Intro: Back from binge watching the drama the untamed, untamed special ed, the living dead and fatal journey, tehn the donghua Mo Dao Zu Shi, and then the manhua that is still unfinished, and now continuing on to reading the novel, when I finished all of those I was like god I didn't think it would be this great.

Chapter 47: Farewell at the beach

~Back at their spot~

"Eh? Taroutachi?" Aichi said as he noticed the Tantous and Wakizashis were fixing the sand that is burying Taroutachi.

"Here Aichi-kun, eat up!" Shin said as he passes the food to him.

Aichi sat near the others were burying Taroutachi as the other toudans naturally gathered where he is, the others were surprised that wherever Aichi is they would simply follow.

"It was hard burying him cause of his height." Yagen said as he stands up and checks up Aichi.

"Do you guys want to try too?" Imanotsurugi asked the six who just came.

"What? Being buried or burying someone." Yasusada raised his brow.

"If burying someone then we have three nominees…" Kiyomitsu is still infuriated at the three girls from before as the other four sweat drop at his statement.

"It's getting itchy…" Taroutachi nonchalantly said as Aichi nervously smiled if he would still be okay.

A little while later "Hmmm…" Aichi is lost in his thought while eating.

"Is something the matter?" Hasebe asked.

"Hey… uhm…" Aichi started as the toudans silently waits and listen to him.

"Will it be alright, if I ask you guys to swim with me?" Aichi asked the toudans look at each other.

"If it's that simple request that is easy." Tsurumaru responded as he laughs.

"I thought you were injured or something." Kiyomitsu sighs.

"Don't suspense us." Hasebe said.

"I… I just want something that we can all do together." Aichi smiles at them.

"Then let's use our remaining time at the beach to take a swim!" Mutsunokami shouted.

Little did they know Mina is silently taking their picture while the guardians and their four new allies watches at the warm atmosphere they bring out, on the other hand Morikawa couldn't careless while Izaki and Emi watches the cheerful scene.

~Their last activity~

Kenji and Gai finally started swimming, while Morikawa, Izaki, and Kamui have their own fun, while Shin and Miwa tries to get Kai into the waters, while Emi, Mina, Yuri, and Misaki are together on the other hand Konnosuke and the tiger cubs are now silent and hidden as they sleep back at their spot.

Aichi knew that Yamanbagiri will think twice as he held out his hand to Yamanbagiri the toudans finally took off their jackets Aichi puts away Yamanbagiri cloak and used the hoody of the jacket instead "Don't worry I won't leave you." Aichi said as he pulls Yamanbagiri.

Holding Yamanbagiri as all the toudans smile they ran to the water.

"So cold!" Imanotsurugi said as he cringes from the coldness of touch from the water.

"It tastes salty." Sayo said as some water splashed to him.

The Tantous except Yagen did the same "It really is!" Gokotai said.

"Kiyomitsu!" Yasusada gave a warning as he splashed him with water.

Mutsunokami swims around the whole area "Mutsunokami, don't get too far away from us!" Aichi shouted noticing a lively Mutsunokami who thinks of wanting to test his skill to the fullest and swim far away.

Shokudaikiri who was a ball with him tosses it to Tsurumaru, when it is his turn he tosses it to Taroutachi continuing one by one as it will be landing to Yamanbagiri.

Aichi let's go of his hands as Yamanbagiri tossed it to Aichi and then to Yagen, as it continues round and round Aichi started splashing water to Yamanbagiri as he too did the same.

Gokotai and Sayo ran to Aichi as they play with him next though Mikazuki interrupted as he embraces Aichi from behind surprising him, and then Kiyomitsu and Hasebe started bickering again when they found out Mikazuki is latching onto him again.

Midare, Hakata and Imanotsurugi of course with Yagen notices that there are some discoveries here too as they hurriedly picked it up and looked for other more.

Aichi left the area as he moved towards where Yamanbagiri and the others were, smiling to himself as he noticed Yamanbagiri is having fun with the others as did the other toudans somehow he noticed that from time to time they were in deep thought.

