Sakura, Sora, & the Mysterious Book
(Cardcaptor Sakura OP 1 Creditless Blue-Ray)
(Third-person POV)
*A ripple appeared on a watery surface & a ringing sound was heard. The face of a child sleeping was seen when there was another ripple & ringing sound. Just then, a book with a winged lion on the cover was seen when the ringing happened a third time. The book opened, revealing a rectangle hole on the pages.
?:*off-screen* Hello? Who's there?
*Then, a tall tower in front was a full moon was seen. Standing on a nearby building were two figures. One had a pink cape & the other had a blue one. Both capes blowing in the wind. A small creature was flying next to them. A golden eye was seen. Cards were raining down around the two figures. Each one was holding a wand that looked almost identical to the other. One had a pink rod, a gold head, white wings, & a red triangular jewel & the other had a purple rod, a gold head, white wings, & red triangular jewel (look up "Sora's Wand" by "SwanGirl24" on "DeviantArt"). They both held them at the ready*
?: I'm ready.
?: Me too.
*The creature turned to them as they both stepped up to the edge of the roof. Wings appeared on their heels. They then started to fall off the roof*
*Just then, the sound an alarm was heard. The sound woke up a boy with bright gray hair, peach skin, green eyes, & wearing blue pajamas. He then put on his black rimmed glasses & looked at his alarm clock*
Sora: Morning already?
?:*off-screen* Sakura! Sora! Your breakfast is ready!
Sora: Coming, Dad!
*Sora got out of bed & started to get dressed (his uniform is a black long sleeved shirt with red & white sleeve cuffs, a white neckerchief with a red stripe, black pants, white socks, & black shoes)*
(Sora's POV)
*Good morning. My name is Sora Kinomoto. I'm a fourth grader at Tomoeda Elementary School. My favorite subjects are History & P.E. My least favorite is Art. I'm very mature & responsible for my age, but I know when it's time to have fun*
*After I finished getting dressed, I left my bedroom to go brush my teeth. As I was leaving, my twin sister, Sakura (younger by 4 minutes), came out of her bedroom, (she has light brown hair, peach skin, green eyes & is wearing red beads in her little pigtails, a black long sleeved shirt with red and white sleeve cuffs, a white neckerchief with a red stripe, a white pleated miniskirt with a frilly white knee-length petticoat, white socks, & brown shoes) which is next door to mine*
Sakura: Good morning, Sora.
Sora: Good morning, Sakura.
*After we finished in the bathroom, we grabbed our backpacks & white hats & ran downstairs.
Sakura & Sora: Good morning!
*We found our older brother, Touya (he has dark brown hair, light tan skin, brown eyes & is wearing a white button up shirt, a black necktie with yellow trim, black pants, & black shoes. his light blue jacket was hung on the back of his chair), sitting at the table, drinking coffee*
Touya: What's with all the stomping around?
*We sat down as at the table*
Sakura: We weren't stomping!
Touya: Sounds like you were stomping from down here.
Sakura: Well, we weren't stomping, all right!
Touya: So you keep saying. But you both sound like monsters when you walk around.
*Sakura growled in rage & literally stomped over to where he was sitting*
Sakura: We are not monsters!
Sora: Sakura, don't let him get to you.
*Touya just put his mug on her head while she tried to get out from under it*
*Touya is a second year in high school. His high school is next door to our elementary school. He's always teasing us just because he's bigger than us. I mostly just ignore him, but I know Sakura dreams of growing ten times taller & then squashing him*
Fujitaka:*off-screen* Nice to see all getting along.
*Our Dad came out of the kitchen with our breakfast in each hand*
*This is Fujitaka Kinomoto (he's got brown hair, peach skin & brown eyes, & is wearing a pink & yellow apron over a white button up shirt, brown pants, & black shoes). Our Father. He's teaches archeology at the local university. He's not only caring, he's also a great cook. I kinda look up to him. I wanna be just like him when I grow up*
Fujitaka: Here you are.
Sakura: It looks great! Thank you, Dad!
Sora: Thanks, Dad.
*As I was eating I turned to look at a picture of a beautiful woman with bright gray hair in a braid, pale skin, green eyes, & wearing a light pink sweater over a light blue dress & holding purple flowers*
*That's Nadeshiko Kinomoto. Our Mother. She passed away when Sakura & I were 3 years old. But it's okay. We've got the best Dad in the world and our brother's okay to, when he's not being a jerk*
Fujitaka: How is it?
