Chapter 56: A leisure day?
~Tuesday Afternoon~
Mina and Konnosuke first monitors Aichi's condition if he was doing fine or is actually worse, since although faint they can still feel that the other power knowing that it can surface and out power the other, they can feel it is fighting to get out inside his body, and because of this they make sure to keep in check, and to make sure they make him rest for the rest of the days until school starts.
After they have concluded that Aichi is in normal condition that is the other power is not that much active they have decided that it was time, time for Aichi to get punished.
"Aichi-kun~" Mina called as she slowly walks towards Aichi with Mikazuki who were sitting at the garden.
When Aichi turned to face her, he flinched as he felt the ominous aura around her, what made it even scarier is that she was smiling with Konnosuke on top of her shoulder.
Aichi immediately knew what that look was for as Mikazuki silently looks at Aichi with amusement since he knows that Mina and Konnosuke planned this.
"Will you come with me?~" Mina spoke slowly as if trying to convey something to Aichi, and that is fear for his mistakes.
Mina's smile and aura grew as Aichi pleads for Mikazuki's help, Mina took a step closer as Aichi hurriedly took a hold of Mikazuki's clothes, and moving again closer making Aichi inched closer to Mikazuki.
"Let's go Aichi-kun~" Mina grabs Aichi's shoulders as she drags him away while Aichi tries his best to reach out to Mikazuki for help.
"I'm sorry Aichi-sama… this is for your own good…" Mikazuki looks away with a pained expression as he looked away from Aichi, cue in sparkles as he is poking fun at Aichi.
"Ehhh?" Aichi shouts from afar understanding that Mikazuki was in this plan.
~Evening~
In the evening all the toudans as they usually do spend their time in the garden for a cold night breeze before heading to their sleep, that is when curiosity got to them at where could be the Tachi who loves to drink tea and just sit around here is still not around the area which that certain Tachi would always be the first and sit at the veranda, drinking a nice hot tea while enjoying the scenery.
And as their curiosity grew finally the Tachi in question came into vision as they noticed within his arms there lies a knocked out Aichi.
"E-ehhh?! Aichi-sama?!" Kiyomitsu stumbled as he hurried to check out the knocked out Aichi in Mikazuki's arms, while the others decided to wait on what will Mikazuki do next.
Though what surprised them is that Mikazuki placed Aichi near a pole and let him sit near it and leans Aichi on it as he proceeded to sit beside him to support him if ever he moves and falls. Looking at his knocked out face Mikazuki can't help but chuckle at the sight in front of him.
"W-what happened to him?" Yasusada hesitantly asked.
"Ahahaha…" This time Mikazuki can't help but burst out laughing earning him a few sweat drops on the others "He got more than scolding."
"M-more than scolding…" Miwa stuttered as he felt all his blood drain.
"That can only mean…" Hasebe added as he too felt all his blood drain, the two of them paled. Because of this they already got an idea of what has befallen their beloved master.
"H-he got punished?" Mutsunokami has experienced it but not to the extent of what Hasebe and especially Miwa had experienced.
Mikazuki smiles his normal carefree smile to them as he nodded in answer to their question as they all somewhat feel bad.
"I seriously thought that Mina-nee would spoil Aichi-sama." Midare spoke in shock at what they just found out.
"Aichi-sama has it coming." Shokudaikiri made a point for everyone.
"He should be so he could learn his lesson." Tsurumaru smiled at the thought which he does also have a point but they all thought the same that those words just came from him.
But then the others notice the closest to them, Taroutachi and Nikkari, who seem to be playing with a white bubble coming out of Aichi.
"T-that's dangerous…" Gokotai worries as the bubble looks fragile.
While still playing around even with the others warning not to touch it Taroutachi stopped but it did not stop Nikkari until finally the bubble pop and everyone froze because of it, after noticing that Aichi isn't moving, panic ensues.
Until "Ah!" Aichi finally gained consciousness making some of the toudans jump in surprise.
"Are … you alright? Aichi-sama?" Nikkari was first to ask since he was the guiltiest of all.
As they noticed Aichi calming down and then suddenly become pale "It was… terrifying…" was all he could say somehow the others could only stare at him and then Mikazuki started laughing because of this the others can't help but follow "Ha ha ha ha ha. Brilliant, brilliant."
~Thursday -Garden-~
Mina and Konnosuke told them that starting Thursday until this coming Saturday there will be no work or training since today is Aichi's last four days before his school starts, the guardians were given days to also prepare for their coming back to school, although they were training the past days, Aichi was as always told to rest hence he was able to finish most of the batches of the clothes for the five new toudans.
