Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Swordsmen and Thief. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I do not own any rights to Fairy Tale, Hiro Mashima, Kodansha and a few others that I may write about.
Erza knew Clell was starting to wake up. His body curled inwards, ready to let out a yawn. He blinked and looked at Erza with confusion.
"Erza?" Clell questioned as Erza nodded. "What are you doing? Is our shift already here?" Clell questioned and got a nod from Erza.
"Yes, but I wanted to question you on something before then." Erza stated which caused Clell to hum and nod.
"Ok, shoot." Clell said and sat up. Clell rubbed at his eyes while he yawned.
"You seemed very knowledgeable about the thieves." Erza stated as Clell rubbed at his chin. "Why do you know so much about their tactics? It's as if you've used them yourself against enemies." Erza put in before Clell rubbed at his eyes.

"I don't rob convoys, Erza." Clell said while making sure his weapons were within range. "The bandits used them against the wagon we used once. I wanted to see how the trap worked that way I knew what to look for. You defeat your enemy and learn their tactics? They become easier to defeat." Clell said while Erza nodded.
"Then these bandits are part of the same group from before." Erza put in which caused Clell to raise an eyebrow at her. "I suspected the thug in question are the same. They seemed to be following us if they were able to set up another ambush." Erza added as Clell hummed.
"Bandits aren't one to give up, Erza." Clell stated as he looked to the side. "Their greedy, bloodthirsty, and they don't give up till they get loot or they die." Clell put in and yawned once more while fully sitting up.
"So, you know they will return?" Erza questioned as Clell nodded. "Then we should move the convoy soon." Erza added while Clell shook his head.
"No, if they set up one trap?" Clell asked Erza before gesturing to the woods behind them. "Then they set up more traps. The bandits are common around here. They probably know what path we're going to pick and how best to counter it." Clell stated and got a frown from Erza.
"I'm going to take this shift with Grey and Lucy." Clell said before getting up and stretching. Clell put his weapon belt around his hips. "Get some sleep, Erza." Clell put in and let out a yawn once more.
Erza watched as Clell walked towards the campfire. He patted both of his daggers. Clell looked around and raised an eyebrow while smiling.

"I suppose you expect them to fight bandits all the way here?" Fahim questioned Aalamgeer who continued to lounge on his throne. "They are more then a match for meager thugs. You are very aware of this 'your highness'." Fahim stated which caused Aalamgeer to frown and scowl.
"They need only draw the group into the ambush we prepared." Aalamgeer said before looking at Fahim. "Are you suggesting you no longer wish to study them? I thought you wished to find out more on their abilities? That hardly seems like something you'd do, doctor." Aalamgeer stated with a swirl of his drink.
"I wish to study them INTACT, your highness." Fahim responded with a grown in his tone. "It will be less easy to accomplish if you slice them into stew meat." Fahim added which caused Aalamgeer to nod.
"Yes, I wish to have Clell intact as well." Aalamgeer said while resting his head in his palm. "See to it personally that they are captured without being hurt too badly?" Aalamgeer questioned Fahim who nodded.
"And what of the rest of their guild?" Fahim asked Aalamgeer who said nothing for a moment. "Surely you know how dangerous they are." Fahim put in while Aalamgeer frowned at this.
"You can kill them or dissect them." Aalamgeer said with a swish of his hand. "Their petty lives are merely an obstacle to my plans." Aalamgeer said while Fahim rolled his eyes.
"I'll see to it myself, your majesty." Fahim said before starting to walk away. "But you should be aware that Clell and that entire group are trouble. Titania and her group managed to take down an entire empire. They will not be easily cowed into submission. I don't expect them to be subdued by mere soldiers if at all." Fahim stated which caused Aalamgeer to let out a sigh.
He knew very well what Clell and the others were capable of. They were a thorn in his side he wished to have removed. If they weren't pruned from the field sooner or later? Fairy Tale would undermine all that he worked for.
"Clell will fall just as everyone else opposing me has fallen." Aalamgeer hissed before relaxing on his throne. He finished his drink and tossed the glass to the side.
Aalamgeer could almost hear the shattering of bones as the glass shattered.