Sakura: Great!
Sora: Delicious as always, Dad.
*Touya put his mug down & stood up from his chair*
Touya: I'm done.
Sakura: What? You're leaving?
*He put his jacket on*
Touya: Soccer practice.
*Dad gave him his lunch*
Fujitaka: Here.
Touya: Thanks, Dad. See ya.
*He headed towards the door*
Sakura: Hey, wait a second!
*She started eating her breakfast really fast*
Sora: Sakura, slow down. You're going to choke.
*She just ignored me as she tried to force it down her throat*
Sakura: Thanks for breakfast!
Fujitaka: You've finished already? *she nodded* Well, here's your lunch.
*Knowing she was going to wait for me & yell for me to hurry up, I finished my food, quickly & carefully*
Sora: Thank you for breakfast.
Fujitaka: You too? *I nodded* Here's your lunch.
Sora: Thanks, Dad.
*I then went to the front room & we put on our skates, knee pads, elbow pads, & gloves (Sakura's were pink, white, & yellow. Mine were blue, white, & yellow)*
Sakura: Where's Touya?
Fujitaka: He left already. *we skated out of the yard* Sakura, do you have cheerleading today?
Sakura: Yeah!
Fujitaka: What about you, Sora? Do you have baseball practice today?
Sora: Yes! Bye, Dad!
Sakura: See ya!
Fujitaka: Bye!
*We skated down the street*
Sakura: Where did he go?
Sora: He's probably just a little bit ahead. We'll catch up.
*We then turned a corner & soon, we were skating underneath cherry trees, with their flowers in full bloom*
Sakura & Sora: Wow!
*We slowed down a little bit to enjoy the view. I then noticed Touya up ahead, riding his bike*
Sora: I see him! Up ahead!
Sakura: Right, got him! *we picked up speed* Wait for us!
Sora: Slow down!
*We were soon skating next to him*
Touya: You know, Sakura. You and Sora can leave for school much later.
Sakura: I know.
*She blushed. I smiled at my twin. The only reason she rushes in the morning is so that she can see him (you'll find who out soon). I follow after her because I want to support her*
Touya: Hey, Yukito!
*We both looked ahead & saw a boy with dark gray hair, pale skin, light brown eyes, & wearing black rimmed glasses & the same uniform as Touya with his bike*
Yukito: Oh, good morning.
*I could literally see my sister's eyes turn into hearts*
*All three of us stopped in front of him*
Touya: Hey.
Yukito: Morning, Touya. Good morning, Sakura and Sora. You're both up early.
Sakura: Yeah . . .
Sora: Good morning, Yukito.
Touya: You should have seen Sakura gulping down her breakfast.
*Just for that, we both kicked him in the shin. Sakura & I then smiled back at Yukito*
Yukito: I guess you two showed him who's boss.
*This is Yukito Tsukishiro. He's in the same year as Touya. He's also Touya's best friend. Hard to believe, right? And in case you didn't notice, Sakura has a bit of a crush on him*
Yukito: Well, see you, Sakura. You too, Sora.
Sora: Bye. Have a good day.
*We were already at school. Sakura & turned into the gate leading to our school, while Touya & Yukito went past it to their school next door. Sakura stopped to watch Yukito leave. He then turned around & tossed two candies towards us*
Yukito: See you later!
*We both caught one each*
Sakura: He's so sweet!
?:*off-screen* He's quite a hunk.
*I felt my heart skip a beat when I heard that voice. We then noticed a girl with long deep gray hair, pale skin, indigo eyes, & wearing the same uniform as Sakura. A blush grew on my face*
Sakura & Sora: Tomoyo!
Tomoyo: Giving you both a present as he's leaving, he's quite a charmer.
Sakura: Yeah.
Sora: G - Good morning, Tomoyo. How are you today?
Tomoyo: I'm well and a good morning to you both.
*This is Tomoyo Daidouji. She's Sakura's best friend. She's smart, pretty, & rich. Her Father owns a really big company. I kinda have a crush on her*
*We then went to the lockers to get our indoor shoes*
Tomoyo:*to Sakura* You should've seen your face, it was so cute.
