Chapter 3 - A Long Night - Part 2
Stadium
Leona, Ralf and Maxima arrive at the stadium, they see the entrance full as they spot the lists announcing the teams that would participate
"Nothing seens to be out of the ordinary.." - Leona sees the fight between Najd and Athena continuing
"Keep your eyes open. This event is full of people, the possibilities of them attacking are high." - Heidern
"Commander, someone wants to see you." - Says one of Heidern's men entering in the room.
"Who is it? And you made sure to take this person to the room with the UV lights?" - Heidern turns around
"I guess you will be happy to know that I passed your tests, Commander... I'm not a vampire." - Says a voice coming from the shadows behind the mercenary
Heidern's mercenary moves as the strange shadow puts a foot inside
"You. What are you doing here in South Town?" - Asks Heidern
"A friend of mine is lost... Someone important to me, he was seen last time on South Town, neither him and his partners haven't been seen in a while." - Says the shadow
"Hmph, Ash Crimson. I understand why are you here now... Elisabeth Blanctorche." - as Heidern says this, the shadow steps to the UV lights on the room revealing herself to be Elisabeth Blanctorche
"A little bird told me you and your group were also in South Town, and didn't participated in this tournament, I guess you know why I'm here? Tell me what is going on with these vampires in the outside, help me to find him and I will help you in return. You could use some more help, Commander. After all what we're going against isn't a simple group of ten vampires or eight, is an entire army." - Elisabeth
"Commander, a new victim was found close to the beach..." - Says the mercenary woman arriving
"Another victim?" - Heidern
"Yes, is Terry Bogard." - Says the woman
"What?" - Heidern, Elisabeth and Whip are surprised hearing this
Stadium
"Argh!" - Najd is sended back to the ground, she gets up staring at Athena
"(She is barely using her full power against me, I can feel it. Damn it! I'm really that much of a pushover?)" - Najd
"Argh!" - Shun'ei
"Are you sure you're right?" - Isla
"I am! I don't know what is happening, but I feel this strange dark chi nearby... Don't know where?" - Kyo approaches Shun'ei as he seens him looking everywhere at the other participants
"You don't look well, Shun'ei." - Kyo
"I'm fine, is just that this chi... Is strange." - Shun'Ei
"(If Kagura was here, she would probably have some type of feeling too. The air has been feeling dense since earlier before Mai left, I thought it was Yagami being around the stadium but no, this isn't his chi.)" - Kyo
"(Whatever is it, is a very dark chi... I can barely felt it compared to how much Shun'ei can. But there's no doubt something strange is going on.)" - Kyo looks at the rest of the fighters in the lobby
South Town's Streets
Iori Yagami is seen walking on the streets towards the stadium, the only thing he can think about it is vengeance.
"Huh?" - Suddenly Yagami hears a sound of a bottle falling out, he turns to the nearby alley seeing it empty
"Going somewhere, Yagami?" - Iori hears a voice coming from the nearby lightpost
"Hmph! I should had assumed I would see your face again in this cesspool, Kisaragi." - Iori sees Eiji Kisaragi standing on the lightpost
Eiji lands in front of Iori with a face full of determination
"You know why I'm here, isn't it?" - Eiji
"Yes, you clearly have some kind of death wish." - Iori gets into his fight stance
Without saying more, Eiji launches to attack Iori, he throws three kunais as a distraction to approach to Yagami, only for Yagami to counter with a oniyaki
"Disappear!" - Eiji uses his Ryuueijin on Iori
"Argh!" - Yagami rolls having dodge the attack
"Eiji jumps kicking Yagami with a combination of three kicks, the fight continues as both fighters are deep in the alley now, using the walls Eiji tries to land a kick on Yagami, Yagami dodges and counters with a upwards slash hurting him
"Ah!" - Eiji
