Hope got an Aqua Magic Doodle Matt.
"Wow," she said, "Thank you Angela."
Angela smiled.
"My girls love theirs," she said, "So I figured it would be the perfect gift."
Ilizabeth got Hope a tricycle. Hope squealed with excitement. She hugged Ilizabeth and thanked her. Jenny, Oliver and Olivia had picked out a storybook for Hope. Jennifer got her a Vtech Touch and Learn activity desk. Jared and Max got her a Vtech kidibeat drum set. Leland, knowing how loud the drums can be, looked at Adrian and Trudy apologetically. Caroline had picked out a toyvelt kids camping tent and set toys. Trudy and Adrian got her a Little Tikes Fairy Cozy Coupe. Finally, she got some baby dolls.
The party was so much fun. Afterwards, they went to Dwight and Marsha's house.
"Hey birthday girl," Marsha said, picking her grand-daughter up and spinning her around.
"Hi grandma," Hope said, "Hi grandpa. The party was fun. I got a lot of presents too."
"We got you something too," Marsha said.
Dwight brought in a large squirming box.
Oh GOD, Trudy thought to herself, What is in that box?
Hope ripped off the paper and Marsha opened the box. It was a toy poodle. Hope let out a squeal of joy.
"What are you going to name her," Dwight asked Hope.
Hope thought for a moment then decided on Miracle.
"That's a beautiful name," Marsha said.
"Have you guys thought about names for the baby," Dwight asked.
"Bryan Matthew for a boy," Trudy said, "Hope's idea. Faith Mollie for a girl. That was Adrian's idea."
"But we're spelling Mollie with an i-e instead of a y," Adrian said, "That way it will be an even number of letters and unique."
"I love those names," Marsha said, "They are so beautiful."
"How old is Miracle," Adrian asked, changing the subject.
"Eight weeks," Marsha said, "She's just been weaned from her mother."
"We also got tickets to Moral Bears the musical. Premiere seats… for us, you two, Hope and 3 of her friends."
"Thank you," Trudy said hugging her parents, "That's so generous of you."
"You had to pay for that?" Adrian asked.
"Oh yeah," Dwight said, "I know I produced the original Moral Bears and Trudy starred in it but Moral Bears has been taken to a whole new level now."
"How much were the tickets," Trudy asked.
"Just over $100.00," Dwight replied, "It was worth it."
Marsha, feeling a wave of nausea, ran into the bathroom.
"Is grandma okay," Hope asked.
"She'll be fine," Dwight replied smiling.
Marsha came out a few minutes later.
"When is the play," Adrian asked.
"It's in two weeks," Marsha said, "Friday at 8:30 PM."
"I'm going to invite Caroline, Ella and Ava," Hope announced, referring to her three closest friends. Ella and Ava were from the orphanage but they went to Hope's daycare. They were both 3 months older than she was.
"Sounds like a great idea," Trudy said, "We'll talk to Mrs. Day and Ella and Ava can sleep over that night."
Mrs. Day was the head of the orphanage and a great friend of Trudy's. Hope clapped her hands excitedly.