Thinking of Horikawa's word he remembers that of course they are having fun and since they had human bodies they certainly are waiting for someone too, to share this experience with them, and too have this much fun as them.

"It will be fine." Mikazuki said as he surprised Aichi from his deep thought.

As Aichi hears this and as with what Horikawa says, they will continue to wait, after that he splashed Mikazuki with water.

As the ball went a long way to the others it came towards Misaki, and then to Kenji, as it was passed around and round Aichi returns to where Yamanbagiri is.

Yamanbagiri still has his normal nonchalant face but he is clearly enjoying, noticing Aichi's smile he finally noticed this especially when Aichi showed to him that he wasn't holding his hands anymore.

Surprised himself he simply smiles a little bit as a light flush on his face showed up as Aichi chuckled.

"Do you think there is a water spirits playing with us right this moment." Nikkari mentioned as it gave goose bumps to everyone, followed by his laugh making it more eerie.

"I really doubt that…" Shokudaikiri contradicts his idea.

"But sometimes they do appear in human form…" Nikkari added standing firm at his opinion.

"If it's appearing in human form then I will highly suggest it was those three girls from before" Yuri chuckles.

"You still haven't gotten over that…" Aichi sweat dropped.

"They can also appear in the form that you already know fufufufufu…." Nikkari laughs louder than before intensifying it.

And this was a good opportunity as most of them are now frightened, an opportunity for a certain Tachi.

Because of the atmosphere and everyone listening to what is Nikkari is saying, Tsurumaru swam below hiding his presence below the water as he lunged out of the water in front of Aichi and the Tantous "Wa!"

"WAAA!" everyone got surprised by Tsurumaru.

Yamanbagiri unconsciously moved in front of Aichi to protect him although he was also surprised because of Tsurumaru and wasn't even able to notice it beforehand.

"When you get this surprised, it sure makes my job feel worth it." Tsurumaru feels revitalized at everyone's surprised, well some are scared, expression.

As they continued on to their fun sadly it must end as it is time for them to go back.

~Back at the cottage~

Yagen who is treating Aichi hisses in pain from the sun burns he attained "Man you really do burn up easily." Morikawa said looking at Aichi.

"Yeah, although you did say beforehand that you burn up easily but I didn't think it was this fast." Izaki nervously smiled at Aichi somehow amused at what happened to him.

"Aichi-sama is really that delicate huh…" Taroutachi mentioned while helping with gathering their things.

"I am actually very surprised" Mina said feeling sorry for Aichi.

"It was a good thing that Aichi-sama mentioned beforehand about this to Yagen-nii" Hakata said.

"Hmm? You knew?" Mutsunokami heard.

"Yeah, I was at the room when he ask Yagen-nii for a favor to make something that can heal up sun burns." Hakata tries to recall.

"Ah that ointment Aichi-sama gave to Yagen-nii?" Gokotai joined in remembering something.

Misaki and the others were listening to their conversation as they too were surprised at Aichi's delicateness.

"Aichi can really beat a female when it comes to the traits that he has." Miwa chuckled.

"Like a Yamato Nadeshiko?" Kenji summed it all up making everyone sweat drop at the idea.

"Somehow even though it would hurt Aichi-kun I 100% agree on that part…" Mina blankly agrees so did the others even Kai.

"By the way why do you have a pressed powder with you?" Misaki asked remembering the powder Yuri blew to the three girls.

"Oh, that" Yuri chuckled "I knew we weren't going to have a swim at first so I have it in my pocket." She showed a peace sign which they understood the reason of why.

"Alright that is all." Yagen lightly taps his burned skin as Aichi winced in pain "Ah… S-sorry…"

"And that is why I don't want to stay there too much." Kiyomitsu laughs at Aichi as he blushes from embarrassment.

"Alright everyone, time to get things done, it's just little luggage than before because the food and drinks are gone." Mina claps her hand as she started instructing the toudans to continue prepare.

"Aichi-kun, you and the others do some training while they help us prepare for departure." Shin suggested. "Although before I could say it those two were already at it." Shin said pointing at Kenji and Kai.

