Grimm Dreams (this story) was an idea I have had for a long time since a oc I made. Like "Forgiveness" (the one before this) I hope you guys like this one

Kuroyuri was burning

Everyone was burning

"An! Go! Now!" Li Ren yelled to his wife as he drew his bow again. Arrows screamed as they flew through the air and ripped through dark creature after dark creature. He had to protect the with the other huntsmen. He knew since the walls were gone that he probably wouldn't survive but if his family did he would die happily

He didn't even scream as his heart was ripped out by the Nuckelavee Grimm. If only he saw that it went straight in the direction of his family

"C'mon kids! Just a few more minutes" An Ren said between panting. She was exhausted, the kids were exhausted, the Grimm weren't exhausted but they just had to run to the bunkers. Even underground the bunkers had weapons and food and things to get them happy

"Nora! Put me down!" An took a glance back and actually chuckled. What she saw were her 2 children. Lie Ren and Nora Valkryie. The latter was carrying the former and nearly outrunning An herself. While Nora may not be her biological daughter she still cared for her all the same. Her husband even cared and trained her like she was his own

Finally she saw Nora put down Lie and let him run together with her. An smiled at that. She found it quite cute. An slowed down slightly to look around for other survivors to help get out of the falling village but sadly no other person was found

But that was okay! As bad as it was long as long as An could save her children she would be happy. An knew her husband was probably dead but he had given his life to save her and his children so she was gonna get them out of her

As much as their situation was bad An was hopeful. The gate was getting closer as they ran. She and her children were so close to live and see the ne-

An didn't even have time to scream as she felt something massive hit her back and smash her into a wall. She was lucid enough to hear her children scream but not lucid enough to stay awake and tell them to run

Ren stared. His breathing quickening. He could feel Nora hold onto him tighter. He could feel both their heart rate quicken very drastically. What he had just seen would probably be imprinted in his retina

The Nuckelavee had just ran through a building, the horse head slamming into his mother's back and launch her towards a ruined part of the wall. A sickening crunch coming from her but strangely she wasn't dead. Instead of going to finish the job the Grimm began to reach for its back and started to pull out countless sharp rocks from between its flesh and bone plates. It just needed to get rid of those and it could move at full capacity again

It being distracted gave the children enough time to hide. Even after what they just witnessed they knew that their mother wanted them to run and be free but they needed to somehow outmanoeuvre this massive Grimm that could destroy buildings easily after it just massively wounded their mom

"Sssshhhhh Nora it's walking again" Ren whispered to snivelling Nora. He was distraught too but somehow he wasn't at the verge of crying. It confused the little boy greatly. Normally he would cry too after seeing that but he just couldn't bring himself for some reason, like something was helping him stay calm. Slowly he began to concentrate and feel the power that was stopping him from freaking out. It felt strange but he didn't care

"My semblance?" Ren whispered to himself. He didn't even have time to appreciate his semblance awakening before he had to try and experiment with it. Slowly he began to try and push this energy that was his semblance towards Nora, helping to help her calm down too so that the Grimm wouldn't find them

Nora was surprised at first. She didn't want to cry even if she was still sad. Like she just calmed down all out of nowhere. It was strange and made her even more put on edge but once she saw Ren's concentrated face she couldn't help but smile. She realised silently that Ren had finally unlocked his semblance and she couldn't help but be happy

Her happiness and smile were dashed once she heard Ren grunt and the roar of the Nuckelavee. The Grimm had finally started to actually hunt them and the only thing that was keeping them from being immediately found was Ren's semblance

The Grimm's hooves boomed with each step they took. The kids could see the beast walk around, looking confused but hungry for the survivors it knew were around. It's arms dragging across the ground while both heads grunted from irritation. How could it not find these survivors! It should've been so easy to find terrified children!

It looked around more and more and grew more frustrated. Where are they! The Grimm turn to look up and let out a loud roar of irritation. It was about to go and find a place to rest till it saw it. A definitive hint to the beast

A trembling hand. Maybe they weren't hiding as well as they thought

The Grimm ran towards the survivors. Getting its confirmation by the scream coming from where it saw the hand. It had finally sated it's hung-

Nora and Ren were screaming and hugging each other. When the Nuckelavee turned to them and began to run they were frozen to their spot. The only thing they could do was hold each other in what they thought would be their final moments

But as seconds went by they were strangely fine. They could still feel each other and they weren't bleeding. Honestly they were surprised but happy. However when they looked over to see their saviour they were even more scared

What they saw was even scarier than the nuckaleeve

What they saw was the carcass of the nuckaleeve, impaled by a giant cleaver that was being dragged out of the body by a Titan of a humanoid Grimm. It's hands, forearms, head and everything under the knees was made out of bone plating to look like the vambrace, greaves and helmet of a knight while the rest of it's body was completely black

And it was staring directly at Ren and Nora. They didn't stay awake for long after they noticed that fact

"Doctor Merlot" A deep voice came from the helmet of the giant humanoid. As the voice said the name of the doctor a bright blue spot lit up on the Grimm's left wrist

"I am listening Brutus, what's the status?" A voice coming from the Grimm's wrist responded. Going straight to the point of what it wanted

"Everyone dead except 3. 2 are nearly unharmed children while the last is a woman with multiple broken bones. Grimm have been dispatched of by the huntsmen while the big one by me. It was a new Grimm Nuckelavee" The Grimm named Brutus responded and turned it's head to An's body. Surprisingly her chest was still rising and falling

"And I thought we could at least save these people" The voice let out a sigh before responding again "I'm coming to get you and the survivors while Laylon and Summer prepare new rooms in the facility. Protect them Brutus"

"I will doctor. I will"

Oh and before I forget sorry if a lot of these use/will use Ren, Nora, Ciel or characters that arent really part of the main four + Jaune and Pyrrha. I love em and just sad they arent used more
