Four weeks passed by very quickly. Trudy started Physical Therapy. Adrian came with her.

"Hello. I'm Marc," the therapist said, "You must be Trudy?"

"Yes," Trudy replied, shaking his hand.

"Great," Marc said, "It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too," Trudy replied, "And this is my husband, Adrian."

"Nice to meet you too," Marc said, shaking Adrian's hand.

"Can I come in with her," Adrian asked.

"Of course," Marc replied, "Today we're going to start with heat. After that we'll move on to moving the leg a little bit and gently. We'll work on using crutches and end with ice."

"Sounds like a plan," Trudy said.

Leland woke up to Caroline screaming. He went into the nursery. She had thrown up.

"It's okay honey," he said, picking her up.

He decided to give her a bath. First, he checked to make sure she didn't have a fever. Then he gave her a warm soothing bath. He changed her and put her back to bed. She was asleep in seconds.

"Dad?"

Leland looked behind him to find Jennifer.

"Honey," Leland asked, "What are you doing up?"

"I got a phone call from the guy that took me," Jennifer said.

She was shaking and close to tears.

Leland felt his heart skip a beat. He felt terrified and furious with Paul Zackary,

"What did he say," Leland asked, putting an arm around Jennifer's shoulder.

"He said that he could have done a lot worse than he did and I should be grateful to him."

Leland nodded and took a deep breath.

"How can I be grateful to him," she asked, "I went through so much."

Instead of answering her he pulled her into a long hug. They talked for a little bit and then Jennifer went back to sleep. Leland went out.

½ an hour later Leland knocked on the door to the Zackary house.

"It's 3 in the ******* morning," Paul muttered when he opened the door, "Why the **** are you here?"

"You're under arrest," Leland told Paul Zackary, "You went too far. You leave my family alone."

"Seems to me that's the mud calling the pig dirty," Paul smirked.

Leland cuffed him.

"You didn't leave my son alone and now he's dead," Paul argued.

"You called my daughter," Leland dragged him to the car and put him in the seat.

"Prove it," Paul smirked, "Don't you think I would have enough intelligence to block the number, or I don't know… call on a payphone?"

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you desire an attorney and cannot afford one, an attorney will be appointed for you at no cost. Do you understand those rights as they have been read to you?"

"Yes. I want my lawyer."

They got to the police station. Leland took Paul into an empty interrogation room. He allowed Paul to call his lawyer and the lawyer was down in 20 minutes.

Leland turned on the tape recorder.

"Please tell me your full name," Leland said.

"Paul Go to **** Zackary."

He finished asking the questions for the record.

"Did you call my daughter tonight," Leland demanded.

"He doesn't have to answer that," Paul's lawyer pointed out.

"No," Leland admitted, "He doesn't."

"If he did call your daughter," the lawyer added, "How did he get her phone number?"

"That's an excellent question," Leland said.

He looked at Paul.

"How did you get Jennifer's number?"

"I got it from a place called NONYA."

Leland looked confused.

"NONYA?" he asked, "What the hell is NONYA."

Paul smirked.

"NONYA business," he said.

Leland slapped the desk.

"DO YOU THINK YOU'RE FUNNY," he demanded.

"I think you are a killer," Paul said, "YOU are the reason my son is dead."

"I did my job," Leland retorted, "I saw to it that justice was served for an innocent child."

"And you killed my son in the process," Paul snapped, "You deserve all the pain and suffering in the world."

"Paul," his lawyer said in a warning voice.

"Oh," Paul said, "Right."

"Look," his lawyer said, "Paul belongs in a facility where he can get help. He doesn't belong in jail."

No. He belongs six feet under, Leland thought to himself.

"I'd be okay with him being in Halburrow," Leland said.

"I was thinking more of Saint Aspins," the lawyer said.

"Either Halburrow or take your chances in court," Leland said firmly.

"Saint Aspins is a minimum-security facility," the lawyer argued, "Halburrow is maximum security."

"This man has been harassing my family," Leland replied, "He's had been torturing my daughter for a long time. If he needs help that's fine… in Halburrow."

"Fine," Paul said, "I'll take your deal."

"You're doing a great job," Adrian told Trudy.

She was working on moving her leg slowly.

"It's really starting to hurt," Trudy remarked.

"Just 30 more seconds," Marsha encouraged, "Come on honey. You're almost done."

Trudy finished out the thirty seconds. She sighed as she propped her foot up.

"Trudy," Adrian told her, "I'm so proud of you."

Trudy smiled.

"Thank you, Adrian," she said.

"Do you need a pain pill," Dwight asked her.

Trudy thought for a minute then nodded.

"I'll get it for her," Marsha offered.

She left the room. She came back a few minutes later with the pain pill. She gave her a bag of pretzels and a glass of milk too.

"Here you go honey," Marsha said.

Trudy took a few pretzels. She then took the pill and drank the milk.

"Did you guys book your honeymoon yet," Marsha asked.

"We got the hotel for Hawaii," Adrian said, "and the flight, but not New York, London and France yet."

"We can book it for you," Marsha offered.

"Thanks mom," Trudy smiled.

The job took 30 minutes.

"All done," Marsha smiled.

Trudy hugged her parents.

"We should have another party," Marsha said.

"I agree," Dwight nodded.

"Me too," Trudy said reluctantly, "But maybe without the trampoline. I didn't realize it was dangerous."

"Maybe we should have the party at Ghirardelli Square," Adrian suggested.

"The hotel you mean?" Trudy asked.

"Yes. Maybe in the ballroom."

"That's a great idea," Dwight and Marsha said at the same time.

"The ballroom is beautiful," Trudy agreed.