"You're still the same idiot from 95, you're still not match for me." - Iori
"Hehe.. You think I'm the same? Oh all this time I was just playing with you, by the contrary, Iori. You're the one who hasn't changed a bit!" - Eiji gets up looking at Yagami with a twisted smile
"..." - Iori
"Allow me to show you, how much I have changed!" - Eiji removes his mask showing two large canine fangs for Yagami's surprise
In a blink, he vanishes appearing behind Yagami
"Scared?" - Eiji is about to grab Yagami
"What?" - Iori dodges quickly moving dodging Eiji's attempt at grabing him
"What's wrong? Scared of lossing your blood?" - Eiji
"(What the hell happened to him?!)" - Iori
Stadium - 10:30 PM
"What a show, that girl Najd refuses to give up." - Comments the espectators in a group including a hooded person
"..." - The hooded person stares at the fight paying attention to Najd and Athena until
*Beep beep* - The sound of the mobile phone is heared, the hooded person pulls out its phone
"... Is time." - Says a voice coming from the other side of the line
"Understood!" - Says the hooded person looking at other five persons watching the show
The hooded person gets up catching the attention of the people behind this person
"Hey, move out! We want to see the fight!" - Says a man alongside a woman behind this person
"Hehehe... Sorry but the expectacle is cancelled!" - The hooded person removes its hood revealing to be not other than Yuri Sakazaki now sporting large fangs and red eyes
"What?!" - The man barely reacts as Yuri bites him for the terror of the woman who had coming with him
The other hooded persons remove their hoods starting to attack the public
"AHHHH!" - Screams of terror fill the stadium for the surprise of Najd and Athena
"What is going on?" - Najd
"Is that Yuri?" - Athena opens her eyes widely seeing Yuri biting a woman in the distance
The fighters on the lobby manage to see this mess happening on the stadium
"What the hell?" - Benimaru
"..." - Kyo is shocked seeing some recognizable faces like Yuri, Robert, King, Kasumi, Malin, Xiangfei, Chang, Choi, Xanadu, Alice, Shen and Blue Mary attacking other people and biting them
Athena, Najd and Clemence are approached by King and Blue Mary.
"This has to be a joke!" - Isla
"Meitenkun." - Shun'ei
"Yes?" - Says the shocked Meitenkun being actually awakened by the shock
"Tell this isn't real?" - Shun'ei
"... I wish it wasn't!" - Meitenkun
"We have to enter!" - Leona
"Damn it! The Commander ended up being right!" - Ralf and the rest make their way inside the stadium seeing the people fleeing in panic
"Hi Athena! Hi... What was your name again?" - Yuri
"..." - Najd is shocked seeing both Yuri and Mary up close
"Oh it doesn't matter, you still look tasty enough, same with you Clemence." - Says Yuri looking at the frightened Clemence and Najd
"Yuri, what happened to you?" - Athena
"Something wonderful, Athena. I have been reborn!" - Yuri
"Reborn? You look like a living corpse!" - Athena
"Yeah? I feel wonderful actually, in fact I feel prettier than ever. You should it try it, Athena. You're going to look wonderful as one of us." - Yuri
"One of us?" - Athena
"Yes, just one small bite. Is all I ask, is all I need. And you will see how you will thank me later." - Yuri jumps trying to grab Athena. Athena moves teleporting behind Yuri hitting her with a kick
Mary approaches Najd and Clemence as Athena is being attacked by Yuri
"My, why are you two afraid, little lambs?" - Mary
"I don't understand, what happened to you two? You two look..." - Najd
"Wonderful? We know! Come on, come closer and you will understand it better yourself, let me share our secret with you two." - Mary
Mary runs to attack Najd, Najd uses her shadow powers to cover her body with them holding off Blue Mary
"Mr. Bellamy run! I will keep her busy!" - Says Najd struggling with the inhuman force of Mary now turned into a vampire
Pao Pao Cafe
"I can't believe we are officially broke." - Says Darli Dagger sitting with Nakoruru, Haohmaru and Mizuki Rashoujin on a table of Pao Pao Cafe
