Em sat at the station biting his nails. He was so lost in thoughts that he didn't notice Graham walking in.

"Biting nails is a bad habit Sheriff." Graham pointed out and chuckled as Em quickly pulled his hand out and wiped it in his jeans.

"I bite my nails when I am thinking hard. Force of habit" He replied and got up from his seat.

"I understand. I used to do it when I was a kid. My sister kind of beat me out of it. Like literally she would beat me everytime my hand goes in my mouth." Graham said.

"Ha..ha.. sounds like fun"

"Shouldn't you be on desk duty?"

"Yeah. Just going to see Ruby."

"Say hi for me "Graham mentioned as he went back to work.

Ruby has been pacing back and forth for the last thirty minutes which made Em crazy.

"Are you gonna say something?" Em asked

"Give me time bro, I am thinking." Ruby replied then started pacing again.

"C'mon man it's been what..half an hour already. It's not nuclear science. It's a date" Em was getting pissed off.

"Then why did you ask me?" Ruby was getting crazy as well.

"Because..."

"Because?"

"You are my best friend"

"No, because you suck at dates and it's me who always saves your ass." Ruby clarified for her friend.

" tell me how to ask her out " Em was desperate

Ruby stood there still not impressed by her friend.

"How about I let you drive my truck?" Em knew this will get her attention.

"And look under the hood ?" Ruby bargained.

"Fine you can look under the hood " Em was defeated.

"Awesome, meet me after noon and tell her to be ready by 7. Take her to the place I say and I will get everything ready" Ruby replied and held her hand out.

"Thanks Red, you are the best " He gave a kiss to her friend's cheek and handed the key to her truck.

Regina was signing some paperwork when Katherine informed her that Em was there. He walked into her office with a bouquet of purple orchids. Regina smiled, her husband had great taste. She wondered how he knew she loves purple.

"These are for you "Em handed the bouquet to Regina who took it smiling "Thank you, these are nice flowers"

"I didn't knew if you liked those flowers. When I saw them at the store kind of thought you may like."

"Not bad Sheriff. One score for you." Regina chuckled and said. Em smiled and sat down.

"Well did I score enough to take you out on a date ?" He decided to try his luck.

"May be, I can't confirm yet. Let's see where the day takes us." Regina decided to play along.

"That's not fair. I have been very good for the past few weeks. No drinks, no late night visits, will that count ?" Em talked as he stood up and walked towards Regina. He only stopped until he was close to Regina almost touching her.

Regina on the other hand felt like her heart would jump out of her chest.

"May be I should try a different way." Em went on as he once again placed a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"And what would that be?" Regina spoke barely as a whisper.

"What was that Gina?I didn't hear you" Em asked and placed his ear close to Regina's mouth

Regina bit her lip. Em's closeness was intoxicating her. Her breathing became erratic. Em understanding the situation looked at his wife. He felt like he haven't seen a beautiful thing like Regina ever in his life.

"You are so beautiful" Before he realized Em blurted out. He swallowed when Regina looked up surprised and their eyes met. His eyes switched between her lips and eyes.

"Hey Gina, can I take you out on a date ?" Em asked in a whisper. "Yes." Regina replied smiling. Em moved forward to kiss her but a knock on the door interrupted them. It was Katherine. Both mentally cursed. Katherine opened the door and she felt like a deer caught in the headlight. Two sets of angry annoyed eyes met the confused ones.

"I...will..come back later" She quickly excused herself and went back to her desk closing the door on the way.

" Well that was that." Em replied sighing and slightly winced as he tried turning his hand.

"Does that hurt still ?" Regina asked quickly concerned. She inspected the cast to make sure that he didn't break anything.

"That's fine. Its kind of hard to work with one hand."

"Please stay at the station for a few days until the cast will be taken off." She said to him and quickly fixed his uniform shirt.

Em couldn't help but watch her as she cleared the wrinkles in his shirt smoothly.

"I like when you do that."

"Do what?" Regina asked still fixing his tie.

" I will pick you up at 7 be ready "

"Okay. Should I wear something fancy?" Regina asked trying to find out where he was taking her.

"Whatever you like. Its going to be just us. So anything is fine." Em replied and quickly kissed Regina on the forehead.

Regina smiled and waved her husband as he walked out the door.

As Ruby asked Em got home early and put on a white Henley t shirt and blue jacket . Ruby helped him with everything even cleaned up his car after a long argument that it smelled like cheese burgers. Regina left early from the office. Even though Katherine nagged her throughout the day after Em visited her, she didn't leave any information. She reached home, took a long bath and spend her sweet time trying to find the perfect dress. She decided to wear something simple. She put on an olive green knee length dress, her hair free and applied light make up on her face.

Sharp at 7 Em knocked on the door. He was fixing his t shirt when the door opened. Regina opened the door at the third knock.
