The kids instantly quieted down.

Mrs. Anderson took a deep breath and began to speak.

"I am afraid that Nancy will not be attending school for awhile." she said.

"Why?" Brianna asked. "What happened to Nancy?"

"If you'll let me talk, ill tell you." Mrs Anderson said sternly.

The teacher sighed and continued the announcement.

"Nancy was attacked in her home early this morning by a wild animal that somehow managed to gain entrance. Last I heard she was in the hospital." Mrs. Anderson told them.

Gasps rose around the room.

Wendy grinned, enjoying the attention.

"What kind of animal was it?" Tina asked.

"Nancy managed to record a video of the animal before it attacked her." Mrs. Anderson said. "The video was showed to police as well as me."

Mrs. Anderson sighed before continuing her announcement. "Police believe the animal is feline."

Zack abruptly stood up.

"Did it have red fur and a scar on its eye?" he asked.

Mrs. Anderson slowly nodded.

"Yes Zack. How did you know that?" she asked.

"My father saw it." he said.

"It killed Zack's rottweiler." Wendy said.

The teacher gave Zack a sympathetic look.

"I'm sorry to hear that Zack." Mrs. Anderson said.

The rest of the class voiced their sympathies, Wendy among them.

Wendy never meant to kill Zack's dog.

That hadn't been her intention.

Mrs. Anderson's voice droned on in the background.

Wendy was lost in her thoughts. She gazed at Zack.

I do feel kinda bad for Zack. But his father is another story. She could feel the gunshot wound throbbing a bit.

I got Nancy back. I might visit her later on though to see my good work. Or the work I did before I was interrupted by her no good father.

Wendy grinned, as she heard the screams of pain in her head.

That was actually kind of fun. But ill have to lay low for a little while. She's also got to find a way to keep her secret. Wendy remembered the first time she transformed.

When she took the were cat charm. The green charm with a black cat in the middle.

She remembered being scared of the transformation at first. But then she returned it.

Wendy grinned. "I've got to get my charm back from Mrs. Bast." Wendy told herself.

Just then she felt a hand on her shoulder.

Turning her head, she saw Tina staring at her. In fact the whole class was staring at her.

"Wendy?" Mrs. Anderson asked.

Wendy turned to her. Mrs. Anderson stared at her.

"Did I say those things out loud?" she thought.