Shin pulled out a case of cards as Kamui, Izaki, and Morikawa flocked the case "Aichi-kun here." Shin handed out a hand-picked cards for Aichi.

As Aichi started up with the cards Mina, Konnosuke, and Mikazuki felt something within Aichi, finally the power that is suppressing itself within him finally showed a part of it.

Mina, Konnosuke and Mikazuki froze as they also felt it, Mina who can feel Aichi's divinity somehow started to falter.

"Mina-nee? Mina-nee?" Horikawa tries to call out to her.

"Huh!?" Mina snaps back as she respond to Horikawa.

Mina felt shivers in her as she readies for the worse and decided to finally ask someone who might give her the answer.

When they had sufficient time for training they started talking about where to go back.

"Are you going back home first?" Aichi asked Misaki, Miwa, and Kamui.

"Yeah, maybe will be back by Monday too." Miwa said.

"Yeah gotta have to take a rest." Kamui said.

Aichi parted ways with the others as he rode the minibus that the toudans have rode yesterday.

~Back at the Citadel -Evening-~

Konnosuke, Mina and Aichi silently sits at the veranda at the garden while the toudans are sleeping.

"It was really hard not being able to talk." Konnosuke started as Mina and Aichi laughs.

"Hey, Aichi…" Somehow she doesn't even know where to start and instead "I noticed that you were that good friends with that Morikawa and Izaki." Though she really also wanted to talk about it.

"You see, they really didn't bully me to much extent." Aichi said while looking up at the clear sky "They actually just did that when they saw my Blaster Blade card and took it from me."

"So they beat you up and stole it?" Mina summarized as Aichi chuckled.

"Though to be honest if they didn't do it, I really wouldn't be able to meet him again." Aichi started.

"Kai-kun gave me a card when I was small, a card that gave me strength and thought that I finally made a friend he just disappeared without a trace, finally able to do something and with whom I could call a friend and just like that it was lost in also an instant. Though I didn't falter, believing that I would someday be able to meet up with him again. And then finally meeting him again made me really happy, and because of that I was thankful to them that they gave me a chance to meet him." Aichi paused. "Although it was really scary being bullied and beaten at least something good came out of it" Aichi laughs it off making Mina and Konnosuke frowns.

"Besides it was really fun to be with them, although somehow Kai-kun was really different from before." Somehow while Aichi was telling them this tale, slowly he felt tired.

"But I know deep down he still is that same person, it's just that something happened that made him… like… that…" Aichi fell asleep as Mikazuki was already there to successfully catch him.

"Oh you were awake." Mina said a little surprised at how fast he was.

"I couldn't sleep." Mikazuki said as he carried Aichi into his arms "I'll be going to take him into his room then." Mina and Konnosuke sighed as they too decided to take a rest as Konnosuke jumped to Mikazuki's shoulder and headed off to Aichi's room.

~Sunday Morning~

"Mina-nee I am going out for a while!" Aichi shouted from the halls knowing where Mina could be.

"Eh?! Aichi-kun!" Mina was surprised as Aichi dashed out of the citadel in a hurry without Mina's knowledge of where he might be going.

Mina went to the garden and noticed Mikazuki and then started staring at him "It's not that all the time I could get what is in his mind though." Mikazuki understood that gaze as he answered to her.

"Oh… ehehehe…" Mina nervously laughed.

"I know though." Konnosuke answered.

"Oh, you finally did something." Mina blankly answered.

"That hurts you know." Konnosuke said as a tear drop is now formed at his still closed eye.

"Well, where is he going?" Mina asked.

"He said that he will be looking out information about swords himself." Konnosuke said.

"Does he plan to make another sword?" Mina thought as Mikazuki understood the reason behind it "Well it's not a problem but I hope he would do it to a minimum." Mina is thinking of what could be the reason why.

"Do you know why?" Mina asked Mikazuki.

"Like I said…" He sighed as he was cut off by Mina

"Oh no, I was going to ask him to print out those photos." Mina is talking about the beach photos.

"Why don't you just head out?" Konnosuke said.

