Scorch is sitting on the couch next to Cascade and Coral on either side. Summer is in the Kitchen since it's her turn to cook and Kaleigh is out doing some shopping and Cinnamon is with Kaleigh. Scorch sighs and thinks about going out to hopefully recruit another legendary into his army to help against this plague. Cascade notices he is day dreaming and smacks his back with her tail which brings him back to reality and he looks at her.
"What was that for?" He asks whist's he rubs his back with his tail.
"You were day dreaming," Cascade says.
"So that gives you the right to slap me?" He asks.
"..." Cascade thinks of a response but can't, "Sorry..."
"It's fine, brought me back to reality and i remembered i have something to do," He says as he jumps from the couch catching Coral's attention, "I need some help if you girls want to help?"
Coral and Cascade look at each other and they shake their head.
"That depends on the adventure," Cascade says.
"Well i need some help sub-doing a legendary," He says casually.
"WHAT!" All three girls yell as if he just asked if they wanted to nuke the world.
"You can't do that," Summer says whist popping her head around the corner, "Even so, what legendary?"
"Well we need some very very strong power..." He thinks of someone powerful, "Rayquaza."
The girls look at him concerned and wonder if he is serious or not. They decide against it since Rayquaza resists all their attacks and is one of the few pokemon that can rival and beat Arceus. They all decline his request and he accepts it and goes out to meet with Yako and her group. As he is on the way, he meets Kaleigh and Cinnamon and thinks if Kaleigh would help him.
"Hey Scorch," Kaleigh says whist she puts all the bags down with her psychic powers, "Where you headed?"
"I was headed to the guild to request the help from a friend but i wanna ask you first," He says, "Do you want to help me defeat Rayquaza?"
Kaleigh stands there slightly stunned and Cinnamon emerges from one of the bags.
"Hey Daddy," Cinnamon says, "Who's Rayquaza?"
"He is god of the skies basically sweetheart," Scorch says, "He lives in the ozone layer but he comes down every now and again as he still needs to breathe."
"I would agree to go with you however..." Kaleigh says whist looking down, "Rayquaza is too strong for us eeveelutions."
She leaves with the bags and Cinnamon who tries to leave but keeps getting pushed back into the bag. Scorch sighs and heads to the guild. He opens the door and Shard comes up to him instantly. They sit in a booth and talk for a minute before he gets started on why he actually came here.
"So your here for Yako's squad again?" Shard asks.
Scorch nods, "I know they'll help me despite the task."
"Mind if i know?"
"I'll tell you later," Scorch says as he spots Yako in a booth not too far with the rest of her squad and another pokemon, "That's when we return."
He goes up to Yako and her squad who seem to be arguing on whether Yako actually cares about the squad anymore. He stays close to listen in and he also notices the last pokemon is a Vulpix. He listens on the conversation.
"For the last time Yako... She can't join she's too young and could get hurt," Blaze says whist trying to contain his anger.
"She won't come with us when we go with 'him'." Yako says trying not to say his name.
"I-It's fine sister... I'll wait until I'm older," She says trying to lower the tension.
"No sis your joining, your old enough it's just we do a lot of dangerous quests," Yako says.
"That's my point exactly, your taking us on suicide quests all just for that Flareon," Blaze says with a hint of jealously, "You care more about him then you do us."
Yako sighs and only just notices Scorch just watching and slams her head on the table. Scorch takes this as his time to enter the conversation and Blaze isn't too happy to see him but he ignores it.
"So what's this about?" Scorch asks
"Well just debating whether Yako still cares about the rest of her squad," Blaze says.
"Why?"
"Well ever since you came along, we've been going on more suicide quests like with Moltres," Blaze explains, "We nearly died then and if your here i assume you want to take us on another suicide quest?"
"That is correct but since your having this conversation..." Scorch says slightly betrayed, "I'll just go myself..."
"WAIT!" Yako says whist Scorch is running off.
He runs out from the guild out towards the mountain passing by multiple pokemon confused, however Yako has been chasing after him and he finally stops when he reaches the base of Emerald Stairway. He looks up and is still as magnificent as always. Yako reaches his side and looks up amazed at the view of the cyclone. She is unsure of what to say as she now knows what legendary he wants to deal with next being Rayquaza. She mentally prepares herself and looks at Scorch who is on the floor staring up at the beautiful cyclone.
"Scorch... I said I'd always be by your side so I'm coming with you," Yako says whist smiling, "Let's get Rayquaza on our side."
"Thank you for coming with me Yako," Scorch says whist getting up and slightly crying, "Everyone else doesn't see the issues this world will undergo."