"I'm sorry, Darli. But it seens all the money that we had got from some of your treasures is over." - Nakoruru
"Perhaps this wouldn't had happened if someone hadn't spended it all on fancy clothes." - Says Haohmaru looking at Mizuki with an annoyed stare
"Hmph! Maybe you fools enjoy to always sport the same thorn sheets you wear all time, but me. I have needs. I can't wear the same dress all the time. Unlike you, Samurai." - Mizuki
"I told you we should had abandoned this witch in that road." - Haohmaru
"Enough! You two, calm down. This isn't the end... Sure, we may not have anymore money, but we can find ways to get it... Like working?" - Nakoruru
Haohmaru and Darli look down wondering what they could get a job at
"I have a better idea." - Mizuki
"What?" - Darli
"How about we go to one of those places.. The ones were money is stored, the so called banks, we disguise ourselves with my powers and steal all the money we can from those humans." - Says Mizuki with a smile that provokes more concern than anything
"NO! We aren't going to steal from a bank, you haven't changed at all! I'm sure we can find a job where we are good at. We can get some money to afford still being here." - Nakoruru
"Nakoruru, are you sure we need to stay here for much more time? This threat that you saw in your visions last night, wasn't it related to the KOF tournament happening here." - Darli
"I dont know. But it was strange.. Isn't related to the tournament, this vision had the whole world being in ruins but it didn't had anything to do with the threats of Verse and Wei Kamui. That's why we can't leave yet... Until this threat is destroyed." - Nakoruru
"And this strange chi you felt around the area, are you sure is here?" - Haohmaru
"I know is here nearby. But everything looks so normal." - Says Nakoruru looking at the people that were inside the place, having a normal night
A shadow approaches Nakoruru and the rest
"Hello, you're those fascinating swordmasters that participated in the last tournament isn't it?" - Says a female voice as Nakoruru and the rest turn to see this person, a woman of large brown hair sporting a elegant night dress with a elegant scarf
"Ms. Anastasia! What are you doing here?" - Nakoruru sees the host of the last tournament, the business woman know as Anastasia
"Visiting South Town like you. Of course passing by, I couldn't avoid listening to you guys having some financial problems... Perhaps I can help?" - Anastasia
"That would be very kind of your part, Ms. Anastasia but we can-" - Nakoruru is interrupted by Darli
"Sure, that would be very kind like Nakoruru said!" - Says Darli closing Nakoruru's mouth
"Good, you would only need to do a small favour for me, is nothing big and I promise the pay will be a good one." - Says Anastasia with a kind smile
Looking at Darli, Haohmaru and even Mizuki nodding. Nakoruru has not other option
"Sure! We will help you out, Ms. Anastasia! What do you need?" - Nakoruru
"Oh, like I said is nothing big..." - Anastasia
"What I need is..." - Anastasia
"THAT ALL OF YOU DIE!" - Says Anastasia with a supernatural tone as she gets up
*Crash* - A strange sound is heared as from inside of Anastasia's dress three worm-like creatures come out with them attacking Nakoruru and the rest
Haohmaru moves back as Darli grabs Nakoruru but for their shock all the worms go towards Mizuki
"What the hell?!" - Mizuki is grabed by two of the worms from her legs, the third worm rises up becoming more large and approaching the surprised Mizuki opening its mouth, showing its sharp teeth
"WHAT?¨ - Mizuki
"Bon appétit!" - Says Anastasia as in a matter of seconds the worm like creature starts eating Mizuki sucking her inside its body as the muffled screams of the herald of Ambrosia are heared slowly being devoured by the worm-like creature
"ARGH!" - Is the last scream Nakoruru hears of Mizuki seeing this worm finally devouring her entire body
"W-What just happened?" - Darli
