Chapter 55: A refreshing sight to see

"But Aichi-sama you must have heard me saying it was fine for me to wait! That it would be alright to wait, that I won't mind! But instead you pushed yourself again, almost endangering yourself!" Tears start to form onto Horikawa's eyes "Mina-nee told us that because of what you did you might not be able to get your strength back yet, that she thought that you won't be able to recover until you come back to school." When Horikawa was about to speak up again, Aichi finally decided to speak.

"I don't intend to do it again" He looks straight at Horikawa "I've already heard someone who said the same things as if they were the ones that befalls like a curse onto me because of summoning them." Aichi bitterly smiled "And it's not a nice sight to see and to feel as they continue to apologize and feel like it was their fault." As it finally turns into a frown "And then you came saying the opposite of them, hearing different opinions like that, somehow kind of surprised me."

"I cried my heart out in front of them, saying sorry over and over" a tear dropped on Aichi's face as he hastily wipes it off "But then I promised to someone that I won't cry so that I won't see him sad, then I thought about it I should really stop doing those kinds of things, it's just painful to see or hear what you say." Horikawa calmed down for a moment.

"Blaming themselves because of my own fault, I did it because it was my choice is what I said, but because of my choices it would only lead to you and everyone to somehow lose their faith to themselves and to me" Aichi sighed heavily remembering Horikawa's words "My heart felt like it was going to be crushed just like what you have said now. Especially when you said as if I wasn't even thinking about you guys."

"Has it occurred that I wouldn't be thinking about you and the others if I didn't do that, though it would be really wrong to say that, since it's true that I heard you that time when I was in front of your room, I wanted to ask why you were giving out that face, that face as if you envied Kiyomitsu and Yasusada" Horikawa was surprised at what he heard last, it was actually his fault that pushed him to do that and he greatly blamed Aichi for that.

When Horikawa was about to say something he hesitated as he felt ashamed "When I heard you saw that you were willing to wait, I decided not to do it since I was still weak I know I won't be able to obtain him with dumb luck, but at the beach I saw you more and more envious, I researched it and found out that you were partnered with Izuminokami when you were both wielded by Hijikata, he was the one you that you were waiting… I really wanted to help you at least get that envy off"

Aichi bits his lips "Did you know when you first came here, you mostly mention Kane-san always, but then stopped and noticed that sad expression but paid no mind to it since when I try to make sure those expression were real it would change back to normal and then noticed that Sayo was patiently waiting for someone too, so I decided that it will be my last and then if I ever failed I would just apologize to the both of you that I failed to bring someone that you both were waiting for and it will take months before I will even have a chance to try again."

Aichi slowly sobs "I know it was my fault and I am very sorry about it." Another set of tears came out but he hurriedly wipes it away "I promised I won't cry!" Aichi raise his head to stop the tears from flowing.

While Horikawa lost his will to speak as it was later found out that it was actually his fault in the end, he didn't think it would end up like that and he surely didn't think that it would hurt Aichi "Aichi-sama I should be the one to apologize!" Aichi won't look towards him and he felt it was his fault for that he should have understood that.

"Aichi-sama!" Horikawa called his attention as Aichi slowly lowered his head back to normal to face him "I'm really sorry but Aichi-sama please at least promise me!" Aichi paused for a moment as he tries to sink it in him, two promises in one day he thought.

He let him continue on and hear him out "Aichi-sama please promise me to never push yourself again and think about things with much thought, in exchange I will always support you in any way I can so just ask if you need my help or opinion!" Horikawa hurriedly showed his pinky to him.

And then Aichi thought that it was somehow back to normal order leaving only two that jumped to Tsurumaru "I'm looking forward to it thank you, I will try to minimize it down." Aichi answered and locked his pinky with Horikawa.

As they smiled and finally pulled apart Horikawa's tears finally came down as he hurriedly wipes it off and since they have finally talked things out Horikawa hurried to the left food on the table as he took it and sat at Aichi's bed "Hai! It's time to eat."

Seeing Horikawa back to his normal smiling Aichi can't help but start to smile again as Aichi continues on to eat Horikawa tells him stories about yep as you would have guessed about his days that passed with Izuminokami.

~Garden –Monday Morning-~

Deciding to go down stairs even if he still doesn't feel well he decided to go and take a look around and move about a little but it seems since it was a Monday he should have figured that no one would be here as they are all doing chores to finish it early and help the others if needed so that they can finish.

