Chapter 45: Second day at the beach?
~Living room~
Aichi who lost his consciousness is being fanned by Hasebe as Yagen finished checking him up.
On the other hand Miwa, Izaki, and Morikawa just finished facing the wrath of the girls as they are now sitting in a Seiza position in a corner "I can't believe you three would do such a thing." Mina started still scolding the three. "Especially you Miwa!" She was greatly unpleased at what happened.
"I won't punish you too much now, but rest assured when we come back to the citadel…" Mina did no need to continue as Miwa gets clearly gets the message.
Miwa deeply apologizes as did Morikawa and Izaki. Right about now their faces are filled with slap marks and bruises, Morikawa has a bump on his head and they have messy hairs. Implying that they got a really rough beating from the girls.
Mina sighs as she walks towards an Aichi who is unconscious at the sofa as Misaki and Yuri continues to punish and scold the three.
"So, how is he?" Mina asked Yagen.
"The impact was that great for him to lose consciousness." Yagen said to Mina thinking if it was one of the bucket she threw.
Some toudans were sitting far away as it is already crowded with the Tantous. Kenji, Gai, Kai, and Shin sit at the living room with all the chaos happening, even if it's just the first day they felt so tired already. Kamui is with Emi has they check up on Aichi. While Konnosuke and the tiger cubs were cuddled at a chair soundly sleeping.
"And Aichi-san just recently got a flu too." Sayo said sadly remembers.
"He had a flu?" Kenji was surprised at the news.
"Yeah a day before this trip." Hasebe answered.
"Will he be alright?" Gai asked.
"Yeah, like isn't he pushing himself?" Kenji added.
"He'll be fine." Mikazuki assures as he walked towards where Aichi is sleeping.
"Are you feeling better?" Mikazuki asked as Aichi slowly opens his eyes.
"My head, hurts… a little." Aichi said as he slowly tries to sit up while being helped by Mikazuki.
Everyone was surprised if Mikazuki just had a great timing or something else, looking at the timing it was too surreal.
"I think you should drink this before you sleep." Yagen handed out an orange vial.
Aichi thanks as he took the vial from Yagen and drinks it.
"Do you want to sleep?" Mikazuki asked nodding to his response Aichi was surprised as Mikazuki took him in his arms.
Mina face palmed muttering the words "This isn't the citadel." though the toudans was used to it of course it wasn't the same with Gai, Kenji, Shin, and Emi. Thankfully as Misaki and Yuri are still busy with the three they didn't notice it.
Waking up from the commotion Konnosuke noticed that Aichi is already leaving with Mikazuki as he hurriedly jumps to his shoulder.
Aichi although used to it didn't feel comfortable that some other people can see it, as he hid his face and leans onto Mikazuki's chest smiling care freely as if doing it on purpose as he walks upstairs and went to the room where Aichi will be staying.
Finally feeling the sleepiness "Yagen-nii, we are also sleepy" Midare tugs Yagen's sleeves while he gathered all the Tantous and called the tiger cubs.
"We will be heading off to sleep then." Yagen excuses themselves as they also went upstairs to sleep.
"Mina-nee" Shokudaikiri smiled at Mina implying something.
Mina sighs "Alright you can do your thing." Mina said as she also excuses herself and called Emi to sleep.
"Alright, let's go to sleep then." Kenji invited Gai.
"Okay, Nee-san we will be heading off to sleep too." Gai called Yuri's attention.
Yuri talked it out to Misaki to continue off tomorrow as Morikawa, Izaki, and Miwa sighs in relief as they too decided to head off to bed.
Kai stood up as Shin called out Kamui so that they could also sleep.
The only ones remaining in the living room are the Wakizashis, Uchigatanas, Tachis, and the Ootachi. Looking to each other they silently cheered as they pulled out the Sake bottles.
~Midnight~
Somehow Mina can hear ruckus from downstairs as she can also hear swords clashing not just her though slowly Yuri and Misaki also stood up from their bed as they can also hear it.
"Ora ora ora!" "Pressure Slash" A voice shouted that seems to be coming from downstairs.