Sakura: Huh?
Tomoyo: That candy in your hand and the look of love all over your face. *she turned to me* You looked just as cute, with the other candy in your hand and the polite smile on your face.
*Sakura & I both blushed from embarrassment, my face turning more red than hers*
Sora: Uh . . . Thanks, I guess.
Sakura: Was it really that obvious?
Tomoyo: I just wish I had a camera to capture such a beautiful moment.
Sakura: Good idea.
*One thing Tomoyo loves doing is taking pictures & making videos. Apparently, for some weird reason, Sakura & I are her favorite models*
Tomoyo: Hey, Sakura, Sora, my Dad just bought me a new video camera! Do you think I could film you two next time?
Sora: Uh . . . Tomoyo, we're very flattered, but there must be something more interesting for a video subject than us.
Sakura: I was thinking the same thing.
Tomoyo: But the look on your faces while you were holding those candies was so sweet and loving. *we both fell to our knees* I'll bring the video camera with me tomorrow.
*She walked away*
*Tomoyo's nice, but a little weird. But I guess that's just one of the things I like about her*
?:*off-screen* Yo! What's up!
*We turned around & saw a boy our age with spikey mahogany hair, peach skin with bandaids on his face, & amber brown eyes wearing the same uniform as me, running up to us*
Sora: Hey, Kenji. Good morning.
Sakura & Tomoyo: Good morning.
*Kenji came up to us & wrapped an arm at my shoulders*
Kenji: So, Sora. You ready for practice today?
Sora: I'm ready if you are.
Kenji: Awesome!
*This is Kenji Kirishima. My best friend from the baseball club. He's a big ball of energy with a short attention span, but he's a great friend. His parents own a flower shop*
*Later that day, we were sitting in English class*
Teacher: And there he appeared. A wild look in his eyes. His mouth gaping from the surprise. *I looked over at Sakura, who sat a few rows away from me, & saw her drawing in her notebook* But who wouldn't have been. Had there ever been such a large orange . . .
*I started thinking about the dream I had last night. The two figures that looked similar to me & Sakura & the small creature floating next to us*
Sora:*in his mind* That was such a strange dream. I wonder what it meant.
*I then turned back to Sakura & saw her whispering to Tomoyo, who sits next to her*
Teacher: Sakura?
*We all looked at the Teacher*
Sakura: Yes?
Teacher: Please read aloud.
*Sakura stood up, holding her book*
Sakura: There's no doubt the orange was something special. But what came out was stranger.
*As I listened to her read, I snuck a glance at Kenji, who had fallen asleep. I sighed as I reached to wake him up*
*Later, after school, I was on the baseball field, practicing with my team. Sakura was having cheerleading practice not to far away. Two girls from our class are in it with her. Chiharu Mihara (a girl with chestnut-brown hair in braided pigtails, peach skin, & brown eyes) & Naoko Yanagisawa (a girl with brown hair, peach skin, yellow eyes & wears black rimmed glasses). I stood at the plate with my bat ready. The pitcher threw a fast ball at me & I hit it, sending flying over the fence*
Kenji: Home run!
Teammate #2: Awesome, Kinomoto!
Teammate #3: No wonder you're the ace hitter!
Sora: Thanks guys!
Coach: Alright, if you all want to hit as well as Kinomoto, then let's get practicing!
Teammates: Yes, Coach!
*As I watched Kenji & my teammates practice their hits & pitches, I sat on the bench & twirled my bat around with my fingers, kind of like how Sakura does when she practices with her baton*
Sora:*in his mind* I can't stop thinking about that dream. Maybe I should ask Sakura or Tomoyo about it.
*Just then, as the bat went up in the air & was coming down towards me, it changed into the blue, gold, white, & red staff I saw in my dream last night. My eyes went wide as it came down. Then it hit me on the head. Good thing I was wearing a helmet. The only one who noticed that was the coach*
Coach: Kinomoto! Get your head out of the clouds! Focus!
Sora: Yes, sir! Sorry, sir!
*When both of our practices were over, we skated back home*
Sakura: We're home!
