ring and head up the aisle way as a family.
They went backstage and headed to the General Manager's office and inside the room. Sabrina went into doctor mode and checked her mother out. On the Monitor in the office, was Tajiri facing Ultimo Dragon; as Tajiri tried to use Mysterio 619, Rey hit the ring, going after the cruiserweight champion. Sure enough, the 619 is connecting indeed, but not by the champion, but by the former champion Mysterio on his No Mercy opponent.
Backstage to Josh Mathews, he finds General Manager Stephanie McMahon in the back. She looks mad. Stephanie said, "At No Mercy, I will end Sable permanently. And both my parents will be in my corner."
The fans cheer, hearing that Vince and Linda will be in Stephanie's corner.
"And that farmboy Brock Lesnar decides to get involved in my match, he will be fired," Stephanie said, walking back into her office.
SmackDown goes to commercials. SmackDown returns from the commercials, and The Undertaker comes out. He believes that Sable is scared of Stephanie McMahon because of the beatdown that Stephanie has been able to lay on her leading up to No Mercy. He knows that Sable sent Brock Lesnar after the general manager to soften up Stephanie.
Taker says, "Sable will get her ass beat down again at No Mercy."
The fans cheer, and Taker says, "You don't get to the position that he is in today without some help from your friends." He pulls out a 15-foot chain, rolls it around his fist, and tells Brock to come to the ring, and meet his new best friend."
Instead, The FBI comes out. Chuck Palumbo is the opponent for Dead Man Inc., but of course, the numbers game is in full effect for the FBI, with Nunzio and the Bull lurking around ringside. Taker quickly hits Old School on Palumbo and beats him down for most of the match until Bull sticks his nose into the free, giving Palumbo a chance to clock Taker with a few of his own lefts and rights. Taker reverses an Irish whip, and nails Snake Eye and the big boot to the face. Finally, the Taker grabs Pulambo by his throat, lifts him up and delivers a thunderous chokeslam for the win.
After the match, Brock Lesnar comes out and begins to beat the Undertaker. The FBI joins in the assaults as Brock begins to set up the announce table, but Taker fights back, and Kurt Angle comes out and helps Taker fend off the FBI and Brock Lesnar. Taker grabs his biker chain and clocks Stamboli and Nunzio in the head, busting them wide open and hitting Lesnar's steel chair so hard it early sent him through the protective railing into the crowd. The Dead Man is left in the center of the ring, in the center of his yard.
SmackDown goes back to commercials. SmackDown returns from the commercials, and a recap is shown of the previous segment and the destruction layout by Brock Lesnar, and Undertaker. Vince, Linda, Stephanie, and Vincent are watching in the back.
"I swear that Lesnar is asking for it."
"I know, princess."
In walks, a newcomer, Paul London, and Vincent steps to him and says, "So, you are my opponent tonight."
London said, "Yes, I am."
