"You shouldn't eat so fast"

"Sorry, I feel like I lost too many calories"

It was evening, and the chosen children were eating a banquet of berries, fruit, and some cake prepared by Miss Swanna; Keldeo, Virizon, Espeon and Umbreon also accompanied them to talk about the next objective of our heroes. However, Rex wasn't very focused on the conversation, as he was eating like a glutton. Apparently, going through ultra evolution and then being paralyzed for a full day had caused him incredible hunger.

"Umm , that's delicious!" Rex exclaimed after having had his fill, "Thank you, Miss Swanna."

"You're welcome. It's a pleasure to see a chosen child eat my dishes again and with such spirit" she replied.

"Back on topic…" Virizon said, "Umbreon, Espeon, will the Great Portal be ready for tomorrow?"

"I'm sorry, but all its dimensional energy hasn't been recharged yet" Espeon answered, showing the tablet, "The tablet requires a lot of dawn and lunar energy"

"Dawn and Lunar..." Dylan mused, "Aren't they their respective ways of evolving?"

"That's right," Umbreon replied, "When we were an Eevee, I evolved by moon light, while Espeon evolved by dawn light. Being energies that nature gives us, we can connect with them and open a portal with an artifact like this tablet"

"But once used, it would need a week to activate again" Espeon continued, "Although we can surely recharge it with a moon stone and a dawn stone"

"Where can we find something like that?" Mina asked.

"Two places," Virizon explained, tracing on the ground, "The moon stone is found in a cave on Crescent Mountain. While that of dawn stone is located on the eastern cliffs, next to the sea, it is where the sun rises"

"We'll have to split up" considered Rex who listened and had just finished the meal, "Zack, Mina and I are going to Crescent Mountain, while Rose, Dylan and Luke are the best combination to recover a stone on the seashore"

"I agree with the choice of teams" Zack thought , "Rex is a fire type Pokemon, plus it can light up a cave at night. I also now have the ability to see through darkness and walls. And, with Mina's support, we will be complete"

"Well, if you plan to go to Crescent Mountain, it should be soon," Keldeo recommended, "Moon stones are only seen in full moonlight and tonight there will be. The mountain is at north of here a couple of kilometers"

The path to Crescent Mountain was through a forest, which was not plagued by enemies, because at most the hoothoots that lived there could be heard. In the moonlight, Rex's flame was complementary, but both provided all the necessary light. Not long after they walked, in front of them loomed a towering and large mountain that was bathed in moonlight.

"It's the place" Zack said, "Come on, we have to look for the stone"

"Hey Mina…" Rex stopped them, "What do you have here?"

"What?" she asked.

Rex removed something small and silky from Mina's body: it was a spider web. Recognizing it, she jumped back in fear. His companions did not miss that.

"It's just..." Mina confessed, "Spiders disgust me and everything they leave behind"

"In any case, stay close to us and try not to yell if you see any spiders or spider-Pokemon" Rex suggested, "Okay, let's continue"

The three chosen children entered the cave, which was not so dark as there were many holes through which the moonlight filtered into the walls and the floor. Zack evolved into Luxio: since that time, he had his improved vision in only his first evolution. For that matter, Rex and Mina also entered their first evolution. They stopped when they came to a dead end. However, the Luxio's new abilities showed him the royal path.

"There is a path behind" Zack said pointing to the supposed end of the path, "Possibly there has been a landslide and a large rock blocked the tunnel"

"Leave it to me," Rex said. It approached the rock, "Metal Claws!"

Its Charmeleon claws became as hard as steel and shattered the rock in a heartbeat . However, another new rock blocked their way after another while of walking. This time, Mina wanted to help, and using Force , she managed to move the rock. Although he barely glanced inside, he backed away in fright.

There was a cobweb on the road: and not just any, but it was also yellow and generated some electrical current that Zack clearly perceived.

"How strange," he asked, "A spider web charged with electricity? That's something you don't see every day."

"We're in the Pokemon world," Rex clarified, using his Flamethrower to undo that web in ashes, "I guess something like this happens every day. No problem now, Mina, let's continue. The center must be close"

Mina only swallowed hard as they continued. Finally, they managed to find the center of the mountain where Keldeo explained where they could find moon stones: a huge skylight showed the beautiful full moon, radiating all that brightness in the cave. The floor in turn reflected the shine onto the walls, which also shone in the moonlight. Zack then used his powerful gaze and scanned all the walls.

"I see something there" he told them pointing to a corner, "Maybe it's..."

But he didn't finish speaking, because a sticky net fell on him: the same spider web that had been removed moments before. Zack tried to get away, but that net seemed to give him a different shock that didn't allow him to use his powers. Rex tried to help him; however, a huge Galvantula got in the way. And she wasn't coming alone: the rest of her family was descending from holes in the walls. Mina had frozen in fear of seeing so many spider-type Pokemon.

"Mina!" Rex yelled at her, "Don't freeze now! We have to fight!"

But she couldn't even move a muscle. Ever since they found that Electroweb in the tunnel, his body was beginning to feel chills. Now, completely surrounded by large spiders? It is logical to think how he felt.

