Emily is about six and a half months pregnant. She's in nesting mode. She's actually packed and repacked her hospital bag about five times already. It just never seems quite right to her.

Emily is at the store with Sean doing some baby shopping. She's looking for some mini cribs. She'd brought Sean along, because she's watching him while Aaron is at work.

"You know, I've never been to a mall before." Sean admitted.

Sean was practically skipped while holding Emily's hand. He was so excited about being at the mall, but the size of it was huge and he was afraid of getting lost. That's why he's holding Emily's hand.

"Never?"

Sean shook his head, "Aaron doesn't like shopping."

Emily laughed, "Yeah. Most guys don't."

Over the last week, Sean had started opening up more to the Rossi family. He didn't say much, and nothing at all when Aaron was around. But when Aaron was at work, he talked a little bit.

"Emmy?" Sean spoke

"Yeah?"

Sean looked up at her with his big, wide eyes, "I wish I was part of your family."

"I love you too, Sean." Emily said, understanding that's what the six year old was saying.

Sean's stared at Emily. His mouth dropped open, like she had said a bad word.

"You said the L word." The six year old uttered

Emily tilted her head, "You've never had someone tell you they love you."

"No. Daddy never says I love you. To me, or to Aaron."

"But surely, Aaron has said it to you."

Sean raised his eyebrows, "Men don't say I love you to other dudes."

"Well, I'm sorry about that, Sean. We'll have to change that."

Meanwhile at the basketball court, Derek and Luke had just finished their second game for the day. It was about time for Derek to go home. He knew dinner was going to be ready in about thirty minutes because on the weekend they always had dinner at the same time. And on the weekdays too, if his dad didn't have to work late for a case. Anyways, Derek had to shower before dinner.

"That was a good game you played, kid. Well done, not many people can beat me, but I really should be heading home." Derek said, "You should come over for dinner. My dad's making homemade spaghetti."

Luke just smiled, but there was a sadness in his eyes, "I'm sorry. I can't. I have to...I just gotta go."

Before Luke could say or reveal anything that he shouldn't, he quickly turned around and walked away. Briskly. He was walking as fast as humanly possible without running.

Derek let out a sigh as he watched Luke practically running away. He had been playing basketball with Luke for almost two weeks. Other than the fact that Luke was great at basketball, Derek didn't know two things about the kid. He'd never met Luke's parents or even been to his house. Derek had invited Luke over for dinner a few times, but every time Luke politely declined.

"What are you hiding, Luke?" Derek asked, speaking more to himself than anyone else. Luke was already too far away to hear Derek.

Back at the the mall with Emily and Sean, Emily is in the checkout stand. Sean was standing just outside the store at one of those mall carousels. The mini ones that are for kids where you put twenty-five cents in.

Sean wanted to ride it and since Emily could see the carousel, she had given him a quarter so he could go ride it.

The ride was over before Emily was done at the checkout, but Sean didn't go running back inside to her. He'd met a little boy that had ridden on the ride with him. He started talking with the boy - Rian Jones. Sean learned that Rian was waiting for his big sister. Just like Sean was waiting for Emily.

When Emily exited the store, she walked over to Sean so they could leave, but then she saw Rian.

"Emmy!" Sean exclaimed, "This is Rian."

"Little King?" Emily questioned as she at the little boy

Rian's eyes went wide as his mouth dropped open. He couldn't believe it.

"LyLy?!" Rian mimicked, hopefully

Emily smiled as she set down the box down and then embraced Rian in a hug, picking him up briefly. She hadn't seen him in almost two years. He had just turned three about two weeks before they were removed from their foster home. He was taller now, but feeling the weight of him in her arms, Emily felt like he hadn't gained much weight. His clothes were also really loose on him, like they were a size too big.

Sean was staring at Emily and Rian, curiously.

"Oh, Sean, Rian was my foster brother up until almost two years ago." Emily explained

Sean nodded, "Oh."

"So Little King, are you here by yourself? Where's Tiny?"

"She's in the store right over there." Rian replied, pointing directly across from the store that Emily had walked out of, "I wanted to ride the horse."

Emily hummed, "Mhm...of course. So you still love horses?"

Rian smiled, "Yeah."

"And you don't call them whizzies anymore?"

"No. I can say horses now."

Emily gave a nod, "I see that. Do you want me to wait with you until Tiny comes out?"

Rian shook his head, "I'm gonna go in and find her. I know where she is."

"Well it was really nice seeing you, Little King. I love you." Emily said, hugging him again, "Give Tiny my love too."

Rian hugged Emily back, "I love you too, LyLy."
