Journey

[Cairo : 28/07/1982]

POV : Third

The city was busy , people came and went , Cairo despite having many problems was still a lively city , and its people lived there despite the hardships , walking among the crowd was young T'Challa , he was eating an apple as he watched , he was already going to his next city but stopped thinking about what to do.

'Maybe I should go to the Zambezi next, it'll be interesting to find other fictional countries original to this world, in any case I'll just enjoy the streets of Cairo.' While he was distracted, a figure with white hair bumped into him, only thanks to his reflexes did he manage not to fall.

'Why am I not surprised.' He thought as he noticed the emptiness in his pocket, where his wallet should have been.

He sighed and soon began to chase the little thief, using his skills he jumped over the stalls of the small market, he was getting close to the center of the square when he saw who had robbed him and then he jumped over the figure.

A girl his age, wearing second-hand clothes, with long white hair and strong blue eyes, T'Challa was first surprised to recognize the person and didn't understand how it was possible, and secondly he was surprised by the thief's beauty.

In his surprise he let her hit him between the legs, he had to let go of her because the pain was more than expected, the thief took advantage of this and ran away, she just didn't know she had a tracker placed on her.

'OK!! , why is Storm in the DC universe?!' He thought as he held up the family jewels.

POV : T'Challa

I waited until nightfall to go to where Ororo was, I was still confused that she was here, are other characters in this universe? , or just those who are from Wakanda's core? , if so maybe other individuals are out there.

Anyway, Ororo lived in a real shack, the saddest thing was that there were other smaller children living with her, only with that I had already forgiven her stealing my wallet, but the kick in the balls had not yet been forgiven.

I decided to simply enter in a dramatic way, crossing the ceiling, everyone screamed while Ororo took a knife and ran towards me, I grabbed her wrist and stopped her advance.

"Stop before you hurt someone, I didn't come to harm you, but she would like my money back." I say as calmly as I can.

"I don't have your money anymore you bastard!!, let me go!!" She struggled but couldn't break free.

"If you swear not to hit my balls again, then we have a deal." I say amused and she stops, seeming to think about it and then she accepts.

"Great, now that we're in the same boat, what do you mean you don't have my money anymore?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

"Everything I steal goes to a crime boss around here, he provides the minimum for me to be able to take care of the small children here." She said as she pointed to the little ones who were watching.

"Very well, then tell me where this boss is? , maybe I can convince him in a diplomatic way." I say with a smirk.

"I don't know, you could end up dead." Ororo said looking at me strangely.

"Well, you didn't seem worried about it as you ran with a knife at me, what changed?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"I'm pragmatic, you probably have more money and maybe you can help in other ways?" Smart girl, probably sensed my other spare wallet.

"It depends, are you willing to accept a service?" I asked smiling.

"It depends, how much are you going to pay me?" She asked in kind, and we both smiled knowing who our target would be.

On the outskirts of the city there was a huge building where one of the crime bosses of the region was, his name was Jafari a fat man with clothes that he did not hide, he used this building as a gambling house to launder money stolen by his agents, but now it was all a mess.

All because of a brat with super strength and his most impressive thief, Ororo, who using his knowledge of the area took T'Challa who proved stronger and faster than any normal boy, he broke through the guards and went to Jafari.

The obese man looked at the two teenagers in fear, he had no qualms and obviously begged for mercy, T'Challa wasn't like other heroes around the world, there was no way he could just spare Jafari. He then just broke Jafari's chest with his foot.

Ororo didn't like this, this man had been exploiting her and the other children for a long time, she looked at T'Challa and felt very grateful for him.

"And now, do you have anywhere to go?" T'Challa asked curiously.

"Unfortunately, the boys and I will have to leave, no doubt the other criminal leaders won't like what happened here, they'll probably try to eliminate us." Ororo said seriously as he thought of ways to escape.

T'Challa thought deeply, he wasn't a saint he knew that, but he felt a certain attraction to the young thief, and she proved worthy of his attention by defending children who didn't even share his blood, so he decided to be a little lenient.

"You could come with me, I've traveled a lot and I think my country can help you if you want." T'Challa offered, surprising Ororo.

"Why are you suddenly playing the good Samaritan?" Ororo asked strangely, nobody was that kind.

"Think of it as a courtesy, I think you and your friends have been through enough." T'Challa simply said, Ororo considered for a while, until she accepted.

T'Challa smiled, he had been traveling for a whole year, he was happy to be back home but didn't expect him to take a girl and a bunch of kids home, he chuckled at the thought of how out of character that thought seemed context.

It wasn't meant to be a long trip, but there will be flashbacks to it in the future, for now this chapter served to introduce one of the best romances in comics, Black Panther and Storm.