The three girls look at each other nodding off seeing a soundly sleeping Emi they hurried outside of the room, noticing that Gai, Kenji, Miwa, Kai, Shin, Aichi, and Yagen, also busted out of their room.
"Aim… Fire!" "Lose your head and die!" Hearing sword clashes the ten of them hurried downstairs.
As they went down only to see a knocked out Yamanbagiri, a sleeping Taroutachi, three drunk Tachi minding their own, a Nikkari who is silently drinking sake, and Horikawa trying to calm down four Uchigatanas who continuous to rampage.
"There is no use I should be Aichi-sama's rightful attendant!" Hasebe shouted while his and Kiyomitsu's sword met.
"Unfortunately I am more loved by Aichi-sama!" Kiyomitsu said as he flicked to the right, their swords parts to each other as they jumped back and assume position.
"If it's strength I can beat you all!" Mutsunokami runs towards Hasebe swinging his sword.
Hasebe successfully dodges but Yasusada was there to the place where he is jumping to "I got you!" Yasusada said as their swords met.
"W-where did those swords come from!" Gai exclaimed he was talking about the swords, real swords.
"I thinks they have drunk more than they can take." Yagen sighs as he fixes his glasses seeing this mess.
Surprised at what is happening when Mina was about to do something Aichi runs towards the four fighting swords "Aichi-kun!" Mina, Kenji, and Shin called out.
Mikazuki who noticed Aichi and felt his rash action, sobered up he ran towards where Aichi is going. Yagen too ran to catch up to Aichi.
When the four was about to clash Aichi was in perfect timing and is at the middle of the four "Aichi-sama!" Horikawa, Kiyomitsu and Hasebe regained sanity from drunkenness unfortunately they weren't able to stop.
Calling out their sword Mikazuki, Horikawa and Yagen swiftly deflected the four as they successfully saves Aichi.
Pulling Aichi towards him Mikazuki raises his swords when the four who almost attacked Aichi fall backwards "Aichi-sama… once again a very hasty action." Mikazuki is once again displeased so did Yagen with his action while Horikawa is surprised.
Nikkari, Shokudaikiri, and Tsurumaru also sobered up as Yamanbagiri and Taroutachi slowly wakes up at.
While Mina, Misaki, Miwa, and Kai were very worried was able to breathe as it all felt like it happen in just a split second. On the other hand Gai, Kenji, Yuri and Shin were out of words at the scene on front of them.
"Aichi-sama, what do you plan on doing!" Yagen scolded him.
"I just trusted everyone that is all." Aichi said making everyone confused.
"Since I don't know what I can do with this crowd, I just trusted that everyone who is sober that they will do something if I get in between…" Yagen sighs heavily "I- I'm sorry…" though he was also scared at what could happen he placed a hand on Mikazuki's hand that is placed on his shoulder.
"Oi, what happened, why are your swords out?" Tsurumaru was confused of what is happening.
"Aichi-sama I deeply apologize for almost cutting you!" Hasebe kneeled down in front of Aichi.
"Aichi-sama I'm sorry!" Kiyomitsu and Yasusada ran towards them.
While Mutsunokami apparently lost consciousness when he fell down on impact.
"What do you mean by cutting Aichi-sama?" Shokudaikiri stood up to check Aichi.
Mina slowly walks towards them with a hand on her temple "Put away your swords now!" Konnosuke who was with Aichi when he went out jumped on to Mina's shoulder.
Surprising more of the four who were unrelated with them, mainly Gai, Kenji, Yuri, and Shin, when their swords disappeared like dust of light.
"I don't mind if this happen in the citadel, but to happen on a trip with other people." Mina sighs heavily "Because we are on a trip you will be punished greatly after this, and this means everyone here."
The other toudans were still confused at what happened while Horikawa and Nikkari didn't speak since they were somewhat in the wrong too. For Yamanbagiri and Taroutachi they have no clue of what happened but it seems they understand that something happened to Aichi.
Mina looked at Aichi "Aichi-kun, please think of a more reasonable method, you are their master, you should know better than to act rashly, think of this as the battlefield." Mina puts away her hands that she placed on her temple "I am greatly disappointed, and this is just the start of the second day."
