Wendy snapped awake.
It was pitch dark.
She groaned.
Wendy sat up and got out of bed.
Opening her door, she made her way across the hall to the restroom.
After doing her business, she checked her eye. It seemed to be doing ok.
She growled and headed back towards her room.
Shutting, the door, she flicked the light on.
And instantly saw the tuna sandwich and bag of chips on her dresser.
She devoured both within minutes.
Then she heard the chiming of the hall clock.
She counted the chimes.
There were 12 of them. Midnight.
Any itchy sensation spread across Wendy's body.
Thick red fur began poking out of her skin.
Spreading across her arms, legs, chest and back.
She moaned and dropped to all fours.
Her mouth and nose elongated into a snout.
Thick drool rolled down her lips and sharp, yellow teeth, at least two inches long, poked from her lips.
She snarled and made her way to the window.
She leapt out, onto the tree right outside.
Leaping down, she landed in the soft, dewy grass.
It was a little chilly tonight.
A full moon showed high in the sky.
She shook herself and began to amble along. She headed towards the fence and jumped up.
She sniffed the air.
And caught a scent.
She grinned. A nasty grin.
"I think ill have a little fun tonight.
She headed across the yard and heard a dog bark.
Looking to her left, she saw the same Rottweiler from before.
The dog yanked at its chain as it struggled to get to Wendy.
Wendy arched her back and hissed.
She ran to the dog and pounced on it.
Shocked the dog twisted as it tried to throw her off.
Wendy opened her mouth wide and sank her two inch fangs deep into the back of the dog,s neck.
The dog let out a series of shrill wounded cries.
Lights flashed on in the house and Wendy shot across the grass.
Wendy leapt over the fence and came to a stop in front of a another house.
She stared and started towards it.
She'd been at the house before.
Also she knew who lived there.
Wendy purred as she came to a first floor open window. And leapt into Nancy's living room.