But there was a specific person that he was actually wish to see and so the hunt begins! The first place he went to was the garden, next the field, the laundry area? Anywhere? "Where could he be?" He thought to himself but then he thought there was one side of the citadel that he hasn't been yet, the training hall!

~Training Hall~

As he hurries to try and check he immediately locked on to the toudans with the yellow bandana as he stared at that person he noticed that he was helping the others train as soon as Mikazuki felt his presence he hastily turned around and spoke his name "Aichi-sama" when Mikazuki moved forward towards him they noticed where he is but there were something different about him.

He seems to be pouting as he stares intently at Mikazuki and flick his head as he hurriedly leaves the area, the toudans who were there were Tsurumaru, Yamanbagiri, Midare, Kasen, Hachisuka, Nikkari, and of course Mikazuki, find that refreshing expression "Cute" they all thought as they all looked at Mikazuki who was the one that made them able to see that rare sight.

"You forgot to visit him?" Tsurumaru said as he was the one that saw him clearly enter Aichi's room in a hurry as he tries to reach him, unfortunately he was unable to get in time.

Mikazuki froze as he really did plan to visit again but he didn't mean to end it this way "I'm going to follow him." Mikazuki with a blank and sweating face hurries to take back the wooden sword as he hurries to follow Aichi.

"That's the first time Aichi-sama made that expression!" Midare said in shock and also satisfying.

"It was kind of refreshing, to be honest." Nikkari added.

"Eh? He doesn't normally do that?" Kasen was confused as did Hachisuka.

"With Aichi-sama's personality it was our first time to even see such an expression." Yamanbagiri spoke as he tries to hide his face while Nikkari, Midare, and Tsurumaru nodded in super agreed manner.

"Oh! Well said Yamanbagiri." Tsurumaru patted his back "It was close to a pout which looks childish and cute it was really surprising."

And even Miwa and Kai were also very surprised about what they have seen. In their minds even Tsurumaru were now thinking of "What the hell did Mikazuki do?" Especially with his face like that as he ran following him. Completely forgetting the fact that Aichi is now roaming around and not having any more difficulties.

~Field~

As he runs away from Mikazuki he finds himself running towards the area of the field noticing the ones who are busy with their chores he smiles at them, having fun while at the same time poking fun at others.

The ones in field duty where Kiyomitsu, Yasusada, Mutsunokami, and Taroutachi. Who were playing around while still being able to do their task "Will they be able to really finish it though." Somehow with this kind of line up he thought twice.

As he silently watches them from afar he forgot the one person who he was hiding from "Aichi-sama~" Mikazuki calls out in a sweet and playful manner.

"Uwah!" Which surprised Aichi with it the four heard his shout as they all noticed that Aichi is now able to go outside again but what surprises them is what happens next.

As they watch the events unfold they noticed a Mikazuki behind Aichi as Aichi hurriedly looks away when he noticed the certain toudan behind him, Mikazuki tries to say something but Aichi took a step backward as Mikazuki moves closer resulting to Aichi backing away again ending in him running again from him, somehow the look of Mikazuki right now with a blank face and is sweating makes them curious and not used to it, as it was their first time seeing it.

Aside from the fact that they were surprised with how Aichi tried to avoid Mikazuki, they were also curious at "What did he do?"

~Lunch time –Dining Hall-~

With the toudans finally able to be joined at the table by Aichi they decided to make a grand feast for lunch. As they say their welcome back and continued good health to him they started eating.

"I knew that staying here wasn't a bad idea!" Miwa said as he started to gnaw at the food in front of him having all kinds and different kinds of food in front of him it was always a feast each day.

"Have some manners while eating!" Misaki scolded him, but he wasn't the only one who ate like there was no tomorrow the number one on the list is Mutsunokami as they continued on to feast.

After their feast while the dishes are being cleaned Mikazuki saw this as an opportunity, while Aichi was focused on speaking with the others Mikazuki made his way next to him, as he places his hand on top of Aichi's shoulder he called out to him "Aichi-sama…"

Mikazuki carefully calls out as Aichi hurriedly turns his neck to face him as he noticed the hand placed on his shoulder by Mikazuki, Aichi hastily stood up and hurried outside of the room. Once again his face turns blank as his face is field with sweat once again as he froze on the spot. And then again their thoughts were filled with "What the hell did he do?!"

~Afternoon at the garden~

While the others who have finished their tasks before sun down decided to take a rest at the garden, Aichi who is walking towards the garden was seen by Mikazuki and thinking of another opportunity he hurried to him, this time Mikazuki tries to catch him from behind sadly though as clumsy as Aichi is, he tripped to a rock and Mikazuki lost his chance to do so.