"But, I do have a back-up plan if ever it didn't work out." Aichi pulls out his talismans that is in his pocket.
"Oh, so you were thinking ahead, good job Aichi-kun" Mina is proud of Aichi, so he didn't think rashly in his actions.
"So you weren't just acting up without thinking first." Yagen was the one now who has his hands on his temple.
Finally the four stunned come to "W-what is happening here?!" Kenji asks scared and confused at what is happening.
"I am sorry but outsiders can't know more about this, what I can only tell you is that they are living histories in front of your eyes, swords in particular who gained soul that is lying dormant in the past, while some formed soul from stories of people and made a name in history..." Mina placed a finger on top of her lips.
"And Aichi is their master who called forth their souls and awakened them, and I act as Aichi-kun's teacher." Mina spoke in a serious tone as if telling a tale. Although the toudans want to oppose but since Aichi isn't saying anything they let Mina tell a small factor about them.
"And I act as their guide and helper." Konnosuke spoke that surprised the four which broke the serious atmosphere.
"He can talk!" Kenji shouted in surprise though it is as if Konnosuke did it on purpose confusing them more.
"Aoisuke just talk!" Gai said which broke the confused atmosphere.
"A- Aoisuke…?" the others repeated the odd nickname.
"Because of my color?" Konnosuke spoke again which made team Caesar fall back which gave sweat drops on the others.
Calling out their attention to not get lost on the topic "I actually thought of giving a hint or an idea but I didn't think it would have to end this way before I could say it." Mina sighs "Just that hint will suffice so that they won't be that too restrained." Mina is talking about the toudans.
"Frankly speaking we will allow you, only you to have an idea regarding us." Mina raised her hand as her talismans went above the four and as if marking them it glowed "This is a contract spell, if you so speak of this to other people, this binding spell will immediately delete all information in your memory regarding us."
"You are allowing us to know this?" Kenji asked.
Mina softened her expression "It wouldn't hurt having other allies besides Kai-kun, Miwa-kun, Misaki, and Kamui-kun." She smiled.
"Oh yeah, you did say that it was originally your plan." Kenji said remembering the reason of this joint trip.
"Then it would be an honor!" Kenji, Yuri, and Gai smiled to Mina.
"I guess I have to help keep this from Morikawa-kun and Izaki-kun then?" Shin said.
"Yes, it would be better if you knew to help Aichi-kun keep this secret." Mina said.
"Then about the guardian things?" Kenji pointed out to the Tachi.
"It's just a front, since well Aichi-kun is the one who owns them not me, so technically speaking Aichi-kun should be the one to be responsible for them, though as Aichi-kun's teacher I should be guiding him, especially a certain pipe fox." Mina glared at Konnosuke.
"Aichi-kun, for our next lesson, contract!" Mina waved her hand as the talisman disappeared and enveloped them with its light "Just speak out the terms and the talismans will do their job! I will tell you more about it when we get back."
"You didn't do that to us though." Miwa recalled.
"That's because you guys are a special case." Mina said.
"I'm getting sleepy…" Mikazuki said as he hugged Aichi from behind and fall back onto the soft cushions on the floor.
"Uwah!" Aichi screamed not know what just happened as he clings to Mikazuki, seeing that Mikazuki seems to have fallen asleep and can't get away from him.
The eight sweat drops at the scene while the toudans saw this they had different feelings regarding this "I think I'm stuck." Aichi said as he still tries to get off.
"Unfair as always Mikazuki I want to sleep with Aichi-sama too." Kiyomitsu tries to take away his hands as slowly he too drifted into sleep beside them and fell onto the ground as did Yasusada who was with him.
Hasebe following behind as he too fell on the floor somehow when the tension died down one by one the toudans fell asleep from drunkenness leaving Yagen stunned at the site in front of him.
The eight were utterly confused at what just happened as they moved forward to them "Oh my…" Mina puffed looking at the cute scene she hastily took out her phone and took a picture, which surprised Aichi.