*We made our was towards the kitchen, when suddenly, I heard a strange noise. I looked at the door leading to Dad's downstairs library. I noticed Sakura heard it too. We then went to the kitchen & looked at the message board*
Sora: I'll be home at 9. Looks like Dad's gonna be late tonight.
*We then looked into the fridge & saw thee puddings. We were each about to take one, when I heard that strange sound again*
Sakura: D - Did you heard that?
Sora: Yeah. Is someone there?
*Sakura stood behind me, grabbing my arm with one hand & holding her baton in the other, as we walked towards the sound*
*One thing you should know about my sister, she's afraid of ghosts*
*We followed the sound to the door leading to Dad's downstairs library.
Sakura:*whispering* What if it's a robber?
Sora:*whispering* We'll peak inside to be sure & if it is, we'll call the police.
*I opened the door & we peeked inside. We then slowly made our way down the stairs & turned the lights on. We tipped toed through the bookshelves as we got closer & closer. We the quickly turned a corner, only to find no one there*
Sakura: There's no one down here.
Sora: Then what's making that sound?
*We looked around. Just then, we heard a different sound. We slowly turned around & saw one of the books glowing. We started to walk towards it. As Sakura reached for it, it stopped glowing. She then took it off the shelf. As we looked at it, my eyes went wide. It was the book I saw in my dream. Sakura seemed to recognize it too*
Sora: Did you see this book in a dream too?
Sakura: Yeah.
*Just then, the strap on the cover opened. Sakura panicked a little, but soon calmed down. She then opened the book, revealing a stack of cards inside the pages. The side facing us had a picture of a circle with a sun & moon in it. She took one out & flipped it over*
Sora: A card?
*The side now facing us had a picture of a female fairy with hair that is styled high & fell forward into two long strands, wing-like shapes on her forehead, feathered shoulders, & large insect wings. At the bottom of the card, it said . . .*
Sakura: Wind?
Sora: The Windy?
Sakura: That's weird. *we both started to walk towards the door* Wind?
Sora: Windy?
*Suddenly, the card started glowing and then a powerful wind appeared around us. We both screamed. As the wind blew, I held on to Sakura. We then opened our eyes to see the cards fly out of the book & in all directions & then go through the walls & ceiling. As soon as it was over, Sakura dropped the book & we both fell to our knees*
Sakura: What just happened?
Sora: I don't know.
*Suddenly, the book started glowing again. I got in front of Sakura to protect her. Them a small yellow-orange creature that looked like a lion cub with big ears, black eyes, & small white wings came out of the book*
Keroberos: Hidey howdy ho! *we were both shocked at what we were seeing* Wow! Thanks a lot for finally waking me up!
Sakura: Waking you?
Keroberos: Yeah. I've been stuck inside that book for a really long time. It feels good to get out and stretch a bit.
*Just then, Sakura grabbed the creature & look him over*
Sakura: What are you? A squirrel?
Keroberos: Stop that!
Sakura: Some kind of new toy?
Sora: Sakura, stop! You're hurting him!
*The creature got free from her grip*
Keroberos: I'm not a toy! I am the Guardian Beast of the Seal of this book. I am Keroberos!
Sakura: The Seal?
Sora: Keroberos?
Keroberos: Correct. *the book magically stood up & opened* It is my job to protect all the cards from getting into trouble *when he saw that the book was empty, he screamed* Where did they go!? Not here! Not there! Where did all the cards go!?
*Sakura held up the Wind card & handed it to him*
Sakura: Here.
*When he saw the card in her hand, he smiled*
Keroberos: Yes! *he took the card from her* This is a card. Oh thank goodness! Well, where are the others?
*Sakura & I looked nervous*
Sora: Well . . . When we read the word "Windy" . . . *he nodded* This big wind started blowing . . . *he nodded again* And then they all just blew away . . .
Keroberos: Oh, right.
*We all chuckled for a bit, & then he looked crestfallen*
Keroberos: They what!?
*That night, both me & Sakura were rushing to finish dinner (Sakura was wearing yellow beads in her hair, blue Chinese shirt, blue pants, yellow socks & her slippers shoes & I was wearing a white & yellow striped t-shirt, blue shorts, white socks, & my slippers). Touya had come home a while ago*
Sakura: Well, we're done!
*We took our dishes to the sink & then we each took a pudding from the fridge (I took two & Sakura took one). We then left the kitchen*
Touya: Where are you taking those?
