A Serving Of Ice Cream
As Trivia Vanille looks around the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Palace she smiles widely. There were so many people and games! What was even better was that she could buy tokens for the games with the Lien she had on her without having to speak with the employees. Not she would've been able to anyways. Finally however her gaze found the stage where a plastic brown animatronic bear stood next to a pink animatronic bunny and a blue animatronic bunny. Freddy, Bonnet, and Bonnie if she recalled from the posters. Neopolitan next to Triva grabbed the girls hand excitedly jumping up and down and pointed to the stage. Trivia agreed.
Freddy was singing into a microphone, Bonnie was playing the guitar, and Bonnet was playing the piano. Oddly enough their was also a ice cream cart on stage next to Bonnet. The two made their way over as the crowd was dispersing. The two frown at that. They had just missed the show. Trivia began to pout before looking to the sign next to the stage. The next show was in an hour. When she looked back to the animatronics their plastic eyes turned to look at Trivia.
"Well hello!" Freddy says in a deep robotic voice. "It seems you missed the show." Trivia simply nodded to Freddy's statement. "That's too bad."
"Well how about some ice cream for your troubles?" The pink bunny, Bonnet says happily. Trivia gives a questioning look as the pink bunny stands from her Piano and walks over to the ice cream cart. A moment later it steps away to walk over to Trivia holding a vanilla Ice Cream cone with a cherry on top. It bends over to offer the sweet treat and Trivia frowns. She looks around the room. No one was nearby. Nobody was watching. Perfect she thought. She didn't want someone asking if she paid for it. When she didn't even pay to enter like everyone else.
With a smile on her face Trivia grabs the ice cream cone giving it a lick before silently giggling. Next to her Neopolitan hugged her and Trivia looks to her friend only to frown. Neopolitan's face was pale with fear. She looked to Trivia with worry and Trivia couldn't understand why. She looked back to Bonnet only to take a step back. The animatronics eyes were blank white and it's mouth hinged open. Then Trivia heard a metallic click before something grabbed her and she made an attempt to scream with no success. Everything was dark and Trivia was filled with fear. Then with a jolt of pain in her neck there was no Trivia anymore.
In Atlas a man wearing a white lab coat over his brown skin. His brown hair was messy and his matching eyes were filled with kindness. He had a good sized beard. His name is Pietro Polendina. Across from him was a young girl around 6 years old with long blond hair wearing a red dress. The girl also had bright green eyes and a pink flower in her hair. Pietro held up a scroll looking over some data before nodding in approval.
"That should just about do it." He states handing the girl the Scroll. "Make sure your father gives it a look over though just in case. Four eyes are better then two you know." Pietro says chuckling.
The girl gives a giggle and nods. "I will. Thank's Doctor Polendina." The girl says.
"No problem at all!" Pietro claims. "Your father was a brilliant man while he worked here, and he helped me out a great deal. This little coding work was the least I could do." Pietro says. "Besides I'm sure if your father had more time on his hands he'd have been able to do this himself. Maybe even better than me?"
"Your too kind Doctor." The girl says. "We'll I'll be off!"she then begins rushing out the door leaving Pietro to call out to her.
"Take care Elizabeth!" Pietro shouts out. "And be careful getting home!"
She was already out the door though he heard her "I Will!" Before the door drifted closed again. Shaking his head with a smile Pietro walked over to his desk. He always was surprised by Elizabeth's seeming maturity for her age. Sometimes he forgot he was talking to a child entirely. Though what could he expect from a daughter of his friend Mr. Afton. Looking to his left he saw the table in the next room where a a face stares back at him with an emotionless gaze. It was the face of a girl with green eyes, freckles, and short chin length orange hair.
"Time to get back to work then." He says to himself.
Millie, Ruby, and Charlie sit in the living room of the Rose/Xiao Long household. Millie was writing in a diary while Ruby drew a picture on some homework. Charlie was sitting on the couch with a bored expression staring the holographic TV which was playing a rerun of Huntsman The Animated Series. They were all simply hanging out together after school as Millie's grandfather had work. After the incident Millie's grandfather didn't like leaving her by herself.
Curiously Charlie looks over to her sister and friend. Bored of the show she moves over to sit next to her sister Ruby to look at the drawing she was making. It was a drawing of a woman in a red cloak wielding a scythe of some kind. Charlie rolls her eyes with a smile. Ruby had been talking about becoming a Huntress one day.
