"Are you sure this will be enough?" Mina asked.

"We hope so" replied Virizon, as she knew a lot about Pokemon wellness and natural medicines, "They have already eaten the Heal Seeds, we can only hope for the best"

It was afternoon when the kids returned with the Heavenly Water from the Dark Cave and had poured it onto the Heal Seed crops in Leavanny's orchard. As soon as they dunked the soil, they grew sprouts in just a couple of seconds and within a minute they had little plants where even more seeds sprouted. They took two of them and gave them respectively to Rex and Luke, who were still fighting against that strange paralysis. So they lasted until the next day. Now, they were out of danger, but they still had to wake up.

"The fever has gone down and they can be cured of the paralysis in a day" Audino explained after another look at the patients, "They will be fine, for sure"

"I wish we could help them more…" Rose wailed.

These words were not ignored by Virizon at all, as she was also a Grass-type Pokemon.

"You are Rose, aren't you?" she asked the confused Chikorita, "While your friends recover, would you like me to help you improve your skills?"

"Umm, well" she answered somewhat hesitantly because she didn't know whether to leave her friends alone.

"Don't worry, Rose" Zack supported her, "We'll take care of Rex and Luke while they recover, right, guys?"

Dylan and Mina supported him.

"Well, thanks," she replied, then turning to Virizon, "Okay, show me"

They both left the small house where Audino was treating sick Pokemon. As he watched them leave, Dylan asked Keldeo:

"What will Virizon teach Rose? Do you know something, Keldeo?"

"Virizon is the most romantic and friendly of the three Sword-Pokemon," Keldeo replied, "But she is also a very good teacher when it comes to nature classes and such. Although I have to admit that many times I didn't even understand her and her lessons… "

(Meanwhile…)

Virizon and Rose were walking on the borders of Paradise, where even those grounds were so picturesque that it was hard to believe that darkness existed in the Pokemon world. The green fields and the running of the stream mixed with the songs of Pokemon birds made this a calm day.

"It's funny that I'm interacting with a Chosen Child again" Virizon commented.

"Did you meet one?" Rose asked.

"Yes, the Oshawott you saw in the sculpture. Years have passed, but I remember his courage to face the terrible Kyurem. I was so weak along with the others that we had stepped on that forbidden place, but I could see the fierce battle"

Rose listened to the Virizon stories as they continued to where she was going to teach her. Not long after, they came across a small pool at least 3 centimeters deep, where Virizon waded in, cooling its paws.

"The water is perfect" she said, sensing the temperature, "Well, what I'm going to teach you will require you to be at least an evolved Pokemon, you can evolve of your own free will, right?"

"Sure" Rose answered pulling the Pokephone out of her, "Let's evolve!"

The next second, Rose had evolved into Bayleef and she slowly lowered herself into the pool, feeling the coolness of the water and (somehow) feeling the water seeping everywhere towards the green fields.

"How do you feel?" asked Virizon, "The coolness of the water clears the mind, doesn't it?"

"Yes..." Rose timidly answered (putting herself in her place, it was logical to be nervous because a legendary Pokemon would teach her).

"You must connect deeply with nature" Virizon taught her, "Close your eyes and breathe deeply: you become a plant, and perceive how the water nourishes you"

Rose closed her eyes, trying to perceive what they were showing her. It was a strange thing to explain, but she felt a tingle creep up her paws as if she were a plant receiving nutrients. But then, she felt something else: as if the blade of hers on her head began to emit energy.

"What's going on?" she asked she, "I feel weird"

"Fantastic, you are skilled. That is called Synthesis," Virizon explained, "fills you with vitality. It is the easiest way to teach it, on the battlefield it is somewhat more complicated. You should not forget that feeling if you want to use it in a different place than this. Now, from this power derives the most powerful attack of us, the Grass-type Pokemon: the Solar Ray"

"Is that what I have to learn?" Rose asked, feeling uncertain, "I don't think I can do it."