Sora: Sakura's room!
Sakura: We'll eat them while we're studying! *we went up to Sakura's room & found Keroberos floating above the book & glowing* Well?
Keroberos: No good. I can't get a sense where any of them are.
*Sakura gave him her pudding*
Sakura: Here.
Keroberos: That looks delicious! But I'm not hungry you see, this book contained the Clow Cards.
Sora: Clow Cards?
Keroberos: They're dangerous. The Clow Cards were a created by an old wizard named Clow Reed. Everyone of the cards has it's own character and is very powerful. They have the ability to take over the word doing whatever they want. Almost nothing can stop them. But luckily, before they could do any damage, Clow Reed managed to capture them. He made the book to keep that cards in and made a special seal and me as the Guardian of that seal. *Sakura & I were both amazed by what we just heard* I've got to get those cards back. And you two are going to help.
Sakura: Why do we have too?
Keroberos: Well, you're the ones who unleashed them when you used the wind spell.
Sora: He has a point.
Keroberos: Thank you.
Sakura: But you told us it was your job to guard the seal and make sure the Clow Cards didn't escape from the book!
Keroberos: Well, I guess I was sleeping.
Sora: For how long?
Cerberus: Thirty years.
*We were both surprised to hear that*
Sakura: And they made you the book's Guardian?
Sora: It's not very professional to sleep on the job.
Keroberos: I was tired! Very tired!
Sakura: So the noise we heard was you snoring.
Keroberos: Yes. But, what's important is that you both could open the book, which means that you two possess magical powers. So, tell me your names.
Sakura: I'm Sakura
Sora: And I'm her twin brother, Sora.
Keroberos: Well, Sora and Sakura, stand over there. *we both stood in front of her desk. just then, Cerberus started to glow again. then Sakura's room was gone & the same circle that was on the back of the Wind card appeared beneath our feet* Key of the Seal. *a tiny ball of light came out of the lock on the book. then the ball split in two* These children will carry out the Sacred Promise. Their names are Sakura and Sora. Key, bestow them with magical powers. Release the powers! *both balls of light started to glow really bright. then, the staffs that were in my dream appeared in front of us. one pink, white, gold, red. the other blue, white, gold, & red* Sakura! Sora! Take the wands! *we both stepped into the circle & took the wands. I took the blue one & Sakura took the pink one* That's it! You both have now become Cardcaptors!
*I looked at my wand in amazement*
Sakura: What!?
*Keroberos was munching happily on the pudding*
*Later, we were both in our pajamas. I had just finished in the bath. I went to Sakura's room & found her drying her hair with the blow dryer*
Sakura: I can't do this! I really can't do it!
Sora: Do what?
Sakura: I can't save the world!
*We both turned to Keroberos, who was bouncing on Sakura's bed*
Keroberos: What a soft bed!
*Sakura went to her bed & grabbed Keroberos, mid-bounce*
Sakura: Hey! I can't be a Cardcaptor, is that clear!?
Keroberos: Cardcaptor. The one who catches the magical cards. Doesn't that sound cool? And your brother is a Cardcaptor too, which makes it twice as cool.
Sakura: We're elementary school students, and we won't be responsible for the date of the world!
*Keroberos took out the Windy Card*
Keroberos: Don't forget, it was your fault for losing the cards in the first place.
Sakura: Well, we wouldn't have if the Guardian hadn't been asleep!
*They both glared at each other*
Sora: Sakura, maybe we should help him find the cards.
*Sakura looked back me as if I had lost my mind*
Sakura: What!? Sora!
Keroberos: See, your brother gets it.
*Sakura glared at him again & turned to me*
Sakura: Sora, we're only in elementary school! We're too young to be saving the world!
Sora: Well, when you think about it, it is our fault that the cards are lose in the world. We should clean up the mess we started. And remember the strong wind that came from the Windy Card? If only one card can do that, think about what would happen if all of them used their power.
Sakura: But - *suddenly, a very strong wind came through the open window* What a strong wind!
*She went to close the window & I went to help her*
Keroberos: Sakura! Sora!
*We look where he was pointing & saw a pale blue bird with a long neck and legs flying over our house*
Sora: What is that!?
Keroberos: It's a Clow Card!