Mina thought twice for a moment "Well… maybe I should head out once in a while." As she stood up and prepared herself.

Konnosuke silently lay on the wooden floor as silence filled the two, a little while later the other toudans started gathering either in the garden, veranda, or the room in front of the garden.

"Come to think of it, Aichi's summer vacation is almost over…" Konnosuke said as there is only two weeks left of Aichi's summer vacation.

"Summer Vacation?" Mikazuki asked, not familiar of the term.

"AH! That means Aichi-sama would mostly be at school then!" Imanotsurugi shouted as he ran towards Konnosuke.

"Does that mean he still need to go back there?" Sayo asked as he too moved towards them.

"In this era children from 4 to 18 years old needs to go to school, it will just depend if they would go into college or start working." Konnosuke still lays on the floor as he continued to explain Aichi's situation.

"Their educational system is very advance too, though I shouldn't be surprised anymore, nut still…" Shokudaikiri is amazed at the modernization of this era.

"It only means not that much time anymore to see Aichi-sama." Midare frowned.

"What is a school though?" Taroutachi asked.

"Is it like our type of school?" Hakata guessed though he is talking about a group.

"No, this school is a place of education for children and fun activities." Konnosuke explained.

"But it wasn't exactly a fun experience for him ever since he went to that school." Yasusada said as if it was a nuisance.

"It was actually the opposite in his experience." Yamanbagiri noted which the other agreed.

"Why doesn't he just stop going then?" Hasebe said.

"Don't you think it was his own way of moving forward?" Mikazuki smile.

"I am actually getting curious of this school thing." Horikawa asked with fascination in his eyes.

"I wonder what kind of surprises it has!" Tsurumaru joined in Horikawa's interest.

"Hmmm… if there will be an open house at Aichi's school you can go by groups to stroll around and check, though there will be no classes but there will be events." Konnosuke wags his tail.

"Oh! What kind of events!" Mutsunokami asked who seems to be interested the same with Horikawa and Tsurumaru.

"Hmm…" Konnosuke opens once of his eyes as he enumerates some "There are many kinds like plays, food stalls, café, cosplay, horror house and many more. Each class has different activity depending on what they will agree on." Konnosuke smiles as he closes his eyes.

"Fufufufuf… I see there will be spirits that will be coming to play." Nikkari laughs which the others sweat dropped at.

"Will they be able to enter?" Gokotai motioned for the tiger cubs.

"Depends on school, but I think mostly they don't" Konnosuke sweat dropped.

And then suddenly "AHHH! I've been so occupied that Aichi-sama is always here that I forgot to remind him about his homework!" Kiyomitsu shouted as realization hits him.

"Relax, I always hear you shouting homework this and homework there, I always remind him of that… … …" Yagen stopped. "I think I have forgotten too since last week, I don't even remember now if he finished it."

"AHHH!" Kiyomitsu panicked, and there is only two weeks left.

"Take it easy Kiyomitsu, I'm sure Aichi-kun is doing fine…" Mina said though somehow she thought otherwise too as he was busy this past weeks.

"Just remind him later." Shokudaikiri tries to calm Kiyomitsu down.

"Oh that's a surprise you are wearing normal clothes, Are you going out?" Tsurumaru said as she looked at Mina.

"Yeah, I need to take the photos I took and get it printed." Mina said holding her phone out, Mina is wearing a pink tube top with laces that is tied on her nape, over it is a cream knitted cardigan sweater, black skater skirts, and a black flat shoes.

"Mina-nee you look pretty!" Yasusada said as he jumps at the veranda and closes in on her.

Though it is not visible as she tries not to blush her heart is already beating so fast "D-don't lean in too close." She said as she looks away.

"Hey? Do you need someone to join you outside?" Yasusada offered to be a chaperone.

"If that is alright with you…" Mina said "O-oh no, is this a date?!"

"Does anyone want to come?" Yasusada asked the others and instantly Mina's imagination was shut down in an instant.

"Will you be joining up with Aichi-sama?" Midare asked.