Since there were five he was having a hard time finishing them, he was not even at the half of what he wants to finish. He sighs as he decided to take a break at the garden today from making them.
While doing so he decided to make a list of things he had used up from making the materials of the five "I'm out of materials…" he spoke as he sighs after.
"Materials?" Tsurumaru spoke who was in front of him as he heard his master worrying over something.
"Yeah… I used up all the materials from making their clothes, I also need to find the print I saw for Hachisuka." He sighs while he hands over the list to Tsurumaru.
"Uwah… this many?" Tsurumaru smiles as he raised a brow to him, Aichi answered to his question by nodding "Is that why you are here because you can't make them?" he handed back the list to Aichi.
"Part of the reason." He holds out his hands to receive the paper "I'm also here to take a break."
Everyone gathered at the garden peacefully and relaxing their day, as their conversation finished he looked for Kasen as he noticed he was with Hachisuka and with them are Taroutachi and Hakata they seem to be conversing on serious things he thought, his gaze changed to Ookurikara who was with Shokudaikiri and Tsurumaru in front of him who is somehow looking more approachable than before, Souza sitting with them as he watches Sayo and the other Tantous play excluding Yagen who is only watching them, while Izuminokami looks to be arguing with Yasusada and Kiyomitsu again, seeing this sight he let out a light chuckle.
How he wished that there is no battle included and have met them the normal way but alas there was no way that would happen, since if it wasn't even because of that Aichi wouldn't even think of doing such thing, because of this thought he frowns. The Tachi beside him silently watches over him.
"By the way Aichi-sama!" Hasebe sprung out as he surprised Aichi making him jump.
"Hey that's my job." Tsurumaru raised a brow because he was able to surprise Aichi.
"How is your injury?" Hasebe asked in worry as the others stopped from what they were doing and listened to his answer even the three new swords were curious about it.
"Well… it's about more than a week, the injury is healing quite faster also because of Yagen's ointments." Aichi answered as Yagen made his way to them to help him further explain.
"The wound is almost finished in its scabbing process and it's in the scaring phase and I'm placing an ointment on it so that it won't end up to a scar." Yagen explained for him as he looked satisfied with it.
While the others continue on to what they were previously doing Aichi took notice of Mina's expression she is staring off to the distance even though he can easily understand that it was Yasusada who she is looking at, but then just after that he notice her sigh.
Thinking that it might because of the somewhat issue with Yasusada Aichi stood up as he closes the distance between them and ask her in a whisper "Is something the matter with Yasusada?"
Mina somehow surprised at his question looks all around before she answers "Somewhat…" she said.
"If it's alright with you… can you tell me what is it about?" Aichi asked trying to at least help her that is if he can help her.
"For now…" she sighs again "I will be keeping a close observation…" she finished.
But it was too vague of an answer for him so he did not understand what it meant because of that the only thing he could say is "I hope you find your answer faster."
Mina nods "Yeah, thanks…" as she continues again in her own world she stares of to him once again.
Noticing that she is not herself, Aichi remembers something that he thinks could help her as a refreshment "Mina-nee!" Aichi called out Mina's attention back "I'm going out to buy the materials that I am out…" He started as he showed up a list to Mina which consists of the materials he will need "Would you like to come with me?"
Somehow Mina's spirit were brought back at hearing the word buying which could only mean shopping "Okay!" Mina's eye shine and glitter as Aichi smiles at the expression he is seeing to her, well she is a female after all.
~Entrance~
Since they were all at the garden all they have to do was take a peek at what is happening in the garden but there is someone who is making a fuss back there but Aichi, Mina, and Tsurumaru with Konnosuke on his should heed it no mind, but Aichi somewhat can't help but sweat at what is happening so he did mind it.
"So we are going with Nikkari…" She pointed at Nikkari who were with them.
"Heh, did you bring me here with you on purpose?" Nikkari smiles as he raised both his shoulders for a moment.
"Mutsunokami…" She pointed to Mutsunokami next.
"If it's a business talk, leave it to me." He laughs after.
"And… Mikazuki…" She points at Mikazuki with her expression bents pointing at the reason why there was a fuss behind.
He nonchalantly smiles "Nn, I don't have much of an idea about shops." At this point Mikazuki is embracing Aichi from behind as his chin is resting on top of Aichi's head, which the reason of the commotion behind is Kiyomitsu with Izuminokami, Yasusada, and Horikawa trying to prevent trouble and calming him down.
Mina can only sigh at the sight in front of her "Well… that's that, so let's go?"