"It will be difficult, but it is not impossible. You are already on the right track: Synthesis collects energy and feeds you; In the Solar Ray, the energy that you must take is that of the sun and, in large quantities, you can expel it in a single blow"

"It seems complicated…"

"I'll give you a demonstration..."

Virizon turned around to where there was a medium-sized rock. Then, she closed her eyes and took a bath of solar energy that descended from the sun. Slowly, she gathered energy in her body and unexpectedly released a powerful white bolt from her mouth and shot it into the rock, blasting a perfect hole through it.

"That's my Solar Beam," Virizon explained, "Unfortunately, I can't store much energy compared to other Grass-Type Pokemon. Well, what about you? are you going to try it?"

"Okay, I'll try…"

Rose closed her eyes and breathed slowly while she perceived each gram of sunlight that the sun emitted in the sky. It was a cozy sensation to feel the sunlight and the freshness of the air… it was like being a plant (maybe that's how she felt like a true Pokemon of this type). But, after being like this for a few seconds, doubtful of being able to achieve something like that, nothing special happened.

"Do I need to get some more sun?" she asked with her eyes closed.

"First, what are you feeling?" Virizon asked.

"I feel the wind on my blade, the coolness of the water and the warmth of the sun" Rose explained, "But nothing special happens, maybe I don't have the talent for this…"

"That last sentence makes me understand that, like your other friends, you have a fear too: one of failure, or am I wrong?"

Rose had to be honest, nodding slightly. Virizon took a couple of steps into the pond until she told her:

"When someone does something new, it is normal to be afraid of failing. But, it's better to try and fail than never to have tried. Don't be shy: you've been given a great gift and if you didn't have the confidence in yourself to use it, you wouldn't have been chosen in the first place."

Rose lowered her head, regretting her fear. However, Virizon helped him get it up again.

"Then let's try something else," she said, "let's see…your friends are still a bit weak. I think it's the perfect time to develop a couple of natural medical skills, okay with you?"

"Ok, I think it would be better..." Rose replied a little more animated.

"Well, it's time for you to learn Aromatherapy. Come, there is a field of flowers ahead…"

Leaving aside the pond, Virizon this time led Rose to an incredibly beautiful field of flowers. Not only in appearance, but it seemed to be inundated with the most delicious aromas of those flowers.

"The aroma is delicious..." Rose commented, feeling attracted by it.

"The first step is to recognize the scents you will use and get in touch with them," Virizon explained, "The second is to imitate them: you must become the same flowers you smell and use your plant-type energy to radiate those scents into others. If you succeed, you will be able to heal"

"Okay, I'll try"

Rose did breathing exercises in that environment flooded with aromas of flowers. Little by little, she felt that her lungs did not want to stop breathing that. Her mind recognized each of the flowers that lay there: peonies, roses, lilies, lavender, jasmine, lilac, etc. After a couple of seconds, she finished the exercise.

"Okay," Virizon told her, showing her a part of the lawn where there were about three withered flowers, "You can practice with this. Remember: remember the scent of the flowers you perceived, but use your own energy to imitate them."

"OK"

Rose recalled every scent she had felt before and used the energy she had expended in previous battles to expel it in a small wave of brilliance that made two of the three flowers bloom.

"Not bad" supported Virizon, "Two out of three is not bad. You're better at this"

"Thank you"

"Okay, let's rest"

(A couple of minutes later…)

Rose had returned to her initial form and was eating a couple of berries together with Virizon, while she told her everything that had happened to her since she arrived in the Pokemon world.

"I understand" Virizon said upon hearing the story, "So your chosen Pokemon was Chikorita, it is possible that you have some connection with nature, right?"

"Well…" she replied, remembering, "I was always clumsy when it came to cooking or drawing, but I liked helping my grandmother in the garden that she had at home, it was… the only thing I did have skill at. Although, my mother wanted me to live more with friends instead of with the plants…"

"And when you and your friends met, I'm sure everything changed"

"Yeah…"

There was a minute of silence, until Virizon said:

"Several things change at the most unexpected moments. Although later you learn to see the world from another point of view... You shouldn't be afraid when trying something: Believe me, I was the same when I started but it's better to try and fail than never trying..."

