Chapter 10

Some Discoveres

The days passed and the weather improved a little, rewarding them with a Tuesday that promised to be radiant and beautiful, Elizabeth woke up early as she used to, using her magic, got dressed and left the house, only the servants were awake, Mrs. Hill like every day in the mornings she gave her a freshly baked bread with jam, Elizabeth rewarded her with a smile and as soon as she stepped out of the doorway she transformed into a beautiful brown wolf and began a brisk trot.

As they had agreed at dawn, Elizabeth was waiting in the great elm tree that bordered Netherfield, he was flying in his eagle form to meet her, Darcy saw her there in the great tree lying down, she seemed like the Celtic Druid herself, almost one with nature and resplendent with vitality, she looked beautiful, radiant, _She is magnificent_ he thought.

She looked up at the one who was transforming before her eyes taking human form

_Good morning Miss_

––Good morning Sir– she replied cautiously

–– I guess this is not the place to practice, it's quite exposed––

She shook her head ––follow me please––

To wherever you want_ he thought with a certain longing, that longing that he still could not channel, he allowed himself to be guided and he supposed she would take him to that magical construction that he had seen before, and that was it, trying to talk Darcy ask her–– Had you finished reading––

––Yes Sir, but I have difficulty with some spells, I understand them but I don't know how to pronounce them properly––

––I understand – he whispered

A little uncomfortable having to admit what could be considered a lack of training, she continues ––I can read French but I'm not very good at speaking––

––Don't worry, it's a matter of practice, is it other thing difficult for you? – he said without giving it much importance

––Uhmmm, I think I still can't keep them, I barely manage to materialize them––they arrived at the place and he looked at it with interest

––Interesting place–– it was a kind of hall and it had a part that looked like a laboratory, and many pots with small plants

––My father built it for us, I'm the one who uses it the most, however that belongs to Mary and Jane– she said pointing first to the boilers and then to the pots

He nodded and took off his coat––Shall we start? - He asks

Immediately she began to pronounce some spells and he repeated to her, so that she would improve those that she still did not handle the pronunciation well, while she improved the pronunciation, small magical beings appeared before her, or wind eddies were formed, protective shields, among others without However, it was as she had pointed out they were not maintained. some time passed and she began to get frustrated ––Oh hell, you see they don't stay––

––I can see it, that means you don't control your emotions, magic flows from you, feeds on you, if you want to form a magical being, perform a spell, whatever you do will be as strong or weak as you––

she made a face, - He was calling her weak- she thought

––You must concentrate on what you want to create or do and send your physical and mental energy, allow me–– He approached her, took her bare hand to show firmness –– Since you are going to launch it, you must give it strength... luminus.. ..–– he said firmly pushing his hand together, and in her hand a halo of light flowed that then filled the place, they both looked at it, and he unconsciously sniffed her aroma that intoxicated him with her closeness, He longed for more of her touch and tasted his lips, when he perceived his action he immediately moved away and undid the spell ––Your turn–– he said with a hoarse voice, while shaking his hand that felt as if it was burning him

She did not perceive anything of his actions because she was seeing the halo of light, although she felt disconcerted, she did not know if it was the touch of his hand or the beauty of the spell, but something disconcerted her, she tried to concentrate and began to cast spells once again, some managed to keep others not.

he walked away and stopped looking at her for a while, - what happened to me, why he had done that, control yourself... he remembered the words of his cousin Richard, "it is not possible that your sense of smell has never awakened in you the visceral instinct of having a female" No, no, this wasn't happening, no instinct, he was a gentleman, and she was... she was... Enough- He said to himself and sat down trying to calm down, but his gaze returned to her, He watched her in detail

She felt the power of his gaze and that began to make her nervous, she began to fail in the spells, despite insisting she could not concentrate before that gaze

––Stop looking at me–– She exclaims

––How do you want me to correct you if I don't see you? – he said with a small smile

––It's serious, sir, you should stop looking at me– she said once again

He got up and approached, making her even more nervous ––Does it make you lose concentration when I look at you? – He said in a hoarse whisper very close to her, which sent a current throughout her body

––I'm not Miss Bingley- she said to get out of the situation, she didn't know how to act

She immediately took him out of the place with that comment ––That's obvious–– He said dryly, he abruptly separated, he had to leave, it was for the best, he couldn't control himself ––That's enough for today, miss, -I left you to concentrate–– He said Bowing tensely, he lifted his coat and left without further ado.

He left her there confused and exalted, what was all that ... Oh insufferable man….- she was annoyed, once again with the pompous Mr. Darcy.

That morning Elizabeth met a little late at the family breakfast, no one was much surprised, everyone's surprise was actually announced in the middle of breakfast the arrival of William Collins everyone was a little surprised especially when Mr. Bennet made him pass

––Good morning dear family Sorry to interrupt breakfast please continue. Dear Cousin Bennet, I introduce myself William Collins - he said smiling and agreeing

––Collins- Bennet said seriously and somewhat annoyed

––Dear cousin, I know you were expecting my arrival in the following days, but I managed to resolve my issues promptly, so I decided not to wait any longer to meet you and my dear cousins– he said, making a kind gesture with his head.