It was another failed attempt he though, as Aichi saw Mikazuki he hurried to leave the area, which the others who saw, once again left them the same idea they had but with an additional of "Poor Mikazuki…"

~Evening -Garden-~

While Aichi silently sat at the veranda of the garden, he passes time while drinking hot tea while Mina, Konnosuke, Dategumi, Okitagumi, and Hijikatagumi relaxes with him on the cold night breeze he finds it peaceful somehow, for now that is.

What Aichi didn't know is that Mikazuki was already near the area and is about to take this another opportunity.

Mikazuki walks in without the others not even noticing his presence nor even the others as he landed a soft kiss on Aichi's cheeks, as daring as possible will make him unmovable is what Mikazuki thought, and it did work, as Aichi froze on the spot he held the cheek that Mikazuki kissed until his face become redder by the second and with that Mikazuki started to speak "Aichi-sama, I wanted to apo-" when Mikazuki was about to finish Aichi mustered up the remaining strength he has as he sprinted toward his room.

Mikazuki reached out his hand trying to grab hold of him, unfortunately he wasn't able to do, and he paused with his lips forming into a smile because of confusion as the others were very surprised and amused at what had just happened in front of them.

Thought Kiyomitsu, Yasusada, Horikawa, Tsurumaru, and Shokudaikiri won't lie if they were asked if they were pleased with what they scene, because they would answer that they did not like what they have seen.

While staring at the petrified Mikazuki they heard a loud slide of a door and a bang which seemed to have come from Aichi's room, they figured that Aichi ran up to his room "I think that is your only chance to apologize." Tsurumaru started making the others turn to him thinking that he has an idea regarding about all of this.

"If you don't mind me asking but… What did happen between you and Aichi-sama?" Yasusada frankly asked curious at what has been happening since this morning.

As Mikazuki gaze at the second floor where Aichi's room is, he decided to sit for a moment to let it pass and tell them the reason for today's trouble. "When I found out that Aichi-sama woke up… I told him that I would leave for a moment to call on to someone to bring him food and medicine because of his slight fever, but he begged me not to leave his side." Mikazuki smiles for a moment "Of course I would prioritize his health so I promised that I would come back as soon as possible. I really do plan to come back but, by the time I was free last night he was already asleep, and I decided to wait again tomorrow."

"Because we kept you from going that time you weren't able to come…" Horikawa felt somehow at fault since he was once of the people who swarmed him asking if Aichi indeed woke up.

"And then in the morning we called you in." Mina and Konnosuke looked at each other.

Mikazuki slightly laughs "It wasn't anyone's fault, my management in time is what has led to this." He started again the story after a pause "Whenever I decided to come to his room, there would always be someone first before me when he wakes up, and then when Tsurumaru and the others where inside his room I hurried to come since at the least when you leave I would be able to talk to him, but he was still too ill to even stay awake." Mikazuki smiles at the three from what he found out yesterday.

Shokudaikiri and Tsurumaru looked at each other but then Tsurumaru remembered something "Sadly this morning, you were dragged in the training hall." He raised a brow feeling somewhat sorry for him.

"It was such a site to see that Aichi-sama tries to get away from you." Kiyomitsu smiles as he finds it amusing.

"I kind of agree though, I am not used to Aichi running from you." Konnosuke added.

Mikazuki laughs "I couldn't agree more, even I was used to Aichi-sama always there, but then he always run away since this morning that it makes me freeze from the cold treatment." he continued on "When I noticed that normal approach still kept him from running away, I decided to use a different approach which for a moment worked but he was that unhappy from seeing me that even after that he still had strength left to leave." He sighs as he finished.

"I can somewhat understand now." Shokudaikiri spoke "Why not try to visit him now, I'm sure there will be no way he can run away at this point." He pointed at the second floor, which is Aichi's room.

He looks to where Shokudaikiri is pointing at, putting it into much thought he stood up as he walks toward the direction of Aichi's room.

"It just feels weird when things aren't normal." Tsurumaru said.

"This is a new sight that Mikazuki-san is the one needing help." Horikawa said.

"It's usually him that always gives us ideas and such." Kiyomitsu added.

"I guess when it comes to Aichi-sama, you really will lose your cool." Shokudaikiri said.

"It's surprising how it affects us when it comes to him." Yasusada said.

"Just goes to show how much you treasure him and so does Aichi to you all." Mina smiles as they silently wait for news. Though Ookurikara and Izuminokami thinks otherwise as they are still new.