But before she could continue, something strange happened: the fragrant air around the flower garden began to fill with a putrid stench and the flowers withered within seconds. Likewise, the weather also turned cloudy Virizon and Rose got up and the latter detected the presence of a dark atom.

"A possessed Pokemon is here" she warned her teacher.

"Watch out!" Virizon yelled as she picked her up and together they dodged a Shadow Ball.

When they were both safe, the possessed Pokemon appeared; Rose's heart skipped a beat at the same time her mind reminded her. One of the evil trio that Rex defeated was in front of them: Gourgeist.

"You!" They both said to each other when they saw each other's faces.

"Do you know her?" Virizon asked.

"Yeah, sure" Rose replied, "Rex beat her along with her colleagues, Arbok and Zangoose, in the small town I told you about"

"It's true that I lost…" Gourgeist replied raising his dark aura and preparing another Shadow Ball, "But it was before I had this power!"

Rose prevented the attack: "Let's evolve! Chikorita evolves to... Bayleef!

Instantly, she returned to her evolved form and countered.

"Razor Blades!"

However, when the Razor Blades collided with the Shadow Ball, they shattered like fine toothpicks against a wrecking ball. Fortunately, the attack did deflect and hit near Rose, injuring her slightly. The increase in dark power in Gourgeist was evident.

"And now…" Gourgeist continued, but Virizon stopped her.

"Energy ball!"

Another ball of energy, but an emerald green one, shot out of Virizon's mouth in the direction of Gourgeist and hit him square. However, Gourgeist withstood it, though the blow had left him on the brink of defeat.

"I won't let you hurt Rose" declared Virizon, ready to protect the chosen girl, "Sacred Sword!"

A wave of green energy erupted from Virizon's forehead and took on a curved sword shape. However, Gourgeist did not seem to flinch; instead, she seemed to smile.

"Don't think that being one of the mystic Sword-Pokemon gives you the advantage…" she said before suddenly disappearing.

Virizon did not understand where she had gone until Gourgeist reappeared at her side. Rose tried to warn him, but Gourgeist used another move:

"Pain Split!"

A series of invisible blows at close range struck both Virizon and Gourgeist, but the latter laughed as it happened. When she finished, Virizon fell to his knees with one of her legs, for she was just as injured as Gourgeist.

"Do you feel the same pain?" Gourgeist sneered, "Well, now you'll give me back everything I shared with you... Leech Seed!"

Gourgeist released seeds that sprouted into a vine that wrapped around Virizon from head to toe. When she was fully entangled, Virizon felt energy from her being absorbed and transferred to Gourgeist, healing her.

"Virizon!" Rose yelled getting up again, "Vine whip!"

Rose's vines trapped Gourgeist, but she broke free and disappeared again. Before Rose knew it, Gourgeist reappeared at high speed in front of her.

"Shadow Punch!"

A shadow passed through Rose's body as if it were an invisible blow, and it wasn't just one, because Gourgeist repeated the attack about five more times. However, Rose refused to fall again because she had to help Virizon.

"Not so fast!" Gourgeist yelled, "Leech Seed!"

And, just like Virizon, Rose got caught between Gourgeist's vines, which also began to suck energy from her and transfer it to the evil Pokemon.

"I will extract every last drop from them…" said Gourgeist, "I will leave them like this withered field…"

Rose couldn't do anything because she felt her energy being absorbed, like her own life. She could only see Virizon too in the same way. She tried to use her powers, but she couldn't and she felt useless again.

Just then, a withered rose fell in front of her. Rose's heart sank: she didn't want this to be the end of her, she wanted to see the flower garden alive again, she wanted to show a field like this to her grandmother… she wasn't going to let her fear of trying to fight stop her: she wanted to do it and I was going to do it.