Aichi nodded in response as he can't help but sweat more at the sight as he said "I'll leave everything to you Tsurumaru."
Tsurumaru closes his eyes as he places both his hands to his hips "I'm surprised I am the attendant now but, I shall bring you surprising results." As he lunged forward and then backwards as he points at himself.
"Alright then… We'll be going then." Mikazuki pulls away as they started heading out, Aichi wave goodbye as they started to leave, most them returns the wave as they all said their see you later and have a safe trip.
~Shopping district~
The three swords that is with them said their wows and their fascinated and surprised expression is etched on their faces, as did Mina as she looks at every store as if ready for battle.
"Alright first we go and buy the materials you will need and then do what we like!" Mina raised her hands while pointing at the shop "And then if all set we will send it back to the citadel." Mina's eyes shines like a child.
"Now this is what I call a huge change!" Mutsunokami like Mina is like a child looking around at all the shops that they are passing by, what made it more worrisome and extreme is that he goes near the shop and almost accidentally always bumps in the glass walls of the shop.
"Ooohhh!" Mutsunokami shouts as he raced through a certain shop that sells all kinds of toys, and one that he took fancy is the water guns and toy guns, because of that…
As Aichi took notice of it, he hurries to try and warn him "M-Mutsunokami wait you'll bu-" but alas with a loud bang Mikazuki and Nikkari were amazed even Mutsunokami who just hurt his face when he slammed on the glass.
And instead of even getting hurt he was amazed with Nikkari and Mikazuki "oohhh! Aichi-sama what is this invisible wall that is preventing us from entering this place!" Mutsunokami places his two hands as if wiping the whole glass while looking at him with Nikkari and Mikazuki also in amazement as they wait for his response.
Mina could only sigh while Aichi nervously laughed at the scene "It's called a glass it is a way for us to see what is inside and what they sell, there is an entrance over here…" Aichi move to where the entrance of the door is and pointed it "Do you three want to browse inside?" Aichi smiles as the three nodded in delight and astonishment on their faces.
After giving them one chance of looking into the store they finally headed to shops where Aichi can buy his materials.
"I knew it was many but I didn't think it was this many…" Mina stares at the abundant materials that Aichi bought while emphasizing the word this many.
"There were five at once after all…" Nikkari started as he too stared at the abundance of the materials.
"Aichi-sama likes to try others things, that is maybe why he brought other more." Mikazuki smiles at the materials.
Aichi became flustered as he start fiddling with his index fingers as he looks away "W-well I just want to make sure I have materials if I ever have a new sword to make…"
Mina stares at him as she raised a brow at him "Which is months away…" Aichi slumps down remembering that he is banned from making one until further notice, noticing this she sighs "Alright, let's get it ready for delivery."
After their mission of buying Aichi's materials, it is now their time for leisure but before that they headed for lunch!
~Mall~
While looking around Aichi noticed the three toudans behind them as he noticed that they are having fun looking around at things and having a serious talk about it but at the same time looks like they were at a loss he chuckles but it instantly went away as seeing this scene he really wish they met them the normal way.
Then while the three were on their own world Mina notices the stares from people "They sure does stand out…" Mina smiles "Aside from the fact that they look like lost children their facial features is what added to their uniqueness." They look at the people who noticed them as if they want to either approach them or want them.
While looking around Aichi noticed a dress in front of him since they were at the female's section of a mall looking for Mina's outfits "I wonder if Midare would like this…" Aichi stares at the pink long sleeves dress with a white bow at the collar with white fur on the edges of the dress with pleats on the waist.
"Nice pick Aichi-kun, he would love it." Mina said as she took notice of Aichi's choices in clothing "Oh do you want to buy it for him?"
"I want to but if I just buy for him…" Aichi said as he frowns looking at the outfits.
"Then why not just buy for everyone?" Mina suggested.
"But, I'm afraid-" Mina stops Aichi before he finishes.
"We used the money from citadel for buying for the materials, right?" Mina asked as she waits for his response which he nodded to "Then you do know that Hakata and I are helping out to increase our money, right?" Aichi nods again "Then you know that we have enough right?" Aichi frowns making Mina sigh.
"You have your own allowance and money right?" Aichi nodded "Why don't you use that? We used the money of the citadel for the materials since it is for the use of the citadel also, then why don't you use your own money for them?" Aichi decided to keep silent.
"You are thinking twice with the money you have right?" Mina smiles at him "I can already see in your face that you don't know the value of the money you have."