"Oh… don't you want to join them?" Mina asked to Yagen "There is still space."
"It wouldn't be fair for the others." Yagen said as he bitterly smiled looking at them clearly he too wants to join since this will be their first time sleeping with Aichi even if they are not beside him at least they are together in a room.
"It could be arranged!" Mina said as she hurried upstairs.
"I think I have an idea of what she meant." Aichi nervously laughs as he stopped struggling from Mikazuki.
Then one by one the Tantous with smiling faces ran towards them as Midare held Yagen's hand and then dropping on top of other toudans as they groaned in pain but didn't wake up from it.
It made things more cuter for Mina as she took another photo with the Tantous now with them. Yagen who is embarrassed but is happy at the same time covers his face with his arms.
"Well they are light so it should be fine…" Aichi said "I guess I will be sleeping with them." Aichi chuckled.
Aichi is lying on top of Mikazuki, while Kiyomitsu with Yasusada and Hasebe beside Mutsunokami were at his left and right Yamanbagiri, Horikawa, and Nikkari were on their top side while Taroutachi, Tsurumaru and Shokudaikiri were below their feet. On the other hand the Tantous tried to squeeze themselves so that they could be near Aichi.
"So precious…" Mina muttered she is like a mother looking at this scene as Aichi too slowly drifted into sleep "Night…". Mina said.
"Alright, I guess we should be heading to sleep too." Mina said noticing that all the toudans are happily and soundly sleeping as they all took a glance at them and decided to go upstairs too.
~Saturday Morning~
"It stinks of alcohol." Kamui covers his nose from the foul smell of alcohol wafting around the whole room.
"Why are they all still sleeping and Aichi is in the middle of it." Morikawa said as he noticed the still sleeping toudans in the living room.
"They haven't woken up." Miwa said.
"Well we cannot start breakfast until they wake up." Shin said preparing their breakfast.
Mina stepped forward as she inhales a large amount of air "WAKE UP!" Mina shouted at the top of her lungs.
Trying to get her breathing normal she waits until the toudans wake up one by one unfortunately for Aichi "Is he having a bad dream?"
When Mikazuki opens his eyes, he heard Mina's question "I don't think he is having a bad dream, but it's a confusing one…" Mikazuki can't quite point out what exactly is Aichi dreaming. Slowly standing up as Aichi still continues to sleep.
Again Mikazuki knows exactly what is happening to Aichi, as their curiosity spark once again.
Unfortunately for the ones who were drinking last night they seem to have a hangover as they are either hissing or wincing in pain while touching their heads.
"Aichi-sama? Aichi-sama?" Mikazuki continues on to call out his name as he leans forward closely to Aichi's head until.
"Y-yes!" Aichi sprung up so fast that he accidentally knocked Mikazuki's chin and his head together.
Both now wincing in pain Aichi holds his head where the pain is, the same as Mikazuki on his chin. Earning sweat drops on the people who were watching the scene in front of them.
~While eating breakfast~
"My head still hurts…" Shokudaikiri said while eating.
"What happened last night…" Hasebe said clenching his head unable to eat.
"I can't remember a thing either…" Yasusada slumped down on the table.
"Hmmm… there won't be no point in punishment for them if they can't even remember it…" Mina thinks otherwise noticing that the drunkenness has taken away last nights fiasco.
"Do you need fast and effective medicine?" Yagen places a bag full of what they could only think as medicine.
Earning grimed expression from the eleven drunk toudans from last night "I know that it really is effective but…" Tsurumaru said.
"If it's effective why not drink it?" Kenji added.
"It's not that simple you know…" Kiyomitsu spoke "If you think it was that simple would we even think twice of drinking it."
"Clearly an outsider who pokes a-" –Kiyomitsu
"Kiyomitsu…" Aichi called out Kiyomitsu to stop as he pouted and looked away.
"S-sorry." Kenji apologized.
"You are the same as Gai who prods at others business." Yuri scolded.
"You see the reason why we thinks twice is that sometimes it has odd taste." Horikawa explained to Kenji but with a dark aura around him.
