Hope was a very sweet baby. She fell comfortably into a routine right away. A few days after Trudy and Adrian brought her home Dwight and Marsha came over.

"Honey I was thinking," Marsha began.

"We were thinking," Dwight interjected.

Marsha laughed.

"Yes. Your father and I were talking about the wedding and the honeymoon. You'll be spending a week in each place, so you'll be gone for a month. Why don't we come along and take care of Hope? That way you'll be able to enjoy your honeymoon and still see Hope every day."

"Oh my GOD," Trudy exclaimed, "That is beyond generous of you. Thank you"

"We really appreciate that," Adrian added.

"It's our pleasure," Dwight said smiling, "We get to see you two and our granddaughter."

Hope woke up and started to cry.

"I'll go get her," Dwight offered.

"Thanks dad," Trudy said.

Dwight went into the nursery. He saw Hope needed a new diaper. He quickly changed her and brought her out to the living room.

"Hi sweetie," Trudy exclaimed, taking the baby in her arms.

Hope looked up at her and gave her a toothless grin.

"Watch this," Adrian said, "She loves this."

He put his hands up to his eyes then took them away quickly.

"Where is Hope? Where could she be? She's not in the lightbulb or the ceiling you see. She's not in the floor, or the playpen too. I see Hope. Hope is you."

Hope giggled her head off.

"Oh, Trudy used to love that too," Marsha said.

"Trudy loved everything," Dwight said laughing.

Trudy laughed.

"I doubt I loved vaccines," she said.

"We paid for the painless ones," Marsha replied, "You didn't feel a thing."

"Oh, we are absolutely doing that for Hope," Adrian said.

Hope started crying. She was hungry. Trudy gave her to Adrian and went to make the bottle. She came back a few minutes later.

"Can I feed her," Marsha asked.

"Of course," Trudy said, handing her over to Marsha after gently taking her from Adrian. Hope fell asleep after the bottle.

"She sleeps well," Dwight said.

"Not all the time," Adrian laughed, "Last night she was up screaming at 3 o'clock in the morning."

"Well, she is a baby," Marsha replied, "Babies do that, you know."

"Did I do that," Trudy asked.

"You were an unusual baby," Dwight said, "We'd know you were up because you would be laughing and blowing kisses."

"You rolled over at three days old too," Marsha added.

"Sure," Trudy laughed, "I guess I talked at 4 weeks also"

Everyone laughed.

"Honey," Adrian said, "It's a beautiful day. Why don't we go down to the beach?"

"Do you think Hope is old enough to go outside," Trudy asked.

"Of course, she is," Marsha said, "Your dad and I started taking you out when you were her age. Kevin recommended we do that."

Kevin was a good friend of the Ellison family.

"Yes, well we didn't do everything he suggested," Dwight said, "But some of his ideas were wonderful."

"It's like what they say in those "anonymous" programs," Trudy said, "Take what you want and leave the rest."

"How do you know about the anonymous groups," Adrian asked her.

"Don't you remember the case you had that made us have to pose as members of that group"

"Oh right," Adrian said, "I forgot about that."

Trudy laughed.

"I'm the one with the memory loss," she said.

Adrian laughed and kissed her.

"I didn't forget how much I love you," he said.

"I never forgot that too," Trudy replied seriously, "I didn't remember who you were, but I knew there was someone out there who loved me and who I loved."

"There are many people who love you," Marsha told her.

"I know mom," Trudy said.

Hope woke up. She didn't cry, just reached for Marsha's finger and wrapped it around her hand.
