The next day Marsha came over early.

"Trudy and I are going to go shopping for swimsuits today," she told Adrian.

"Sounds great," Adrian replied.

He paused for a second.

"Can I tag along," he asked.

Trudy laughed.

"We're just going to be out for a couple of hours," she said, "You can join us for lunch."

"Great," Adrian said smiling.

"We'll be meeting at Starlight at 12," Marsha said.

"I'll treat," Trudy offered.

"You will do no such thing," Marsha laughed, "I'm your mother. Treating is my pleasure."

Trudy kissed Adrian goodbye.

"See you later," Adrian said to Trudy, "I love you."

Trudy grinned.

"I love you too," she said.

"I love this swimsuit," Trudy said, spotting a green two-piece.

"Try it on," Marsha told her.

Trudy tried it on.

"What do you think," she asked her mother.

"I think it looks great on you," Marsha said.

She put it in the cart.

"You know what," Trudy said as she spotted another swimsuit, "This one, looks great too. I'm not sure which one to get."

"Get both," Marsha replied, "Here let's try this one on though."

Trudy tried the other swimsuit on. It looked perfect on her.

"Adrian will love it," she said, "I look like a real winner."

"Trudy," Marsha said gently, "You are a real winner. What do you think of the swimsuit?"

"I love it," Trudy said, smiling gratefully.

She looked at her watch.

"We have to get to Starlight," she said, "Adrian will be meeting us there in ½ an hour."

"We have a few more minutes," Marsha said, "Let's look around."

Trudy's eyes fell on a gold dress.

"What do you think of this," Trudy asked her mom, indicating to the dress.

"I think you love it," Marsha said, "I think I'm going to get it for you."

"Mom," Trudy said, "This dress is over $500.00."

"You're worth every penny," Marsha said seriously.

"Can I at least try it on," Trudy asked as she laughed.

"Go ahead," Marsha replied.

It fit her perfectly and looked perfect on her.

The dress and the two swimsuits were $545.00

"I know," Trudy said, "I'll wear this dress to Starlight. That'll be perfect."

She went into the restroom to change.

Adrian got to Starlight as soon as Trudy and Marsha did. His eyes got wide. Trudy looked like an absolute angelic creature in that dress.

"You look gorgeous," he said, kissing her.

"I look like a winner," Trudy said with a grin, "And wait until you see the swimsuits I got."

"You are a winner," Adrian told her firmly, "You've always been a winner."

"Thank you for saying that" Trudy said.

"I just speak the truth," Adrian returned.

"Table for three?" the host asked.

"Table for four," Marsha corrected, "My husband will be joining us soon."

Trudy's eyes lit up.

"Dad's coming," she asked.

"He is," Marsha replied smiling, "We rented a car."

"Thanks for letting us borrow your spare car," Trudy said, "We'll give it back as soon as our old one is fixed."

"You'll do no such thing," Marsha said, "You'll keep the spare car. It's good to have an extra car."

"I know but don't you need a car?"

"We'll buy one," Marsha replied.

"Can we at least chip in," Adrian asked.

"We can afford it easily," Marsha commented.

Dwight came a few minutes later.

"Hi guys," he said, "Honey, you look beautiful. I love the dress."

"Thanks dad," Trudy said.

"I also got her two swimsuits too," Marsha told him.

"Great," Dwight said, smiling.

The host led them to the table. Trudy saw Ilizabeth and Shane at the next table.

"Hey you two," Trudy said.

Ilizabeth struggled to get up and waddled over to give Trudy a hug.

"You must be due soon," Trudy said.

"Three more months," Ilizabeth said smiling, "Pregnancy is not fun but it'll be so worth it when T R is born."

"T R?"

"We decided to name her Trudy Robin," Ilizabeth reminded Trudy, "T R is just easier to say."

"Is Trudy the first name and Robin the middle name," Adrian asked.

"Of course," Ilizabeth said.

"Perfect," Adrian replied, "It's ten letters."