Sakura: What?
Keroberos: That one is the Fly Card.
Sakura: Oh.
Keroberos: Don't just stand there! Move!
Sakura: Do what?
Sora: I think he means go after the card!
Keroberos: Exactly! This will be the first mission of the Cardcaptors!
Sakura: What!?
*We both up on our skates & skated after the bird. It was hard to go fast in this strong wind*
Sakura: Could've at least let us get changed!
Sora: Sakura! There's no time for that!
Keroberos: He's right! The Cardcaptors must be prepared for battle at all times!
*We followed the bird all the way to a shrine*
Sakura: It's so big! We can't catch that!
Keroberos: You're one of the Cardcaptors!
*Then the bird noticed us & went a huge gust of wind at us. I got in front of Sakura to protect her. The wind sent us flying backwards. Keroberos was able to catch both of us by grabbing the back of our pajama shirts. He then set us back down on the ground*
Keroberos: Now use your magic! Like I showed you two! Take out the key and say the spell!
*We both nodded & took out the miniature forms of our wands*
Sakura & Sora: Reveal your secret powers. *the keys started to glow* Reveal your true powers to us! We are Sakura and Sora and we command you! Release!
*The wands grew to their full size*
Keroberos: Ok, you two! The Fly Card belongs to the wind category. You should be able to catch it using the Windy Card.
Sora: Right.
Sakura: Are you sure?
Keroberos: We're going to have to get much closer though.
*Suddenly, the bird took to the sky. It then flew towards is, but we ducked just in time*
Sakura: Oh no! It's coming back!
Keroberos: Quickly! Use the Windy Card! *the bird turned around & came back towards us* Hurry up! It's coming back again! *we tried to skate away, but we just ducked as it flew over us. it then came back around a third time* Come on, you two! Use the Windy Card!
Sora: Here it comes!
*We skated away as the bird came right behind us*
Sakura: I can't do it!
Keroberos: You're one of the Cardcaptors! You can't stop it! On one can!
Sakura: Yeah, but how!
Sora: Sakura! Give me the card! I have an idea!
Sakura: Okay! Here!
*She gave me the card*
Sora: Follow my lead!
*I skated ahead & Sakura followed me*
Keroberos: Sakura! Sora! *the bird sent a blast of wind at Cerberus, sending him flying. meanwhile, I skated up the wall next to me with Sakura right behind me. when we were high enough, we both jumped on to the bird's back & held on tight* Sakura! Sora!
*We held on to the bird's back as I held the Windy Card*
Sakura & Sora: Wind. Form a chain to bind this bird. *I threw the card forward & we got our wand ready* Windy! *we both hit the card at the same time & the Fairy came out of the card. she wrapped herself around the bird's body, causing it to fall to the ground. we then jumped off the bird's back* We are Sakura and Sora, the Cardcaptors, and we command you to return to us now!
*We swung our wands forward & the bird was turned back into a card. Sakura was about to fall to her knees, but I kept her steady*
Sora: Are you okay?
Sakura: Yeah . . .
Keroberos: Hey, good job, you two.
*Sakura then started crying*
Sakura: I thought we were gonna die!
Sora: It's okay, Sakura. We're okay.
*Keroberos patted her head*
Keroberos: Oh, you'll be okay. You're both Cardcaptors.
Sakura: Forget it! I don't want anything to do with this insanity!
Sora: Sakura!
Keroberos: If that was insane wait until you and your brother meet few of the stronger cards. *he started laughing* Well, you two just captured the Fly Card. Why don't you try it out?
Sakura: Well, I guess I wouldn't hurt.
Sora: Let's give it a go.
*We both stood up*
Keroberos: Now that's the spirit!
*We both touched the card with our wands*
Sakura & Sora: Fly!
*Just then, the wings on our wands grew bigger and soon, we were flying through the sky together*
Keroberos: Now isn't that better?
Sakura: Yeah!
Sora: It's just like that movie about the little witch and her delivery service!
Keroberos: You know, the three of us make a great team, Cardcaptor Sakura and Cardcaptor Sora.
Sakura: Yeah!
Sora: You bet!
*The Sakura's smile turned into a frown*
Sakura: I told you, I never agreed to be a Cardcaptor!
Sora: Oh boy.