Suddenly, the flow of energy extraction stopped and the vines now seemed like mere threads that could be snapped. In front of her, the rose magically came to life. Freeing herself from her grasp, Rose noticed the cause of it all: a glowing green symbol emanated from her chest, in the shape of a leaf. Almost immediately, her Pokephone floated up to stand in front of her.

Remembering her friends, she took it with her lianas and exclaimed:

"Ultra Evolution!"

Next to the Pokephone, the symbol glowed and the next evolution was activated.

"Bayleef evolves to... Meganium!.

The new Ultra Evolutions was completed.

"Great... I feel great..." Rose muttered as she felt her power increase.

And not only her power had been reborn, but also, her own energy counteracted that of the evil power, as the flowers around her began to bloom again. Gourgeist just looked shocked at Rose's new evolution without being able to move. When she recovered, she threatened her:

"Don't think you'll beat me by that evolution! Shadow ball!"

"Vine Whip!"

Again Gourgeist, attacked with that dark energy. However, Rose used her vines and stopped her in the air, like a goalie to a ball. Then, with all her strength, she returned it to Gourgeist, who ignored what she saw and took his own attack squarely. Wasting no time, Rose headed towards Virizon.

"Razor Blades!"

With that move, Rose cut through the Virizon vines, freeing her from her. For her part, Gourgeist took advantage of that moment to attack while they were distracted.

"Seed Bomb!"

Gourgeist launched a series of explosive seeds, but Rose protected them in time:

"Petal Dance!"

With her new flower around her neck, she came new abilities, such as generating endless rose petals and creating a typhoon out of them, deflecting Gourgeist's bombs. Without letting him counterattack, Rose launched another attack: using her own natural energy, she formed a sphere in her mouth.

"Energy Ball!"

The esmerald ball of energy was launched at Gourgeist, who miraculously managed to dodge it. Boasting for failing, the Pokemon laughed at the Meganium:

"Ha ha ha! You failed!"

"I wasn't aiming at you" Rose replied with a smile on her face.

It wasn't just words: the ball of energy rose into the sky after missing and exploded into the black clouds that made the weather cloudy. With this, a hole had been made through which sunlight passed through. Sensing that unique warmth, the petals around the neck of the new Meganium absorbed it and, in a couple of seconds, glowed white.

"Solar beam!"

A powerful beam of light energy shot from Rose's mouth. It was three times more powerful than what Virizon had taught her. Without any chance (because the light was such that she could not even disappear into the shadows) Gourgeist received the attack and flew many kilometers away, but not before the evil power of the dark atom had escaped from her and evaporated into the air.

"Wow... it seems your courage has bloomed like a flower after the winter" Virizon told her, "Thank you for saving me"

"Thank you for teaching me Virizon" Rose replied, "And now things are clearer to me: I am going to rebuild my grandmother's garden and from now on I am going to do things without fear of failing"

"Because it's better to try and fail than never to have tried..."

"That's how it is. And speaking of a garden…" Rose commented seeing that not all the flowers had returned to their original state yet.

She approached the flowers and, using her new Aromatherapy powers, revived them with all their beauty and fragrances that they had before. Just then, Keldeo, Zack, Mina, and Dylan arrived at the location.

"Rose?" Dylan asked in surprise, "Woah, you've evolved again!"

"Yes," she answered, "And now that I have these powers, I think I can do something else..."

(A couple of minutes later...)

They all returned to Paradise, where Rex and Luke were still slowly recovering from paralysis. Rose then radiated Aromatherapy over them, bathing them in fresh, natural energy. A minute later, the Meganium finished and returned to its initial form, just to see Rex and Luke finally awaken.

"Woah, I feel stiff," Rex said, "what happened? Where we are?"

"Long story," Zack explained, "But we must tell you"

And so, as evening fell again, they told them everything that happened while they were unconscious.
