It was time for the happy couple to be reinstated back into society again. They had been in his own little bubble away from the world around him for a few days now, ever since Naruto's grandfather told them about the prophecy. Sasuke reached out to Shizune to schedule an appointment so he could find out and also so he could know how far along Naruto was with learning about the Kyuubi.

"I don't wanna go," pouted Naruto. The last thing he wanted was to be probed and prodded.

"Well, we are going."

"I don't feel good... Can we go tomorrow?"

"Nope, that's not a feasible excuse. So, it just makes more sense for me to go and fetch her myself! Obviously, you won't move an inch off your butt..." He left the room that they shared heading to Shizune's office. Once he was gone Naruto decided to raid the fridge again. He poked his head out of the room door making sure the coast was clear.

"Kyaa! I heard the good news." Beamed Mikoto.

"Oi, who told you?" He was not surprised nothing stayed secret anymore.

"Sasuke of course," She smiled.

He sighed a little annoyed Sasuke could have waited until after the appointment or given him a little more grace period.

"I can't believe it! I'm going to have four grandbabies!" She held up her fingers for emphasis. "Aw, the gods have blessed my family with such good fortune!" She was on cloud nine.

"Oh no... not four, just three." If there was a fourth one, he might just lose his mind and Naruto was sure his grandfather said three.

"Huh?" She tilted her head to the side her dark brows coming together.

"I'm having just three." He muttered.

"I know that, silly." She said in a matter-of-fact manner.

"Okay?" He didn't want to argue and was about to turn and head back to his room maybe get a nap before the appointment.

"Oh! Sasuke he... He didn't tell you, did he?" She placed a hand on her chest as if shocked.

"Oi, tell me what?" He just wanted to eat why was she still talking? But he remembered his matters this was his mother-in-law after all.

"Sakura is pregnant also. I thought he told you-"

"Wha..." He knew Sakura was pregnant but what did that have to... His mind connecting all the dots is why she showed up on the wedding night.

"Yeah, turns out they had a little love affair, before the both of you were matched of course."

"Whaa..." He felt a rush of heat climbing to his ears

"I don't understand why he'd keep that from you. It's no secret, and it's not like they are still together... hmmm." There was a sprinkle in those dark pools as she looked at him curiously.

"Whaa..." His throat felt dry.

"Kyaa, are you alright dear you're turning purple it's not my grandbabies, is it?" She went to grab him but-

While she spun her web Naruto slowly started to back away running into the dining table. "Oi, is it hot in here? I need... I need some fresh air." Though he looked at her he wasn't really... Those blue pools were staring at a certain spot on her forehead. His mind was moving a million miles a minute.

In response, he fled the Uchiha residence as if it were on fire, following the only instructions from his body. With labored breath, he kept running. As he ran, the familiar sting of tears came over him. This whole time he thought that everything would be okay and now he finds out that Sasuke was the father this whole time...

I'm so fucking stupid. I should have known! Got dammit! He stopped falling to his knees and repeatedly slamming his fist again the ground, each hit more tears came pouring out. He felt stupid Slam! He felt betrayed Slam! It was all a lie Slam!

"You alright?" Kiba asked in a confused tone.

"Leave me be!" He roared. Thus causing Kiba and his faithful friend Akamaru to run for their lives. Even after his threats, the interest he generated made people reluctant to leave.

/I can't control it/ He whimpered. This pain was all mental but it physically hurt this particular pain pierced straight to the bone. He sniffled.

The blonde nodded, allowing himself to be pulled in and allowing his grandfather to take over.

When those blue pools opened, he was calm and collected climbing to his feet. Kurama dusted himself off; this was an opportunity to take his grandchild and great-grandchildren to the Hokage woman this instance while he still had control. He could feel their pain. Human, he would never understand them; the crowd was confused by the sudden change of demeanor. It was strange being in a human body and walking upright.

As Sasuke returned home with a more than thrilled Shizune in toe She was no midwife but she was excited to sense the baby's chakra signatures. Triplets were rare He saw his mother sitting in the living room her legs crossed and she was sipping on tea.

He started to head in the direction of his room but was stopped by his mother's calm words.

"He's not here."

"What do you mean not here?" Though his voice was monotone there was a coldness about it.

"He left in such a hurry." Sasuke just stood there his brows coming together.

"What did you say to him?" There was that anger.

She met his gaze. "I told him the truth." He stood there frozen by her words as realization sank in. "You didn't!"

"He needed to know Sasuke! He needed to know!" She called after her son's retreating back as he left Shizune looking baffled, Mikoto lifted her glass in a toast-like gesture; however, Shizune spun around without acknowledging the offer and trailed after him.

He fled without knowing where Naruto had gone before taking an abrupt stop closing his eyes he tried to see if he could sense the blonde. Mmm, that way! His eye snapped open.

He was able to intersect the blonde, blocking him from progressing forward. At first, Naruto seemed different there was no screaming he was expecting to get hit or attacked instead the blonde cocked a brow.

"Well?"

He was caught off guard. "You're blocking my way, so I'm assuming you have something to say."

He dismissed the alarming sensation that something was off. "It's about what my mother said."

"Yes, so you did get that Sakura female pregnant?"

His eyes narrowed wait for a second... "Am I talking to-"

"-Yes," He gave a toothy grin.

"Where is he?" It was the first time he had ever come face to face with his in-law, but there is always a first time.

Kurama was uninterested in the situation, but he seemed to amuse himself by entertaining Naruto's companion. He could have easily taken their life, yet that would cause more damage than good.

"He's here. I'm taking care of him."

"I was going to tell him..."

"He can hear you." His blue eyes rolled in the back of his head as if he heard a silent melody, and then they opened again.

"He said why didn't you?"

"Honestly, I forgot and Rin said I had nothing to worry about she was going to take care of the rumor." He silently cursed if he played devil's advocate it did seem suspicious.

"He wants to know why Sakura would go through all the trouble if it was a lie."

"I don't know."

"He isn't convinced by you; however, I cannot perceive falsity perhaps my grandson will enter the picture though we both know how inflexible he could be." His grandson was done talking and so he commenced his walk towards the Hokage tower, yet halted when a raven grasped his arm.

"Naru' please..." Though the blonde's eyes narrowed at him he smirked.

"To show that you are not liable, it is advisable to use the same tactics as your accuser and return the favor."

Kurama pulled from the raven continuing his journey to the Hokage office. Sasuke just stood there he didn't know what came over him but he'd survived the encounter. How was he going to get Sakura to confess?

"I will prove it to you! You hear me! I won't stop!"

It was later that evening Mikoto was startled by her son's arrival. He slammed the door so hard.

"You happy now?" He threw the paperwork in front of her feet.

"He went to the Hokage demanding an audience with Rin and the village elders. He brought further the accusations. Now I have thirty days to respond to the annulment of this marriage."

She hid her feelings well, "I didn't want this." They locked eyes but didn't exchange further words. By the time she inflicted the damage, it had already been done.