"Huntress drawing?" Millie asks with a raised eyebrow. Ruby blushes a deep red at the comment and Charlie giggles.
"Dose she draw them often?" Charlie asks curiously.
Millie smirks. "All the time. The math teacher is getting annoyed by it." She says. Charlie thought she looked paler than usual.
Charlie laughs a little. "How?" Charlie asks. Millie simply gestures to the paper Ruby was drawing on. Looking over Charlie saw that Ruby had flipped the paper over, and realized that the page was the math homework they had brought home today. The problems were answered but the drawing on the back could be seen on the front due to the dark colors. "Oh I see why." Charlie giggles.
"Right?" Millie adds much to Ruby's growing embarrassment. Charlie see's her sister covering her face to hide her embarrassment and the older sister gives Ruby a side hug.
"Sorry Ruby." Charlie apologizes. "We're not trying to make you feel attacked."
Ruby lowers her hands revealing a pouting face. "I know." She says hugging Charlie back. "Please don't tell people at school." Charlie glances over to Millie who had a small smile and nodded.
"We won't." Charlie assures. The two break off the hug and turn to Millie. "So what exactly are you trying to write in there?" Charlie asks curiously. "I've seen you trying to write something, but you haven't yet."
Millie sighs. "Yeah. Sorry. I wrote a poem the other day and I don't understand it." Millie admits.
Charlie frowns. "But you wrote it." She states.
Ruby looks over to Charlie with curiosity. "Big sis? What's a poem?"
Charlie quickly looked back to Ruby having not expected the question. "Oh uh... you know those short stories that rhyme?"
Ruby nods "Like Bumpty Dumpty?
Charlie thinks back for a moment before nodding. "Yes exactly like Bumpty Dumpty. Also songs can be considered poems on occasion." Charlie explains. Ruby smiles. It seemed to Charlie that Ruby was taught about them in school but hadn't paid attention to during poetry lessons. That or she hadn't listened to the name of the lessons. She then turns back to Millie. "Anyways, can I read it? Maybe I can help."
Millie considers for a moment before nodding. Charlie gets up to sit next to her friend while Ruby goes back to her drawing. Once Charlie is next to Millie her friend shows the poem to her.
"Sadistic And Cruel The White Bear Counts
Listing the Ways of its Paramount,
Counting the Ways to flay its Prey
The white bear puts life in disarray as it
continues to say Count The Ways"
Charlie frowns. She didn't have the slightest clue as to what that meant. "Huh." She mutters.
"Weird right?" Millie asks.
Charlie nods in agreement. "It's no Edgar Allen Poe, but it seems like a pretty dark poem."
Millie looks to Charlie with interest. "You read Edgar Allen Poe?"
Charlie shakes her head. "No, I remember learning it from…" she cuts herself off. She knew she learned about the famous poet, but she couldn't remember where. Her thoughts where interrupted by the front door opening. Looking over she saw Qrow holding a plastic bag from a local store. "Hey Qrow." She says with a smile.
Qrow turns to look with a smirk. "Hey kids. What are you all up too?"
"I'm drawing! See!" Ruby jumps up holding up the paper and Qrow laughs.
"Isn't that your homework?" He asks amused.
Ruby flushes and sits back down. "Maybe." She says causing another laugh with Millie and Charlie joining.
After settling down Charlie speaks up. "Hey Qrow?"
"Yeah?" He responds with a raised eyebrow.
"Do you know where I learned about Edgar Allen Poe?" She asks.
"Who?" He asks.
Millie speaks up. "He's a famous poet." She explains.
Qrow frowns. "This may surprise you but I actually studied Poetry. A weird phase I went through back when I was at Beacon." He explains. His frown deepens. "I don't recall ever hearing about anyone called Edgar Allen."
Millie and Charlie look between each other with confusion before turning their confused gazes toward Qrow. "You really haven't heard of him?" Millie asks. "He's very famous."
Qrow frowns again setting the bag down before pulling out his scroll. After a few moments of searching the CCT network he looks to the girls with a raised eyebrow. "I don't see anything on the CCT. You sure you got the name right?"
Millie and Charlie look to one another in question. They both had the same thought. They knew they had heard about Edgar Allen Poe. That just begged the question. How did he not appear on the CCT.
Summer sits in a Bullhead across from Raven with a solemn look. "Are you ready?" She asks.
Raven nods with an icy expression. "I am."