"Wait... Issues?" Yako says confused, "Can you please tell me or at least say something to help me understand."
"I'm not from here Yako," Scorch says whist he hopes she doesn't change the way she sees him, "I'm from another place where this same thing happened and i want to prevent it."
"So you can't stay forever..." Yako says extremely dishearten, "You'll have to go back soon..."
Scorch nods, "I want to save this world before i go back though, i can't bare watching every pokemon suffer the way they did." He says whist he starts walking to the cyclone, "I'll do what i couldn't do last time and save every last pokemon i can, even to my dying breathe. That's my dream right now."
The now duo go forward onward to the beginning of the Emerald Stairway and begin this quite easy journey which surprised both of them since it was mostly Steel, Flying and Dragon Types and both being Fire Types had no issues with the Steels, Flying coverage and Dragon with just brute force. The duo soon come across a checkpoint of sorts and decide to take a break from the fighting and moving. This is Yako's chance for maybe getting some more information out of Scorch.
"Scorch why did you come to our world?" She asks to try and make some small talk.
"It wasn't by choice, i tried getting another mythical to join in our crusade against the plague however i had to battle them and they sent me here presumably as a last resort." He says whist thinking of the reason of sending him here, "It does keep me thinking though, what my pokemon are doing out there without as i was one of the strongest."
"Did you beat Rayquaza in your world?" She asks.
"Oh yes, he was one of our most trusted allies despite being extremely secretive," He says, "His raw power scared off anyone trying to get info out of us and he helped in a major battle however it was too late."
"Do you know his moveset?" She asks to be prepared.
"Yes but i don't think they'd have the same moveset," Scorchs adds on, "His moveset was: Dragon Ascent, Extreme Speed, Earthquake and Draco Meteor."
"Damn he has earthquake to beat us then..." Yako says slightly defeated hoping he had no coverage moves.
"You'll be fine with me here, i had to beat him whist he was in his Mega Form so i had it difficult." He says casually.
"Hmmm..." Yako thinks of another question, "Oh what Mythical did send you here?"
"Oh it was J-" He is about to say who but is cut off by a scream which catches both of their attention.
They run towards the scream as fast as they can ignoring any pokemon in their way and when they do finally reach the pokemon in distress, it's a Glaceon getting really close to falling off the entire Emerald Stairway by a Metagross and two Metangs. Yako sets sun with Drought catching the attention of everyone and Scorch uses Flare Blitz on one of Metangs. The Metagross uses Earthquake to take everyone with it but the Glaceon Protects and Scorch tanks the hit. Yako is too far to be affected and shoots a Flamethrower the Metagross's way. It dodges to the side as one of the Metang uses Flash Cannon towards the Glaceon which dives out of the way and nearly goes off the edge.
Scorch shoots a Fire Blast at the Metagross which it charges through and is about to smack Scorch with a Meteor Mash however he isn't hit and the Glaceon takes the hit with Protect. Scorch looks one of the many entrances into this cloud room and sees an Aegislash exploring and come into the room and is about to join the Metagross's side. Scorch takes the Glaceon and Yako to another room which just so happens to be the checkpoint. He flops onto the extremely fluffy and relaxing cloud below him and sees Yako tending to herself as she got hit by a Flash Cannon by the second Metang. Scorch looks at their newest member and strikes up a conversation.
"So what are you doing up here?" He asks.
"Well i was originally up here to find a treasure but..." She says whist messing with one of her icicles, "There is a sacred rule that nobody but us Glaceon's know."
"And that is?" Scorch asks.
"Anyone who saves us from death we must give our life to them in anyway possible," She says.
Both Yako and Scorch are confused about how they don't know this since Glaceon's aren't too rare. Yako is also a bit jealous since someone will always be around him and she doesn't want that however she ignores it and keeps calm. Scorch on the other hand is thinking of what to do in the future and how to explain this without revealing the secret about Glaceon's. Yako wants to move quickly so she can Scorch a question and says...
"We should probably continue with our quest Scorch,"
"Your right Yako," Scorch says whist coming back to his senses, "We could use your Ice Type moves on Rayquaza, wanna come with us?"
"Of course master," She says whist bowing confusing both of them but choose to ignore it.
With the three of them, they make it quite easily to the top defeating anyone in their path and soon enough come to see Rayquaza chilling reading a book surprising all of them but decide to see if he does anything. After an hour of waiting, Yako decides it's time to get a bit more physical.