"Mmmh.. Now I understand it, she was very weak after spending alot of time inside that creature. My poor other self from this future was just a shell of the goddess she was." - Anastasia
"Her other self?" - Haohmaru
"NO! It can't be!" - Nakoruru
"What is going on, guys? Why did this woman killed Mizuki?" - Darli is confused and scared
"Hehe... You're not that bright aren't you, Darli?" - Anastasia puts her hand on her face
Nakoruru and the rest see Anastasia ripping out the skin of her face showcasing a familiar face behind this fake skin
"MIZUKI! B-But how?" - Nakoruru
"Impossible!" - Haohmaru
"Rakikiki... Oh you rats don't know how surprised I was to see you in my tournament last year." - Mizuki
"But how? Two Mizukis?" - Nakoruru
"What's wrong, you meddling little insect? You really think you're the only one able to travel in time?" - Mizuki shows up a strange talisman with her hand
"Now that I finally have you at my mercy, I'll finally get rid of you and continue with my plans in this new age." - A big red aura covers Mizuki as her eyes glow red, the entire place becomes sealed making the people inside unable to escape
"Haohmaru, Darli! Don't let her scare you, we can defeat her, we just need to have faith." - Says Nakoruru pulling out her dagger as Mamahaha prepares to fight too leaving her shoulder
"(This has to be a nightmare, her chi is huge! How did she become more powerful?)" - Nakoruru is baffled feeling the huge chi Mizuki now sports, wondering if they even are match for her anymore
"Come to me! I look foward to kill you all, especially you, girl from Kamui Kotan. I'll make you wish you have never traveled to this age, rakikikiki!" - Mizuki
"Move move!" - Clark and the rest move making their way on the stadium, the people keep running away from the place.
Leona and the rest create a distraction managing to call the attention of the vampires
"Ugh!" - Mary is kicked by Najd
"Not bad, mysterious girl. But that's not enough, my body barely feels any pain now." - Mary gets up fixing her neck
"Athena, get out of the platform, you can't deal with all of them!" - Master Chin appears alongside Kensou
"I know, that's what I'm trying to do." - Athena
"Quick, come out with us to the backstages, we need to get out of here!" - Kensou
"Najd! Come with us, your team is probably already escaping." - Athena
"Ah, ah!" - Seeing the group of Vampires approaching them, Najd decides to run alongside Athena and her team
Using her shadows, she manages to get inside the backstage with Athena and the rest.
"Are you alright, Athena?" - Shun'ei
"Yes, we need to close this entrance!" - Athena, Daimon, Kim, Ralf, Clemence, Angel and Isla close the door with all the objects they find in the lobby.
*Crack* - Hits start to be heared on the door as the vampires try to get inside
"We need to get out of here, they won't take long to destroy the barricade." - Leona
"There's two paths to exit this place, the one to the right could work?" - Ralf
"No Ralf, that path must be already filled with vampires, the onew from the stadium aren't the only ones, they probably called the rest of the group to come for us. We need to take the one of the left!" - Leona
Kyo and the rest of fighters follow Leona and Ralf as the barricade of the door is broken by Yuri, Chang, Kasumi and Blue Mary
Meanwhile
"Stay back!" - Says two male voices as their footsteps are heared in the desolated streets of South Town
"Keep running, man." - Says one of the voices
"Do this freaking psychos ever get tired?" - Ask the other voices as a big shadow is seen running alongside a short medium size shadow
The two take a shortcut from the behind of a store, ending in an alley
"I think we loss them, argh." - Both shadows fall on the ground, revealing to be Raiden and Hwa Jai turning to see that apparently their chasers have been left behind
"You gentlemen seen to be in a hurry." - Says a ominous female voice being heared
Raiden and Hwa Jai see not other than Chizuru Kagura sporting her white and black outfit mixed with some purple details instead of red.