––I see–said Bennett, Collins kept a little silence and looked around waiting to be invited to the table but his anxiety was noticeable, Bennett decided to be nice and said ––I guess I have to say Welcome to Longbourn, here my wife Francis and my daughters if you haven't had breakfast please take a seat. ––

Collins did not wait to be invited again and as he sat down he said ––Thank you dear cousin–– he looked at the table and also at the ladies as they handed him a plate and utensils.

Everyone looked at the newcomer with curiosity but surprisingly no one said anything yet, Elizabeth and Mary could see that their father did not feel comfortable with the visitor, Mrs. Bennet looked at him suspiciously, however she said –– Mr. Collins, I hope you had a comfortable trip for how long do you plan to visit us––

––My dear lady, yes, the weather has been pleasant, thank you for asking, and I hope to visit you in a fortnight or a month, she considered it a prudent time to meet you and strengthen our family ties as well as admire my beautiful cousins––

Several eyes widened at the statement and giggles were heard, however Bennet frowned and said, _How interesting and prudent of you. -

––It is the will of our dear Oliver, who recommended me to close the gap in our families, thus strengthening the heritage and the Bennett house, that is why I have come to extend an olive branch with the hope that it will become a firm tree – continued Collins

The girls in general were between amazed and amused at this eloquent being and remained silent, even Mrs. Bennet did not know how to answer him, words more words less term introducing her daughters and barely one article or another. Collins talked as much as he ate, plenty of it, and hardly needed an interlocutor because he listened little, speaking firmly as if giving a sermon, doling out flattery to ladies in general, but carefully detailing what he saw.

Collins's abrupt arrival caught the Bennets off guard. All the girls were in their natural essence, without any spell that modified their magical quality. He talked and ate while carefully observing each one of them, Collins might not be a great magician, but he was an excellent appraiser of people as well as objects.

He is doing a mental classification in detail each of the Bennet girls:

-The youngest was undoubtedly a magical creature with a surprising beauty but too giggly which showed a lot of flirtatiousness,

-The other youngest was also a pretty magical creature and less giggly seemed to be the Healers of the Bennet.

The older ones possessed the best qualities, -Mary was a multimage, she had more similarity to Elizabeth than any of her other sisters, she also displayed a strong aura which probably made her superior to him,

But without a doubt the two older ones were where she landed her eyes, Elizabeth or Jane definitely one of them would be his wife he decided almost immediately,

-Jane was extremely beautiful, she had a delicacy that made her stand out from her sisters she was a magical fairy,

-Elizabeth whose beauty was totally different from Jane's, she looked more confident, determined and strong, she was a Hilmen.

After breakfast Collins decided to retire for a while to rest and then met with Mr. Bennet in his library, what was announced was as it was, Collins hoped to fall in Bennett's favor, he showed himself to him as: knowledgeable and skillful in the management of properties of the new patrimony in charge of Bennet, clearly had been formed by his grandfather Oliver, he also reported that he had been under the wing of the most illustrious Lady Catherine de Bourgh when he spent a year in Kent in the rectory and still had good ties with the lady, worthy and intelligent man with the purpose of looking among the Bennets for a wife, all for the good of the Bennet household; it was evident he believed himself the best match for them.

However, Thomas Bennet made it quite clear to him that only if any of his daughters were interested in marrying him could such a commitment be established and have his blessing, such a fact did not please Collins that now he would have to win over one of them instead of just pick them. He knew that his cousin would not be easy to manipulate.

In the afternoon a brief conversation occurred between Collins and Mrs. Bennet, she knew that he was Bennet's possible heir, she wanted to push him away but she was aware that she could be in the hands of this man if something happened to her husband, Collins told him he expressed interest in meeting his daughters he considered winning over the eldest, however he was disappointed, Mrs. Bennet saw the possibility of gaining the permission of this man and turned his attentions towards the second of her daughters, Lizzie might not be his favorite but she knew she was smart and could handle this man for all of them.

Mrs. Bennet was satisfied, and was confident that she would soon have two married daughters. The man she previously didn't want to hear about suddenly became the object of her highest esteem. Collins was grateful and pleased with the conversation with Mrs. Bennet, for although Jane was charming, he knew that it was Elizabeth who could safely have Hilmen offspring, which made her perfect for his plans.

Collins discovered that day that his grandfather's advice was correct. Marrying the one with the greatest magical quality of his cousins would guarantee him to be the holder of the magical house, since his offspring would surely be the next to inherit what would ensure his future.

Elizabeth discovered that men could be quite self-centered, and even narcissistic. Darcy discovered that Miss Bennet awakened his whole being like no other and being around her was becoming too pleasant for him, he had to be careful.