Mina sighs, her heart beat just returned to normal because of Yasusada "I don't think I will though."

"Then, we will stay here and wait for him then." Midare said.

"I will take care of the place." Shokudaikiri said as the title of attendant is still on him.

"I… I see, then…" Mina's heartbeat started to beat faster again "It is a date… No, Mina he is just offering to accompany you, this is not a date! I repeat, this is not a date."

"How about you Kiyomitsu." Yasusada said as Mina's heart beat froze this time though Kiyomitsu is too deep in thought.

"I don't think he will recover anytime sooner…" Nikkari said as he laughs.

Of course it didn't get passed Mikazuki "Have fun on your trip." Mikazuki smiles at Mina.

And once again Mina's heart beats faster thinking of the thought as Yasusada accompanies him outside.

~At the Bookstore~

Muttering to himself Aichi in his hands a basket full of books mostly reference for sword that is giving him a lot of second thoughts "I wonder if I should bring back all of these references or should just pick out the relevant ones for now…"

Aichi sweats as his eyes trail off the basket "I'll put it to a minimum…" He told himself as he placed back the other books and took only the ones he would really be needing.

And then at that time a short ring from his phone was heard while heading towards the counter.

Checking who the sender is "It's Mina-nee" he opened it to read the message.

Mina "Aichi-kun, I'm heading out for a bit to print out the photos that I took on our trip, Shokudaikiri is taking care of the citadel. I am also borrowing Yasusada as he volunteered to join me in my trip."

Reading the message he actually thought of asking Mina to tell the toudans and ask who could fetch him at the store because of the abundant books he had with him, thankfully he restrained himself in doing so and returned some, only those that he could carry and those that he thinks he would really need are the ones that he decided to bring with him.

As he finishes the message he noticed a P.S. below "P.S. Kiyomitsu is panicking whether you have finished your homework"

Shaking as he himself started to panic Aichi hurried to the counter only to be met with a crowd in the line, sighing he noted on his phone about his certain homework.

Aichi "I can't believe I forgot about it…"

~Few moments later~

As he went on his way and left the store, with him the books he successfully purchased "It's a good thing I saved up some money so I can buy this books, I still have enough to buy a few more!" He chimed as he walked back home.

Unfortunately for him as he walks down his path, somehow he felt a strange energy as he stopped on his tracks looking on his left and right.

Finally he found out where the strange energy he felt, it is from Ren Suzugamori as he noticed walking along the same path as him, though thankfully he hasn't noticed his presence as he tries to hide himself from him.

Looking to his left and his right to find a path so they could not encounter each other noticing a safe path, he hastily jumped towards it praying to the gods to not cross path with him.

As he silently hid behind the wall he looks for other ways to ran around to find a safe path unfortunately the gods weren't graceful

"Aichi-kun." a dead cold tone is all he heard to give him cold sweats as he stops from his tracks, that tone of voice was all too familiar.

Slowly turning around trying not to meet the caller's eyes Aichi saw the clothes of the person calling out to him as it was indeed him, he also noticed a silhouette of a female next to him, and the person could be Asaka, one of the members of FFAL4 Asaka Narumi.

"I didn't think there will be a chance like this that we could meet." Ren smiled at Aichi with cold unsmiling eyes, although Aichi cannot see it he can feel it as he tightens his grip on the books he was holding.

Aichi gulped as he was out of words to say back "So how is your winning rate coming along? Improving? Or just making things worse." Ren laughed a little.

"Let me guess you are still a burden to hi-" Ren gasped and stopped on his words as they heard footsteps.

"On the contrary in another area we are the burden." A voice from behind said.

It was Miwa, Misaki, Kamui, and Kai who came to the rescue.

Outro: Unfortunately my country's government decided to lift the quarantine, meaning there will be less time again for me to be able to continue on the story, I was even at the climax part of the story T_T, even though the case of the covid here is around 11,500 cases, welp there is nothing I can do about it.

I'm very sorry for my lack of vocabulary and wrong grammars and wrong spellings, but I hope you like the story nonetheless, and thank you for everyone's continuous support!