"You're that woman from the last tournament, Chizuru Kagura, right?" - Raiden
"Come on, don't stay looking at us like that, help us to escape here, Kagura!" - Hwa Jai
"Yes, whatever you want, we will give it to you but help us to get out of this city." - Raiden
"Hmph! Whatever I want?" - Ask Chizuru
"Yes, help us to get away from-" - Raiden is interrupted as the group of vampires chasing after them arrive
"Oh no! Is them! The damn vampires!" - Hwa Jai
"Vampires eh? Now that does sound interesting. Hello boys, looking for something?" - Says Chizuru seeing the vampires Alfred, Cheng and Karman Cole
"Chizuru! We don't want trouble, but the gremlin and the fatman are ours!" - Karman Cole
"..." - Raiden and Hwa become nervous
"What did these two did that you'd come hunting for them here?" - Chizuru
"We think Billy Kane might had reached out to them." - Karman Cole
"What? No! We never recieved any call from him?" - Raiden
"That's a lie, you just want a excuse to turn us into one of you blood-sucking freaks!" - Hwa Jai
"Aww, how cute! You two think we want to turn you both into part of our group?" - Says Chizuru closing her eyes fixing her hair
"What? You-You're!" - Raiden and Hwa Jai are freaked out by seeing a strange aura coming out of Chizuru
"You see guys, sometimes a girl just wants to eat some good junk food! HEHEHEHE!" - Chizuru's eyes becomes red as she smiles showing up her sharp fangs
Stadium
"What's wrong, Kyo? Feeling scared!" - Says King as she and the rest of the vampires chase Kyo and the rest now having managed to escape out of the stadium
"Keep running! We will lose them in the sewers!" - Ralf
"Augh!" - Najd is taken out of by Yuri who throws a traffict signal at her
"Yes! I got her!" - Yuri
"Nice shot, Yuri!" - King
"Najd!" - Athena is about to return for her but she is stopped by Kensou and Kyo
"Are you crazy, Athena? We need to keep moving!" - Kensou
"But-" - Athena
"I hate to say it, Athena. But there's nothing we can do for her. If we return, we will be taken too." - Says Kyo also feeling awful at leaving the poor girl behind
"Help me, please!" - Najd
"No, I can't let that happen!" - Athena returns to where Najd is for Kensou and Kyo's surprises
"Wait Athena!" - Kyo and Kensou
"Take this!" - Athena aparts Yuri and King from Najd, she quickly grabs her and runs back with her
"Athena, you saved me?" - Says Najd as Athena runs with her trying to avoid the other vampires grabing her as they come behind her
"Come here, little girl!" - Chang uses his iron ball to try to stop Athena's path
Both girls are face to face with Chang
"ARG!" - Using his powers, Shun'ei punches Change sending him to crash with the other vampires, Kyo and Kensou take Athena away from them as they keep running
"Athena... AH!" - Najd starts feeling sick
"You have to drop me!" - Najd
"What? Why?" - Athena
"Because I'm feeling-" - Najd
"THIRSTY!" - Says Najd looking back at Athena as her fangs grow as well as her pupils become red and her face deforms to look exactly like a vampire, Athena quickly ralizes Najd had been biten by the vampires now having a mark on her neck
"ARH!" - Athena leaves Najd teleporting closer to Kensou and Kyo, Najd gets up now fully turned into a vampire as she starts chasing after the rest using her powers
"Damn it!" - Kyo
Meanwhile
"Mmmmh, not bad but it could had been better, if only it tasted more spicy." - Says Chizuru cleaning blood from her lips as she walks in the streets looking for more preys
"ARGH!" - Chizuru sees in the horizon not other than Eiji Kisaragi being burned to a crisp on the ground by purple flames
Approaching to him isn't other than Iori Yagami, seeing him makes Kagura open her eyes widely
"Yagami! You bastard!" - Eiji tries to get up as the flames burn his body, his left hand is burned
"..." - Yagami stays silently watching Eiji die being consumed by the flames
"I'll return! I'll kill you!" - Eiji speaks his last words before being turned into ashes
Iori looks everywhere, the streets are lonely at this hour, nobody around. He decides to return to walk away
"Well what do we have here. This night became more interesting than what I thought." - Says Kagura looking from the edge of a corner
"Mmmh, I think is time for the main dish... One that I have been waiting to taste for a long time." - Says Kagura licking her lips as Iori walking away is seen reflecting on her pupils
