Scorch is sitting in the living room next to Kaleigh and Summer sleeping on a chair. Scorch is still recalling the activities of the previous day to Kaleigh who is still tired and writing everything down on a notepad with her psychic powers. After Scorch finishes recalling, Kaleigh instantly goes to sleep as the notepad and pen both fall to the floor. Scorch picks her up and puts her comfortably on the couch and as he's finished he sees Yako exploring the house and goes to her. As he walks towards her, he thinks about how he has so many female friends.
"Hi Scorch" Yako says with a large smile.
"Hey Yako" Scorch replies, "You sleep well?"
She nods still admiring the house.
"This is where you live?" She asks, "There are a lot of rooms"
"Yea, currently there are only four of us." He says, "There is me, Summer a Leafeon, Kaleigh an Espeon and Cinnamon my child and an Eevee."
Yako looks on the couch and sees Summer and Kaleigh both sleeping on the couch with both of them covering themselves with a blanket. She then looks at Scorch.
"So why am i here?" She asks.
"Well i didn't exactly want to leave you alone outside whist your asleep so i brought you here."
"Also who's bed was i in?"
"Mine"
Yako blushes but it cant be seen due to yellowish reddish fur. Scorch doesn't mind that and starts to go out.
"Where are you going?" She asks
"To town, there may be an influx of pokemon coming and I'm probably the main reason." He answers
"I'm coming with you then," She says whist messing with a tail. "Mostly because i need to meet with Blaze and Overgrowth in the guild."
Scorch agrees and both get ready by brushing their fur and meeting outside the treehouse. Scorch leaves a note for the girls and Yako and Scorch start to walk towards Cand Ocean and both of them hear quite a commotion going on inside and decide to speed up. When they reach somewhat near the gate, they see a massive line of Water Type pokemon waiting in a line to get. Yako doesn't understand why they are all here however Scorch is fully aware and they both go into the city presenting their guild cards. They go to the guild where its full of pokemon and Scorch notices Shard in a booth thinking. He walks over with Yako and they both sit opposite her.
"Huh Scorch?" Shard says whist quite surprised seeing him. "What brings you here today?"
"I don't even need to ask" He replies
With a sigh, Shard begins to explain. "Apparently there was a kind of infection in the ocean and pokemon from the ocean have come to surface and since we are the closest to the ocean in distance and ascetic, they came here. Some have even said that Manaphy and Moltres are there keeping the infected pokemon inside the ocean."
"Wait Moltres?" Yako says slightly surprised looking at Scorch. Scorch shakes his head indicating he wants to keep it a secret and she nods.
"Yea Moltres, why? I have zero clue... Its been way too stressful for us here at the guild since most of the quests here are to do with the ocean and few are land based so we cant keep up. Also with the influx of new members, we need more housing." Shard explains.
"Maybe ask neighboring cities for help?" Scorch suggests
"We already have," Shard says. "Cand Volcano will be taking in around twenty percent of the pokemon here and Surgelands will take five percent. That still leaves a lot of pokemon to house."
Yako soon notices Blaze and Overgrowth in the distance and leaves to go with them and Shard and Scorch are left alone in the booth. During their talk Scorch asks about the Grass Type base location and Shard gives him a rough location even though he already knows exactly where it is and asks if he could take some of the Water Types to investigate the area and maybe get rid of the Grass Types forever. Shard agrees on these terms and posts a new quest to investigate the area for Grass Types and hundreds of pokemon sign up and Scorch brings along ten. The Sun trio being Yako, Blaze and Overgrowth. A lapras called Nessie. A pair of Vaporeon's called Cascade and Coral and finally a bunch of rando's. They all start to walk towards the location where Scorch knows where the base is but acts clueless and everyone starts to search the area.
"Shouldn't we be searching for their base?" Cascade asks.
"Well, look at this wall." Scorch points at the wall where the base is hidden, "Doesn't it seem slightly suspicious?"
"Not really, its a wall" says one of the random Water Types.
"Think again, when has a boulder like this ever just been next to a wall on its side?" Scorch explains. "Think of it like a secret mechanism. They are Grass Types and most can control nature so who says it couldn't be behind a secret door?"
Everyone starts to think the same and how it is oddly suspicious. They all begin to search around the wall and of course Scorch takes the boulder. Yako's group goes somewhat into the forest. The twins go on top of the wall to see if anything is up and the rest just roam protecting the group during their search. Scorch starts messing around with the boulder trying to push it or do anything with it but cant and soon enough, the protector group come back with a patrol group that was coming this way. This sparks a hint of fear inside of Scorch as he might've not killed all the Grass Types inside because of this. Scorch goes to them whist the protector group goes back to protecting and everyone else continuing their search.
"Now then, tell me." Scorch says whist facing the other way. "How do you open the door?"
"Tch i wont tell you," They reply.
"So there is a door in the wall, thank you for confirming that." Scorch turns around and looks them in the face. "Now then, how do we open it."
The Grass Type is slowly starting to sweat out of fear and notices the other members starting to surround them and soon enough the pressure is too much for them and they spill.
"ALL YOU NEED IS A GRASS TYPE!" They yell out.
Everyone but Scorch is confused by this but Scorch forces them up and brings to the boulder with everyone following and a small click can be heard and soon enough a door opens up in the wall and then out comes two Grass Types who are checking who opened it and they see Scorch with his party and the captured Grass Type.
Scorch burns both of them with a Fire Blast and they all start to go inside with the captured Grass Type following them as they don't want to die. The party clear room after room and do this throughout the whole base. They kill of many many Grass Type holding up in rooms and find many dead bodies of other pokemon. They ignore this for now and keep pushing through the base and finally they enter what looks like a final room. Scorch recognizes this place and it was his fight with the Grass Type leader. They notice the throne and one of the Water Types runs to it but soon enough they find out its booby trapped as their body becomes headless from a vine whip. The party look at Scorch for guidance and he is thinking of a plan.