Mina looks around then as she saw what she needed "Nikkari, Mutsunokami, Mikazuki, come!" Mina calls the three as she drags Aichi to somewhere while the three followed suit.
~After a while~
After their exchange of money "See… you clearly don't know the value of the money you have." Aichi right now has a blank and shocked expression on him.
"You didn't think it would make it to be like that right?" Mina has a self-satisfied expression right now "I know that you have a separate allowance that is given by the Government of Time, the ones Kon-san gave you in additional when he came, and the ones Kon-san made you hide for your own times of need from the UTC. With those I'm sure enough you have about half of what the citadel has, since we didn't use all of them yet." Mina chuckled since Aichi lets Mina and Konnosuke manage it with Hakata's help, Aichi clearly has yet any idea of how the money they get goes around, he will get there but one by one he will be learning everything he needs to manage it.
"So are you ready? I will help you choose!" Mina's eyes shine once more as she is ecstatic on what Aichi wants to do.
Aichi nodded as they go to a shopping spree, thankfully Aichi already has the sizes of the toudans memorized and with him since he is buying materials he has with him his trustee meter if ever he will be needing it. While searching for clothes they made sure not to show the three what they were buying for them and what they are buying those for, as the three toudans could only be the ones who are keeping hold of their shopping.
~At the food court~
And then finally at a food court the three toudans who did nothing but only to carry heavy stuff were finally able to breathe and rest since the clothes that Mina and Aichi purchased were already at the delivery place as they were now very tired.
"It was a good thing that we decided to come here earlier." Mina is already tired too moving sluggish as she plays with her drink "Well I'm going with the delivery so that they could head there so they do not get lost. Are you guys going to stay here for a while?" Mina and Aichi looks at the unmoving three toudans beside Aichi as they were unresponsive they got their answer "I guess you are going to stay here for a while huh…" Since they need more rest.
Mina stands up from her seat "I'll be seeing you back at the citadel then." The three toudans tried their best to say goodbye as they stutter and tremble making Mina and Aichi laugh at the sight.
"See you later." Aichi waves goodbye as he watches Mina leave.
~At the park~
Aichi patiently waited for them to recover and it took them a while before they were able to go back home, he called Mina for a heads up that they are going to be late, and because the three are still a little weak their progress were slow.
"We're sorry Aichi-sama…" Nikkari apologized while walking next to him.
Aichi simply shook his head "No, its fine, we were the ones who made you three do all those so you ended up like this."
"But, this sure is a nice experience 'ya know." Mutsunokami, although tired looks like he is getting his strength back than the other two.
The people around them are leaving them behind although they were not that slow but people can surely see that they are taking a while.
Noticing where they are Aichi stops on his tracks as the three stops waiting for the reason why "Oh… there is a park here, do you want to take a rest?" Aichi asks them but there are two reasons for this, one is it so that they can really rest and two it is so that he could somehow reminisce at this certain place, the place where they met for the first time.
Mikazuki noticing this fleeting feelings from Aichi "It's best if we head back earlier and then take a rest." He advised.
"I agree Aichi-sama it's much better so that we don't have to stop." Nikkari added.
"There are few people too, and it's deep into the night." Mutsunokami argued.
Aichi frowns as he felt ashamed of his thoughts "Alright, let's head home." He bitterly smiles at the three, as they started walking back.
In an instance just when they have started walking again Mikazuki hastily places a hand in front of Aichi stopping him from moving forward, surprising Aichi, Nikkari, and Mutsunokami.
Nikkari and Mutsunokami noticing the serious expression and his actions they also stopped and prepare for what is coming, and they were right without a moment's notice something came flying towards them Mikazuki hastily carried Aichi in his arms as the three of them jumps away to dodge the danger.
The people who were walking by shouted and ran in panic as they saw something come flying by and hits the ground at full speed creating smokes and flying debris.
"W-what just happened?!" Aichi asks in panic as they landed successfully on their feet feeling the presence of the enemy Aichi freezes as he clenches onto Mikazuki's clothes "H-how?!"
"I want to ask the same question as you…" Mikazuki said as he placed Aichi down but he didn't leave his side.
When the smoke disappears it finally revealed what was aiming at them were swords that is enveloped with blue lightning, but then another wave of unidentified object rained down on them separating the three of them.
As the raining of unidentified objects stops, it is revealed that they were also swords engulfed with either green or blue lightning. As they stare at it stunned a voice said "Finally other nuisance are gone, they won't detect and know as long as I break you and take you."
With that with a snap of a finger sound the swords with different sizes showed themselves to be the History Retrograding Force.