"RAYQUAZA WE HAVE COME TO BATTLE YOU!" She yells out slightly scaring Scorch due to how sudden it was and making the Glaceon stare at her with slight concern.
"Oh i knew you were standing there the entire time," He says as a hurricane takes the book away, "I know the reason your here as well, you want me to join your battle in the ocean with this plague."
Scorch nods and steps forward, "We need your power to help us in this quest as I'm sure you know how badly this can actually end."
"I am fully aware of what the plague does to pokemon and I've already taken precautions against it as has the Kyogre and Groudon." He says whist standing staring at the trio.
"Are you sure?" Yako says thinking he's lying, "The entire ocean has already been infected and if Kyogre had a plan wouldn't it be set into motion?"
"Very much so if Kyogre wasn't the first to become infected."
Everyone is stunned by this unsure of what to do next as lord of the sea itself has become infected. Scorch thinks for a second but the Glaceon decides to talk.
"Why don't you help us then?" She asks.
"With Kyogre being infected, Groudon will not wish to become infected himself and would rather stay on land away from water making my job easier," He says whist he starts biting the claws on his tiny arms, "Also most of the water types can't leave the water and need it to live and with Moltres and Manaphy already blocking it then am i really required?"
"That's the thing, some can go on land and how do we know they aren't infected," Scorch says trying his best to sound persuasive, "If one is infected it'll infect the landmass affecting Groudon as well making them team on you and many other legendaries which can't take them both on. You can take them both i know that but can Articuno take them both? Entei? The Regi's?"
Rayquaza thinks for a second and decides on an answer, "I will join your little crusade but only if your able to beat me in battle."
Yako sets up the sun but is immediately gone due to Air Lock from Rayquaza. Scorch knew this would be a hard fight and brought along some extra items being Violent Seeds for himself and Yako. A Nuclear Seed to decrease Rayquaza's defenses and a few Oran Berries for recovery. Yako eats her berry and is covered in a red aura as does Scorch which Rayquaza notices and smirks knowing they are fully serious.
"Good luck and i hope you do come out on top," Rayquaza says whist charging a Hyper Beam.
Scorch charges a Zap Cannon whist Yako uses Nasty Plot and the Glaceon uses Blizzard. Scorch paralyses Rayquaza whist the Glaceon provides extra damage stopping the Hyper Beam from being charged and makes Rayquaza use Earthquake instead. Yako tanks it barely and uses Flamethrower to attack back and the Glaceon Protects whist Scorch joins Yako in the attack with a Flare Blitz.
Rayquaza tanks the attack and the sun goes back up confusing the trio. "Welp I'm too lazy to fight right now and we don't have time to be fighting right now."
"So your joining?" Scorch asks.
"Very much so and i think your city has a crisis," Rayquaza says whist flying from the Cyclone which starts shaking intensely.
The trio run down as fast as they can and reach the bottom as pokemon are seen dropping from the Cyclone but get back up and run to where Rayquaza is going which the trio follows. They all run to Cand Ocean's where Shard is outside looking for Scorch who she notices and run over to. She looks around notices the Flying, Steel and Dragon Types around them.
"I assume you beat him then?" Shard asks.
"Yup but that's not the issue right now," Scorch says, "What's wrong?"
"OH GOD WHERE DO I BEGIN!" Shard says whist panicking, "KYOGRE HAS BEEN SET LOOSE WITH IT'S ORB!"
Everyone looks at them in shock and all start going to the ocean as a roar from the sky is heard and a green figure flies above. Shard is in shock as Rayquaza goes to the Ocean and dodges Origin Pulse the infected Kyogre used. They all go towards the ocean where Moltres is fighting multiple Water Types and keeps burning the ocean to stop them from progressing onto land. Manaphy is also seen using Thunders to keep them at bay. Everyone joins the fight against the infected and Scorch goes onto a rock and overlooks the battle. He sighs as Kaleigh comes up to him.
"You actually went to defeat Rayquaza and you beat him..." She says obviously quite distressed.
"It's fine, we aren't built to fight legendaries but i was trained to fight armies and legendaries are one pokemon armies." Scorch says whist still looking over the battle.
"I'm so sorry i didn't come with you, i could've done so much with my Dazzling Gleams." She says whist tears slowly form in her eyes.
He clears the tears with his tail as he keeps watching the battle. He sighs and looks up to the sky. His dream was to protect this world before it falls to the same fate his did and even despite all his efforts it's slowly coming but last time he didn't have the support of Moltres, Manaphy and Rayquaza. He smiles as he looks over to Kaleigh.
"Thank you for helping me this far," Scorch says.