"Alright... Yako, Blaze ill need your help here." He says
Both look at each other confused but walk next to him.
"So my plan is we fill the room with smoke and any wires will be covered in smoke allowing us to see them." Scorch says, "Plus it kills any that are hiding in here by suffocation."
Everyone goes into the previous room apart from the three Fire Types and soon enough smoke is seen coming from the room the pokemon just entered. They return once most of the smoke is gone and see Yako, Blaze and Scorch all badly coughing due to the lack of oxygen. They recover and notice the amount of traps that have been set up for them. Scorch goes to one and examines it whist the others carefully watch. This is cut short when they get attacked by Grass Types and one of the Water Types dies to a Leaf Storm. Everyone runs for cover and see the higher floors of the the cave and Scorch makes a run to an exit. He makes it whist Cascade follows him barely dodging an energy ball. The now duo make their way through the upper floors eliminating all the Grass Types and once they have finished go back down to the group.
"That should be all of them," Scorch says to the group. "Now just one final question." He looks at the remaining Grass Type. "There has to be some sort of treasure since they have killed many pokemon. They had to have hidden it somewhere."
Everyone looks at the Grass Type and their fear starts to build again as the eyes of the party focus on the now lone Grass Type.
"W-wait, I'm not that highly ranked," They say whist slightly panicking. "I don't know where anything is!"
Coral decides to get Infront of them.
"Well? Tell us then." She says in a threatening tone. "Everyone please leave us, I'm sure i can get them to talk"
Everyone is confused but leaves anyway. Yako decides to talk with Scorch for the time being whist they wait. Blaze and Overgrowth don't mind as they know she likes Scorch. Cascade soon joins Yako and Scorch and starts to ask questions.
"So I've noticed you two are quite close." She says, "Are you two perhaps dating?"
Yako blushes and doesn't reply but rather messing with her tails. Scorch denys it saying he isn't with anyone. This makes Yako extremely happy however she hides it to not show her feelings towards Scorch. Soon after the conversations have been coming to an end, Coral pops her head around the corner.
"I managed to get him to talk," She says with a huge smile. "Just ask him any question you want to."
Everyone walks in and sees the Grass Type absolutely terrified of her.
"Okay bud, let me ask you again," Scorch says, "Where is the treasure hidden?"
"Its hidden behind a wall," They say whist backing away and pointing at a wall, "Your all freaks, and you call us monsters."
"Keep quiet because I'm sure my sister wouldn't mind another lesson," Cascade says obviously angry.
They keep quiet and go to the wall they pointed at and open it. Behind it is the treasure from every single one of their victims and their personal treasures. They all take as much as possible and leave the place. The Grass Type follows them despite being scared of even following the group but that quickly changes when they stab one of the random Water Types and hides the body with nobody noticing. Soon Scorch realizes one of them is missing and just as he does so he is taken hostage by the Grass Type and everyone stays still.
"NOBODY MOVE OR HE GETS IT," They say with a leaf blade to his neck
"SCORCH!" Yako yells obviously not happy and ready to blast a flamethrower.
"It's fine everyone," Scorch says reassuring everyone, "I can handle this."
Everyone is tense wondering how he'll escape. The other Water Type decides against it and charges at the Grass Type with an Ice Punch but soon is killed with a Leaf Blade. Everyone else is shocked by this and Scorch uses the distraction as a way to escape and gets out of their grip. Yako takes the shot and burns their entire face giving them very very bad third degree burns. Yako goes to the body and burns the entire body out of anger for hurting her lover. Everyone takes note not to mess with Yako or Scorch since Yako is obviously angry over Scorch.
After that display, they return back to the guild to say that the Grass Types shouldn't be a problem and Shard gives each of them a reward. Cascade and Coral still don't have a place to go and decide to ask Scorch.
"Hey Scorch," Coral says with a smile.
"Hmm..." Scorch says whist thinking about the next legendary he should convince to help, "Oh sorry, yea girls?"
"Is it okay if we stay with you Scorch..." Cascade says whist messing with her fins.
"That'll probably depend on the others, I don't live alone you see," He explains, "It probably would be a yes since your Vaporeon but I'm not sure if she'll let both of you stay."
"That's fine, its worth a shot," Coral jumps around in excitement.
The three eeveelutions go to the treehouse and Scorch tells the girls to wait outside. He goes inside and the girls inside look at the door as Scorch enters. Summer instantly jumps on him as he enters.
"Hey Summer, you don't need to jump on me y'know?" He says whist trying to get her off, "Also your legs still need to recover."
"I know but its still fun to jump on you," Summer smiles.
"I can sense two pokemon outside, is that why you came in so secretive?" Kaleigh asks whist reviewing the notepad she wrote this morning.
"Very much so," Scorch replies, "COME IN GIRLS."
Kaleigh and Summer are both surprised its another two girls and as they think that, the door opens and two Vaporeon's enter the room and one hides behind Scorch and the other stands next to him. The one next to him speaks up to fill the silence.
"My name is Coral and my sister is called Cascade," Coral says as polite as possible, "We were hoping we could stay here since no other places are available and Scorch said something about getting all eeveelutions in one place so here we are."
"Well Scorch you do manage to amaze me every single day," Kaleigh says whist getting a pen, "Would you like to share a room and have your own rooms?"
"We'd like to share a room please," Coral replies.
"No need to be so formal," Summer says, "As long as you don't trash the place and you do something to contribute your fine to stay here."