"Aichi-san is the only one he prioritizes if regarding to taste." Nikkari shrugs.
"Well, do you guys want it or not?" Yagen asked once again as the ones with hangover looks to one another they each took a vial from Yagen.
As they gulped all of what's inside the vial "Oh yeah I forgot to tell you guys that it's still at an experimental stage for hangover." Yagen forgot to say the most important part.
Hearing his late statement made them all froze from drinking it "Eh, it doesn't taste weird." Taroutachi said as he examines the bottle.
As they agreed to his words all of a sudden they all lost consciousness and slumped to the table.
Everyone were surprised earning screams from Yuri and Emi.
"Y-Yagen!?" Aichi said worried as he stand up to check if they were breathing.
"It seems I made a wrong calculation on the medicine." Yagen nonchalantly writes notes on a notebook.
A few minutes later they were still not moving, Aichi took notice of the bells as it shows no sign of any status on them "H-Horikawa? Nikkari?" he tries calling them out but no sign and then "Kiyomitsu! Yasusada?! Hasebe?! Yamanbagiri! Mutsunokami?!" still not responding even if he calls out to them "Taroutachi? Tsurumaru… Shokudaikiri…" and then lastly Aichi placed a hand on his chest "Mikazuki?.."
"Yagen-nii I think you have gone too far…" Midare said as Gokotai, Imanotsurugi and Hakata agreed looking at the eleven toudans as Aichi feels like he will cry at any moment notice.
And then simultaneously they all lifted up their heads as they shouted "AAAHHHHHHHH!" Everyone covers their ears.
When Aichi was about to fall Mikazuki catches him and grabs him, as he carries him and places him on top of his lap "You were fine last night right?" Mikazuki softly asked, Aichi nodded as answer to his question.
Then finally the four perpetrator last night all stood up and went to where Aichi is "Aichi-sama! We deeply apologize yesterday!" The four bowed as it confused Morikawa, Izaki, and Emi and also surprised, though surprised Kenji, Gai, Yuri, and Shin saw the same scene yesterday.
Then followed by Tsurumaru and Shokudaikiri "We apologize for not noticing Aichi-sama." Tsurumaru said as he too bowed.
"When I sobered up last night … I'm truly sorry Aichi-sama." Shokudaikiri followed.
"I was asleep and didn't know what happened after I woke up…" Yamanbagiri hides his face.
"So did I… waking up when everything was in chaos." Taroutachi looks away.
"We couldn't even stop them." Horikawa apologized too.
"As for me I just silently drank in a corner." Nikkari also felt guilty.
"You know, if you do this it really will be really hard to … you know…" Mina sighs "But thanks to this I can do a good deal of punishment to all eleven of you!" Mina had an ominous and dark aura.
"So I made it too effective even to the point that they could remember what happened." Yagen wrote to his notebook as the others sweat drop at his finding.
They flinch in terror as Mina's dark aura didn't fade "Although that is when we come back, for now all you have been waiting for" Mina loses the ominous aura and comes back to her normal and cheerful self.
"Are we going to the beach!?" Imanotsurugi asked as the Tantous with the exception of Sayo ran towards Mina.
"Yes!" Mina smiled as the Tantous cheered.
"Just be careful next time." Aichi smiled at the eleven toudans that were drunk last night as he left and made his way to where Sayo is.
Though Aichi let it slide they still felt the guilt last night as it of course caused trouble for Aichi, even to the point that Mina has to tell them a hint about them.
"Is something the matter?" Aichi asked Sayo.
Which he shook his head "No, I'm also excited Aichi-sama." Sayo smiles brightly.
Aichi pats his head as Midare shouted "We can finally wear the clothes Aichi-san made for us!" as the toudans regained their smile at the word beach and finally able to wear another treasure they got from their master.
"Alright after you finish breakfast head to change and then we will be going to the beach!" Mina said.
"Alright everyone finish up so we could go!" Shin added.
"Finally the beach!" Morikawa shouted as they all continued eating and then after headed towards their rooms and started changing.
Outro: Seiza is a proper and traditional was of sitting in Japanese.