"It's not worth it, she's completely stunned" Rex thought, "I have to do something..."

He took his Pokephone.

"Ultra…!"

But a Galvantula fell on top of him, preventing him from moving and making him lose his Pokephone a few centimeters from there. When he was that close, Rex noticed red eyes and a stench of darkness. There was no doubt: all of they were infected by the dark atom.

The Galvantula wrapped him in a web and Rex was completely trapped. Mina was trying to escape: she had no desire to fight these bugs and was running scared. However, the Galvantulas blocked every possible passage of the clearing and he had nowhere to go. Soon, one of them blocked her way and trapped her in the web, dropping her Pokephone on her as well.

Then they began to drag them back to their nest. Rex knew it would be the end of them if they were dragged here. He could feel that his tail was still free and he tried to break free, but his Pokephone was still far away and the closest one was Mina's. The latter was at his side... he could try to free them both, but would it be a good plan?

"Mina, relax" Rex told her, trying to calm her down, "They used to scare me too, but then I realized that I could crush them if I was brave. We are bigger than these insects"

"But these insects are bigger than us, how come you're not afraid of them?" she asked.

"Because if I let fear overcome me, it will be the end" his friend replied, "I feel afraid, but I must show courage that is worth it to get out of this, are you going to give up and be eaten or something worse or will you fight for your life squashing them like the insects they should be?"

At that moment, Rex freed them both with the fire from his tail. Now, he rushed to free Zack as well, but all the Galvantulas blocked his way.

"Flamethrower!"

Rex attacked and managed to defeat some of them, but the ones that were still managed to trap him in an Electroweb and shut his mouth. Mina was now cornered. Zack couldn't reach his Pokephone either, but he could pass Mina's to her. The question was: would he have the courage to get them out of this? From the looks of it, it didn't.

"Mina!" Zack yelled at her, "You don't have to be afraid of spiders. You must relax and think that you will not die if you fight against that insect, do not allow it to touch you: Do not be afraid, fight!

Mina reflected on it: it was hard to do, but as Rex and Zack said, it was better than nothing. She lunged at them.

"Double kick!"

With a few quick kicks, she knocked out one, but the number was still far superior. Then, a glow appeared on her chest: a symbol of the earth. Her Pokephone also flashed Zack, releasing his tail, hit it and threw it towards Mina, getting caught by her.

"My turn!" she exclaimed, "Ultra evolution!"

The glow covered its body and it began to grow, as well as gain some weight and sturdiness.

"Nidorina, Ultra Evolves to... Nidoqueen!"

Her Nidorina body had fully matured into that of a Nidoqueen. Feeling more power than ever and physical strength as well, he swept away the five Galvantulas that were thrown at him like trash.

"That's better than using a broom!" Zack river.

"I'm sure, let me help you..." Mina told him using her claws, freeing Zack and Rex.

But the insects did not stop coming out. However, Rex and Zack recovered their devices.

"Ultra Evolution!"

"Charmeleon, Ultra Evolves to... Charizard!"

"Luxio, , Ultra Evolves to... Luxray!"

Charizard and Luxray entered the scene and collaborated in the match.

"Zack, we'll cover you" Rex told him, "Find the moonstone... Flare!"

With that attack, Rex opened the way for Zack to quickly cross to the side of the wall that he had indicated.

"There it is" Zack said preparing an attack, " Iron tail!"

Zack hit the rock, but it was too hard to break.

"Does not break!" he shout.

"Rex, throw a flamethrower over there" Mina suggested, as she shot down two more Galvantulas "I have a plan"

"Okay," Rex said, " Flamethrower!"

The intense fire from the movement of the Charizard impacted on the rock increasing its temperature to the point of making them like volcanic rock. When he finished, he realized that Mina was taking a lot of air.

"Blizzard!"

A powerful, icy blast of air from his mouth froze the spot where Rex had hit with the Flamethrower. Now, a small crack had been generated. Zack used Iron Tail again, which ended up destroying the crack, causing a stone to fall that was grayer than the others and with several marks: a moonstone.

"Now, we just need to get out..." Rex began to say once Zack had the stone, but the last Galvantulas in this long nest stood in front of them.

"I'll take care of it..." Mina said, " Hyper beam!"

Mina attacked with a powerful blast of energy that finished off the ten remaining Galvantula, stripping them of dark atoms. However, that attack consumed a lot of energy and she returned to her base form after using it. Rex and Zack took her out of there, as they had no intention of finding out if the Galvantula would be good or still act like spiders.

When they got outside, Mina thanked them.

"Thank you," he said, "To both of you"

"You're welcome," Rex replied, returning to his base form.

"Yes, tonight you got your evolution" Zack told him, "Congratulations"

"Although we should rest in this forest for now" Rex suggested seeing how exhausted his friend was, "After using that move, you got quite exhausted. We need to rest and early tomorrow we'll meet the others"

Mina appreciated the gesture and only had one thing to say:

"At least, there is a beautiful full moon"