~Aichi's Room~

Mikazuki didn't hide his presence this time looking straight into the door that is an obstacle between them "Aichi-sama, I'm coming in." Giving a heads up to Aichi he proceeded into opening up the door.

When he closed the door behind him, he immediately looked at the area where his bed is as he noticed a lump on his bed he immediately understood that it was Aichi under those sheets.

"Aichi-sama." The sheets move a little as he called out his name noticing a response he continued on "Do you perhaps, hate me now?" He asked while walking towards his bed.

Resulting to Aichi springing up from his bed "N-no I don't!" as he noticed a big silhouette in front of him his face that is back to normal color than before has become a bright red.

Not making eye contact to the Tachi in front of him, Mikazuki took a chair and sat beside his bed "Then do you dislike me?" he toned it down a little but still no eye contact "Then?" he was about so speak again but Aichi cuts him off.

"I'm just sad…" He answered because of Mikazuki's continuous question it left him no choice but to answer.

Finally he heard his answer Mikazuki thought that before he explains himself he wanted to at least listen to what his real feelings are towards him because of him breaking his promise "I'm sorry." Mikazuki apologize as he moves Aichi close to him he planted a kiss on his forehead "I didn't mean to break our promise." Mikazuki's action surprised him greatly but he wanted to first listen to him so he decided to talk about that part later.

"I'm also sorry if I ever prioritized the others over you but, whenever I try to come here there were already someone who beat me here first." Mikazuki laughs "I didn't think that I was the one who is slow, I didn't forget my promise, my timing was just really wrong. I didn't want to spoil the mood so I decided to come back later."

"It seems that I do not really 100% understand you after all, you are still complex that you keep surprising me every turn, somehow I wished that our bond were just a powerful blood contract." Aichi didn't understand what he meant about what he meant but he too want to really understand what their bond is, but with things happening it seems they will just have to wait for Kon to come back.

"Though I will really be sad if you did say that you didn't even feel my presence at that time." Mikazuki smiled while caressing Aichi's hair.

"I did, but I passed out before…" Aichi lowers his head.

Mikazuki laughs "That is because you were crying your heart out, I clearly panicked at that time and ran only to see that you were having a moment with the three of them." Mikazuki puffs "Hopefully this could make Ookurikara soften up."

"Just keep in mind to always be yourself but don't push yourself too much." He slowly embraced Aichi "It does make me feel better when you accept my embraces." Mikazuki smiles feeling refreshed "Will you forgive me?"

"Of course… it's not that I don't want to stay mad, but you were taking your time, I thought you really have forgotten about our promise" As always that somehow when he is with Mikazuki he feels much more comfortable.

"So you were just sulking…" Mikazuki broke off the embrace as he pokes fun at Aichi which he just looks away with a flushed face making him let out a soft chuckle.

"Mikazuki…" Aichi called.

"Mmhhh?..." As he responded to him.

"I'm tired… you won't leave my side this time… right?" Aichi asked as a frown was etched on his face.

He held his soft cheeks "I won't, I will stay with you until you open your eyes the next day." As he smiles warmly to him.

Aichi smiles back as he tucked himself in his bed as Mikazuki watches over him.

~At the city~

"Still can't find where they could be?" The masked cloaked man spoke within the shadows of an alley.

"It's because he hasn't used that ability of his." Ren answered the cloaked man "I don't know where they might be either aside from that card shop where I met him."

"That shop with those females…" The cloaked man spoke.

"That's the only place I know that he went, and I haven't even found any of those other trash." Ren sighed he was referring to the whole Team Q4.

"They must be using a barrier to hide it." The cloaked man showed himself "I don't want to create a scene since they are all about running around here in the present than in the past, they would hinder my search."

"You know I am still curious of what you are." Ren tries to get much information to him as he can from him.

"At due time when we do find them you will find out." The cloaked man passed on something to Ren "With this you can feel his divinity, I'm sure you will be surprised if you ever felt it."

Ren took the paper "Another talisman?"

"Since you don't know anything about divinity at least that could help you sense him." the cloaked man explained "We will do a split search again, and when we find him or even one of them, you know what to do with that other talisman I gave you."

"Yeah…" Ren said as the cloaked man disappeared as the two of them finally joined forces and locate the area where they might be in residing. "Should I use dirty information?" Ren smiled as he took out his phone.

As the day past by and continue on each day he becomes curious and is much anticipating what thrill this could bring him, especially in mind he never forgers the revenge he wanted draws near "Soon, you will regret…"
